Chapter 410: The Great War Is About to Begin (28)
Xie Baoshu didn't know what the peacock country in the West was like, but in the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism was indeed not very popular.
There is a story in the "Ahama Sutra": There is a good elderly person with sufficient wealth and fame in the country of Shewei, that is, for the lonely elderly. There is a wealthy elder in the neighboring country, and these two elders are very good friends, and they often come and trade with each other.
One day, the wealthy elder went to the Acropolis to visit the elder Ho Shi. At that time, the daughter of the elder came to greet her parents, and the father introduced her to her daughter: This is my good friend, the old man Manchu. And he asked his daughter to inquire of him. The girl's name was Sumoti, and she was very beautiful and had a lot of feminine virtues.
When the old man saw her, his eyes lit up, because he had a son who was of marriageable age, and when he saw that the daughter of the elder was so dignified and wise, he felt that his son was very suitable for her. When the girl went in, he immediately said to the elder Shi, "I have a son." Do you think the two of us are the right match?
The elder replied: According to the style of the door and the tutor, of course, there is nothing to say: Moreover, it is good if I can marry you, but this is impossible. When the elder Mancai heard this, he felt very strange and asked, "Since we are the right family and good friends, why is it impossible?"
Elder Manchu then asked, "What is your faith?" Elder Hao Shi said, "Our whole family is a disciple of the Buddha, and my daughter has great respect for the Buddha, and the Buddha's teachings are so deeply embedded in her daily life that they cannot be separated. Your beliefs are completely different from ours! You and I are good friends, and it doesn't matter if you have different beliefs. However, if my daughter marries into your family, she may not be able to live in harmony with you.
The old man said, "Faith can be separated!" It doesn't matter if she believes in hers and we believe in ours! She can continue to believe in her Buddhism devoutly. At that time, the elder felt the sincerity of the elder Mancai, so he agreed to this family business. Soon, they married with great pomp and circumstance, and a lot of gold and silver treasures, and the elder of the good charity also gave his daughter a rich dowry.
When the wedding procession returned to the city gate, a group of cultivators from the outer paths gathered around. It turned out that there was a rule in their city that they could not marry anyone outside their city. If you commit a foul, you will be fined 6,000 taels. In addition, he had to set up a banquet to entertain 6,000 practitioners of the Outer Taoist Sect. The Elder Manchu knew this rule, so he happily set up a banquet to make offerings. After the offerings, he also taught the bride and groom to perform religious rituals and to honor these practitioners. However, these paganists, who are used to being topless, wear half-naked clothing.
At this time, when the bride Sumati heard from her father-in-law that she wanted to perform their religious rites to support the practitioner, she thought that this was not the right way to practice, so she insisted on refusing to go. No matter how much her father-in-law pleaded, and the groom asked many times, there was still no way. In the end, the wedding was very helpless. Since this incident, the Mancai Elder has been very annoyed and depressed every day.
One day, a Brahmin scholar came to visit the old man, and when he learned about the elderly, he said to him, "Once, when I went to the kingdom of Shawei, I saw that the Sangha was very neat and solemn, and that every one of them was full of authority and great powers, and this is a very good religion." Even if it is a little novice, after becoming a monk, he is full of virtue!
However, the elder Manchu said, "What's so good?" Our original religious beliefs are like this, how can we change them? If we marry a daughter-in-law of a different faith, the beliefs of the whole family will change along with them? The Brahmanical elders said, "What we want to pursue is spiritual faith, and we should go to the next level; just like me, I worship the Brahmanical teachings, but I also admire the education of the Dharma in my heart, so what's so bad?"
When the elder Manchu heard this, he thought it was very reasonable, so he asked his daughter-in-law to come out, and the Brahmin elder said to her, "Your teachings are so good, why don't you invite the Buddha to come here and preach the Dharma, so that your father-in-law and husband can also understand your religion?"
