Chapter 1066 - Divine Power (3)
Later, Pang Jushi was leaving, and he had a good friend who was a local magistrate in the Tang Dynasty, who was equivalent to a warlord. Pang Jushi knew that he was leaving, so he informed this good friend and asked him to come.
You see, Pang Jushi lives and dies freely, and he can predict when he will leave.
When his friend came, Pang Jushi told him two very important words, "I wish there was nothing in the void, and I would be careful not to have anything in reality." ”
In other words, it is better to put down everything and throw it away, than to catch what you don't have. When he had finished speaking, he leaned his head on his friend and left.
In fact, Pang Jushi told his friend these two sentences, which were puns on the one hand, on the one hand, to talk about Buddhism, and on the other hand, to imply to him, don't be too ambitious and want to be the emperor, he does not have such great blessings.
There is also a saying that Pang Jushi announced that he was leaving at noon the next day, and when it was almost time for the next day, he asked his daughter to come out of the room to see if the sun was over.
Lingzhao went out to look at it, and came back and said, "When the top is the top, but there is an extra circle around the sun." Pang Jushi felt strange, so he sat down to see it himself, and he knew that Lingzhao actually sat on it by himself and took the first step. You say that Pang Jushi has no supernatural powers, how can he predict the date of death?
You said that Pang Jushi has magical powers, and he actually fell for his daughter! When Pang Jushi returned to the room, his daughter had already left, and he had to leave one step later.
His son was working in the fields, and his wife ran to tell him that the old man was gone, and when he heard this, he stood with a hoe and left.
The old lady looked at this scene, and the family of four walked three times at once, so angry that she "didn't know what to do". I speculated that Pang Po may have gone to Hanshan Temple in a fit of anger, because it is recorded in the literature that an old woman often appeared in Hanshan Temple at that time, so I made such an association. Their family is sure of life and death, and they have the power to be at ease.
Speaking back to the Vimala Sutra, Shi Tihuan called this sutra "incredible, free and supernatural, and a classic that determines reality." Decision is absolute, and reality is the body of the Tao.
If you want to talk about Zen Buddhism, you can't do without this scripture, and the "Lengyan Sutra" was added later. Zen cannot be taught, it is not based on words, and once it is expressed in words, it is no longer it, it is not reality. Reality has no appearance, how can we talk about things that have no appearance? You say emptiness, and emptiness is also phase. So the true Dharma is unspeakable, inconceivable. We are now reluctantly expressing ourselves in the unspeakable, the unbelievable.
As I explained the righteousness of the Buddha, if there are sentient beings who hear this sutra and believe in it, those who believe in it and read it, they will have no doubt about the Dharma, let alone practice?
He continued, "According to my understanding of the Buddha's teachings and intentions, if anyone listens to this sutra and can believe, understand, receive, keep, read, and recite this sutra, he must have truly understood the Dharma as it is taught.
If you understand it, you have to follow the practice to verify it.
When it comes to reading the Bible, when I was a child, my elders said that reading should be in Tibet. Later, when I studied Buddhism, I realized that it was necessary to read the alayya consciousness, the Tibetan knowledge. If you can enter Tibet, not only will you not forget it for the rest of your life, but you will not forget it for the rest of your life.
There is a famous saying: It is too late to read a book in this life. It's true, when I took some ancient books, I understood the content and remembered it, as if I had read it before, but I knew that I had not read it in my life.
Some colleagues say that your memory is not good, and this is most likely because you have the wrong way of reading, so you have to read aloud to make it easier to really read. You listened to the Vimala Sutra here, did you read it when you went back? If you don't read it, how can you "have to be the law"? There are many things to remember first, and when the opportunity comes, you will suddenly understand.
Si people are closed to all evil tastes, open all good doors, and are often protected by the Buddhas. Those who can read and recite this sutra and practice according to the law can avoid all evil pleasures and open all good doors. We often accidentally have the heart of a beast, which is the behavior of the animal. That look of viciousness and resentment. If we can't avoid evil tastes, how can we open the door to good?
As long as you learn Buddhism, you can learn Buddhism as long as you often use this "closing all evil interests and opening all good doors" to remind yourself. If you can do it, you will naturally be able to "always be protected by the Buddhas".
If the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas want to be added to you, you must first have a foundation, and you don't have any capital, how can he add to you?
