Chapter 47 Industrial Production Models (II)

It took a whole month for Liu Che to complete all his plans and build the first real industrial plant in the Han Empire. With the advantage of traversing, Liu Che systematized the entire sulfuric acid production process, and the craftsman only needed to control the reactor at the front end and the collection tank at the end.

In order to avoid explosion or too much danger due to gas leakage, Liu Che designed the reactor as a small "by" kettle, and the top of the kettle is a feed port that can be closed. Workers pour the bile alum powder from the feed port, tighten the screw-shaped lid of the kettle, and then heat it at the bottom of the kettle. Although the lid of the kettle is not completely sealed, the sulfur trioxide gas is heavier than the water vapor and is discharged through the outlet valve near the bottom of the kettle, so there is no need to worry too much about leaking a large amount of leakage from the inlet.

Liu Che also limited the volume of a single reactor to the size of a water tank, even if it leaked, no one could die, but occupational injuries were definitely unavoidable, Liu Che thought helplessly. It's too early to think about these now, Liu Che is not a saint, how many people died in the industrial revolution in Europe at the beginning, no matter how good Liu Che is, it can't violate the basic laws of social development. The salaries and benefits of craftsmen can only be increased as subsidies for high-risk occupations, and they are also instructed to change their guards frequently and not stay in the factory for long periods of time.

Ten shiny reactors were lined up, making Liu Che feel a bit like an underground third-rate chemical plant in the future.

After the sulfur trioxide gas comes out of the outlet valve of the reactor, it will enter the condensing ceramic tube. Different from metal condensing pipes in the general sense, the condenser pipes designed by Liu Che are "L" shaped ceramic tubes, and copper heat sinks are stuffed into each section of the tube, which is not only conducive to heat conduction, but also can effectively slow down the gas flow rate. The two condenser pipes are butted by internal and external threads to form a continuous zigzag curved condensate pipe.

After being connected, the ceramic refrigeration and condensation pipe, which is several feet long, needs to pass through a tiled cooling pool before being connected to the collection valve opposite the cooling pool. The cooling pool is connected to a wide outdoor canal to ensure that the water temperature can be adjusted in a timely manner. There is even saltpeter prepared by the pool, which, if necessary, can be forced to cool down.

At the other end of the collection valve, there are air intakes on dozens of half-human-high sealed clay pots, the upper end of which is equipped with a water inlet valve, and the lower end is a water outlet valve. Apparently it is a collection tank used to dissolve the cooled and decelerated sulphur trioxide gas stream to produce sulphuric acid.

Ten reactors and dozens of collection tanks, all with their own valves, can be read to operate, which ensures that the entire system can continue to operate with other equipment, whether it is refueling a single reactor or taking sulfuric acid from a single collection tank. Improving production efficiency as much as possible is a clear sign of the industrial production model.

Of course, as a responsible master of chemical engineering, Liu Che must also solve the problem of waste. The wanton dumping of chemical waste is obviously not among the options of the future emperor, and turning waste into treasure is the best option.

After the gallium in the reactor is decomposed, the craftsman will fill the kettle with water from the feed port, and at the same time open the waste valve at the bottom of the kettle, and a large amount of wastewater with powder will flow into the waste channel through the drain pipe. Several layers of bamboo sieves are arranged in the waste liquid canal to filter out the copper oxide in the waste liquid.

Copper oxide is a good thing, and can be used as a colorant for colored glass and ceramic glaze. Every year, the pottery kiln in Shaofu consumes a lot of copper oxide, and now they have saved a lot of expenses, Liu Che feels that he is really a big Han version of Lei Feng.

The remaining waste liquid will flow into several precipitated pools with their respective reading powers, and several large iron plates will extend from the edge of the pool to the depths of the pool. This is designed by Liu Che with reference to the "fast heating" of later generations, and the purpose of heating the waste liquid in the pool is achieved by baking iron sheets.

Since most of the components of the waste liquid are copper sulfate solution, the copper sulfate solution can be heated by evaporation crystallization method in the closed precipitation pool after filling, and the heating will be stopped until there are more blue crystals, and then the copper sulfate crystals can be obtained and recycled.

When Liu Che used a special glass to collect the oily solution from the collection jar, he clenched his fists tightly and was excited. It's done! Such a small factory, as a demonstration version of the industrial production model, provided Liu Che with ideas for industrial development. It is not enough to simply throw out all kinds of cross-era technology, we must convey scientific thinking and advanced production concepts.

The transmission of scientific thinking is being carried out in an orderly manner in Tian Sheng's private school and in the inner courtyard of the orphanage. The advanced production concept needs to follow the spread of new technologies and slowly popularize them, and Liu Che feels that he still has a long way to go.

In any case, Liu Che, who has sulfuric acid, finally opened the door of Dahan Chemical. Calming down his excitement, he instructed Prince Zhan Shi to arrange a special person to be responsible for the preparation and preservation of sulfuric acid, which must be strictly in accordance with his pre-set regulations and meticulously implemented. Subsequently, a few guards were arranged to guard the place, and no idle people were allowed to enter. After all, sulfuric acid is not an ordinary thing, especially concentrated sulfuric acid, which is not easy for people to touch.
