Volume 14 Everyone in the School

I've just started college and am anxious to share everything with my high school classmates. In 2008, there was no Weibo, let alone WeChat, so it could only be through QQ space. One day, Meatball, a former "life-saver", asked me if I was on campus. At first, I didn't take it seriously, I didn't know what it was, I thought it was a non-mainstream instant messaging software like MSN. Later, when I was bored with going to an Internet café for a night, I registered an account, and I let it go if I saw that it was not attractive. Within a few days, Da Biao's squad leader registered, Eric and Lin Ye also registered, and instantly I found that many people around me had registered school accounts. So I logged in again, and this time I finally realized how powerful it was.

Through school and class searches, I applied to add friends to all my college classmates, high school classmates, junior high school classmates, and even elementary school classmates. As a result, I also learned where the scattered classmates had gone and what majors they were studying. At that time, everyone didn't have a strong sense of privacy, after all, the people who added it were people they knew, so everyone unscrupulously posted the status and uploaded photos without any retouching (after all, the one-click beautification function was also a later thing). It also gave me an idea of how they live and study. Even I often follow the clues between the lines to understand their mood and emotional state. For a moment, I felt as if I had opened the perspective of God, and although everyone was thousands of miles apart, everything about them was clear in front of me. Now that I think about it, what a terrible thing the Internet is, and how important it is to protect your privacy.

Soon, the school intranet spread like a virus from school to school, and I was able to snoop on more and more information. Moreover, because it is a real-name registration, I also discovered an important function: find people! Not looking for classmates, but looking for the people we want to find! For example, the flower of the junior courtyard that Da Biao and Lao Zhao liked, and the bad girl that Lin Ye missed. As long as they give a simple description, I can find the classmate based on the clues. Then I went into their space and searched for photos, and when I watched the class leader get their favorite toys like children, I felt like a god. Of course, I also did a thorough search of the green bow girl's space, and unfortunately, she doesn't seem to like to like posting photos.

The school is our paradise, there are no parents here, there are people who know you and people you know. You can post statuses with impunity here. Later, a series of online games were released on the intranet: stealing vegetables, grabbing parking spaces, and the on-campus restaurant, etc., and everyone had a lot of fun. It's even crazier to steal vegetables, in addition to the school intranet, there was also a happy farm on the happy net at that time. During the day, we were worried that the students who didn't have classes would go to the farm and steal their own vegetables, and when we didn't have classes, we would go to other students to steal them back. There are even crazier people who go to an Internet café to surf the Internet all night for a few dishes, not only stealing it themselves, but also helping others steal it. I'm no exception, but I'm addicted to the school's web games, which are made more interesting by ranking points. Sometimes in order to compete for the first place, I will even play small games such as "Water Pipe" and "Lianliankan" until the lights go out and the network is disconnected.

Later, there were many public accounts in the school. Many schools, colleges, and clubs have also registered official accounts. The official account will publish a lot of interesting articles, and those who like it will reprint it. As a result, I also learned a lot of new knowledge and ideas. But what's even more fun is the shared videos, where talented students bring interesting videos from major video sites to the school. If the school could carry forward this area at the beginning, there would basically be no Kuaishou and Douyin now.

And those students who have an active brain and business acumen have already started to advertise on the school network to do business. When you are full of joy and find a new message, open the advertisement that turns out to be a so-and-so classmate repairing a computer. When you are ecstatic to see that a girl has added you, she agrees to ask you New Oriental and Amway every day. I think this is also the predecessor of "micro-business", right? And they are all accurate customers, with a 100% arrival rate.

Through the intranet, I got acquainted with the girls in the college. Every time they post a topic that interests me, I will leave my opinion in that state, and I will interact with each other as soon as I come and go, and there will never be an awkward conversation again. Because, through the screen, they can't see my expression. I don't have to blush because I'm looking at them. It's not like calling and voice calls and answering the other party's questions immediately, you can think clearly before talking. So much so that now I prefer to communicate with strangers through text. This kind of immediacy is a bit of a way of affecting communication efficiency, but it suits me.

But later, in order to expand the number of users, the school intranet was renamed Renren. At first, we just awkwardly settled on the new name, posting status, sharing our lives, and uploading photos. However, the emergence of the krypton function has made the fair and equal school a class of people. And the halfway out of "WeChat" has brought it to the end. However, this is also a very later matter.

Today, Renren is no longer the Renren network of the past, it has not succeeded in copying the model of Facebook, but has become a youthful mark of our generation. Thankfully, it can still be opened, and we can still see traces of our youth on it, and even the crazy things we have done......
