Chapter 21: A Good Thing That Is Not a Good Thing
The three encounters with Willy Blois ended with Maca being deflated, which caused him to feel serious frustration for the first time, who had always been confident in his communicative skills.
After dropping Willie to the door of the Ravenclaw Tower without saying a word, Maca returned to her dorm room and collapsed on the bed.
"What's wrong? A dejected look, which is rare in you! Roommate Ernie said curiously.
"It's nothing," Maca waved weakly, "just a little tired." β
"I'm tired!" He added in his heart.
The next morning, as soon as Maca stepped into the dining room, she immediately saw Hermione walking towards him with a worried face.
"Was it okay yesterday?" She looked Maca up and down, and seeing that he didn't seem to have changed, she began her rambling again, "I say, you're too impulsive!" I'd heard the meaning of that word from Ron last night, but I don't think we need to care about it! Malfoy just has a bad brain! There's no need to be like him......"
ββ¦β¦ Well, and, thank you. At the end of the day, Hermione was a little embarrassed.
"You're welcome, remember, we're friends!" Maca spread her hands and smiled, "Also, you'll have to fix your verbose bad habits." β
With that, Makahaha smiled and walked towards the Hufflepuff table, saying good morning to Harry and Ron along the way.
"What's wrong with him? Looks refreshed, did you encounter something good? Ron replied to Maca, then looked at Harry.
"How do I know, I heard that he likes to take care of the flowers and plants in the greenhouse, maybe yesterday's punishment just happened to his appetite!" Harry shook his head and replied jokingly.
"You two! Isn't it also a friend of Maca? Don't you know if you're worried about him! Hermione walked over and sat down neatly across from them and said loudly.
"Isn't it enough for you to care about him!" Ron said vaguely as he shoved fried bacon into his mouth.
"Maka he's very capable, and he can handle the trouble," Harry thought for a moment, and added, "at least a lot better than us." β
"Yes! He can take out a troll on his own! Oh my God, it's incredible to think about it now. Ron said wistfully, "If only I could do it." β
"Then you should do your homework!" Hermione said, "Don't just deal with them all the time. β
"Ohβit's starting again." Ron groaned.
Maca looked at the trio from afar, thinking that it would be great if life went on so uneventfully and steadily. For him, isn't this kind of leisurely life, which is completely different from the past, exactly what he wants?
"McLean, come to my office after the morning class." He was thinking when he heard a voice calling him.
"Oh! Professor Sprout? Maca saw her smile all over her face, and this time it was probably a good thing, "Okay, Professor." β
The first class of the morning was the history of magic, and Professor Binns, as always, used his hypnotic tone to explain the evolution of self-agitating crucibles to the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students. While the rest of the class thought it was a particularly boring passage, Maca was inspired by a few examples of how he was going to try to improve the cauldron, which might lead to a semi-automated era for his potion fortune.
Of course, it's obviously not that easy.
The second class is Maca's most troublesome transformation class at the moment.
To be honest, he had always enjoyed the course, but the pace of learning was very different from Charms, let alone Potions, which he excelled in.
Especially some time ago, when he saw a few rather interesting records in the forbidden book area, he felt even more difficult.
He discovered that the ancient demon summoning technique was actually closely related to the Transfiguration technique!
Let's not mention the obvious taboo of summoning demons. Maca guessed that summoning alone was inextricably linked to Transfiguration. And it is white magic, which has been known for its destructive power since ancient times, and has been one of the main categories of magic for many powerful white wizards.
Today, the theory is almost completely lost, but it's a wonderful subject to explore.
Such a seductive and esoteric magic was a luxurious feast for Maca that could not be seen and eaten, how could he not be anxious?
In the Transfiguration class, Maca easily turned a match into a needle and then back again. While he was being praised by Professor McGonagall, he seemed even more distressed - it was clear that the slow progress was not a matter of his personal talent at all, and that was the problem.
Do you want him to ask Dumbledore that he had seen the record of demon summoning in the forbidden book area, and wanted to study it as soon as possible? No kidding!
After class, Maca walked briskly to the greenhouse, wanting to fill his sadness with the unknown good news that Professor Sprout had brought him.
