Another example is this airborne height, according to Li Li's minimum airborne altitude is 300 meters, this number can startle us, you must know that we dare not reduce when we jump to a height of 600 meters when using the first generation of parachutes, but this new type of parachute can land safely at an altitude of 300 meters...... We don't believe that.

However, it is not very difficult to find out whether this number jù is accurate or not, just try to jump.

Of course, we don't joke with our own lives, and we also take a step-by-step approach to reducing the altitude when trying to jump this new type of wing.

This is not to say that Chen Shengde and others' parachuting skills are better than ours, in fact, the training of our synthetic battalion during this period of time is already better than blue; This is not that we are using Chen Shengde and others as guinea pigs for experiments, at this time we and the Airborne Forces are already somewhat indistinguishable from each other.

The reason why this task was handed over to Chen Shengde and others to complete was entirely because of the strong demand of Chen Shengde and others. This demand is so strong that he does not hesitate to compete with the troops of the synthetic battalion. I can perfectly understand this sentiment of the paratroopers...... Many of them have been jumping parachutes for years or even decades. After jumping for so many years, the umbrella has naturally been fed up with the shortcomings of the first generation of umbrellas, and at this time, I suddenly knew that there was a new type of umbrella coming out, which of course was itchy and couldn't help but want to give it a try.

It's like driving a problematic tractor and suddenly meeting a noble person to get a high-end car with superior performance, so can you not be in a hurry to try it?!

I just think that this is actually a small matter, and it can even be said that our purpose is to know the real performance of this new parachute, and it does not matter to us whether the test unit is a composite battalion or an airborne force. Chen Shengde: Is it necessary for them to be like this, and it is a petition and a bloody dispute?

But after thinking about it, he didn't say anything in his mouth, and immediately gave this task to the Airborne Forces.

Unexpectedly, this made Chen Shengde and the others excited for a while, and most of the soldiers couldn't sleep that night, so they took the new umbrella to check it over and over again or folded it again and again, and they couldn't wait to jump it at night.

This makes us feel angry and funny, it is really a unit that has never been on the battlefield, has never seen the big world, and is nervous and excited in the face of such a small task.

We are soldiers, and the purpose of our training is to play a role on the battlefield, and it is not worth it if we are injured or sacrificed while testing the parachute, so when Chen Shengde and others reported that its impact force reached the upper limit at an altitude of 400 meters, I did not let them lower the altitude and try to jump.

But even so, this new type of wing also gave us a big surprise, 400 meters compared with the original 600 meters, that is a full 200 meters lower, not to mention that you can also bring more equipment, the air time and dispersion area is not only reduced because of the reduction in height, but also because the performance of the wing itself is reduced, so this is a qualitative flight.

To put it simply, this new type of parachute fully meets our current needs, it reduces the various dangers of our army when parachuting in a large way, and at the same time allows us to assemble better and faster, and form combat effectiveness in a shorter time.

What surprised me even more was that along with this new batch of paratrooper parachutes, there were also special cargo parachutes and paragliders.

Of course, this parachute is only for airborne small equipment...... When it comes to heavy cargo parachutes such as airdrop light armored vehicles or artillery, the difficulty is not the parachute, but how to find the center of gravity of the heavy equipment, where the parachute should be strapped to, how to slide out of the plane, how to cushion when landing, and so on. These are difficult, high-tech tasks, so even if you give us this kind of cargo umbrella, it is useless.

But with this kind of special parachute, it is also much better than before, which means that we can safely and conveniently drop boxes of ammunition and supplies with the paratroopers to their destinations.

In other words, this basically solves the problem of the difficulty in transporting shells and bullets for heavy forces and heavy machine guns in the airborne forces.

Not to mention this paraglider.

According to the information given to me by Li Li, I know that the glide ratio of this kind of umbrella is 3:1, that is, for every height of one meter dropped, you can glide 3 meters on a horizontal distance.

This may seem like a trivial feature, but it can be very useful in real combat.

Imagine, according to this ratio, you can glide 15 kilometers if you jump down at an altitude of 5,000 meters. It is not difficult to imagine what this means, that is, even if we want to attack targets in Vietnam, this plane does not have to fly across the border...... The paraglider can glide, as long as the transport plane takes the paratrooper to a high enough place, and the paratrooper jumps down, he can glide across the border to the target position.

And there are many advantages to this, such as the enemy can't hear the sound of the plane, or even if he hears the sound, it is far away, and it will not alert them at all, so the paraglider can silently carry the troops and suddenly "fall from the sky".

Of course, paragliding is also beneficial when skydiving at low altitudes, because it has a high glide to descending ratio, so as long as it is operated properly, it can take the paratroopers to the destination accurately.

Needless to say, this is especially important for our special agent company, for example, if the special agent company wants to raid the enemy's ammunition depot or bridge, on the terrain of Vietnam's mountains, if you can't land accurately to the destination and land on another hill, the battle is doomed to fail before it even starts.

Of course, for these new types of paragliders, the fighters need to go through a process of adaptation, and even for those who have not been exposed to paragliding before, they need to start from a blank slate.
