Chapter 404: The Great War Is About to Begin (22)
The great power of the Daomen is due to the accumulation of thousands of years.
Righteousness must follow the precepts, so Taishang said in the Vipassana Sutra: "Those who have a heart are forbidden." The lord of one body, forbids the form of the gods, so that there is no evil. Bai Yu Chan Zhenren said in the "Nine Essentials of the Dao Law": "Those who practice the husband should practice the Tao and the precepts."
The only one who knows the end of the two words can hold it. Learn to observe fasting first, and the gods will naturally assist. Sha Zhenyun: The Tao is not idle in the body, and it is chilling to think about the precepts. The thousand-year-old iron tree is easy to bloom, and it is difficult to be born once it is drunk.
Don't you hear that the real person burned the temple of the caracal, and its god secretly followed the left and right, after 12 years, the real person did not have the slightest violation of the precepts, and its god was converted to an auxiliary general. If a true person breaks the vows, his god will take revenge. "Sa Shoujian Zhenren has not violated the slightest precept for 12 years, and the strictness of his precepts and the purity of his heart can be imagined. Those who practice the Tao must further their studies in the Tao and not invade the evil delusion, and they must first establish a firm foothold in the precepts.
Mr. Wang Weiyi said in "The Heart of the Dao Law": "If the husband holds the Dao Dharma, he should first take the ten precepts. Daily use, nothing to owe. It can help the poor and help the suffering, accumulate meritorious deeds, naturally move the heavens and the earth, the gods and ghosts are ambushed, the thunder is served, and the wind and rain are called.
Today, there is a first-class post-learning, who does not hold the precepts, does not distinguish between evil and righteousness, clings to the mud image, and thinks wildly. The spirit of the occasional moment is already complacent, and it is not even what the spirit is, so that evil summons evil, and evil spirits summon demons. ”
He also listed the ten precepts that practitioners should follow in his "Diagram of Practicing the Precepts": "One is to be loyal and filial, the second is to be benevolent and righteous, the third is not to kill, the fourth is not to steal, the fifth is not to be fornicated, the sixth is not greedy, the seventh is not jealous, the eighth is not hateful, the ninth is not cursed, and the tenth is not arrogant." ”
Those who practice the Tao follow the precepts with a righteous heart, are frank and swaying in the daily use of ethics, look up to the sky, bow down to the ground, and naturally have righteousness, and the ghosts and gods are admired. Otherwise, "if we are full of delusions, what will the Tao do?" and in the end, we will inevitably suffer the evil consequences of "summoning evil with evil and summoning evil with ghosts."
Mr. Huang Yuanji said: "If the husband is the same as the sky and the people, my heart is right, the heart of heaven and earth is also right, and my heart is smooth, and if my qi is smooth, the qi of heaven and earth is also smooth, such as the sound of the valley, such as the shadow of the moon, natural inspiration, no need to have a heart for it." Mencius said: "The husband and the gentleman are transformed into gods, and the upper and lower flow with heaven and earth", which is precisely the fruitful fruit of the work of "righteous heart", and it is also the clear proof of the "righteous heart to reach the way" of those who practice the way.
Taishang said: Qingjing thinks that the world is right. If "righteousness to reach the Tao" is the kung fu of going to school, then "meditation to return to the Tao" is the key to returning to the truth for the world. Taoism is based on the tenet of "returning to simplicity and returning to the basics". "Returning to simplicity and returning to the basics" requires us to sweep away the distracting thoughts and delusions in our hearts and meditate to return to the Tao.
Taishang Laozi said: "In the final analysis, it is said to be quiet, which is to return to life." Daozu regards "quietness" as the root of life, and "meditation" can "return to the root" and "return to the Tao". Patriarch Chongyang said: People's hearts are always allowed to be quiet, which is a real shortcut to practice.
The "Jing Jing Sutra" says: "The heart is quiet, and the desire to lead it." In other words, people's hearts are not quiet, and in the final analysis, it is the desire in the heart that cannot be eliminated. The ancients said, "The desire of the heart is desire". If it cannot be eliminated in time, it will be allowed to grow secretly, so that it will cause irreparable consequences.
