Chapter 005: Defeat Liu Xuan
Yuan Shu recommended Sun Ce as the captain of Zhichong, and then let him act as the general of the Kou Kou, and let him go south, Xiaobawang could finally gallop to the south of the Yangtze River, and the first enemy he faced at that time was Yangzhou Mu Liu Xuan.
And God is pitiful, Liu Miao didn't stay in Yangzhou for a few years at all, and he ushered in his own bitter master.
【First Arrival in Koto】
Although Yuan Shu let Sun Ce go south, he only prepared more than 1,000 soldiers and corresponding military supplies for Sun Ce, and dozens of war horses, which were basically only enough for Sun Jian's old troops. However, none of this could dampen the morale of Sun Ce's people, and there were hundreds of Sun Ce's guests who were willing to follow him at that time.
At that time, Zhou Yu's father, Zhou Shang, was Danyang Taishou. It happened that Sun Ce entered Liyang and was about to cross east, so he wrote a letter to his little Zhou Yu. Zhou Yu then led his troops to greet Sun Ce and gave him strong support, aiding military expenses and grain and grass, Sun Ce was very happy and said: "I will definitely succeed if I get your help!" ”
So when Sun Ce arrived in Liyang, his army grew to five or six thousand. At that time, Sun Ce's mother's family had moved from Qu'a to Liyang under Zhu Zhi's arrangement, and Sun Ce moved his mother and others to Fuling to live in order to be safe.
After Sun Ce solved his worries, he officially went south to crusade against Liu Xuan.
【Looking】
After Sun Ce went south, he was full of vigor and turned a blind eye, Liu Miao and his subordinates were not his opponents at all.
In order to defend against the Yuan Shu faction Fan Neng and Yu Mi stationed in Hengjiangjin on the Yangtze River, they formed a strong defense line with their colleague Zhang Ying stationed in Dangli, and the Yuan Shu faction Wu Jing, Sun Ben and others did not fight for more than a year until Sun Ce came to support. After Sun Ce arrived, he listened to the advice of Xu Kun's mother to attack Hengjiang and Dangli, and conquered them one after another, Fan Neng and Zhang Ying were defeated and fled, and the stalemate of more than a year was ended by Sun Ce. Then, Sun Ce attacked continuously, invincible, and no one could resist his sharpness.
After defeating Fan Neng and Zhang Ying, Sun Ce crossed the river with his army, marched south from Liyang, and first defeated Liu Xuanjun of the Niuzhu battalion, seized all the grain and weapons and weapons in the warehouse, and further strengthened his strength. Then attacked Moling, at that time guarding here was attached to Liu Xuan, Xue Rong, both of them with Liu Xuan as the alliance leader, Xue Li occupied Moling City, and Zhenrong was stationed in the south of the county.
According to the "Biography of Jiang Biao", at that time, Sun Ce first attacked Zhenrong, and there were more than 500 beheadings in the direct battle between the two sides. Sun Ce turned to attack Xue Li, and Xue Li broke through and fled. At this time, Fan Neng, Yu Lu and others gathered soldiers to seize Niu Zhu. Sun Ce immediately returned to the army, defeated them, and captured more than 10,000 men and women.
Sun Ce once again defeated Fan Neng, Yu Lu and others and then re-attacked Zhenrong. But during the battle, Sun Ce was shot in the leg and could not ride a horse, so his subordinates carried him back to the camp to heal his wounds. Someone said to Zhen Rong: "Sun Lang was killed by an arrow!" At that time, Sun Ce was only in his twenties, and although he had an official title, people still called him "Sun Lang".
When Zhen Rong heard the news of Sun Ce's death, he was overjoyed and sent soldiers to confront Sun Ce's troops. Sun Ce first sent hundreds of soldiers and horses to challenge and lure the enemy, and then set up an ambush behind. The enemy attacked, Sun Cebu pretended to be defeated, led the enemy into the encirclement, and then gave an order, ambushed the troops, and killed more than 1,000 enemies. Sun Ce took advantage of the victory to attack the Zhenrong camp, and ordered his soldiers to shout: "How is Sun Lang?" The sound shook the enemy camp, the ground shook the mountains, and frightened many enemy soldiers to flee overnight. Seeing that Sun Ce was still there, Zhen Rong became more and more vigilant and cautious, deep ditches and high bases, and strictly guarded.
