See Chapter 3
1.2. Soul Monster: The new version of the monster card has a soul written on the surface, and the old version of the monster card with a soul in the effect description area. The monster cannot be summoned with a special move, and will return to the hand at the end of the turn when the normal summon or reverse summon is made.
1.3. Double Monster: There is a double on the card face. It can be used as a normal monster on the field (without double summoning) and in the graveyard, and can be used as a second normal summon to make it have an effect.
1.4. Cartoon Monsters: Cartoons are written on the card surface. The series of decks used by Becas in the anime. Possess the ability to directly attack the opposing player when there is a cartoon world on the field and the opponent does not have a cartoon monster. Cartoon monsters are divided into three types, the first type of cartoon monsters need to exist in the cartoon world on the field to summon or special moves, the second type does not need to, however, when the cartoon world is destroyed, it will also break the monster itself (the same is true for the first type), and the third type does not need the cartoon world to summon or special moves, and the cartoon world will not destroy itself.
1.5. Alliance Monster: The card has an alliance written on it. A series in which you can equip specific monsters (as equipment magic cards) to give them special abilities. Some allied monsters can be specially summoned back from the Magic Trap area to be used as monsters.
1.6. Ritual Monsters: The card face is blue. Exclusive Ritual Magic Cards and sacrifices are required to bring Ritual Monsters to descend.
Ritual Call:
Ritual Magic Cards and Ritual Monsters are activated when they are in your hand at the same time, and according to the text description on the Ritual Magic Card, you can sacrifice a Ritual Monster of the level or higher that needs to be summoned by the Ritual Monster from your hand or field (1 or more is required, and the cards on the field and hand can be combined).
2. Monster cards in extra areas: According to the rules, the following additional monster numbers can be placed in additional areas 0-15. None of the following monsters can be placed in the main deck, and will need to be placed in an extra area.
2.1. Fusion Monster: A card with a purple card face. Summoned by the fusion of the specific monster marked in the intelligence bar and the fusion magic card, the marked monster is called the fusion material.
Fusion Summoning:
(1) Fusion Materials are used to activate the Fusion Card when all the cards in your hand and on the field are collected (there are also some special Fusion Magic Cards, which can be summoned by Fusion according to the effect). The Fusion Card after the announcement is activated is placed in the Magic Trap area.
(2) After confirming that the fusion is activated and the effect is effective, after sending the fusion material to the graveyard, find the corresponding fusion monster frontal attack indication or frontal defense indication in the fusion deck. Finally, the fusion is sent to the cemetery. Fusion summoning ends.
(3) If you want to use a fusion monster, place the back of the fusion deck upwards in the fusion area before the duel starts, and do not check with each other.
Fusion summoning is a formal means of fusing monster summoning, and there are also cases where the special summoning of the effect of the card is regarded as fusion summoning (such as simple fusion), and there are many fusion monsters that belong to contact fusion (no fusion magic card is required, and fusion is carried out according to the requirements of fusion monsters).
Note: Fusion summoning materials can be placed on the front or on the cover.
2.2. Homophonic Monsters: Cards with white card faces. Harmonic summoning is a summoning method that adds levels.
Call to the Same Tone:
(1) Harmonic summoning is to send one adjustment monster on the field (two double tonality to two) + one or more non-adjustment to the graveyard (not part of destruction) from the extra deck to summon a tonality monster (first priority to meet the summoning conditions, quantity, race, etc., and then the level is added to equal to the level of the tonal monster that needs to be summoned, one more star or one less star, no).
Note: Some cohomology monsters need to be co-tuned - adjust the monster to be in tune, which is called accelerated co-tuning, and the same as co-tuning summoning, the difference is the material requirements. The material for the Call of Harmony must be represented on the front of the field.
2.3. Excess Monsters: Monster cards with black card faces. The stars on the card face are reversed from the normal monster cards (the same as the dark homotonic monsters that appear in the Yu-Gi-Oh 5DS anime), and they are no longer called levels, but levels (cards such as level limit B cannot be suppressed, and they belong to non-level monsters).
Oversummoning:
(1) If there are 2 or more monsters of the same level on the field, the monsters of the same level can be stacked as excess materials to summon the monsters.
