Chapter Seventy-Six: Mutiny
That's how the Afghan guerrillas ...... Although many people are not afraid of death and are willing to fight the invaders, it is difficult to keep them organized and disciplined.
Just like the battle Smith had fought before with the guerrillas...... He even thought that he only needed to arrange a few military advisers in each guerrilla unit to organize the guerrillas to fight together...... The result will only be a kind of "chaotic war".
As for our troops...... It took a lot of Chinese soldiers to lead and control...... For example, two Chinese soldiers must be assigned to lead four Afghan guerrillas for each anti-aircraft gun, and one Chinese soldier must be assigned to be a platoon commander for every few anti-aircraft machine guns...... Even so, it has to go through training, communication, and drills again and again...... Only then can combat effectiveness be brought into play.
And even then, it is already very difficult for us to control it, because the number of guerrillas is increasing, and we Chinese soldiers are strictly speaking decreasing all the time.
And some wars have to be left to the Afghan guerrillas themselves, such as now.
However, this time it should be said that there is still a mess of benefits...... The reason is that we are already making trouble, and more importantly, the Soviet army and the Afghan government army have never seen this tactic at all...... So although the Soviet and Afghan armies in the south were warned, they didn't do anything, and everyone was glad that the fire didn't reach the south, and some even craned their necks and waited to see the show...... Yadi! Let you fight one more mountain pass than we did during the day, and now let you know the consequences of stealing the merits.
But as soon as the thought came to mind, the gunshots rang out...... Then came the same chaos as to the north...... Only then did they realize that the guerrillas were not only "lucky" in the north, but that the time had not yet come!
It can be said that not many people slept in the Higio Valley this night......
Needless to say, the Soviet army and the Afghan government army were scared all night...... As for us. The reason why I couldn't sleep was purely because of the noise of gunshots.
Of course. Many Afghans can't sleep because they're too excited...... At first they didn't know what was going on when they heard the gunshots...... When we called in the daredevils, we didn't tell them about the plan.
Later, when I heard Hassan and others explain, I realized that this was the enemy fighting himself. I couldn't help but laugh excitedly, and the crowds watched the fire from the direction of the Soviet army on the high ground, and there were a few cheers when the gunfire was intense......
The next morning, when the sky was getting brighter...... We found that the effect of this "suspicious strategy" is surprisingly good...... Huge swaths of the enemy fell in the valleys, at the foot of the mountains, by the tents, by the river...... There were corpses and blood everywhere, and what surprised me the most was ...... The corpses were divided into two camps, the Soviet camp and the Afghan government army.
Of course, most of them are the corpses of the Afghan government army, and the corpses of the Soviet army will be much less.
At first I thought it was because our death squad was Afghans. They are the reason for the chaos among the Afghan government forces...... Later I learned that things are not so simple.
In fact, the Soviet army and the Afghan government army have long been at odds...... The Soviet army was on guard everywhere that the Afghan government army would mutiny, but the Afghan government army was unwilling to be used by the Soviet army, not only to bear the distrust of the Soviet army, but also to be used as cannon fodder on the battlefield...... It's just that the Soviet army is too strong and the family still has to live in Kabul, so these contradictions are temporarily suppressed and not expressed.
However...... The fact that the contradiction does not come out does not mean that it does not exist, but that it is constantly gathering strength like the boiling lava under a volcano...... All it needs is an outlet, or a bomb needs a fuse.
And these death squads I sent...... It provides an outlet and a fuse for these contradictions......
After the death squads infiltrated the Afghan government army, they first led the chaos of the government army...... The confusion quickly spread, and everyone was using guns, and it was a fully automatic rifle...... The bullets were flying around, and they would inevitably fly to the Soviet camp.
As soon as the Soviets saw that there were bullets hitting this side, they naturally nervously returned fire...... People thought it was a guerrilla attack, but they were all AK47s. The shouts were in Persian...... Who knows who they are.
It's just that such a dozen stabbed the hornet's nest...... Afghan government forces are secretly ...... Oh yes! The Soviets even shot at us, and they usually don't treat us as human beings. When we were fighting, we rushed to the front, and now they are beating us to death...... We didn't fight back, we didn't let the Soviets pinch the dough yet.
So I called back without saying a word......
There were more bullets from the government army...... The Soviets began to think again: it seems that there are not guerrillas, and there can't be so many guerrillas...... That's ...... Government troops mutinied! The government army took the opportunity to mutiny when there were guerrillas all around here!
It's worth it! Call me...... Tanks and armored vehicles were all transferred to me...... You must put down the rebellion for me!
So the misunderstanding soon got deeper and deeper...... Coupled with the fact that the language of the two sides is not comprehensible, and the explanation is not clear, the night has become more and more lively, and there are even red eyes in some places...... Even if it is dawn, I still don't want to stop fighting! The Afghan government army, which is obviously lacking in firepower and defense, is all scolding their mothers in their hearts......
"Killed so many of our comrades-in-arms, just think about it, there is no door!"
"Misunderstanding? What's the misunderstanding? The Soviets have long looked at us unpleasantly, and now they are taking this opportunity to eradicate us! ”
"Don't trust the Soviets, they want to trick us and kill us without much effort!"
……
So as an ally, trust is really important...... This is what we often say in Chinese, "don't use suspicious people, don't suspect people...... The Soviets committed this taboo and used the Afghan government army but never wanted to believe them...... So we have the situation we have today.
This has left the four battalions of Afghan government forces dead and fleeing...... There are also some who feel that they have been forced to have no way out, so they simply defect to us guerrillas!
And what about the Soviet army...... While some of them have realized that this is a misunderstanding, they certainly won't say that...... How much responsibility does this have to bear, if you don't get it right, you will be scolded by your superiors: "How did you command the troops, and you would beat your own people?" ”
So...... The best thing to do is to make mistakes, so an order goes down: "The Afghan government army has mutinied and annihilated!" (To be continued......)
