Chapter 722 - Payment of Orders Tenth (Medium)

When Fa and the others heard this, they all wept sadly, but only God would not move as usual, and they did not weep or weep.

The master said, "The little teacher of God knows that the good is equal to the bad, that he is not swayed by slander or praise, and that he does not feel sad or happy. No one else can do that, so what have you been cultivating in the mountains all these years? For whom are you worried now that you are weeping and weeping? If I am anxious and do not know where I am going, I myself know where I am going; If I didn't know where I was, I wouldn't have told you in advance. You are sorrowful and weeping because you do not know where I go. If you know I'm going there, you shouldn't be sad and weeping. The Dharma nature has no birth or death, so you all sit down, and I will say a poem for you, called the True and False Movement and Quiet Verse. If you can recite this, you will be of the same mind as mine; If you practice according to this, you will not lose the purpose of the sect. ”

All the disciples bowed to the six ancestors together and asked the master to speak. Here's what the verse says:

All the laws are not true, do not turn them upside down and see them as true.

If it is taken as true, it is not true at all.

If you can know the truth in your own mind, then the truth of your heart is when you are free from falsehood.

The mind cannot be separated from the false, and there is no truth or truth.

Affection is inherently unmoving, and wood and stone are ruthless and do not move.

If you don't move on the part of cultivation, you won't move with the wood and stone.

If you find your own heart, you will not move, and you will not be able to move yourself.

If it is stubborn and unmoving, it is ruthless but there is no Buddha seed.

Able to distinguish the aspects of the law well, and do not move in the first righteousness.

As long as we can see it this way, it is true.

Tell you that you must be intentional in your efforts.

Don't be under the Mahayana sect, but still clinging to life and death.

If we talk about each other, we should discuss the teachings of the Dharma together.

If what is said is not in accord with the truth, let the palms be put together and rejoice.

Originally, the sect was innocent, and if there was a falsehood, morality would be distorted.

Those who stubbornly disobey and disobey the critics will turn their minds into life and death.

At that time, after listening to the verses, the disciples all bowed to the six ancestors together, and they all understood the master's mind, and everyone collected the scattered minds and practiced according to the Fa-rectification, and they did not dare to be obsessed. Everyone knew that the six ancestors could not live in the world for a long time, so the Dharma Sea Throne worshiped the master again and asked, "After the monk is extinguished, to whom will the Dharma be passed on?"

The master said: "Since I have spoken the Dharma in Dafa Temple, until today, it has been recorded and circulated, and it is called the Dharma Treasure Altar Sutra. You guard this sutra, teach it in turn, and transform all sentient beings. As long as you can follow this sutra, it is called the Dharma. I will only speak for you now, and I will not pass on the ancestral clothes again. Because your faith roots have been matured, you have decided that you no longer have doubts, and you are competent enough to propagate the Dharma. But according to the meaning taught by Patriarch Bodhidharma, the ancestral clothes should not be passed on again. The words of Patriarch Bodhidharma are as follows: 'My original intention in coming to Dongtu was to spread the Dharma and gain affection. Yihua is developed into five leaves, and the Bodhi Dao fruit is naturally formed. ’”

The Sixth Patriarch said, "Good knowledge! Each of you has a pure mind, listen to me: if you want to attain all the wisdom of a Buddha, you must attain one samadhi and one samadhi. If one can live in all places without dwelling in all appearances, without resentment or affection in all appearances, without attaching to and abandoning the mind, without caring about the success or failure of interests, and so on, and if you are at peace and quiet, and if you are pure and harmonious, this is called one phase of samadhi. If you have a pure and upright mind everywhere, whether you are walking, living, sitting, or lying down, and you don't have to do anything else in the ashram, then you have truly attained the Pure Land, this is called a line of samadhi. If you can have these two kinds of samadhi, it is like an underground seed, which grows from storage to growth, and finally ripens the fruit. The same goes for one-phase samadhi and one-line samadhi. The Dharma of which I am talking now, such as timely rain, generally moistens all living things on the earth; Your inherent Buddha nature, like all seeds, can sprout and grow when they are moistened by this timely rain. Whoever inherits My will will will attain Bodhi, and whoever does what I say will be able to attain the Wonderful Fruit. Listen to me: 'The heart contains all the seeds, and the rain of the Dharma sprouts.' After the epiphany, the wonderful fruit of Bodhi will come naturally. ’”

After the Sixth Patriarch finished speaking, he said, "There are no two ways of Buddhism, and there is only one kind of mind. The Buddha's path is pure, and there is nothing to cling to. You must not be biased towards 'seeing quietly' and falling into 'hollowness', because your mind is originally pure, and you have no attachment or abandonment. You have to work hard and cherish your fate!"

At this time, all the disciples bowed to the six ancestors and withdrew.

On the 8th day of the seventh month, the Sixth Patriarch suddenly said to his disciples, "I want to go back to Xinzhou, you should hurry up and prepare the ship!"

Everyone resolutely pleaded for retention, and the six ancestors said: "All Buddhas should be born according to fate, and they will also manifest nirvana, and there must be a coming, this is a normal truth." My flesh and bones should have a home. ”

The crowd said, "Master! You're in NSW now, when can you come back?"

The Sixth Ancestor said: "The leaves fall back to the roots, and it is impossible to say that they were born." ”

Then they asked, "To whom has the Dharma Eye Hidden been passed on?"

The Sixth Patriarch said: "Those who have the Tao have my Fa, and those who have no heart have their own teachings." ”

Then he asked, "Is there anything difficult in the future?"

The Sixth Patriarch said, "About five or six years after my destruction, someone will come and steal my head. Listen to my prediction: 'Take the top of your head and wear it as a parent, in order to act on behalf of others, it is difficult to encounter things full of words, and the state and county officials are willows. ’”

He also said, "Seventy years after my destruction, two bodhisattvas will come from the east, one is a monk and the other is a family member, and at the same time they will flourish in the teachings of the Dharma, establish my sect, build Buddhist temples, and prosper the Dharma heirs." ”

The disciple asked, "Since the Buddha appeared, I don't know how many generations have been taught?" Please be gracious!"

The Sixth Patriarch said: "The ancient Buddhas in the world who should be transformed are already countless and immeasurable, and they cannot be calculated. Now let's just start with the seven Buddhas: in the past, when the solemn tribulation was carried out, there were the corpse Buddha of Vibha, the Buddha of the corpse abandonment, and the Buddha of Vaishafu; Now when the virtuous tribulation is made, there are detained Sun Buddha, Kanna Hanmu Buddha, Ka Ye Buddha, and Shakyamuni Buddha. These are the so-called Seven Buddhas.