Sumoti thought that this was a good opportunity, so she went outside the pavilion and prayed to the Buddha to make offerings, and she prayed with the most fervent heart that the Buddha would come to the city of Manfu to receive the offerings.
The prayer of Sumati was also felt by the Buddha in the kingdom of Shawei, and he knew that Sumati was in trouble in the city of Manfu. So, first let the monks come to the city of Manfu one after another, and finally the Buddha also came.
When the Sangha arrived, the people of the city were deeply shocked by their majesty. After the Buddha received the offerings, he began to say the Dharma, and this news was transmitted from the elder's house to the outside of the city, and it was indeed a great event.
The Buddha enlightened a lot of people there, and the whole family of the wealthy elders was devoted to the Dharma, and from then on their beliefs were the same, and they had the same coupon, and not only the whole family was happy, but also the people of that city generally benefited from the Dharma.
In the past, the elders of a village, hearing that the Buddha was coming to the village, immediately recruited young wrestlers to straighten out the road, and the strong men in the village competed to participate, and the number of them was 500. During the renovation, it was found that there was a large stone in the middle of the road, which could not be moved no matter how hard the 500 wx tried.
At this time, the Buddha happened to pass by, and after asking the reason, he said, "I'll help you remove the stone." When the Buddha mentioned it lightly, he lifted the stone and threw it into the air, and with a "boom!" sound, the stone disappeared in an instant. These wrestlers then asked, "World-honored One, is there any greater power besides the birth power and liberation power of our parents?"
The Buddha replied, "And merit." Because of the Buddha's attainment of attainment of merit, he was able to subdue demonic obstacles and attain supreme enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. ”
The Buddha then asked, "World-honored One, is there any power other than merit?" and the Buddha said, "There is also wisdom." Only when wisdom is perfected can we cut off the troubles that have accumulated from beginningless eons. The five hundred wrestlers then asked, "Is there any greater power besides wisdom?"
The Buddha said, "There is also supernatural power." There is a divine power that can subdue the old and unwise, and the six masters of the outer path of Gonggao. ”
Five hundred Lux then asked, "Is there any greater power besides supernatural power?"
The Buddha replied, "Although there is parental power, meditation power, liberation power, merit power, wisdom power, and supernatural power, there is also one greatest power that no one can escape, and that is impermanence." ”
Then the Buddha said this to the people: "Meditation and liberation, the power of merit and wisdom, such as the power of Si Zhu, etc., is the greatest power of impermanence." ”
The Buddha told the five hundred whelms: "Know that although the body of the Buddha is as strong as a mountain of gold, it will eventually return to impermanence." A wise person should pursue the state of impermanence and cannot be persecuted. The Buddha also said, "You should know that the life expectancy of people in the world today is gradually decreasing, and their color power is decreasing. In fact, this big stone is just a stone that people in the past usually threw and teased, you can look at the sides of the stone, and there are still traces of finger taking. The five hundred wrestlers who listened attentively on the side were all amazed, and they had a rare heart, which destroyed the arrogance in their hearts.
Knowing that the cause for their attainment was ripe, the Buddha continued to teach them the Four Noble Truths, and the misconceptions that the 500 wrestlers had accumulated since the beginning of time were thus destroyed and attained the first fruits of the Arhats.
Zhang Jushi of Yongzhou, originally slaughtered as a profession, and the time to kill pigs every day was to hear the sound of the bell in the neighboring temple, and it seemed to have become a system every day.
One day, the monastery suddenly stopped ringing the bell for the following reason: The monks in the monastery dreamed at night that eleven people begged for mercy and begged not to ring the bell tomorrow morning, so that they could survive the danger of their lives.
Because he didn't hear the bell in the temple that morning, Zhang Butcher got up at dawn and saw that the pig he was going to kill gave birth to eleven piglets. Zhang then went to the temple to inquire why the bell was not rung this morning, and the monk told him what happened in his dream last night.
