Chapter Eighty-Three: Coming from behind

At the beginning of the game, the Boston Celtics took the Lakers a dismount.

The starting lineup for the Celtics is PG Dana Barros, SG Eric Williams, SF Rick Fox, PF Antoine Walker C, Dino Ladia.

With the exception of point guard Dana Barros, all players reached a height of more than 2 meters.

Dana Barros was the No. 16 pick in '89, although he was only 1.80 meters tall. But he's a top-tier three-point shooter. He had 20.6 points and 7.5 assists in the '95 season and shot 2.4 three-pointers on 46.4% shooting.

Rick Fox is the No. 24 pick in '91 with a height of 2.01 meters. This season, he averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game. He is a quality striker who can play both offensively and defensively.

Kobe Bryant was a teammate with him for 7 years in his last life, and he had a close relationship, and Fox was not an easy player to solve.

Eric Williams is the No. 14 pick in '95 and is 2.03 meters tall. This season, he averaged 15 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Also a good forward role player.

Antoine Walker, this year's No. 6 pick. The Celtics expect a lot from him, he is 2.03 meters tall and currently averaging 17.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. That's a very good rookie power forward stat.

Dino Radia, a 2.11m Croatian insider. The Celtics drafted him with just the 13th pick in the second round in '89, and last season he blasted a quasi-All-Star caliber statistic of 19.7 points and 9.8 rebounds. It can be said that it makes everyone's eyes shine.

It can be said that this youth team led by M-L. Kyle has a very good lineup on paper, and at the same time, there are very good prospects to look forward to.

You can see that the overall height of the Celtics team is very tall, with size and speed. It's a great combination.

So when they were inspired by Auerbach to play a smooth offensive and defensive game, it surprised the unprepared Lakers.

A bad team actually scored 30 points in a single quarter in front of the strong first in the West!

23:30 was the score difference at the end of the first quarter.

And 18 of those 23 points were scored by O'Neal and Kobe.

I don't know if it's because of the tiring journey or because of the atmosphere at Boston's home stadium. The rest of the team scored just two points on 2-of-12 shooting.

And after Kobe Bryant and O'Neal were trapped, the players who shot in the open space also missed repeatedly.

At the beginning of the second quarter, the Lakers' bench was in the same sluggish state as the starters. Fortunately, the defense is still on the line, and the Celtics' weak bench is also difficult to score.

The two sides changed their starters, and although the Lakers starters still did not find offensive form in the second quarter, their defensive aggression kept up.

The second quarter is tied at 22:22.

At halftime, the Lakers trailed by seven points at 45:52.

Bryant scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting in the half. The poor performance of his teammates made the Celtics more adamant about his bag, and he struggled to get good shooting space, and the Celtics' forward line was simply too tall.

O'Neal had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists on 5-of-7 shooting, and was in good shape, but he also encountered a bag after holding the ball and didn't get many shooting opportunities.

The second half is about to start, and I believe that my teammates will find their touch. Or continue to shoot with poor shooting space?

Of course, continue to vote.

This may be a very difficult choice for other players.

But for Kobe, that's not a problem at all.

Even if I miss 100 goals, I still believe that the next goal will be hit.

This is a way of basketball, perhaps not the most scientific and reasonable.

But that's Kobe.

A paranoid, confident, stubborn soul.

The second half began.

The Celtics made a round pass and passed it to Antoine Walker.

Antoine Walker is also Campbell's favorite feared high-mobility power forward, especially since he also has a three-point hand.

Antoine Walker faked a three-point shot and shook off Campbell to score a layup inside.

Kobe Bryant was helpless, the big forward was almost blown up every game, and Campbell, who got a big contract, didn't seem to be strong enough.

Offense and defense transition, Kobe Bryant offense.

Just after half-time, the Celtics came up with a bag.

Rick Fox and Eric Williams pounced, and Bryant passed to Eddie Jones.

Eddie Jones threw another open-cut Kobe Bryant, who was faster than Rick Fox and Eric Williams. The air cut shook them off and scored on a mid-range shot.

Rick Fox and Eric Williams looked at each other, and in that case, let Dana Barros, a speed defender, and Eric Williams, a striker, flank together.

The Celtics organized an attack again, and the passing line was predicted by Kobe, and it was a violent dunk to run to the front court after forcing the ball to break.

Boos erupted in the Fleet Center arena, and they didn't like any player wearing a Lakers jersey.

"Damn, guard against that number 8!" M-L. Kyle roars from the sidelines.

The two sides played back and forth for a few rounds, and the Lakers, under the leadership of Kobe, first scored 6 points by themselves. Then passed the ball to Eddie Jones and Bowen to score back-to-back. Hit a small orgasm of 11:2.

Sure enough, Bryant's choice was correct.

When you feel your own hands, this confidence can drive your teammates.

If your teammates dare to throw and don't worry about losing it, they will naturally always find their feelings.

The Celtics opted for a timeout, and the lead was wiped out in just half a quarter, and they even trailed by two points.

M-L. Kyle's saliva splattered, and the Celtics players lowered their heads, they tried their best, but Kobe's outburst caught them off guard.

Auerbach paced back and forth on the sidelines, and he was the one who could understand the situation best.

From the moment the bag against Kobe Bryant was declared invalid, the Celtics' game was difficult.

M.L. Kyle was reluctant to let the Lakers' shooter continue to shoot in the open spot, and he chose to let Eric Williams defend Bryant alone.

Bryant came on the court, saw the Celtics' arrangement, breathed a sigh of relief, and finally got back on track.

When the Celtics' defense returned to the usual defensive style, the Lakers, who crushed them, burst out with a score of 26:12 in the first quarter.

Especially when Harris tried to replace Campbell with Horry, an unexpected chemistry occurred.

The combination of Kobe + Jones + Bowen + Horry + O'Neal, there is too much room for offense!

Bryant and O'Neal no longer have to face each other's strong defenses when scoring under the basket, which takes the team's offense up a notch again.

On the defensive end, Horry was able to keep up with Antoine Walker, which made up for the Lakers' biggest hole on the defensive end.

That's why the Lakers were able to score 14 points in a single quarter.

71:64 Lakers lead by seven points heading into the fourth quarter.

Kobe Bryant no longer forced shots, he let his teammates who found their touch attack more, and his teammates lived up to expectations, hitting and shooting one after another.

The gap between the hard power of the Lakers and the Celtics is too great.

There is really no way to win by conventional means.

The game was decided with half a quarter remaining, and both sides made all the starters at the same time.

Bryant sat on the bench, and Auerbach walked straight over.

"Kobe, are you interested in playing in Boston?"

Kobe Bryant has a question mark on his face, are you suspected of violating the rules to lure players like this?

But it is estimated that the league has no good way to take this living fossil, after all, it is the only god who dares to be the president of the league and smoke cigars on the side of the court.

"I'm not interested, I don't like green."

Auerbach looked pity, if Kobe Bryant was willing, he was even willing to give all the team's assets in exchange for Kobe.

At the end of the game, the Lakers came from behind and won 98-79 away against the Boston Celtics.

Bryant scored 25 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists, and O'Neal scored 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

On the Celtics side, this year's No. 6 show Antoine Walker scored 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists, and his performance was also impressive.

"Kobe, I'll prove that the Celtics were right to choose me instead of you!" The young fat head finds Kobe.

"I'm looking forward to it."
