vs 15 The Middle Way is also a virtue
In order to attain the liberation of Nirvana, and to have an understanding of the Buddha's Middle Way thought, and then to develop the individual self into my home, my school, my society, my country, my nation, my earth, and my universe, this is the selfless realm where heaven and earth coexist with me, and all things are one with me. Or we use our love for goodness, love our family well, infect everyone around us with kindness, and slowly learn to give. In this way, not only can you dissolve the pain caused by love itself, but you can also truly liberate yourself coolly. This is to turn heat and annoyance into coolness, turn dryness into jade silk, and turn pain into happiness. Everyone helps the Buddha's boat of wisdom on the middle way and ascends to the other side of nirvana together, which is the original intention of the Buddha's teachings on the middle way.

In order to explain the idea of the Middle Way in more detail, we have talked about Buddhism, which is not a short article, and I hope you can understand it. If you taste it carefully, the Buddha's view of the Middle Way is still very beneficial. The Buddha is Shakyamuni, the Dharma is boundless, we will write here first, and then we will study Chinese Buddhism more deeply. When understanding Buddhist words, don't blindly focus on a certain word, after all, many Buddhist words are far away from our daily life. Our usual living environment is the best place to practice, and we can't talk about practicing without a real life, and the purpose of practice is not to be bothered by worldly troubles and live a happier life. Some people say that learning Taoism to be a man, learning Confucianism to live in the world, and learning Buddhism to cultivate the mind, this sentence is very reasonable.
In this life, in fact, two things can be done well, the first thing is to love yourself. To love oneself is to find a happy way of life without violating social morality and harming the interests of others, and to find more points that can bring happiness to oneself. The second thing is that when you reach a certain age, you have to let go of some things, cherish the people you cherish, and you must give time and love to these people, because this is the most beautiful thing in the world. Do these two things well, and people will live a lifetime without regrets.
When we were young, we always did one thing, which is called persistence; When we get older, we continue to do this, and it's called faith. Sometimes the difficulty of life does not lie in how embarrassing the material conditions are, but because it slowly changes a person's heart, personality, and cognition, and loses the judgment of truth, goodness and beauty, and loses the correct definition of a happy life. In the dead of night, ask yourself, is the life you want now? Think about your future plans and make them happen in that direction, instead of doing nothing and doing unnecessary things all day.
A person who has a career to pursue can make his dreams higher. Although it started as a dream, as long as you keep doing it and don't give up easily, the dream can become a reality. To do one thing, before success, there is no need to tell other people. After success, you don't need to say it, everyone else will know. Don't define happiness in life by the success or failure of your career or the amount of income, they are just a kind of vassal, and there is no necessary connection with the connotation of happiness. As long as you have a normal heart in everything, do not complain, do not be jealous, do not slacken, and do not be indifferent, happiness will naturally always be by your side.
The three cultivation of life: see through and think openly, take it and put it down, stand up and walk straight. The three blessings of life: peace is a blessing, health is a blessing, and suffering is a blessing. Three indisputables in life: do not compete with superiors, do not compete with peers for favor, and do not compete with subordinates. The three pleasures of life: good wine, best friends, and pillow books. Three regrets in life: I don't make friends when I meet good friends, I don't grasp good opportunities, and I don't learn when I meet teachers. The three things in life are: harmony is precious, kindness is the foundation, and honesty is the first.
Push aside the receding haze, face the morning sun, stretch your arms, and have a ray of warmth. Stepping into a fresh place, the heart is full of green, take a drop of morning dew to taste its sweetness, wildflowers gently spit out Yanrui and smile lightly, and pond willows gently shake their clothes fluttering. The green grass treads the waves with the wind, the wind stops, stretches the silent indifference, and sincerely asks: Friend, are you in a good mood? How long has it been since you gave your soul a vacation?
(3) Aristotle's middle way: good character
In order to further explain the Middle Way, let's learn about the great Greek philosopher Aristotle's Middle Way thought. Aristotle was born in 384 BC and died in 322 BC, when China was in the Warring States period. When a hundred flowers bloomed in the Chinese philosophical circles, Western philosophers also began to think deeply about the truth, and the typical three generations were Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. It is enough for a good teacher to have a proud student, because by teaching him the truth, he will not only inherit it, but also develop it, and even carry it forward.
Aristotle, an ancient Greek, a great philosopher, scientist and educator of ancient times, one of the top ten celebrities in the world, is the master of Greek philosophy. He was a pupil of Plato and a teacher of Alexandria. Marx once called him the most learned of the ancient Greek philosophers, and his writings covered ethics, metaphysics, psychology, economics, theology, political science, rhetoric, natural sciences, pedagogy, poetry, customs, and Athenian law. Aristotle's writings constructed the first extensive system of Western philosophy, including morality, aesthetics, logic, science, and politics, among others.
Aristotle put forward his doctrine of the Middle Way in the process of discussing happiness and virtue, and analyzed and demonstrated it from many perspectives. His Middle Way Thought is the inheritance and development of the ancient Greek traditional thought, and it is fundamentally different from the Middle Way thought spoken by other schools. This idea of his is still of great significance today for controlling people's selfish desires and improving people's moral feelings. Aristotle pointed out that excess, inadequacy are the characteristics of evil, and moderation is the characteristic of virtue. Virtue is related to people's feelings and practices, and there are excessive, inadequate, and middle ways in people's feelings and practices.
Each virtue is a middle way between two extremes, and each extreme is a sin, as evidenced by the consideration of different virtues. Courage is the middle way between cowardice and recklessness; Leiluo is the middle way between profligacy and obscenity; Neither humility nor arrogance is the middle way between vanity and humility; Wit is the middle way between funny and vulgar; Humility is the middle way between shyness and shamelessness, and so on. However, there are some virtues that do not seem to fit into this format, such as truthfulness. Aristotle said that truthfulness is the middle way between boasting and hypocrisy, but this can only be applied to the truthfulness of oneself personally, and truthfulness in the broad sense does not fit into this format.
Aristotle's idea of the Middle Way is put forward on the basis of objective things existing in nature and our subjective ideas, and the purpose is to make people try to be as peaceful as possible, have a moderate state of mind, and do not go to the extremes of things, whether it is from the perspective of personal conduct or national governance. As a rational criterion for our emotions and behaviors, the Middle Way will make society more just and harmonious.