Zhang Butcher thus understood the true truth of reincarnation cause and effect. So he gave up the slaughtering industry, returned to Buddhism, and devoted himself to reciting the Buddha's name for more than ten years, so that he could know the major events of the past and the future. In particular, he can know the day of death and sit and die in the Western Elysium.
The local people built him a small temple and put his body in it for worship. As an example for later generations to change evil and cultivate good, put down the butcher's knife, and practice the fruit.
On the road of life, I don't know how many ups and downs I have to go through. Every time you succeed, you may have to go through the difficulties of Tang Seng learning from the scriptures. If our lives are really infinitely long, even if we go through all the roads, it doesn't matter, but the fact is that life is finite, life is short, and the time for life to really be able to do things is only a few decades.
The Complete Collection of Buddhist Stories You Need to Know_
Chapter 1 Sincerity is the Soul Know Yourself in One Room and Six Windows, Turning Stones into Gold True Buddhism requires people to be able to grasp their own minds. Don't let your heart be so scattered, once the heart is scattered, life will feel hard.
When people want to purify their hearts. They are often accustomed to rational control, but this can be counterproductive. Tell yourself: "You can't move your heart, you can't move your heart", and at this time your heart is already moving. Reminder to be afraid of oneself: "The heart cannot change with the situation", at this time the heart has already changed. True purity is not deliberately trying to control it. Nor is it deliberately grasping. What the
When you know your own heart, your heart will naturally not move. When the mind does not move, the hexagram will not be moved by the temptations of the outside world and purify itself. Classic Stories About the heartbeat, the world knows most of the story of the six ancestors Huineng's "wind movement, banner movement, heart movement", the following is a fresh story between two Zen masters: Yangshan Zen Master once asked Hong En Zen Master to say: "Why can't we know ourselves quickly?"
Zen Master Hong En replied, "Let me give you an analogy, for example, a room with six windows, a macaque in the room, jumping and jumping, and five macaques chasing orangutans from the east, west, north and south windows. The orangutan responded, like six windows, all responding. Six macaques, six orangutans, it's really not easy to quickly recognize which one is you. After hearing this, Zen Master Yangshan knew that Zen Master Hong En was saying that the six senses of our inner eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, and the six dusts, colors, sounds, fragrances, tastes, touches, and dharmas that chase the external environment, are noisy and complicated, and they are entangled with each other, like Venus mayflies in the sky, so how can we quickly know which one is the real self?
Therefore, he got up and thanked him: "The monk Shimeng gave a lecture with an analogy, and he knows everything, but if the inner macaque sleeps, the orangutans outside want to meet it, and so what?" Zen Master Hong En got off the rope bed, pulled Zen Master Yangshan, danced and said: "It's like being in a field, to prevent birds and birds from stealing the fruit of the seedlings, and erect a straw dummy. In life, there are many people whose mood is easily influenced by the outside world, and even more, they base their understanding and evaluation of themselves on the attitude of others, putting the cart before the horse. If there is an easy-to-understand aphorism to sum up Zen Master Hong'en, it is: go your own way and let others say it. When Arthur first became an officer, he was very happy. Whenever he was marching, Arthur always liked to walk at the back of the line. Once, during the march, his enemies made fun of him and said, "You see, Arthur looks like an officer, but like a herdman." ”
When Arthur heard this, he walked in the middle of the group, and his enemies mocked him, saying, "You see, Arthur is like an officer, a complete coward, and hides in the middle of the group." When Arthur heard this, he went to the front of the line again, and his enemy said: "You see, Arthur has not won a single battle with his troops, and he is not ashamed to walk proudly at the front of the line!" When Arthur heard this, he thought to himself: If you have to listen to others in everything, you won't even be able to walk. Since then, he has walked as much as he wants. "Go your own way, let others say go!" "Who can walk for you?" Who can make decisions for you? The answer, of course, is no. You have to make your own decisions about your own life, and you need to be in charge of your own destiny. People must make their own judgments according to their own hearts, and they cannot always be swayed by the circumstances of the outside world Wisdom of Life Why is it most difficult for people to recognize themselves? Mainly because their hearts are dusty.
