Chapter 934: Why Study Buddhism (1)

The bodhisattva now lives in the body of a scholar and has a family life, but his inner state is not tainted by distracting thoughts. In other words, he doesn't sink, the mud sinks. He is always detached, he is jumped out. He is honest and honest, not too shrewd and sharp, but looks wooden. But when it really involves the Dharma, there is no obstacle in arguing.

How can we be able to argue without hindrance? If you want your practice to become dharani, you are always holding the Dharma. The ancients had a glance and ten elements, well-read and strong memory, and had a particularly good understanding, and learned all the laws of the world, and learned not to lose their memory, let alone have no memory, so that they always have no loss. It's not like me, I read the Bible and forget it, and I forget it after listening to it. You don't have to be sloppy, you have to repent well, this is the karmic result of no memory, and many lives of calamity and loss, so this life has a poor memory. Repent and ask for more smell, otherwise you will be even more stupid in the next life.

Don't use Tao Yuanming's sentence to describe Mr. Wuliu's "reading does not seek to understand" to explain yourself, pretending to be chic.

You can't learn Buddhism like this, you must hear more and memorize it. With concentration, memory is stronger.

If you think that you are meditating and you don't know anything, then you have to study that state of concentration more, and you may have reached the state of ignorance.

This must not be had, so at this time, it is necessary to quickly meditate, not just meditate.

Some people should not even practice meditation, but should practice rest, and rest is not ignorance, not drowsiness, but clarity. The various methods must be known and treated.

"Manifesting into the evil realm, and using the righteous to save all sentient beings, now entering the realms, and cutting off their causes, appearing in Nirvana, and constantly living and dying." The Mahayana bodhisattvas manifest the actions of evil sects, but the real purpose is to make sentient beings change their evil ways and return to righteousness, but the way of expression is different.

He came and came all the way, in order to save all sentient beings, as mentioned earlier: "The one who should be saved in what form he should be in is the one who appears." That is to say, "the present enters the paths and breaks off their causes", and the attainment of the Buddha does not come if he does not enter Nirvana.

"Manjushri, the bodhisattva can walk in the wrong way in this way, in order to attain the Buddha's path." Mahayana bodhisattvas can do this, and on the surface it seems that they are not taking the path of cultivation, but are truly practicing the Dharma.

Vimalaya then asked Manjushri, "What is the seed?" ”

When Vimala had finished speaking, he turned to Manjushri with a question. In terms of the worldly law, everything has a seed, and only when the seed is planted can it blossom and bear fruit.

Why do we study Buddhism? Where is the best place to study?

According to the Buddhist scriptures, the Buddha said that it is best to learn in this world, and all the Buddhas of the Ten Directions and the Third World should come to this world to study, because there are troubles, pains, good, evil, and opportunities for tempering. Therefore, studying Buddhism in other worlds is very slow and not very successful.

Our world is called the world of sampa, which means endurance, and there are many troubles and sufferings in this world, and sentient beings can endure birth, old age, sickness and death here, so it is easy to achieve.

Manjushri said: There is a body as a seed, ignorance and love as a seed, greed and ignorance as a seed, four upside-down as a seed, five covers as a seed, six into a seed, seven consciousnesses as a seed, eight evil dharmas as a seed, nine afflictions as a seed, and ten unwholesome paths as a seed. In other words, the sixty-two views and all afflictions are Buddha species.

Manjushri's answer is that the Buddha knows that this body is a combination of the four falsehoods, but it is not possible to do without this body, and he has to practice through it, so he has a body. Ignorance and love are bad, they are the root of our afflictions, and we can't enlighten because our thoughts are in ignorance. Life in this world comes from love, and if there is greed, there is desire. Studying Buddhism should have broken through ignorance and attained enlightenment, turning love into compassion, but without them as seeds, you can't become a Buddha!
