When his deep and gentle gaze fell on me, I felt that he had already seen the fate of my eternal reincarnation.

Each time a row of lamps was lit, the chime on the temple sounded crisply. My heart shook.

All the lights reflect each other and contain each other, casting our countless shadows on the walls and on the ground, as if each of us had an infinite number of incarnations.

After lighting the last lamp, I stood there and looked at the rows of lamps spreading on both sides of the hall, feeling warm and settled in my heart.

A particularly familiar feeling came over me. I feel like I've been through a scene like this, a moment like this.

I savor the familiarity. I'm pretty sure it happened more than once, but, I can't remember when.

I float in and out of that vague memory.

In this vague trance, I suddenly heard a voice in my ear saying: "Hundreds of thousands of eons of offerings, thousands of hardships to come here, the root of life and death, why not stop now?" ”

I was taken aback, and when I looked back, I couldn't find the person who spoke.

I look at you, at the huge rosary on the chest of the great lama.

I said, "Nothing. It may be that there is a lack of fatigue on the road. I feel a little dazed. ”

He said: "It's a fate to come thousands of miles to meet. Mrs. Jun and the general don't remember the old monk anymore, but the old monk still remembers when you were young. ”

I looked at you. You say, "Did the Archmage see us when we were children?" ”

The Grand Lama nodded. He said: "The old monk has participated in the super **** of Mrs. Jun and the general's mother. ”

He said: "At that time, the old monk was still studying Buddhism in the Han land, and stayed in the Han monastery in the Cuijiaji area. The old monk was invited by the Dingguo Gong twice to visit your Cui family with the monks of the single monastery. At that time, Mrs. Jun was still a baby, still in infancy, and had no impression of the old monk, and the general was still a child, and he should have a hazy memory of the old monk. However, your uncle Ding Youren should be able to remember the old monk. ”

The Grand Lama said: "At that time, your uncle once asked me two things, one is that a scholar once said that Mrs. Jun was born with phoenix eyes, and her life is noble, I don't know if it is credible; The second is that the general has been weak since he was a child, and he doesn't know if he can grow up smoothly. ”

We looked at each other again, and we could know these two things, and I thought that what he said was indeed true.

He laughed, "Time flies so fast. Now, your uncle's questions have been answered, and there is no need to ask the old monk again. ”

You get up again and bow to the Great Lama: "It turns out that the Great Lama overtook our mother when we were young. Mrs. Jun and I should thank the Great Lama for his mercy for my mother. ”

So, I also got up and bowed and thanked the great lama again.

The great lama said: "General, please speak, the old monk knows everything, and he must know everything." ”

You say, "After the end of the unknown war, how long will the peace in the world last?" ”

The great lama looks at you and says, "There should be more than two hundred years." Although there were sporadic battles during this period, there was no risk of war. ”

He said: "This number is not a fixed number. People's hearts are peaceful, the peace in the world is naturally long-lasting, and people's hearts are chaotic, and naturally the chaos in the world will follow. But look at people's hearts. ”

You say, "In the next life, you will fight on horses and kill people, and it seems that such a person is not qualified to get close to the Buddha and make offerings to the Three Jewels?" Wouldn't a person like Zaixia, who was covered with blood debts, stand in a temple and defile the purity of the Buddha's door? ”

The Great Lama said: "Buddhism pays attention to the universality of sentient beings, even if they are not close to Buddhism, they must be compassionate and saved, how can they refuse anyone who has the heart to seek the Dharma." ”

The Grand Lama said: "The Buddhist offering is a great meaning, and it is not just a way to provide for the goods of the monastery. The general can end the war as soon as possible and start peace as his life's ambition, although he has the power to destroy the country, but he is not exhausted, and the new beginning of the war is already a compassionate move to benefit all sentient beings. Benefiting sentient beings is the fundamental wish of all Buddhas, and the heart of the Great General has long corresponded to the heart of the Buddhas. ”

The Grand Lama said: "It's just that killing to stop the war, although it is quick for a while, sows a lot of seeds of hatred, and these seeds, when the opportunity comes, will evolve into a new fighting campaign, which is not the fundamental policy." It is equivalent to just cutting the grass on the ground, but leaving the grass roots underground, and the spring breeze will still be full of trees in the coming year. The general wants to come here, and he has already realized it. ”

Say, "Indeed, as the Great Lama showed." It's just that I don't know what is the fundamental strategy to eradicate war and long-term peace? ”

The Great Lama said, "The wars in the world originate from the turmoil of the human heart. If we want to eradicate war, we need to start with people's hearts. As the general has already realized, the people's hearts are uneasy, and the land is not safe. ”

He said: "If people's hearts are quarrelsome, it is inevitable that you will fight for each other in the world, and only when people's hearts are not contested can the world be free of disasters and disasters." ”

You say, "The Great Lama's teachings, in one word, have a deep understanding below." It's a pity that it's too late to wake up in this life, and the years have passed, full of sins, and it is difficult to fulfill my wishes. I deeply hope that in the next life, I will have the opportunity to stay away from killing and dedicate myself to the mission of educating people's hearts. ”

The Grand Lama recited "Nam no Amitabha" and said, "Good, good, good." The general has this understanding and this sad wish, which is really a blessing for the people in the world. ”