It's like a mirror, if it's covered by dust, it can't clearly reflect the shape of the object. If the sincerity is not revealed, the delusion will become the master of the person, and he will always climb the outside world, and the heart will not rest. The human body is like a village, where the owner has been imprisoned and possessed by six other robbers and bandits (the Six Senses), who are making waves and chasing the Six Dusts, making people uneasy. Only when the mind does not move can we truly recognize ourselves, and when we encounter good times, we do not move when we encounter adversity, and we are not affected by any external influence. Most of the situation of modern people is the opposite, when they encounter good times, they are very happy, and when they encounter bad times, they are very painful, and this brings a lot of suffering. Actually, it is the same with any external environment that we encounter, and if we can understand this, we will not be tempted by the six dusts, nor will we be deceived by the six consciousnesses. The heart is pure, the Buddha's land is pure, and the stone becomes gold The Buddhist scriptures say: "A pure heart plants all virtues." "All merit comes from a pure heart. If you want to be reborn in the West, you must have a pure heart.
The Dharma of the world also depends on a pure mind. All beings in the world, if their hearts are pure, they must be filial: their hearts are not pure. Unfilial. If the heart is pure, you must respect the elder, and if the heart is not pure, you will not respect. One of the meanings of purity of mind is "unfathomable and barrier-free". It's not easy to be able to do that. Because people's state of mind is too easily disturbed by the Xibu world. Wicked people are led by ugly hearts to do bad things, and ordinary people may also fall into pain and be unable to extricate themselves because of attachment, guilt, and so on. Classic Story If a person is concerned about the things in the outside world, and as a result, he feels annoyed and happy, then the heart loses its true nature. Once upon a time, there lived an old man in the kingdom of Shewei, and he and his son depended on each other for their lives, and life was very difficult.
Later, inspired by the teachings of the Buddha, the old man became a monk with his son, and the old man became a monk and his son became a novice, and the two became master and apprentice. On this day, the old monk took the little novice out with him, and before the master and the apprentice knew it, they were getting farther and farther away, and by the time they thought about going back, it was already getting dark. The master was old and walked very slowly, so the apprentice came forward and carried the master away. It was getting darker and darker, and when they came to a wood, it was so dark that they couldn't see their fingers, and they could only hear the master and the apprentice
The Complete Collection of Buddhist Stories You Must Know_Chapter 4 Man Can Only Rely on Himself Breaking the cocoon into a butterfly must go through all the trials and turns stones into gold Before Shakyamuni attained Nirvana, he once said: "Take yourself as an island, a boat, and a beacon." It affirms the power of "self-refuge" and self-salvation. During the Buddha's lifetime, he once said that he could not save people who had no chance, and he could not change the karma of sentient beings. Therefore, when the Buddha's homeland was massacred by the neighboring King Liuli, he could not use his supernatural powers to relieve him. This is not contrary to the Buddha's ambition to purify all sentient beings. This is because the Buddha is able to enlighten sentient beings with the Dharma, so that sentient beings can cultivate themselves, accumulate blessings, eliminate disasters, and avoid difficulties.
Buddhahood for sentient beings. In fact, sentient beings are self-controlled, otherwise it violates the laws of nature and the order of cause and effect. Classic Story All external help in the world can only teach you how to walk, but it can never lend you a pair of wings to fly. There is a little story about a chrysalis in the grass that was found by a child and brought home. After a few days, a small crack appeared on the chrysalis, and the butterfly inside struggled for a long time, and its body seemed to be stuck and could not get out.