Jin Zhenren once admonished: "The heart is pure and the heart is quiet on the road to heaven, and the mind is chaotic and the heart is deserted at the gate of hell"; only when the heart is clear and quiet, can the spirit and spirit be calm. Mr. Huang Yuanji said well: "If mortals want to be together, they must seek to fulfill their wishes and then be happy." Even if everything is as desired, the desire is insatiable, the greed is insatiable, the longing is long, the tossing and turning, the one who has the world loses the world, and the one who has the life will not lose his life?"
From the life of the family to the country of the world, endless disasters are all caused by the desire of a single thought. Looking at the past and present, the history of the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty may give us some enlightenment.
Tang Taizong had a deep understanding of the harm of "the desire of one thought". When he talked about the lessons of the fall of the Sui Dynasty to the courtiers, he said: "In the past, at the beginning of the Ping Jingshi, the beauties in the palace were treasured, and there was no dissatisfaction. Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty was still insufficient, and he had no choice but to solicit it. He also fought in the east and west, and the people were unbearable, so they perished.
That's what I've seen. Therefore, I worked hard all night, but I wanted to be quiet, so that there was nothing to do in the world. As a result, the conscription was not prosperous, the grain was abundant, and the people were happy. The rule of the husband is like planting a tree, and if the roots are not shaken, the branches and leaves will be flourishing. If you can be quiet, why should the people be uneasy and happy?"
But he was blind to the desires of a thought, indulging in greed, "driving the world to obey desires, exhausting all things to self-worship, picking up the children in the domain, seeking the strangeness of the distance." The palace is decorated, and the pavilion is worshipped", which eventually led to the catastrophe of "losing the world and losing one's life".
Tang Taizong restrained his desires, was quiet and had nothing to do, the four seas were peaceful, and the world was under great rule. The ancients said: The difference between saints and madness depends on one thought. The holy mind is mad, and the mad mind is holy. Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty and Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty provided vivid examples of this. Tang Taizong also said that "governing the country is like planting trees".
He believes that if you want to "flourish with branches and leaves", you must "not shake your roots." Actually, the "root" is the "one thought." "The root is not shaken", that is, "a thought is quiet". This is very consistent with Taishang Laozi's teaching of "returning to the root and saying quiet". Mr. Huang Yuanji said: "Gains and losses are only in one thought. It is difficult to return to a thought, and it becomes a catastrophe. This reckless thought has led to a catastrophe. Survival is a matter of survival. A few Hikbao, set the beginning of the Hongtu.
This thought is based on the creation of infinite blessings. In this way, we know that the desire of a thought, although its beginning is small, its end is great, but it can be careless!" Although "catastrophe" and "infinite blessing" seem to be diametrically opposed, the beginning of the two is the same, and both come from the desire of a thought.
The desire of a thought is activated, but it is ignorant, ignorant, and unaware, and it is allowed to go freely, and the "catastrophe of the heavens" is caused; the desire of a thought is launched, and it is clear and clear, and it is not ambiguous, and it is resolute and resolute, and it is completely swept away, and the "infinite blessing" is thus cultivated. It can be seen that the survival of blessings and disasters is nothing more than a thought.
Meditation to return to the Tao requires us to carefully observe the subtleties of a thought, and eliminate all desires for admiration, fame, fortune, and wealth when they are just germinated, so that the six desires are not born and the mind is pure. The Sutra of Tranquility says: "It is always possible to send its desires and calm its mind." ”
Li Daochun Zhenren said: "People who have the Tao often use the Tao to control their desires, not to control the Tao with their desires." Controlling desires with Taoism, God is so pure, and the heart is so quiet. Li Daochun summed up "meditation" as "controlling desire with Taoism". He believes that "if you can always control your desires, you will return to your heart without moving, and if you return to your heart without moving, you will be naturally clear and clear, and you will never be pure, and you will return to your original nature, and you will be quiet, so what is your desire?"
He believes that only by constantly restraining desires can we restrain the "heart ape and horse" and return to the realm of "not moving the heart". Returning to the realm of "unmoved" can restore the original and quiet original appearance.
There are many ways to practice "controlling desires with the Tao", the most well-known of which is meditation. Meditation is almost synonymous with monasticism in the eyes of ordinary people. This view, while not entirely accurate, reflects the close connection between meditation and monasticism.
