Chapter 22: Tyco Dodonus's Predictions

After purchasing a broomstick, the three of them walked towards the Blotted bookstore again.

Most of the textbooks had been bought, and during this time, William used new books for the two of them.

But they also need to add some books, like Lockhart's seven-piece set.

There are a lot of people in the bookstore, but they are all crowded outside the store.

Today is Lockhart's book launch, and they are all here to sign autographs.

Most of the crowd were witches of Mrs. Weasley's age, and it was not an exaggeration to call Lockhart the "Grandma Killer".

William seems to have seen Cedric open a wand shop in the future, and this is probably the case.

A group of elderly witches lined up at the door to sell his wand and give him autographs.

The three of them bypassed the crowd and walked into the bookstore.

All William needed to buy were textbooks he hadn't learned in the time loop, such as Cassandra Wablaski's "Cutting Through the Fog and Looking to the Future."

Cassandra Wablaski is a famous prophet, now in her nineties, still alive, and she is still the senior sister of Old Man Newt.

However, unlike Newt, who dropped out of school, Cassandra graduated peacefully and later became a Hogwarts professor, and she was replaced by Professor Trelawney after she retired.

William, a senior member of the Blotted Bookstore, had bought a lot of books, and when he heard him coming, the bookstore manager immediately walked out.

The manager led William to the back half of the bookstore. There was a corner full of books on divination.

On a small table are books such as "Prophecy of the Unforeseen: Saving Yourself from Blows" and "Broken Ball: When Bad Fate" is placed.

"All the basic divination methods in "Clearing the Fog and Looking to the Future" - looking at palmistry, crystal balls, bird offal...... All of them have a very useful guiding role. The manager introduced.

But William didn't listen to him, and his eyes fell on another book, which was on the top of the shelf: The Predictions of Tyco Dodonus.

This book is a well-known book of prophecy, and its place in the history of prophecy is roughly equivalent to pushing back pictures.

But most wizards only treat it as poetry.

William heard Old Man Newt mention the famous prophecy:

The boy was cruelly exiled,

The daughter is in deep despair,

The warrior returns with vengeance,

Spread your wings and soar through the water.

Before the battle at Père Lachaise's cemetery, this prophecy had been rumored to be a reference to the silent Credens.

He is believed to be the mysteriously missing child of the pure-blood Lestrange family, Ecovacs Lestrange.

But as it turns out, he wasn't a Lestrange kid.

William waved his wand, and the book ran into his hand, and he opened the book of prophecy and flipped to page seven.

That page is also just four simple sentences.

"Oh, ruthless demon king!

Ah, broken souls!

The self-exile of the year,

Reborn in the Gift of Death. ”

William was confused, prophecy is like this, never speaks human words.

"Mr. Stark, if I were you, I wouldn't read a book like this." The manager saw William looking at the book and said lightly.

"This is an old antique published in the last century, just a poem, deceitful."

William was noncommittal, "Pack the book for me too." ”

William prepares to start school and consult with his future divination teacher, Professor Trelawney.

This is the man Dumbledore fancies, so he must have some talent, right?

Soon, around the corner, William bumps into Luna and her father.

Luna wears a shiny outfit with two thumb-sized carved pumpkin earrings.

Luna's father was even more bizarre, wearing a black robe with white lettering on it - "Singing Against the Tune"

Obviously, Luna's style of dressing is influenced by Lovegood.

"There's a lot of people, isn't it?" "They were all lining up to buy Lockhart's books, but I didn't feel a bit of wisdom in him. ”

"He's an idiot." Luna commented.

"Why do you say that?" William asked.

"Lockhart has a harassing fly in his head, and he's long since lost his mind."

The harassing fly is another creature that Luna believes in, a creature that can't see with the eyes and floats into people's ears and messes up people's brains.

Luna's arms danced around her head as if trying to chase away mosquitoes.

William smiled and bent over, Luna was still so funny.

Lovegood was sullen and complained that Lockhart had not invited him, the famous editor-in-chief.

Lovegood never gave up the opportunity to make money, after all, he had to work hard to support his daughter Luna.

Money, always not enough!

Just then, Lockhart rushed from the front.

He wore a robe as blue as a forget-me-not flower, matching his blue eyes. The peaked wizard's hat is playfully crooked over a curly hair.

"Haha, William, long time no see."

Lockhart, like a friend for many years, patted William on the shoulder affectionately.

In fact, the two met once, or at the Merlin Medal ceremony.

A few letters were written, and William helped Dumbledore invite him to be a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.

Lockhart invited William to the book launch, but he refused.

"You're still coming to my press conference?" Lockhart said excitedly.

"No, I just brought my family to buy books." William smiled politely.

"Book...... My book, right? I can send you a few sets...... Just a few minutes.

William, everyone will love that two Merlin recipients are standing together. Lockhart invited again.

A short, grumpy man with a large black camera jumped up and down in front of him, trying to take a group photo.

With his right hand behind his back, William waved his wand lightly, and a puff of purple smoke erupted from the camera.

He'd seen the story of Lockhart, and he didn't want to be scribbled by unscrupulous reporters.

"Oh, the camera suddenly malfunctioned?" The short man examines the camera.

"What's going on? It's too late, the press conference is about to begin. Lockhart frowned, and he suddenly saw Lovegood beside him.

Lovegood also carried a camera.

"Hey, William, this is your friend and a journalist?" Lockhart asked.

"I'm the editor-in-chief of 'Singing Against the Tune.'" Lovegood said unhappily.

"I haven't heard of "Singing Against the Tune" ......., but would you mind taking a few photos for me later? Of course, if your newspaper wants to use my picture as a cover, it will increase sales. ”

Lockhart thought Lovegood was a friend of William's, so he made a slight gesture of overture.

William couldn't help but laugh, he was really looking forward to seeing the article about Lockhart on "Singing Contrarian".

Lovegood snorted haughtily, letting Luna stay here, and followed with satisfaction.

Soon, there was another commotion outside, and it turned out that Malfoy and Mr. Weasley had choked.

As long as the two of them meet in Diagon Alley, they will do a shot, the kind with full firepower.

Lockhart clapped as he looked at Lovegood and the reporter from the Daily Prophet and asked:

"Can you also include the fight in the report, let's just say that Malfoy and Weasley beat each other up in the street in order to snap up my book!"

William didn't hear it, because he had already rushed up to pull the shelf.

It's like what Cedric took him to do.