The innocent child couldn't bear to see the butterfly in the chrysalis struggling in pain. So, he took scissors and cut the hole of the chrysalis wide. In this way, the larvae inside can easily emerge from that cage without much effort. However, all the larvae that have been rescued and have seen the light of day cannot become real butterflies -- they cannot fly in any way, and can only crawl awkwardly on the ground with their wings that have lost their ability to fly! It turns out that the narrow cave like the "ghost gate" is precisely the key to helping the larva's wings grow, because this butterfly has not gone through the painful struggle that it must go through before breaking the pupae, so that after coming out of the shell, the body is bloated and the wings are shriveled, and not only can it not fly.
And died soon after. Not to mention a little boy, even the Buddha cannot give others a pair of wings to fly, because these "wings" can only become hard and mature after they have gone through hardships, and take people to fly to the sky of the future Life Wisdom Life is also a process of breaking out of the cocoon into a butterfly, in this process, no one can help you, only yourself, no one can save you, only yourself, no one can change you, only yourself. If we can face ourselves squarely, evaluate ourselves objectively and fairly, and recognize the gap between ourselves and others, instead of being pessimistic and disappointed, complaining about others, and sinking into ourselves, we will certainly be able to achieve success. The key to the Buddha's helping hand to all sentient beings who are struggling in the sea of suffering is whether people can grasp this hand and attain true liberation. If the human mind cannot get rid of evil thoughts, then even the Buddha does not have the power to save such a person. You can only continue to sink in the sea of suffering or hell.
There is a well in the Heavenly Garden. One day, the Buddha sat alone by this well. The well next to the Buddha was not an ordinary well, it was a hell, a real hell, there was no water, there was a sea of fire, a sea of fire that never ceased.
There were so many people who seemed to be densely packed there calling for help and moaning there. There was a thick-necked, large, high-pitched man who shouted the loudest, and with his eyes open, he stepped on other people's heads and bodies indiscriminately, and shouted to the Buddha: "'Save the Buddha who is suffering and save the suffering, the savior of great mercy, save me quickly, I am so miserable! Help me!" When the Buddha saw it, he recognized this man as Gandharta, who had done a lot of evil in the world. Because he kills people and sets fires, he does not do good things, but he does all the bad things, and he falls into this hell after he dies. "You Gandatta, how do you tell me to save you?? Oh, I remember, one day, you were walking on the road and you were about to step on a little spider, and you suddenly felt compassion: 'This spider is a little creature, why should I trample it to death?' This is also a small good deed, maybe you still have this little bit of kindness, right? Let's use the power of this little spider to save you from the sea of suffering!"
A long, thin, but glittering silver spider silk hung down from the only gleaming hole in the sky above Hell. As if he was caught in the sea and suddenly saw a rescue ship, he grabbed the spider silk and struggled to climb up. In order to get out of this dark hell, Gandhartha spared no effort. He climbed, climbed, he sudden
However, I felt that the spider silk was shaking very much. He looked back and saw that countless people from hell had also grabbed spider silk and followed him upward. He shouted, "Bastards, you bastards! This spider silk is mine, the result of my good karma." If you climb again, the spider silk will break, and you will not be allowed to climb, so get out of here! You bastards, scoundrels, scoundrels! You want to touch my light, don't think about it!" But, no matter how loudly Gandar shouted, there was still a crowd of black people below him vying for the spider silk to climb up. Those tense faces that seemed to explode were so ugly, desperate, painful, and deep ignorant that in the human world, they did not care about the lives of others, but only cared about themselves; now in this hell, they still care about others and only care about themselves. Such people are so ignorant that they are simply incorrigible. "You hateful things, get out of here??"
Gandhardo screamed as he pulled the knife from his waist, and with a whoosh he cut the spider silk from his feet. As they fell, they only heard a desperate wail?? Gandhardo was so happy to see that he giggled alone. At this moment, however, the spider's silk broke, and Gandardo fell down with a scream, slamming down on his fellow hellers. "Help, save me, my life is so miserable, be merciful, be compassionate?"
