Chapter 358: Poland, Partition, Independence, Partition Again

April 1, 1940. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 info Yichun.

Taking advantage of everyone's arrival in Yichun, Xiaolu convened a meeting to study the layout of the next step. Because everyone has been thinking about this matter these days, therefore, the way of thinking is basically the same, and everyone is in high spirits because they have talked to Zhou Ren.

The meeting demanded that factories in Yichun and other places immediately prepare weapons. In addition to a large number of conventional weapons, there are also 200 sniper rifles, more than 100 bazookas, and more than 100 unconscionable guns, each with a certain amount of ammunition. After all preparations are made, it will be transported to Chaoyang in southwest Liaoning as soon as possible. The armament troops should send all the medicines stored in Yichun to Chaoyang. Efforts were made to deliver supplies to fraternal units in early July.

There are two kinds of sniper rifles in Yichun, one is bought from the Soviet Union at a large price, and both are rationed to the special combat team. The second is made by itself, and the manufacturing method is very simple, that is, using Soviet rifles, choosing the best one, modifying it, putting on the sight, plus manufacturing special bullets.

The sights were made themselves, which were made by the Optical Instrument Factory, which produced spectacle lenses, optical glass sheets, and one of the workshops produced military supplies, telescopes and sniper rifle sights.

There are several factories that produce ordinary glass, all of which are joint ventures with the private sector, producing flat glass and glass bottles.

These weapons and medicines were given to the brother troops in Kannai. It is required that the repaired Japanese-style weapons and ammunition be transported to southern Liaoning and handed over to various units in southern Liaoning to expand their troops. The troops in various localities were asked to prepare a batch of food and send it together with the supplies.

The basic direction that everyone considered was basically the same as the idea of Xiaolu, and each unit was expanding its troops in a low-key manner and expanding its base areas. The entire army has opened up base areas in the northeast and southwest, developed the Daxinganling base area, and consolidated other base areas.

The development of base areas requires population, so the development of transportation corridors to the south is combined with the development of base areas in the northeast and southwest.

In addition, with regard to population, anti-Japanese immigration was seen as an important measure to strengthen the base areas. It is necessary to systematically arrest Japanese immigrants and send them to our base areas to work for us. It is important to recognize that they are a semi-military group, not purely ordinary people.

The meeting was over in one day. Today, Koji proposes to learn from a few examples.

Zhao Shangzhi came to the spirit and said, "What kind of battle? A recent case of the Japanese freezing to death in the winter in Hailar? ā€

Xiaolu said: "No, today we will learn two big examples, first, the destruction of Poland. Second, the Soviet-Finnish war. ā€

Zhou Baozhong said: "The war that just happened in Europe. I've heard about some of them, do you have details? ā€

Xiaolu said: "There is only one copy of each war material." Of these two campaigns, one has just been completed, and the other has not long been completed. All wars in which the USSR participated. In addition to the parts you are interested in, I hope that you will also analyze international strategy, the relationship between war and national strength, the organization of war, and the influence of China. To emphasize, these two pieces of information are confidential, and you can only see them at the meeting, you can't take them down, you can't take them out, and you can't talk about the content of the meeting with people who didn't attend the meeting. ā€

Everyone saw his serious attitude, and they became serious.

The first example was the War for the Partition of Poland. The second battle was the Soviet-Finnish War.

The War for the Partition of Poland took place on September 1, 1939. There's nothing special about this day, but it's interesting to connect a few other days.

Eight days earlier, on August 23, 1939, the Soviets and Germany had signed a non-aggression pact and a secret pact.

Further forward, on August 20, 1939, the Soviet army launched a general offensive on the Nomenkan front, and on the 23rd it once achieved an overwhelming advantage.

Further on, on August 11, 1939, the talks between France, Britain and the Soviet Union in Moscow were terminated on August 21.

During the negotiations, the Soviet Union made a number of proposals to Britain and France: 1. To conclude a treaty of mutual assistance against aggression between Britain, France, and the Soviet Union with a period of 5 to 10 years, including military assistance. 2. The three countries guarantee the security of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. 3. Conclude specific agreements on mutual assistance among the three countries.

However, Britain and France agreed to Nazi Germany's freedom of movement in Eastern and South-Central Europe, and rejected Soviet proposals to guarantee national security in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

For the USSR, when the east was settled, the west could be considered.

Let's talk about Germany.

Hitler claimed to destroy the Soviet Union, but he was ready to expand aggressively to the West. Britain and France pursued a policy of appeasement. Trying to make trouble go down the drain. The signing of the Munich Agreement on 29 September 1938 marked the culmination of the policy of appeasement between Britain and France.