Sun Ce saw that Zhenrong was holding on to the danger and was difficult to conquer for a while, so he led his troops southward, first defeating Liu Xuan's other troops at Meiling (now Nanling County, Anhui), and then transferring his troops to attack Huyu (now Nanhushu Town, Jiangning County, Jiangsu), Jiangcheng (now north of Jurong County, Jiangsu) and other places. All of them were conquered by Sun Ce.
According to the records in "Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wu, and Biography of Concubines", Wu Jing attacked Zhenrong and Xue Li in Moling. At that time, Sun Ce was injured in Niuzhu, and the thieves rebelled again, and Wu Jing went to attack and captured them all. This is not exactly the same as the content in "The Biography of Jiang Biao", but it may also be that Sun Ce was injured twice.
But after a series of victories, Sun Ce has already hit Liu Xuan's old nest Qu'a.
At this time, Tai Shici, a fellow county of Liu Xuan, came to visit Liu Xuan from Donglai at this time, and was just in time for Sun Ce to attack Qu'a. Someone persuaded Liu Miao to appoint Tai Shi Ci as a general, Liu Xiang said: "If I appoint Tai Shi Ci, Xu Shao won't laugh at me!" So he only sent Tai Shi Ci to reconnoiter the enemy's movements.
Once, Tai Shi Ci only took one cavalry out, and suddenly met Sun Ce in the Divine Pavilion, and there were thirteen knights who followed Sun Ce at that time, all of whom were old generals who followed Sun Jian back then, such as Han Dang, a native of Liaoxi, and Huang Gai, a native of Lingling. Tai Shi Ci then went forward to fight, facing Sun Ce, Sun Ce stabbed Tai Shi Ci's horse with a shot, and captured the halberd stuck in the back of Tai Shi Ci's neck, and Tai Shi Ci also won Sun Ce's helmet. At this moment, the cavalry of the two families arrived at the same time, and the two sides dispersed.
Liu Xuan did not reuse Tai Shici, and he was not Sun Ce's opponent at all, so he was soon defeated and forced to retreat to Dantu.
Sun Ce thus defeated his first enemy in Jiangdong, Yangzhou Mu Liu Xuan, laying a solid foundation for the future unification of Jiangdong.
There is another record of the Battle of Shenting in the "Wu Calendar", which believes that Tai Shici was directly captured by Sun Ce here.
It is recorded that Tai Shi Ci was defeated in the Shenting Pavilion and captured by Sun Cesheng. And Sun Ce heard his name, so he immediately untied himself and asked Tai Shici for the way to forge ahead. Tai Shi Ci replied: "The general of the defeated army is not qualified to talk about this matter with adults. ”
Sun Ce said: "In the past, Han Xin was able to settle his plan in Guangwu, and now I, Sun Ce, of course, can also ask the benevolent for a way to solve the doubts, how can you refuse?" ”
Tai Shici said: "The Yangzhou army has recently been newly broken, and the soldiers are all scattered, and it is difficult to get together again; I will go out and proclaim your favor to them, to appease them, and to draw them to your side, but I am afraid that it will not be in your way to do so. When Sun Ce saw Tai Shi Ci say this, he knelt down and replied to him: "What you said is what I, Sun Ce, thought in my heart." Tomorrow at noon, I hope you can come back in time. ”
At that time, the generals under Sun Ce's command were very suspicious of Tai Shi Ci, and only Sun Ce insisted: "Tai Shi Ziyi is a famous man in Qingzhou, and he has always put faith and righteousness first, and he will never deceive me." On the second day, Sun Ce set up a banquet to invite the generals, and he set up food and wine in advance, and also set up a bamboo pole in the camp to inspect the shadow of the sun. At noon, Tai Shici really returned as promised, and Sun Ce was overjoyed, and he discussed military affairs with him in the future.
However, this record in the "Wu Calendar" is too different from other sources, so it is very likely to be a fallacy and cannot be used as a basis.
