Chapter 808: Barbecue Conference

The reason why getting to know Fondafeng is so important to me is that he is the lock of a door, the general hub of a certain type of social relationship and interpersonal network. Pen % fun % Pavilion www.biquge.info
The many people I have met through Fondafeng have enriched and changed the face of my life.
According to common sense, Fang Dafeng should be surrounded by some ignorant people, such as some rich and stubborn old ladies. But this is not the case. Most of Fang Dafeng's friends turned out to be well-known university scholars.
As a charlatan, the most attractive thing about Fang Dafeng is his interpersonal circle. He knew so many famous scientists, and gradually turned his family's weekend barbecue into a club for famous scientists, especially astrophysicists.
It must be said that his barbecue has a unique flavor and is a rare delicacy. But that's by no means the main reason why scientists flock to the city.
Scientists are more puzzled as to why Fang Dafeng is not a scholar who can often penetrate into the mysteries of the human heart, or predict some future that is coming.
There is no such thing as a scientist who is completely unconfused about the truth of life in the universe. Although the whole society has been superstitious about science for hundreds of years, one thing is undeniable: science has not been able to explain the origin and end of the universe so far, where we are born and where we are after death. The existing views are only logical inferences or scientific assumptions, and there is a difference between this and the truth.
The more scientists there are, the more intense the desire to find out the truth of things. The more they are interested in "supernatural" abilities and phenomena. At the barbecue meeting, they thought that they would find some tricks from Fang Dafeng.
As a result, their curiosity about the "supernatural" was exploited by Fang Dafeng, who did not tell them the secrets of the little supernatural powers that he relied on for his livelihood, but only talked to him about him left and right, and generously gave him delicious barbecue.
Because every weekend, the Fang family's dining table is full of Confucianism, BBQ is not white, others look at Fang Dafeng, and naturally have a little more awe and reverence, generally speaking, they will not doubt whether he is a charlatan.

Even if Fang Dafeng is a charlatan, he is not an ordinary charlatan.
I will talk about two or three things about him, from which you can see the depth of his ways.
On New Year's Day, Fondafeng usually sends me a congratulatory text message on Christmas Eve. Here's a text he sent me last year: "Thank God for letting me have it. Thank God for letting me not have it. "Even if this one is not original to him, being able to choose this one shows that his eyesight is extraordinary.
Once, Fong Tat-feng and I were chatting, and somehow, we talked about children's education. He has three boys.
"Whenever I think of the word 'pitiful', two things always come to mind: the first is the cashier of the bank, who counts a lot of money every day, but does not enjoy the feeling of having wealth; The second is a spoon, which is a daily shuttle between the dishes, but you can't taste the slightest deliciousness. ”
"I talk about these two things a lot to my kids," he says. As a father, I don't expect anything else from them, except that they don't have to live their lives as cashiers or a spoon. - But you know, it's not about encouraging them to have money or to indulge in sex. ”
Fang Dafeng said: Reading is for the sake of reason. After understanding reason, we must put the truth into practice in our body, mind, words and deeds. Otherwise, it will not change the trajectory of life.
I think he said it quite wisely and very scientifically.
People who can speak such profound scientific words must still have a bit of Taoism.

Fang Dafeng also studied Zen Buddhism. This is one of the hot topics we talk about.
Once, Fang Dafeng said to me: "If you don't leave home, you can know the world", which originally came from Lao Tzu's saying: "If you don't go out of the house, you can know the world". As the discourse evolves, so does the meaning. Lao Tzu's original words were misunderstood by later people. Fang said, this sentence is not the meaning of the textbook when you were in school. The original meaning of "Lao Tzu" is not the comprehension of Xiucai.
I said, "So, what did Lao Tzu mean?"
Fang Dafeng said triumphantly: Where does Xiucai know the world? From the books of history? No! It is from this body and mind that you know! That "world" is not a geographical concept, let alone a "political world" in the eyes of Xiucai, but the inner world of all things in the universe and all their spiritual beings in the eyes of enlightened beings.
He said: That "household" is not the door of the study, but the door of your own body and mind, just like the "portal" that the Zen master asked in the past, "There is a real person who often enters and exits your door from the face"!
The secret is not outside, the secret is in you. The avenue is not outside, the avenue is inside your skin.
If you go out to beg, ask the teacher to give it to you, ask the gods to protect you, ask the saints to realize it through the rectification of the world, and ask the scientists to realize it through the development of science and technology, you will be far away.
The monk of Zhaozhou asked Nanquan Zen Master: If I don't go out to look for it, how can I know which road leads to the Great Dao?
Zen Master Nanquan told him, if you don't go out, get closer to it, and as soon as you go out, you will get farther and farther away from it.
Fang Dafeng said: "Those scientists look out at the Hubble telescope every day, where can they see the truth of the world. The wrong way. They should turn back to that faculty of observation and look inside the body and mind. All the mysteries of the world are nowhere else, all within our own bodies and minds. ”
Hearing him say this, I immediately remembered what you said back then: the target of shooting is not outside, but inside. Aim inward, not outward.
I remembered the supernatural phenomena you had shown me to take copy paper in the air, hit the bull's-eye with your mind, and foresee the number of dice. I know that's not magic. Because I can do a little bit myself, such as telepathy with you, to be able to read your inner workings, to be able to predict the next dice. You say that everyone has this instinct, and through training, you can remove obstacles and manifest your instinct. I believe in you very much. Because I've experienced this kind of function. It is indeed a function that does not need to be taught externally. It's just that everyone's psychological condition is different, and the degree and scope of their ability to use it are also different.
From your demonstrations and my own physical and mental experience, I believe that every life is omniscient and omnipotent. However, depending on the degree of obstacle to acquired habits, the application varies. This is what is said in the "Three Character Classic": "Sex is similar, Xi is far away." "Instincts are all the same, because of different habits and differences in application ability.
