Section 541 Three Passes of the Spring and Autumn Period

The beauty of life is always shown in her enterprising; Just like the beauty of a tree, it is displayed in its vigorous vitality that towers upwards into the clouds; Like the beauty of the eagle, it is displayed in its soaring soul that fights the wind and rain; Like the beauty of the river, it is displayed in its turbulent and rushing current.

Life is like a mountain, the important thing is not its height, but the beauty; Life is like a rain, the important thing is not its size, but the timeliness. Life is like a book, there should be more wonderful details and less boring words; Life is like a song, there should be more high-spirited melody and less sad notes; Life is like a painting, there should be more bright colors and less gray tones.

Spring flowers will bloom. If you've ever experienced winter, you've had spring; If you have faith, then spring must be far away; If you are giving, then one day you will have a garden full of flowers. When you are in the warm breeze, the birds singing and the fragrance of flowers, the spring scenery of green mountains and green waters, you will definitely be intoxicated; Have you ever thought that the pure color is the heroic appearance after the baptism of the severe cold, and the beautiful scenery of the golden autumn is the crystallization after the scorching heat.

Dealing with people is still the most difficult thing in a person's life. Treat others without hitting, scolding, being rude, touching or using your fingers; Don't speak, don't see, don't hear, don't move; Meditation and morality, defensive counterattack; Don't say how you accumulate virtue, don't say how others consume virtue, don't speculate on the future of others; The way to accumulate virtue is: eat well, sleep well, exercise well, work hard, treat family affection well, treat love well, and stick to your dreams; The right time, the right place, the right person, the right action.

After writing "Three Rites", let's write "Three Biography". "Three Legends of the Spring and Autumn Period" is the collective name of "Zuo's Spring and Autumn Biography", "Spring and Autumn Ram Biography" and "Spring and Autumn Valley Liang Biography". The Spring and Autumn scriptures are concise and profound, and cannot be understood without commentary. "The Three Biography of the Spring and Autumn Period" are all chronicles.

"Spring and Autumn" is a common name for ancient Chinese chronicles and history books. According to the records of the Book of Han and the Historical Records, when Confucius wrote the Spring and Autumn Period, he and Zuo Qiu Ming visited the historical records of the Lu State, discussed humanity according to the events, and used the sun and the moon to determine the number of calendars. Then, what the disciples later said was different from each other. Zuo Qiu Ming was afraid that his disciples would be at ease with their own intentions and lose the truth, so he discussed the original matter and passed it on to prove that the master did not speak with empty words. As for the "Legend of the Ram" and "The Legend of Gu Liang", they are oral transmissions, and they were written after several generations. "Ram Biography" is the ram of Qi Gao passed on to Zixia, and then passed on to his son, descendants passed on by word of mouth, to Emperor Jing of the Han Dynasty, by the ram Gao's great-great-grandson Ram Shou and Qi people Hu Musheng co-written into a book. When and who started the book "The Biography of Gu Liang" is not known in history. According to the notes of the Hejaz, it is only known that the original inheritor is Gu Liangzi of the Lu State.

"Zuo Chuan" was originally called "Zuo's Spring and Autumn", and in the Han Dynasty, it was changed to "Spring and Autumn Zuo's Biography", referred to as "Zuo Chuan". "Zuo Biography" is essentially an independently written history book. It starts from the first year of Lu Yin (722 B.C.) and ends in the fourteenth year of Lu Mourning (453 B.C.), based on the Spring and Autumn Period, and explains the outline of the Spring and Autumn Period by describing the specific historical facts of the Spring and Autumn Period, which is one of the important Confucian classics.

Zuo Chuan is an important classic for recording the social conditions of the Spring and Autumn Period, with an emphasis on remembering people and events. The content is mostly based on the royal archives, Lu Shi Ceshu, and the history of the princes' states. The chronicle is basically in the order of the Twelve Dukes of Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and the content includes appointments, alliances, conquests, weddings and funerals, usurpations, etc., which have an important impact on later historiography and literature. It mainly records the decline of the Zhou royal family and the history of the princes' struggle for hegemony, and describes and comments on various etiquette norms, rules and regulations, social customs, ethnic relations, moral concepts, astronomy and geography, calendar seasons, ancient documents, myths and legends, songs and rumors.

Fan Ning, a Confucian scholar in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, commented on the characteristics of the "Three Legends of the Spring and Autumn Period" and said: "The articles of the "Zuo Chuan" are beautiful and have many materials, but the shortcomings are that they talk about ghosts and gods and predict good and bad fortunes; "The Biography of Gu Liang" is clear and subtle and euphemistic, but the disadvantage is that there is a shortage of information; "The Legend of the Ram" has a clear narrative and is good at judgment, but the disadvantage is that it is sloppy. Of course, this is just a family story.

Zuo Chuan is an important document for the study of pre-Qin history and the history of the Spring and Autumn Period, which represents the highest achievement of pre-Qin historiography and has had a great impact on the historiography of later generations, especially the status of chronicles. It supplements and enriches the content of the Spring and Autumn Period, not only recording the historical facts of the Lu country, but also the history of various countries; It not only records political events, but also covers a wide range of events in all areas of society; It changed the "Spring and Autumn" ledger-style historical method, which was rich in content, and replaced it with a systematic and organized method of compiling historical books; It not only records the historical facts of the Spring and Autumn Period, but also cites many ancient historical facts. This has greatly enhanced the historical value of "Zuo Chuan".

"The Legend of the Ram", also known as "The Legend of the Ram in the Spring and Autumn Period" and "The Spring and Autumn Period of the Ram", is a classic book dedicated to explaining the "Spring and Autumn Period", its beginning and ending years are the same as the "Spring and Autumn Period", that is, from 722 BC to 481 BC, its interpretation history is very brief, and focuses on the interpretation of the so-called subtle meaning of the "Spring and Autumn Period", and interprets the scriptures in the form of questions and answers.