What does it mean for the tide to fall? I, Britain and France, don't mess with you Germany, you concentrate on fighting the Soviet Union.

(Speaking of which, Zhao Shangzhi said: "Old imperialism, thieves are not things.") ā€ļ¼‰

It's still a matter of fighting on both sides. Everyone must pay attention to this, Japan, the Soviet Union, Germany, fought on two sides.

Germany took care of the west, and the Soviet Union got the east.

It's your turn to be the hapless man of Poland.

Say that Poland is unlucky? The same cannot be said either.

Think about how Poland expanded and bullied others.

Then let's talk about Poland.

Europe, that is a Warring States, that is to say, very similar to our Warring States era. Everyone expands, is expanded, is divided, is divided. Vertical and horizontal, all kinds of dramas are constantly being staged. Whoever is ruthless will be able to expand bigger. Will there be a Qin state to unify Europe? I think it's unlikely. Of course, we will not discuss this topic, but only look at the current situation in Europe.

Russia, or the Soviet Union, and Germany are two ruthless examples, ruthless characters.

Germany is quite ruthless. Under Hitler, Germany destroyed the Versailles Treaty system, overthrew the Spanish Republic, annexed Austria, dismembered and occupied Czechoslovakia, and controlled all of Eastern Europe except Poland.

What about the USSR? In 1921 Turkmenistan joined the Soviet Union. In 1924, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan joined the Soviet Union. In 1925, Kazakhstan essentially joined the Soviet Union. By 1936, Central Asia was firmly under control.

Poland, once ruthless, claims to be the second most powerful country in Europe with its army. But unfortunately, it has a ruthless master on the left and a ruthless master on the right. A hyena sandwiched between two elephants, struggling is useless.

Poland, although also Slavic, was not polite to the Slavic brothers at the time of expansion, 14-15

Century was strong, and at that time, Russia was weak.

So when Russia became strong, it united with Germany to carve up Poland, and then Poland became independent; Divide again, become independent again.

By now, both Germany and the Soviet Union have developed to a super ruthless state, can Poland not be finished?

One is more ruthless than the other, plus ethnicity, religion, and culture, if it is so mixed, it will be lively.

Want to Bian Poland (Zhou Baozhong: "What does Bian mean?") Zhao Ziqiang: "It's to beat it flat." Commander Lu doesn't have a joke that a slap slaps you on the wall and turns it into a photo. The time is there, what about the excuses? It can't be that a soldier gets lost, or an excuse for the railroad being bombed, right? This is a Japanese trick. Stupid little tricks.

Hitler's pretext, the Danzig territorial dispute. That's a big deal.

Stalin's pretext, the liberation of Western Ukrainians and Western Belarusians. This excuse is somewhat high-sounding.

On August 23, 1939, the Soviet Union and Germany signed a non-aggression pact and a secret agreement.

The two countries agreed that in the event of territorial and political changes in Poland, the line of the Narev, Vistula and San rivers would become the borders of Soviet-German interests. The line, named after the German-Soviet Foreign Minister, was called the Ribbentronan-Molotov line. If you look at the map, it's this line.

Lithuania, western Poland was to be assigned to Germany, while the rest of Poland, along with Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Bessarabia, was to be assigned to the Soviet Union.

These small countries were divided between two socialist countries.

(Xiaolu: "Speaking of which, you can see why this is classified.) Note that Germany is nominally a socialist country. ā€ļ¼‰

On August 31, 1939, Germany invaded Poland from the west.

Originally, Hitler ordered the army to invade Poland at 5:45 a.m. on the 25th, but it was postponed for a few days due to Mussolini's request. On August 31, Hitler again ordered an advance into Poland, and on September 1, German tank, airplane, and motor corps began to attack Poland in a mighty manner.

The Polish air force suffered heavy losses, and the Polish cavalry could not defeat the German tank and armored forces, and soon they were gone.

On September 17, the Soviet Union invaded Poland from the east. On the 28th, the Soviet-German border friendship treaty was signed. Note that two countries whose borders are not next to each other sign a border agreement, nothing happens to Poland, Poland is gone, disappears from the political map of Europe.

On September 18, the Soviets and the Germans met in Brest on the Bug River, and neither side advanced. This became the main evidence of the secret clause of the Soviet-German Non-Aggression Pact, and Poland, 20 years after its restoration, disappeared again, with the Germans occupying its western part and the Soviets occupying its eastern part.

