Police dogs are mostly used to track or catch thieves, that is, let him sniff the suspect's clothes or other things, and then let him find the suspect's location by smell.

Military dogs are mostly used for special purposes such as mine clearance...... Some wood-hulled mines cannot even be detected by deminers, but military dogs trained with gunpowder sensitivity can easily locate these mines and send special messages, such as wagging their tails or barking.

But as the so-called "art industry has a specialization", the same is true of police dogs and military dogs, their training since childhood makes their sense of smell more sensitive to human odors or gunpowder, if they are used in anti-drug investigation, the effect is not ideal.

In fact, Captain Chen and others also tried this, and transferred a few police dogs to search for them when they set up cards, but they had few results, unless it was the kind of drug dealers whose vigilance was too poor, and they didn't even clean their hands with drug powder, so they let the police dogs arrest them.

Not to mention, there are such drug dealers. Opium smells different from heroin, and police dogs that are sensitive to opium may not always be able to detect heroin.

In this way, a qualified drug detection dog needs half a year, a year or even longer to train.
