Chapter 6: Crowley's 'Wardrobe'
Zach was greeted by Mike, who smiled and waved at the two men who came by, "Are you coming to see me?"
Zach smiled, "yes, by the way, Crowley." 4οΌ.23wx.β
Mike, of course, knew that wasn't the case, but he didn't really care, "Follow me, Crowley is waiting for you." Then he looked sideways at Zach expectantly.
Zach understood and nodded, "I'll try my best." β
Mike was expecting Zach to take him out of the church. After last week's mission, the Grande House tape was completely scavenged, and Grandri had nothing left for Mike to play. So Zach let Mike move around as he pleased, as long as he came back in the evening. This is the complete opposite of Crowley's strictness, the demon of the now serious priestly figure, who clearly prefers the life of living in the House of Grande.
Of course, Mike's freedom is also conditional, and Zach will let Danny and Dylan follow, firstly, so that Dylan can receive a more racially appropriate education, and secondly, so that Danny, who knows more about modern life, will look at Mike and not let him get into trouble.
After all, Crowley got herself an office in the residential area behind the church, but it was more like a woman's wardrobe than an office. Hangers full of clothes sit next to tall standing mirrors, makeup with various logos stacked on the desk, and head models are painted in a mess that can only be seen in a barbershop. God knows what Crowley is for.
To Zack's helplessness, Crowley changed her hairstyle again.
It was still a pantsuit, an off-white formal suit and brown leather shoes, which looked like a normal formal attire, but there were explosive little rolls on the top of the head, fluffy like a basketball buckled on Crowley's head.
"Don't say anything!" Crowley only glanced at Zack, her slender fingers flicking at the back of her head, and the explosion of the little scroll was smooth. Long blonde hair fell down.
Zach shook his head, and Crowley was at least aware of the normal reaction. He was tempted to tell SΓΉ Crowley that the problem was not in the hair, but in the clothes. This demon can wear a skirt at all, and the current hairstyle does not need to be changed in any way.
"Do you have a place for us to sit?" Zach looked around at the quilts, clothes, makeup, magazines...... Stacked 'offices' with no empty seats.
Crowley waved her hand, and a stack of men's magazines flew up and was tossed aside. Zach grabbed a copy in his hand, sat down, and flipped through a few pages, "Shouldn't you read women's magazines?"
"Hmph. Crowley sat down across from her desk, "The world hasn't made much progress, it's still in the hands of men. Do you think I should study what women like, or what men like. β
Zach couldn't argue that, after all, Crowley lived in Barton City with a purpose. There are no flaws in her logic. How to control the world?
Zach tossed the magazine aside. Let Crowley go to her own will, she will never conquer Barton City.
"I think you should know why I'm here. Zach was direct, "What did 'your people' see last night? I don't mind mentioning your contribution when I tell James." β
Crowley seemed to be in a bad mood, and very uncharacteristically lifted a pair of legs that were long enough to make anyone jealous, rudely kicked off the clutter on the desk, and put it down, "I hope you'd better not mention it." James doesn't have anything to thank me. β
Did Crowley resign herself to her fate? Don't expect to reverse James Lance's bad impression at all?Zach raised an eyebrow. smiled, "It's your people." Your guy hit the policeman named Chapman. β
Crowley's face sank completely, "Be careful with your words." She stared at Benjamin, who curiously picked up a can of moisturizer and sniffed, "That's expensive!
Benjamin pouted, dug up a big lump, and smeared it on a model.
Crowley didn't bother to bother and looked away. "What do you think I am, I have a lot of men? Everywhere? It's just that there happens to be one of my people in that group, and I can assure you that he didn't do anything!"
Zach is in a good mood, and he finds a witness!
"Where is he?"
"Leave Barton. The corners of Crowley's eyes twitched. "Sent out of Barton by his boss in the morning!" he glanced at Zack, "Do you want him back?" β
Zach opened his mouth, the change was too fast, he needed to adapt.
Zach waved his hand, "Just tell me what happened." β
Crowley stared at Zach for a moment, not knowing what she was thinking, "Chapman, is that? that's his name? Okay, Chapman, he's sick!"
Once again, Crowley's narration leaves Zach helpless.
Chapman provoked a group of drunken thugs for no apparent reason, and shot Crowley's men through the knee. This is not the time to praise Chapman's marksmanship, but to pay a silent tribute to the completely innocent Crowley's men. Then, not surprisingly, Chapman, who could find death, was beaten hard, and he was beaten very harshly.