Gandarta's voice is still screaming, still screaming loudest. The Buddha left the well. Most of the people who have evil thoughts in their hearts have given up the chance to be saved. Wisdom of life Everyone's development and progress are inseparable from certain opportunities. The path of those who succeed also contains certain opportunities to a greater or lesser extent. But many people can't seize the opportunity and let it come and slip away.
"Nirvana Sutra" cloud: "The retribution of good and evil follows like a shadow, cause and effect in three lifetimes, and the cycle is not lost." Master Xingyun also said, "If you want to know the cause of the past life, the recipient of this life is, and if you want to know the cause of the next life, the person who does it in this life is." "Emphasizing that cause and effect are universal and cannot be viewed from one thing or one moment, even the Buddha, who has attained true dharma-nature, cannot violate the law of cause and effect.
The "Karma Chapter" in the "Complete Buddhist Stories" records the following story:
One fine morning, the monks of the Bamboo Forest Monastery had just returned from begging in the city, and they were sorting out their clothes in the squatter house, when they suddenly felt the house and the ground shaking for no reason, and as there were rumors outside that the Buddha was injured, everyone couldn't help but be stunned, and hurriedly put down their work and rushed to the Buddha's residence one after another.
The Buddha was sitting upright in the room, the wound was at his feet, the Venerable Ananda was carefully dressing and bandaging him, and a wooden stick stained with blood was lying on the ground, everyone knew that it must have been injured by the wooden stick, but they didn't understand, why a wooden stick could hurt the Buddha's body, didn't the Buddha have boundless magical powers?
The Buddha's foot injury was not light, all the disciples were guarding the side, and many people were hiding behind people and sobbing, the Buddha looked very moved in his heart, smiled and comforted them: "You don't have to worry, a little trauma will heal soon." ”
"Buddha Vajra's body is not bad, why can a wooden stick hurt it?" several disciples asked in unison.
"This is karma, and all beings who hold the four great harmony of earth, water, fire, and phoenix have this kind of suffering. It's been a long time ago......"
Speaking of this, King Ajata also heard the news and brought the famous doctor Jaiva to arrive, and the king was full of anxiety and ran to the Buddha as he ran.
"Buddha, is the injury serious?" said King Ajata's voice trembled, and his heart was very anxious.
"Nothing, don't worry!" replied the Buddha with a smile, and while asking him to sit down, he continued: "I was a merchant at the time, and once I partnered with a friend to cross the sea to do business in a foreign country, and our plan was very thoughtful and went well, so it was not long before I made a lot of money. On the way back, our ship docked at a port, which was a very prosperous city, and as soon as we got ashore, we forgot to go home, especially the beautiful women there, who bewildered my friend. Then a kind boatman told us that if we didn't leave this place, danger would come. The reason is that this place is hit by tsunamis every year, and the tsunami season is approaching, and if you don't leave, you will lose both people and money. My friend was indifferent, and it was useless for me to persuade him or scare him, for he had lost his mind and was obsessed with the city and the woman. There is one ship, and I can't forget morality and leave him alone. One night, when we were arguing about it, I fainted, so I grabbed a stick and swung it at him, and I wounded his foot.
Now, it's not hard for you to know the reason for my injury, right? If you say, will the Buddha still get hurt? No, that is the Buddha's Dharma body and reincarnation, and the body should be the same as all living beings, there are births, old age, sickness and death, and the magic power is incredible, but it is no match for karma, and if it is the cause, it should bear the effect, and the Buddha cannot violate the law of cause and effect.
The physical body of the four false unions is inherently unreal, and it is inevitable that it will become a place of bad emptiness. The Dharma nature of the Dharma is like this, and only by conforming to the Dharma nature can we be called Buddhas.