Zhang Yuchu, the forty-third generation of the Heavenly Master, said in the "Ten Rules of the Daomen": "Since ancient times, the Taishang has manifested the tribulations, and the cultivation and enlightenment of all teachers are all from the work of meditation. Through the teachings of the Emperor of the Mountains, the importance of meditation to the path of monasticism was revealed.
Master Zhang Yuchu also clearly pointed out: "Sitting in silence is the foundation of entering the Tao." Gai Tai is teaching people, and he is detached from illusion and understanding life and death. If it is not the original and the life, then what is the so-called person who learns the Tao. ”。
However, in the eyes of the people in the Taoist sect, meditation is to control desire. Regarding the stubbornness of ordinary people towards the form of meditation, Wang Chongyang Zhenren once distinguished between true meditation and false meditation in the "Fifteen Treatises on the Establishment of Chongyang Teaching". He said, "Anyone who meditates is sitting on a false sitting.
Those who really sit must live and sit in the middle of all movement and stillness at 12 hours, their hearts are like Mount Tai, they do not move or waver, and they cut off their eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, and do not let the outside scene enter, but there is the slightest movement and quiet thoughts, that is, they do not meditate. Chongyang Zhenren regards the meditation of "being upright and keeping eyes closed" as "fake sitting".
In his view, simply sticking to the form of meditation may miss the interest of meditation in "controlling desire with Taoism". "Real sitting" is not formal, but runs through all aspects of daily life such as "living, traveling, sitting and lying", and the key is to "cut off the four eyes, ears, mouth and nose, and not let the exterior scene enter", that is, to "control desire with Taoism". Because the external five colors, five tones and five flavors will make people blind and deaf, only by practicing the meditation essence of "controlling desire with the Tao" can we achieve the realm of "the heart is like Mount Tai, immovable and unshakable", and then enter the truth.
Wang Changyue Zhenren even put forward the monastic method of "first dying delusional heart and then entering the circle, first falling in love and then meditating", that is, in view of the fact that later generations of people are obsessed with entering the circle and meditating, and ignoring the meditation purpose of "controlling desire with the Tao".
He once asked his disciples to keep the precepts: "From today onwards, we must put away the lead, mercury, dragon and tiger, yin and yang smelting, and all kinds of metaphors that we are obsessed with on a daily basis." Only follow the pure method, die of delusion, stop evil thoughts, be calm and steady, and go up the middle road. In Wang Changyue's view, if people can't control their desires with the Tao and give up their delusions to return to the truth, they can't enter the realm of wisdom.
Therefore, if you don't have a love relationship, you will enter the circle and meditate, but you are actually sitting on an empty futon and practicing blindly. He earnestly admonished the future students: "If we don't die first and calm our minds, how can we be calm? If we can't be always clear and quiet, how can we be in concentration? If we can't be in concentration, how can we be wise?"
Through the teachings of our patriarchs, we can truly understand that the key to meditation is to restrain selfish desires and break off love. If you can "meditate", you will naturally be able to "return to the Tao". In the final analysis, it is actually the natural result of the purification of selfish desires and the severance of love.
Controlling desires and breaking ties requires the support of appropriate monastic methods, the most important of which is meditation. However, on the one hand, we must practice appropriate methods of cultivation, and on the other hand, we must not be preoccupied by the "law" and put the cart before the horse, so that "law enforcement becomes ill", but we forget the original intention of "using the Tao to control desires".
In the process of cultivating the Tao, if "meditating the mind to return to the Tao" is the work of returning to the roots, then "sincerely understanding the Tao" is the wonderful use of the essence of the mind. Sincerity comes from true innocence and tranquility, and sincerity can create true nature and true spirits, and the ancestors of Taoism also called "true heart" true meaning.
Mr. Huang Yuanji said: "Those who have true intentions are the key to alchemy. However, at the beginning of the opening of the entrance, we recognized this true meaning, so we returned to it, and learned from Yanziquan to obey it.
What is revealed by the Yuan Shen is the true meaning, that is, a goodness, that is, the way to get everything done. Scholars recognize that the foundation of Dadan is clear. From Mr. Huang Yuanji's words, we can realize that the true meaning comes from the original spirit, that is, the essence of the mind, which is the key and fundamental of the path.
