There are people for both. Giving up money and goods in return for gratitude. then it is not charity. Asking for reciprocal charity, I help someone, I have difficulties, someone also wants to help me, this is a favor in return, courtesy is still exchanged, not alleged.
There are three people. Giving up possessions without sorrow. Nor is it charity. Giving money and goods is not out of true compassion and compassion, but only for the sake of arrogance, not charity.
There are people in the four. Giving up possessions for the sake of desire. Nor is it charity. Because you have something to ask for, such as wanting to seek a good marriage for a future and contributing incense, it is not considered charity.
There are five people. Neither giving nor fire is charity. There are six people. Neither giving nor water is charity. Throwing property in the fire and water, for example, we give alms to the temple, repair the statue of the Buddha, build a place that can shelter from the wind and rain, so that the monks can eat and clothe warm, this is normal almsgiving, but the monastery is repaired like a dragon palace, the monks do not do things, eat well and dress gorgeously, that is not called almsgiving, this is giving to water or fire, not only does it not help, it will be very harmful, what is the harm, I will talk about it later......"
Later, there are also those who are afraid that bad people will harm you, spend money to eliminate disasters, give away harmful things, weapons, give meat, adopt orphans to support you in the future, give alms for fame, remember children for songs, transfer property for bankruptcy, take other people's property for troublesome houses, and take other people's property as favors, and grain and wheat are eaten by rats and birds in the fields and warehouses, and they are not intended to give it to eat, which is not considered charity. If you give away food items that have gone bad, not only is it not a good deed, but you are creating negative karma. Asking someone to work and pay for money is what someone else deserves. When I was sick, I gave more money to the doctor, thinking that the doctor would be conscientious. After beating and scolding others, he feels embarrassed, compensates for his property, suspects that others deceive him or wants to return later, the more he thinks about it after giving alms, the more he regrets it, he gives money to others thinking that others must use it for his own use, the giver never forgets his generosity, he does not leave his property to his children to give out when he is old (because the property can no longer be grasped), he gives away things for the sake of honor, he gives money out of jealousy, he swaggers for greedy women, for children, for good fortune, he wants to give charcoal to the poor and the poor instead of icing on the cake. Giving only useless flowers and fruits (not flowers and fruits, but useless things, food for the hungry and clothes for the cold) are not considered charity.
"Guys, do you know now that you can't give? One is to have a pure heart, and the other is to help the poor, so everywhere I go, I visit local philanthropists. For example, Liu Dahan, the strong man just now, he was sincere and filial, and he did not ask for anything in return, so he got the retribution of the present world. ”

The worst thing is not only this, but also impure charity, such as the six ancestors Hui Nengyan, there is no merit, do not doubt the words of the ancestors, Emperor Wu has an evil heart, and does not know the correct law. Emperor Wu, Xiao Yanye. In his early years, he did not believe in Buddha and became the founding emperor of Southern Liang, a generation of kings, believed in Buddhism and did evil, and starved to death in Taichen. What did he do? Datong became a monk in three years and let the ministers donate 100 million yuan to redeem it, Datong became a monk for the third time in the twelfth year and let the ministers redeem it with 200 million money, and the first year of the Taiqing Dynasty became a monk four times and let the court contribute 100 million yuan to redeem it. Throughout his life, he has eaten vegetarian and thrifty to love the people, and there is no great evil, why is this so? Such a person has ended up like this, fathers and fellow villagers, what do you compare with him? Indiscriminate generosity will make you end up with something, even if you are lucky enough to escape in this life, what will become in the next life! ”
