Chapter 839: Forty-Seven Pins

The first Maitreya Bodhisattva in the family is to inherit the Buddha position of Shakyamuni Buddha, and the next time he becomes a Buddha in this world, he is called Maitreya Buddha.

In fact, Maitreya was born very early! Maitreya Buddha is not a big belly! That is his incarnation, the Budai monk in Anhui, after he nirvana, everyone knew that he was the incarnation of Maitreya, so the statue of Maitreya Buddha later made in China is actually the statue of the Budai monk.

There are many monks and lay people who have made a vow not to be reborn in the Western Elysium, but to be reborn in the inner courtyard of Maitreya according to the Maitreya Sutra, to be reborn in the world with Maitreya Buddha, and to enlighten on the spot under him. For example, in modern times, the disciples led by Master Taixu all made a vow to be reborn in the sky.
Now the Buddha asked Maitreya Bodhisattva to go to visit the illness of the Vima monk for him, and Maitreya Bodhisattva did not dare to go, he said, because Maitreya Bodhisattva was in the Tushi Heaven in the center of the Heavenly Realm of Desire, for the Heavenly King and his dependents, that is, the heavenly soldiers and generals, "said that the eighth Bodhisattva realm, that is, the immovable land, and the non-retreat is the Amitabha Sutra mentioned in the Amida Sutra.
Cultivation will not retreat when it reaches the eighth immovable ground or above, and the bodhisattvas before the seventh ground will still regress, that is, they will fall.
When the Bodhisattva arrives in the eighth place, he is still a little sure that he will live in the womb and be out of the womb, and if he reaches the Bodhisattva in more than ten places, he will not be confused when he lives in the womb and comes out of the womb.
Otherwise, even if it is a great arhat, there is a mystery of isolation from the womb.
Shi Vima came to say to me: Maitreya! The World-Honored One Confers the Record of the Benevolent One, who deserves to attain the three bodhisattvas of the three bodhisattvas in his life, for what purpose is he to be remembered in his life? In the past? What is the future? Now yes? If the past life is born, the past life is destroyed; If the future is born, the future is not yet born; If you are born now, you will not live now.
When Maitreya was speaking the Dharma in Tushitian, Vimala came. Said to Maitreya Bodhisattva, Maitreya, it is said that Shakyamuni Buddha gave you a record at that time, and you were enlightened and enlightened in this life, I ask you, in which life did you get Shakyamuni Buddha's memory?
It is the Buddha's rule to kneel and touch the top of your head by the Buddha and declare what era, what region, and what family environment you will be born in in the next life.
The Buddha gave Maitreya a record, his three great monks and monks of the practice, now this life is a bodhisattva, the next life to come to this world again, inherit the mantle of Shakyamuni Buddha, ascend to the Buddha's throne, at that time the world is peaceful, human life expectancy is 84,000 years old.
Therefore, when Maitreya Buddha came, it was the happiest time in the world, and when Shakyamuni Buddha came, it was the most painful time in the world.
That's why I also say that the two of them are fellow practitioners, but Maitreya Buddha is a little lazy in doing merit and good deeds than Shakyamuni Buddha, so he is one step slower than him.
The Buddha is difficult to do, and I will eat the hardships that I can't endure, and I will be more diligent, so he first became a Buddha, and there is such a story.
Vimala asked Maitreya, "Do you use your past life, your future life, or your present life to receive Buddha receiving?" If you say a past life, the past life has already passed; If it is a future life, the future life has not yet come; If you are born now, you will not be able to grasp it now.
Because, as the Buddha said to some bhikshus, there are several stages of life: birth, old age, and death. Disease is not counted here, disease is a process of aging, people will age once they have a cold, they will age once they have a stomachache, they will age once they laugh or cry, they will also age once, these are all diseases. The four great virtues of life are actually all diseases, and this disease is counted in the elderly.
Joy, anger, sorrow, and joy are all diseases, and they are heart diseases. Physical pain is a physical illness that will cause you to grow old and eventually die. Where are birth, old age, sickness and death?
Note! At this moment, the "Zhuangzi" talks about "life and death".
When I was born at the moment when I began to die, I have died when I was born, I am not the one who grew up, I am not the one I was yesterday, I am not the one I was last year, I have changed a long time ago.
Medically speaking, the cells in a person's body are constantly dying of old age and giving birth to new ones, and metabolism is a cycle every 12 years, and the cells of the whole body are replaced.
We ourselves feel like life, but in fact we are also like death, everything is like a dream.
Master Seng Zhao's "Theory of the Non-Migration of Things" said: "Hui also sees the new, and the arm is not the same", which is a quote from the truth that Confucius told Yan Hui in the "Zhuangzi".
The two of them passed each other, and in just a moment, both of them changed, you are no longer the you just now, and I am not the me just now, everything is in the process of life and death.
Therefore, there is only one time to live and grow old, and the Buddhist scriptures do not remember the time, only for a while, there is no past, there is no future.
The past has passed, the future has not yet come, and it is impossible to get it; The current is said to be in the past, and it is not available.
