Chapter 193 Revolutionary Husband and Wife Section 4 Marriage is a good thing

Marriage can be said to be the top priority in life, in the past, it was said that starting a family and starting a business, and only after starting a family can you start a business, so that no matter how you break through, you can have a way out, right?

These veterans who have been fighting for many years, once they are disabled or have reached the age when they should be discharged, their desire to start a family is particularly strong.

Far from it, just a partition handles this kind of thing more humanely.

The marital status of the cadres of the First Division during the Anti-Japanese War that I have described in public terms has been publicly mentioned by name, such as Yang Chengwu, Huang Shoufa, Luo Yuanfa, and Chen Zhengxiang, all of which have only been mentioned in general terms and have not been mentioned in detail. In October 1939, Chen Zhengxiang, then the head of a regiment in a sub-district, got married at the Ministry of Health of a sub-district, where Chen Zhengxiang's wife Kang Jie worked. The only excitement at the wedding was that he borrowed a "foreign drama box" from the home of Kangjie's boss, Lu Xingwen, that is, an old-fashioned hand-cranked gramophone. Along with the gramophone, I also borrowed more than a dozen old bakelite records of Peking Opera and fashionable songs. Therefore, from the end of October to the beginning of November 1939, when the Yansu Cliff and Loess Ridge were battles, Chen Zhengxiang was still the groom's official.

The weddings of the rest of the leading cadres were not held in the first district, so I don't have any relevant records on hand. In General Chen Bojun's diary of the Anti-Japanese War, Luo Yuanfa, director of the Political Department of the First Division of Zhilu Dao, was married in September 1939, and the wedding was held at the second branch of Kang University, where Chen Bojun was the president. Subsequently, Luo Yuanfa participated in the second anniversary of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region's Anti-Japanese War held in Tang County in October, and more importantly, he learned that Luo Yuanfa was not in the first division during the Yansu Cliff and Loess Ridge battles. Therefore, the "photo of Yang Chengwu, Gao Peng, and Luo Yuanfa on the front line of Loess Ridge" is impossible.

Marriages of other cadres in the first division. I've also spoken openly with a few people. For example, Huang Lianqiu, head of the organization section of the first division, and Gong Chengxiang, director of the organization section. married Hu Xuechen and Hu Minying, sisters from Yi County. There is also Zhu Li, who succeeded Long Daoquan as the political commissar of the teaching team of the first division, and Wang Li, a female cadre of the drama club of the same division, got married. The reason why Wang Li was "famous" back then was because he miraculously escaped under the bayonet pursuit of devils during the autumn sweep in 1941.

Needless to say, Lin Liuqi's marital status of other cadres in the first sub-district is a "special case", and there is no second person besides him. The other cadres are all well-behaved and start from the beginning. I haven't heard of any scandals. Of course, even if there were, I wouldn't say. Li Zhenjun was arrested in the "May Day Sweep" in central Hebei, and the situation is special.

Before he was arrested, he originally had a girlfriend who was a sophomore at Kang University. When the news of his arrest came, they thought he would not survive. Before that, no one could escape from the devil's prison alive, so the girlfriend became the wife of Li Zhenjun's old boss. After Li Zhenjun came back, the people who came back from the "Ghost Gate" saw everything very openly and lightly. After that, I became very good friends with my old boss and his wife for almost my life.

There is another person whose story is more special because his experience is more peculiar. After he joined the Eighth Route Army. I have been working in the drama club in Jizhong. Suddenly, a young lady from the drama club frequently expressed friendship to him and took the initiative to help him wash and sew quilts, and the two of them continued to "escalate their relationship".

Suddenly, one day, the woman disappeared, leaving behind a letter stating that she had approached him on orders of the "Order" in order to make him let his guard down and see if he was a "hidden agent or enemy". The woman couldn't bear to continue to seduce, so she took the initiative to quit. After liberation, they, the man and woman, who failed to become husband and wife, maintained a good relationship.

As I said earlier, the two years from 1938 to 1939 were the first peak period for the marriage of leading cadres of the Eighth Route Army. As the saying goes: "A full man doesn't know that a hungry man is hungry", but some people know that Yang Chengwu saw the desire of the veteran from the eyes of the veterans around him. The following year, 1940, the base area of the First Division was relatively quiet.

Yang Chengwu personally presided over the wedding of two veterans around him in Xiloushan Village. One was his groom, who traveled with him from Fujian through the Long March to the foot of Langya Mountain; The other was a migrant worker who participated in the First World War and joined the Eighth Route Army after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War. The two veterans were the oldest veterans of the 1st Division, both in their forties at the time. Yang Chengwu entrusted the Yi County Government to find two widows for them.