"Tuk Tuk" "Please come in!" β
Pushing open the office door, Maca immediately spotted another person in the office, the first-year flying professor, Mrs. Hooch.
"Hello, Madame Hooch; Hello, Professor Sprout. Maca bowed slightly politely.
"Oh-yes, you're here, come over kid." Professor Sprout cordially beckoned Maca over.
"Yes, yes, there is good news for today," said Professor Sprout, "that Madame Hooch recommended you to me that you should join the Quidditch team at Hufflepuff House!" β
"Oh! I was shocked to hear this! You know, if you do pass the selection test, you'll be the youngest academy player in a century! I'm so proud of you! β
As she spoke, Professor Sprout couldn't help but hug Marka, she was really happy.
"Yes! I don't think Mr. McLean will make it to the provisional selection, this kid has never been seen to be gifted in Quidditch. I think that if he had gone through a series of professional training, he might have even been selected by a professional team when he was a student! β
"Uh, is that true?" Maca does love to fly freely in the air, but she has only a lot of interest in the sport of Quidditch.
"Oh, of course! I've asked Dumbledore about whether or not a first-year student can play on a Quidditch team, and he thinks it's proof of the student's excellence. "Dumbledore loved the sport too, and he often found time to watch the international leagues!" β
"Uh, noβah! I mean, I'm excited about it! Maca said excitedly.
Now that the parties have agreed, everything will be easy. After lunch, Professor Sprout took advantage of his lunch break to give the macas to Darren Chris, the captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team.
Speaking of which, this gentle and helpful sixth-year boy is also the prefect of Hufflepuff House!
"Maka, I've heard it from Mrs. Hooch before," Darren said with a smile and patted Maka on the shoulder, "Awesome! I've never heard of a first-year team that you can join a house team. β
"Yes! I was also surprised, I didn't even know if I could do it well. In fact, I've only done some simple flying practice in my flight lessons! β
Of course, sometimes you can't control it, just fly blindly by your temperament.
"No problem, no problem! We all trust Madame Hooch's vision β she has been a Quidditch Cup judge for many years! β
"Besides, our house doesn't really care much about Quidditch cups...... At least I think Quidditch is a relaxing recess sport! "That's why I hate Slytherin, they always do anything to win." β
"Oh yes, I think so too." Maca smiled and chimed in, "I love the feeling of flying freely!" β
"Alright, the lunch break is almost over! Come to the Quidditch pitch after class in the afternoon, and we'll give you a temporary entrance test, so look forward to it! Hahaha-" Darren waved away, he was getting ready to go to class.
"Hahaha." Maca laughed awkwardly.
He found that the estimated time to go to the library in the future was greatly reduced, which was not good news.
The afternoon of classes passed quickly, and as Maca was crowding into the common room in the hallway with a large number of students, he was pulled out of the crowd by a delicate, white hand.
"Huh?" Maca was startled, and after seeing who it was, he breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Oh, Sister Charlotte, what's the matter?" β
"What can I do, I'll take you to the Quidditch pitch!" Charlotte patted Maca's back top hard and said with a big grin.
Take him to the court? Could it be ......
"Is Senpai a player on the academy team?" Maca said in surprise.
"Of course! Didn't I tell you? We might be teammates in the future! If you want to see me every day, then you have to work harder today. β
Charlotte dragged Maca's hand and said casually, walking downstairs under the curious eyes of many students. Although they didn't hear what the two were talking about, seeing Maca being held by such a big beauty and leaving, which boy would not be curious?
"Oh, senior sister! I said, don't pull, I'll go by myself. Maca said helplessly.
"What's so bad about being held by me, one of the three beauties of Hogwarts, and showing off in public? You must be enjoying it, my junior brother. Charlotte smiled, like a lewd aunt who was seducing Xiao Zhengtai.
"Come on! I didn't find it enjoyable, the only thing I felt was that I was watching a group of hungry wolf cubs down the street! Maca said with a wry smile.
"It's cheap, and it's good!" Charlotte smiled and patted Maca's head, but let go of his hand.
