vs 2 There are some things that cannot be just said
I used to work for a magazine, and I said it was a magazine, but it was actually a sales-oriented company. If you think about it, what company is not a sales-oriented company now? What kind of position is not a sales-type position! I also have four other colleagues in my office, and one of them is my boss, who is about 40 years old and has studied in Southeast Asia. He has some problems with his legs and feet, in order not to be eliminated by the trend of this era, he dresses himself up very fashionably, carries a young man's school bag, wears sunglasses, and calls him only by his English name. He said that he now likes to deal with young people the most, and he feels that he is also very young and sunny.
I jokingly said to him: Age aside, do you know how to determine whether a person is young or old? He looked confused. I said: A person always likes to play with people who are older than himself, which means that he is still young; A person always likes to play with people younger than his own age, which means that he is old. When he said that, we both laughed. I had just graduated from college at the time, and I was very naïve and straightforward in my speech, so the career path was quite bumpy. Now that I think about it, many things are because I am not calm enough to push myself to the forefront. The elders around me saw that I was quite innocent in my heart, and they did not shy away from talking to me, which made me grow a lot.
He is a Christian, and he usually speaks in a deep tone, and often pops out of nowhere to make us scratch our heads. Early in the morning, as soon as I sat down in my seat, he gently placed a book on my workstation. As soon as I looked at the bibliography, I knew it was a book about God and theology. I immediately picked up the book with both hands and returned it to him. I said, "I'm sorry, I don't study theology, I read Chinese studies!" After hearing this, he sneered a few times: Hehe, stinky boy, don't read it yet! Then tell me, what is Chinese culture?
When he asked, he really stopped me. What is Sinology? I have been clamoring for Chinese culture to be my belief, but I have never had a clear concept of Chinese culture. I always feel that there are many truths that exist objectively, but I can't connect them all together, everything is spinning around the edges, I can't go deeper, and I only taste the scattered details, and I can't get the essence of them. I had to answer vaguely: Chinese culture is as vast as the stars, and it cannot be explained in one sentence.
He smiled and said: Stinky boy, there are some things that can't just be said, they have to be written! His words gave me a profound lesson. Oh, yes! I have been writing since my freshman year, and in order to collect materials, I naturally came into contact with the classics of Chinese culture, and I can't put it down. While Sinology has added inspiration to me, it has gradually penetrated into my heart. I think I should really be quiet and dig up this treasure.

Confucius said: When people are young, their flesh and qi are not yet mature, and they are in the critical stage of growing their bodies, so they must not participate in the affairs of men and women, so as not to lose their essence; When people's bodies are mature and their blood is strong, it is the golden time to achieve themselves, don't get into the struggle between people, be alone, and do what you should do most; When people reach the twilight of life, their blood and qi decline, Kanglong has regrets, and they cannot last long, so they must cherish what they have now, learn to be content, and avoid being insatiable. The original sentence of this passage is from the Analects, the teachings of Confucius thousands of years ago, not only are not outdated, but precious.
Why do I love Chinese studies? Because I don't want to be a foolish person, I want to better understand myself, understand life, understand what is most important, how to live this life to the fullest, and how to live my true self without deviating from the right track of life. Maybe these things will always be hidden in my heart, and it will always be a question, but one day, I accidentally came across a little answer, and I was stunned. I slowly realized that by doing such a thing, I could solve my inner doubts little by little. Even if I can't solve the problem in a short period of time, at least I have found a clear direction here in Sinology.
An artist once said: Art is a never-ending path that has to be run for a lifetime. Art is like this, but what about Chinese culture? What about learning? The same is true. Otherwise, Zhuangzi would not have said that "my life has an end, and knowledge has no end", and he once lamented that life is limited and knowledge is infinite. Especially in the big explosion of the modern information age, even children's knowledge is not as simple as learning to be rich and talented. The more complicated it is, the more likely it is to get confused, and in the end, you may end up with nothing. People, whether out of hobbies, out of the pressure of survival, or out of their own dreams, should need to seriously study a knowledge. If you do one thing well, you can actually do everything well.
Sinology is the essence and foundation of Chinese philosophy, which is the crystallization of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization; It is the soil of the land of China, silently nurturing generations of Chinese sons and daughters. In Chinese culture, there are the universe, sentient beings, good and evil, right and wrong, and the highest wisdom of human beings. Sinology tells us how to be successful and what kind of life we can enjoy. Sinology is quiet, calm, but endless. No matter how the times change, it has vigorous vitality; The more the times develop, the more important Chinese culture becomes. However, for myself, I want to make myself better, and Chinese culture has become my spiritual backbone.

What is Sinology? Simply understood, it refers to the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. It is a unique and complete cultural system based on the classics of the previous Qin Dynasty and inherited and carried forward from generation to generation. For example, the Siku Quanshu divides the Chinese culture into four parts according to the subset of classics and histories, and the "classics" mainly include the thirteen classics and related works of Confucianism; "History" includes all history books; "Zi" includes the works of the hundred schools of thought; "Collection" refers to a collection of poems and words, and a special collection. The Siku Quanshu is said to have 800 million characters, and when compiling the book, the Qing Dynasty destroyed nearly that number of words. Judging by such figures, even if you study a few lifetimes, you can't exhaust it.
Let's start with two words. The first one is called "Zhuzi Baijia", which is a general term for various academic schools in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and the most widely spread are Confucianism, Taoism, Yin and Yang, Legalism, Celebrity, Moism, Zonghengjia, Miscellaneous, Farmer, Soldier, Doctor and Novelist. The second word is called "Three Religions and Nine Streams", the Three Religions refer to Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, and the Nine Streams refer to Confucianism, Taoism, Yin and Yang, Legalism, Famous Scholars, Mohists, Vertical and Horizontal Families, Miscellaneous Families and Peasant Families. The doctrines and classics left behind by the Hundred Schools of Thought and the Three Religions and Nine Streams have become the foundation of Chinese culture. In the later period, with the change of dynasties, the doctrines of each family were inherited and developed to a certain extent, and even cultural integration appeared.