Note: The summoning material of the oversummoning is placed under the oversumed monster, and it is not considered to leave the cemetery without entering the graveyard, and the area of the oversuming material is called the unknown area. Some oversized monsters need oversized monsters + oversized monsters to stack, and oversized summoning is carried out according to the requirements of the card materials. Oversummoning materials must be frontally represented on the field.
2.4. Pendulum Monster: The card face is a monster card with the color of the magic card in the lower half, and the card surface has an area with a pendulum logo of blue on the left and red on the right. When the pendulum monster is placed as a pendulum (cannot be covered), it is activated as a magic activation, and the effect in the pendulum logo is activated, which is also used as a magic card effect. When the pendulum monster leaves the field, the rules are to enter the graveyard first, and then return to the front of the extra deck to indicate placement (directly omitting the entry into the graveyard link when playing the game, if there are no other factors (except for cards that will enter the graveyard such as dimensional rifts on the field), they will be placed directly in the extra).
Pendulum Summons:
(1) The summoner needs to have two pendulum cards on the field, and can choose a special summon of a monster (belonging to a special summon) within the range of any scale (the number next to the pendulum logo) (such as 1 and 8 scales, which can summon 2-7 level monsters) from the hand and the extra table side of the pendulum monster. The pendulum monsters are more diversified, with fusion pendulums, excess pendulums, homotonous pendulums, etc., among which the fusion pendulum and the homotonous pendulum have levels, so they can be directly brought to the field from the extra special moves, while the excess monsters can't (some cards will be used as a level and can be used for special moves).
(2) The pendulum monster on the extra table side cannot be used again by summoning the monster's fusion, harmony, overdose, etc., and can only be summoned again by summoning the pendulum.
Pendulum area:
(1) The Pendulum Monster Card in Master Rule 3 has a special Pendulum area. In the new Master Rule (commonly known as Master Rule 4), the pendulum area has been moved to the far left and right of the magic and trap areas (which can be used to place or override normal magic traps when no pendulum cards need to be placed)
Note: Pendulum summoning can only be done once per turn, monsters summoned from the extra pendulum can only occupy additional area slots, and hand pendulum summoning can be used anywhere.
2.5. Connecting Monsters: The card face is a dark blue hexagonal monster card connected to each other. There is no level and defense on the card surface, and the defense position is marked with the number of connections.
Connection Call:
(1) Send 1 or more monsters on the field to the graveyard and summon the connected monster from the extra link. Limit the race, name, type, number, etc. of the priority text description. Then the number of connection identities is satisfied. Connected monsters can also be used as connection materials, and can be directly connected to the accumulation of logos (for example, the barrel dragon of the loading gun, the requirement is more than 3 effect monsters, the connection logo is 4, first meet the effect monster 3, and then meet the connection mark 4, a monster other than the connection monster The default connection material identification is 1, so this monster can directly use 3 effect monsters + 1 any monster to connect and summon, not more than connection 4, or directly connect to the effect monster with the identification of 2 plus two effect monsters without the logo for connection summoning, When the connection symbol is exceeded, the connection monster can only be used as connection 1 when it is used as an asset, and when the firewall dragon (connection symbol 4) and other monsters are added to connect to summon the barrel dragon, it can only be used as connection 1. )
Note: In the new master rules, there are two additional monster areas on the field, one for each side by default, and you can choose at will. Only one additional monster can be created. Connected monsters, on the other hand, have an arrow marker, which can be used to open additional areas. Used for multiple unfolding. The connection state and connection area are the areas where the arrows point to the existence of monsters, and the mutual connection is the area where the arrows of the connected monsters point to each other, and the interconnection can be connected to each other from one of the two default areas to the other area, so as to open the other party's additional area, at this time, the area can be used by yourself (suppressing the opposite side can not produce additional monsters), so now the limit of the monster area is 7. The material that connects the summon must be represented on the front of the field. And the connected monster has no defense, so the rules can't be defended, and cards such as the Book of the Moon can't be activated accordingly.
Terminology: The spirit pendulum summon is called P summoning, and the connection summoning is called LINK summoning. Special summons other than pendulum summoning can be performed at any time in one turn.