Yes, I have attained the true nature of becoming a Buddha, but now I am also a human being, born and raised by my parents, and I have the same human appearance as you. So I have to conform to human nature, joy, anger, sorrow, happiness, birth, old age, sickness, and death. In addition to the 32 aspects and 80 kinds of goodness, the Buddha's body is no different from that of sentient beings. ”
When you hear the Buddha say this, you understand the truth that karma is the most trivial. There is a Zen master who wrote two sentences for his disciples to participate in the study, and those two sentences were: "If it rains for two people, how can it be that the sky is not drenched alone." ”
When the disciples saw this topic, they began to talk about it. The first said, "Two people walked in the rain, and one man did not get rain, and that was because he was wearing a raincoat." ”
The Zen master did not comment on this explanation, but shook his head slowly.
So another disciple said, "It was a local shower, it was raining on one side and no rain on the other, and although this kind of scenery is not common, it is not uncommon. That's why the two of them walked in the rain, so that one of them couldn't get caught in the rain, and that was because he walked on the side where there was no rain. With that, he looked at the Zen master.
The Zen master remained silent.
Then the third disciple said proudly, "You are all wrong! He scoffed and continued: "It's all too far-fetched, in fact, the reason is very simple, there must be one walking under the eaves, so it didn't rain." With that, he was smug and ready to be appreciated.
The Zen master looked at him with a smile, and then said to his disciples, "You are all obsessed with the point of 'not getting drenched in one person', but you have gotten into the tip of the horns, in fact, the so-called 'not drenching one person' means that both people are drenched in the rain?"
Irisa was a wealthy man, second only to the king in wealth, but he was very ugly-looking, one-eyed, hunchbacked, lame, and miserly and greedy by nature. The seven generations of his ancestors were well-known philanthropists, but after he presided over the housekeeping, the rules completely changed, and the charity hall was converted into a warehouse, not only did not give alms to beggars, but instead added fists and kicks. All the people hated him.
One day, irisha couldn't resist the temptation of the smell of wine, bought a bottle, and hid in the woods alone to pour herself a drink.
Irisha's father was born as Shakti after his death because of his generosity in poverty. Seeing that his son was a miser, and that he had to run to a secret place to drink even a bottle of wine, he was very angry and planned to teach Arisha a lesson.
He took on the form of a man like Irisha, and while Irisha was drinking in the woods, he went into the palace to meet the king and told him that he was going to give to the poor. The king praised him greatly.
When Elisha returned home, he opened his storehouse and gave alms, and all those who had heard the news returned with a full load. Everyone in the family was amazed: how did the usually stingy Arisha suddenly change?
Shin Irisa got drunk and staggered home, but saw a lot of people queuing at the door, each with bags and baskets in their hands, very excited. Irisha was puzzled and asked, "What are you doing here?"
When she asked, Irisa nearly fainted. When he saw people carrying away baskets of his belongings, he hurriedly stopped him and said, "You robbers, how can you let you take away my belongings as you please?"
When the people heard him scolding, they beat him severely. Elisha also woke up and crawled to the door, but the gatekeeper would not let him in. Because of her insulting words, Irisa was beaten with a wooden stick.
There was no way to do it, so Irisa went to the king to complain and ask the king to take a look.
The king sent for Irisha's family and the false Irisha, and they couldn't tell which one was the real Irisha, but they were willing to recognize the generous false Irisa as their master. Irisa was so anxious that she fainted on the spot.
At this time, the false Irisha regained his original appearance and said to the king, "I am not Irisha, I am Shakti." After awakening Irisha, Shakti said to him, "Irisha! I am your father, and the property of the family is mine, not yours. I was born as Shakti because of the good deeds of charity, but you are insatiable, banishing beggars and breaking the rules of the house. From this day onwards, restore the charity hall and give to the poor, or I will bring your possessions to naught. ”
Irisha finally came to her senses, and from then on she did good deeds, kept the precepts, and was later born in the heavenly realm. After telling this story, the Buddha concluded, "The one who became Irisha is my predecessor."
