Chapter 82: The Glory of Boston
After the Lakers finished their game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Bryant hugged his family on the sidelines.
Then he went on the team bus with his teammates. Heading to the Philadelphia airport, they need to travel quickly to Boston to prepare for tomorrow's game.
Although the glory of the Celtics is gone, as long as Auerbach is still in their management, the Lakers will not dare to take it lightly.
Boston is the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of Massachusetts and the largest city in the New England region of the northeastern United States. Located on the Atlantic coast of the northeastern United States, it was founded in 1630 and is one of the oldest and most culturally valuable cities in the United States. The Boston Tea Party, which took place in American history, culminated in the famous American Revolutionary War.
Boston is the center of higher education and health care in the northeastern United States and has the highest educated population in the country. Its economy is based on scientific research, finance and technology β especially bioengineering β and is considered a global or world city.
The Lakers arrived in Boston in the early morning and immediately went to the hotel to rest.

Speaking of team logos, the oldest team logo in MLS basketball is the Boston Celtics, which they have been using since their inception.
The man in a green jacket, a green hat, and a civilized stick is probably a true portrayal of the first owner of the Celtics.
There is no doubt that the Boston Celtics are a great team and a mortal enemy of the Lakers.
Their duels began in the Wild Era, and one has been passed down to this day. And they are also the two teams with the most championships in MLS.
Yellow and green, these two colors have been the representatives of the league for a very long time in American professional basketball.
It can be said that without the battle between yellow and green, there would be no glorious history of American professional basketball.
From 1946 to 1995, they played for the BAA (the predecessor of the NBA, renamed the NBA in 1949) until 1995, and they used a ballpark, Boston Garden.
This old gymnasium is home to two of the most glorious periods in Bostonian history. Russell's '60s and Larry. Bird's '80s also saw 16 championship flags raised.
On September 29, 1995, with the end of a nostalgic evening in the Boston Garden, the arena, which had been in service for nearly 50 years, was officially closed, and in its place was a new modern stadium, the Fleet Center Arena.
The Celtics, like the Lakers, have been in a slump since the retirement of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, and have never returned to the ranks of the powerhouses.
It's just that the Lakers signed O'Neal this season and traded to Kobe Bryant to get them back into the top team.
And the current Boston Carts are 3-8 and determined to swing. Cardinal Auerbach, the legendary head coach of the Celtics, president and vice chairman, seems to want to make some cunning moves to get his team to the top again.
It's just as he's been doing for decades.
In the summer of 1956, he selected Tom Heinsohn and KC Jones. And Reinhardt, who was instructed by him to look for a great center, gave an answer: a 206 cm tall guy with extremely imperfect offensive ability. And the Minneapolis Lakers are fighting for him.
Auerbach was resolute β as he did repeatedly in the decades that followed β to use his wrists to get the young centre-forward. He may not have known at the time how much this would affect the course of the times. And we'll write that name in the historical chronology years later, Bill Russell, Celtics No. 6.
In 1979, the 63-year-old man once again found the prince he needed to carry on the glory of his original creation. He, Auerbach, the first anti-racist in NBA history to start with an all-black man, was the sixth pick in the 1978 draft to select a white man who played at Indiana University for four years and couldn't run fast or jump high - Larry Bird. According to his own account, he has only seen one ball from this guy.
On June 9, 1980, Auerbach made another terrible deal β how many times he had done similar cunning in more than three decades β that earned him a reputation as a "robber." He traded the No. 1 and No. 13 picks from the Golden State Warriors for the No. 3 pick and Robert Parish and then the University of Minnesota forward Kevin McHale with the No. 3 pick.
In 1986, Auerbach tried to build on the Bird-led Celtics. He cleverly got a draft pick and got β we have to believe in his vision β a talented player, Bias. Just hours after he was selected, the genius, the child who was fantasized about being a future superstar, the man who was supposed to bring glory to the future Celtic dynasty, died of cocaine poisoning.
And this year, Auerbach is doing his best to try to bring Boston a player who can lead them to a revival.

"Guys, we've got to deal a lethal blow to those Lakers kids." Auerbach showed up in the locker room before the game, and he didn't want to lose to the Lakers, even if the team was messing around.
He gave every player in the room a Dutch Masters cigar.
"When you win, you can enjoy him."
Boston Celtics coach M.L. Kyle chimed in, knowing he was a bad coach. He will be kicked out of the team without mercy when the team improves, but it is an honor to coach Celtic in a team full of history.
The players looked at each other and won the victory for the Cardinals, which became the consensus of the whole team.
This is the magic of Cardinal Auerbach, and in just a few words, the emotions of the team are mobilized.

When the Lakers walked into the Fleet Center arena, the deafening shouts shocked most of the players.
βBEAT LA! BEAT LA! BEAT LA!β
"My good man, this momentum." Fisher looked around, there had never been a stadium where he had ever encountered such a crazy fan.
"Guys, get used to this. You know, Boston will only shout at us. Lambis, who had experienced SHOWTIME, smiled, and the voice in the venue today was a little lacking. In the end, it is the absence of Larry Bird, and the fans are a little weak.
In their time, the shouts were even more terrifying than they are today.
Bryant looked up at the rows of championship flags and retired jerseys hanging over the Fleet Center arena, and turned a deaf ear to the shouts from inside the stadium.
Auerbach on the sidelines kept his eyes on Kobe.
It's uncomfortable if our No. 6 pick this year doesn't sign Antoine Walker and sign Kobe Bryant......