"He's dead. "But he won't die so easily, and I'm interested in him." I want his soul. β
Whether it's curiosity or another purpose. Crowley did something that gave Zach a headache, and she sent a shadow man.
Yes, it's Pie, Danny the Phantom has inadvertently obtained the address of the Grande House where he can be sheltered, and the other soul aliens who wander Barton City are not so lucky. They are dragged to hell by Cerberus and become Crawley's camp.
"Why?" Zach frowned, he couldn't understand that if Crowley wanted Chapman's soul, let Cerberus drag him into hell after a natural death.
Crowley looked at Zach and paused for a long time, her body bobbing back and forth in her chair, "I don't want my soul to go to hell. β
"Why?" Zack's brow furrowed, and he looked at Crowley a little dumbfounded, a completely confused question.
"It's none of your business. Crowley quickly closed the subject.
Zack's brow furrowed again, and two unrelated things came to mind, Dylan being chased as he was pulled out of hell, and Necropolis North Park being released to receive Konstantin's sermon.
"I want him to come to me, to come here in its entirety. Crowley didn't care what Zach was thinking, and continued, "So I had a shadow man go and bring back this mentally troubled cop." But. Crowley's face was already angry, and she lowered her voice, "He's not coming back!"
Zach shook his head, tossed away the sudden distraction in his head, and waved his hand for Crowley to pause, "Let me figure it out." Chapman was supposed to be dead, but because of the filmmaker, he is still alive now. The Shadow Man should have brought him to you, but he didn't, and now it's not just Chapman that James is looking for, but also the Shadow Man who is possessed of him. Are you telling me that this is what happened?"
Crowley glanced at Zach and admitted.
Zach looked at Benjamin, who was holding his arms and shaking his head with a smile on his face, "Any ideas?"
Benjamin laughed out loud and waited a long time before he stopped, putting on a serious look, "James won't like what he finds." β
Zach shook his head helplessly, how would he describe it to James? There are two souls in a body that is decaying under the laws of nature, regardless of how these two souls are assigned the right to use the body. Their form of life was not something that James could accept.
"Then we have to find him before the police, either let him live or let him die as he hoped. Zach tugged at the corners of his mouth, they still need to hurry.
The filmmaker is weak, and according to Crowley's account, Chapman's body has been beaten to tatters, and who knows how long he can delay Chapman's death. The point is not here, the point is that such a person wandering in Barton City is more uncomfortable than Papa's midnight walking corpse! Because he is alive and acts autonomously, the walking corpse is dead, and the puppet is manipulated. There is an essential difference in this.
"Does this shadow man have a name?" Zach asked, frowning.
"Wandel. Crowley had a cold face, and the captives fled, which was not honorable. As the 'boss', she went to find it in person, which was even more disgraceful. Although those hellhounds are dogs, sorry, this kind of life in the gap does not have a real-world sense of smell.
So she had to choose the weakest of the many disgraces and ask Grande for help," he called himself. β
"Wandel. Zach shook his head, the name was the word 'wanderer,' which was not a good sign, "Do you have a clue? You didn't send anyone to keep an eye on Chapman after last night's incident?"
This hit Crowley's sore spot again, and she glared at Zach, "I told you, I don't have as many men as you think! If there were enough people, would I let this Vendall go?"
Zach shook his head, he thought about what happened to Yuri a week ago, and Crowley used the Demon Contract, which meant that there was a shortage of her manpower. Sort of a good thing, Zach pouted, stood up and prepared to leave.
"Let Mike follow you. Crowley said suddenly.
Zach almost forgot about it, nodded, but didn't expect Crowley to add, "Go directly to Constantine after he finishes, and watch him dangling around with nothing to do every day, which makes me irritable!"
Zach raised an eyebrow, and he seemed to hear a hint of wonder in it. What exactly is Mike's relationship with Crowley?
The small, strange thoughts were smoothed out as Zach sorted out his dusty shirt in his messy office. Mike stood outside with a bright smile, already changing into civilian clothes, and ridiculously, with two suitcases dragging behind him, "Crowley informed me, I have prepared two, can I also have a room at the Grande House?"
Zach smiled, "Of course you can, Grande has a room." (To be continued......)