As soon as the spoils sharing agreement between the Soviet Union and Germany was signed, Hitler did what he said, and he could not wait to give the order to attack Poland, ordering the army to invade Poland at 5:45 in the morning of the 25th. This date is only two days before the treaty is signed. But due to Mussolini's request, it was postponed for a few days.

The Soviets advanced 250 to 350 kilometers from the Soviet-Polish border, occupying about 37,000 square kilometers of Polish territory east of the Curzon Line, and Hitler 17,000 square kilometers.

Curzon Line? The Curzon Line was a boundary line proposed by British Foreign Secretary Curzon during the war between Poland and the Soviet Union twenty years ago, which allocated part of the territory to the Soviet Union. At first, both sides agreed, and later the Polish counteroffensive overthrew the line. This is a masterpiece of British appeasement.

It's not surprising that considering the Warring States in our history, there were often cases where several cities were assigned to another country, and the same is true in modern Europe.

Stalin not only gained the territory of Poland, but also captured a large number of Poles. Due to the fact that Poland was under attack, the Soviets took about 30 about 10,000 Polish prisoners. Among them were soldiers, scientists, professors, officials, nobles. The Soviets interned them in several prisoner-of-war camps. The Soviets believed that when these people were finished, the counter-revolutionary forces of the Soviet Union would be completely destroyed.

Moreover, Stalin and Hitler each wanted to get what they wanted from the other. The USSR wanted to acquire technology, especially military technology, from Germany. Germany wants space, raw materials.

In December 1939, Germany promised to supply the Soviet Union with military supplies worth 660 million marks in exchange for Soviet raw materials.

Under the agreement, Stalin provided Hitler's navy with a rear base, the German navy had a strategically important port in Murmansk, and the Soviet Union helped Germany establish a secret base in the Barents Sea.

On October 5, 1939, the Treaty of Mutual Assistance between the Soviet Union and Latvia was signed. On the 6th, Hitler presented a peace plan. On the 8th, West Poland and the cities of Danzig were annexed to Germany. On the 10th, the Soviet-Lithuanian Mutual Assistance Treaty was signed.

(Zhu Chi: "That is, these small countries have eaten it like this.") How do you say Germany in such a tone? Xiaolu: "Germany is a bane. I saw it in less than two years. Zhu Chi: "What is the attitude of the United States?" Xiaolu: "On October 3, 1939, the United States declared neutrality. Zhu Chi: "I don't understand. Xiaolu: "It's easy to understand if you imagine the United States as a businessman, an arms dealer." There are many people in Chongqing who are very much admirer of the United States. Worship is prone to the illusion that the United States is the embodiment of justice. ā€ļ¼‰

Speaking of the attitude of the Americans, we look at the performance of the British government and the French government.

Before the Nazis invaded Poland, they were very tough, claiming that an invasion would mean war, but when Hitler moved on the real thing, they did not behave very well, and they were far from what they had been told beforehand.

On 3 September, Britain declared war on Germany, but at this time Britain did not have a single soldier on the European continent and had no military contact with the Germans on the ground.

Also on September 3, France declared war on Germany, which had a powerful army, and when the main force of the Nazi army pounced on Poland in the east, the powerful French army did not take this opportunity to attack Germany's weakened western wall, as previously said, but sat quietly behind the reinforced concrete fortifications, watching an opportunity to inflict heavy damage on Germany disappear.

(Lan Yundong: "From a tactical point of view, there is really nothing to say about this battle, adults bully children.") ā€ļ¼‰

Not bad, tactically lackluster, advanced armored forces, three-dimensional operations, fighting Poland, infinitely powerful. Power. What is national strength? In modern warfare, what we fight for is national strength.

As an aside, I calculated that for the sake of the winter in Hailar, we calculated that thousands of people had worked so hard for a summer, and that a small number of people had died, and Japan had lost hundreds of millions of yen in its national strength. Why? The Japanese had planes, they had coal, they had explosives. There are planes to transport people and food, coal for heating, and explosives to fry fish. You say, how can this modern ecology be so good? Why didn't the Mongols give him all the fish beforehand?

(Li Sen: "What is ecology?") "In short, it's the quality of the environment, the state of the creatures." If the fish are gone, the ecology is destroyed. ā€ļ¼‰

(Lin Meng: "There are quite a few Japanese who have died in Hailar.") Want to starve them all to death? No way. ā€ļ¼‰

In Asia, the Japanese delusionally want to turn us into Poland, ants gnaw elephants, it's a dream. We should learn a lot from this example. One of the simplest lessons is that if you fall behind, you will be beaten. We need to educate ourselves, educate the people, and let everyone understand this.

Well, the next example.