In February 1944, the 1st Division and 1st Regiment were ordered to be transferred to Yan'an to form a teaching brigade. Before departure, some of the veterans of the Southern Red Army in the regiment were too old to participate in the expedition to northern Shaanxi. At the same time, some veterans of northern Shaanxi and Shaanxi in various units of the 1st Sub-district had been away from home for six or seven years, and they were eager to take this opportunity to return to their hometowns in northern Shaanxi.

Yang Chengwu flexibly used it to transfer some Red Army veterans who were reluctant to travel far from the regiment and incorporated other veterans from northern Shaanxi. Later, Yang Chengwu went to Jizhong and entrusted these Red Army veterans to Guo Tianmin, commander of the Jicha Military Region. At the beginning of 1946, when the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region was disarmed, Guo Tianmin demobilized and resettled these Red Army veterans in Yi County, Laiyuan County, Laishui County, Lingqiu County, and Guangling County under the jurisdiction of the Jicha Military Region, and married them families. Later, I found information about these Red Army soldiers of that year, and there were many people in Jiangxi, including those from Ganxian, Ningdu, and Huichang, as well as Red Army soldiers from Gansu and Anhui.

In particular, Song Xueyi, one of the five heroes of Langya Mountain, should be mentioned. Song Xueyi, a native of Henan, was injured in the waist when he jumped off a cliff, and was demobilized during the major disarmament in 1946, but could not return home. Yang Chengwu took special care of Song Xueyi in Guantou Village, Yi County, and found a young widow family for him to start a family.

In October 1944, the Jicha Military Region was established, and the 20th Regiment of the original 1st Division was ordered to be transferred to the 13th Division of Chanan. Chanan is a newly opened anti-Japanese base area, and according to Zhangjiakou and Xuanhua, where the devil's soldiers are stationed, it is very close, so it is necessary to run away from time to time. At that time, Shi Jinqian, political commissar of the 20 th Regiment, entrusted some of the wounded and sick of the regiment to the Jicha Military Region Teaching Team, which had been changed from the original 1st Sub-district Teaching Team. The teaching captain, Chenguang, readily agreed.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Jicha Military Region and its entire subordinate units went to Zhangjiakou and Xuanhua, and the base area in the original mountains was handed over to the veterans left behind by these wounded and sick to take care of it. So they missed the demobilization of the Jin-Cha-Ji army in early 1946. Later, the military academy reorganized by the teaching team went out of the mountain, and these veterans were also brought to the North China Infantry School, and most of them served as canteens and administrators.

At the end of November 1948, the North China Infantry School was transferred to Baoding to form the Pingjin Picket Corps. Before leaving, at the party committee of the school, it was proposed that these older veterans be turned into workers, stay in the local area, and Zheng Xuyu, deputy director of the Political Department, do the aftermath work. When Zheng Xuyu handed over this group of workers to the local government, he added another sentence: "I hope that the local government and the Women's Federation will help solve the marriage problem of these anti-Japanese war veterans." ”

I also saw a piece of material that after the troops entered Beiping, they had to undertake an unprecedentedly important task, so they had to conduct a comprehensive review again. This time, the examination of cadres was very thorough, and all cadres were required to disclose their history to the organization in a true and unreserved manner, without concealing it in the slightest. It is said that a female cadre cried and called to ask how old she was in order to marry a male cadre. As a result, the very humane leader immediately decided: If there is a personal privacy in the review and does not want to be known by others, he can report to the leader alone.

One of the last historical records, I remember talking about before. At the end of 1949, the Beijing Picket Corps had just changed its name from the Beiping Picket Corps and was stationed in the Zhantansi Barracks. In May and June of that year, the North China Military Region, following the Northeast Field Army, recruited more than 1,000 young students from the two major cities of Pingjin to join the troops. Many of these male and female students are mutual lovers and are old enough to talk about marriage. At that time, some cadres of the army restricted them in accordance with the requirements of the old regulations of the "285th Regiment," and these young students who had just joined the army were all platoon-level cadres, so there was a great deal of resistance.

At that time, Zheng Xuyu and Zhang Yixi, the top leaders in charge of political work of the Beijing Picket Corps, discussed the situation and immediately reported to the leaders of the North China Military Region. Mr. Nie of the North China Military Region also made a very humane decision on the spot: These newly recruited young students can marry freely without restricting them according to the old policy of the "285th Regiment." After Zheng Xuyu and Zhang Yixi came back, they immediately opened the conference to convey it. I saw that there was a burst of cheers shouting "Long live the Communist Party" at the meeting venue.

Therefore, the organization of arranged and intervening in individual marriages was a major characteristic of our party during the war, and it had a humane side in caring for and caring for individuals, and it also had a positive side to the society at that time, and it could not be completely denied.

Humanization is the natural and basic attribute of a person. The humanization of a person certainly precedes the socialization or politicization of the person. Whether a political party can win the hearts and minds of the people depends on whether it is still humane. Respecting the humanity of each person means respecting the person's personality and humanism. (To be continued......)
