The academic aptitude test consists of five papers: Mathematics, Chinese, Nature, Geography and History. Skills tests are conducted according to the division of labor.

In the skills test, the family is assessed. The craftsmen are assessed on the processing of iron and wood according to the drawings of the primary level. Female workers are assessed on the cleanliness of laundry and the speed and quality of knitting sweaters and spinning fabrics.