However, "true meaning" is different from what is commonly referred to as consciousness. The Singing of the Mantra has a detailed description of the important role of "true meaning" in the whole process of monasticism. The book says: "The general meaning is not the intention, and the wandering is also delusional." The intention is indeed from the heart, and the intention is empty. Therefore, it is said that it is intentional if it is unintentional.
At the beginning of the Yang Sheng, the meaning is also; after the birth, take the Yuan Yang, the meaning also; after the collection, the meeting with the Shenfang, the meaning also; after the meeting, send it to the Yellow Court, the meaning also. The meaning is to use the great! Not here, the yang god is out, the meaning is also; after the outing, with the void to resist the wind, the meaning is also; the emperor is in the hometown, back to the god room, the meaning is also. In the book, ordinary people's consciousness is clearly regarded as "general meaning, wandering delusion", so as to distinguish it from "true meaning".
The book profoundly reveals that the true meaning must come from the depths of the heart, without the slightest entanglement, and that things should be done, and they will be empty when they move, and they will not stagnate in the chest.
Regarding the wonderful use of true meaning, Wu Chongxu Zhenren used the phrase "looking back at the inner light" to explain it. Wu Chongxu said: "Looking back at the inner light, that is, the wonderful use of the true meaning." Cover the Yuan Shen does not move as the body, the true meaning is used for the sense, the true meaning of the Yuan Shen is also a thing, the Yuan Shen can also be spoken, and the true meaning can also be spoken.
Therefore, the true meaning is the enlightenment in the void, and the so-called subtle meaning of mutual knowledge is also. Those who look back at the inside return to their true meaning of galloping outside, in order to look at the inside. When refining, the true intention is contemplated in the 100 days of refining, when refining the qi, the true intention is contemplated in the October of the refining of the qi, and when the god is refined, the true intention is contemplated in the three years of refining the god. The purpose of this return to the inner light is also. ”
Wu Zhenren defined the immovable primordial spirit as the essence of the mind, defined the true meaning of sensibility as the wonderful use of the self-mind, and regarded the true meaning of the primordial spirit as two sides of the same thing. He also pointed out that the subtlety of true meaning is presented as the work of looking back at the interior. The work of looking back at the inner light is to retract the thoughts of the mind that are galloping through the voice, so that the mind can return to itself to observe the subtle changes in life itself.
Based on what the patriarchs said, we can see that the true meaning is to understand the rhythm of the "Tao" in terms of "life itself". The difference between true meaning and general meaning is that true meaning is no longer like "general meaning", always galloping outward and following the voice, but to return to oneself and life itself.
The Void Jing Heavenly Master said in "Song of the Great Dao": "Don't leave a thing to the spiritual platform, the thing is unclear in your heart, and the true essence is dissipated and your muscles and bones are damaged. Sanmao Zhenjun also said: "The Lingtai is as clean as a curling stone, and only the Yuan Shen is allowed to live inside." If you leave one thing in it, your life will not be empty. "Both the Void Jing Heavenly Master and the Sanmao True Monarch said that the heart (Lingtai) cannot be stagnant, in fact, it is emphasizing that the mind cannot have the slightest climb outward. Only by holding the Three Jewels of Ears, Eyes, and Mouth can a cultivator's mind be attached to the reality of his own life.
"True Meaning" is not only a program that runs through the entire monastic process, but also a pivot for various Taoist methods to play a role. The poem of the Xujing Heavenly Master said: "The true heart moves everywhere and the thunder machine is combined, and the gods are more wonderful." Only this is more indistinguishable, such as magnetic magnetism does not contradict each other. The metaphor of "like magnetism and iron" in the poem reveals that although the Tao is ever-changing, its essence is not separated from "the combination of heaven and man". The cardinal of "heaven and man" is "true meaning".
Therefore, Li Shaowei said: "The charmer, the yin and yang are also combined, but the most sincere people in the world can use it." If you are not sincere, you will not be able to do it. Only in the state of "true intention" can a cultivator "merge with the essence of heaven and earth and the essence of all things in heaven and earth, and with my god, merge with the god of heaven and earth and all things." The essence is kneaded, and the gods depend on each other, so the fake size of the paper is used to call on the ghosts and gods, and the ghosts and gods have to be right. ”
The paper, cinnabar and other things borrowed from the Daomen rune are just a kind of appearance, and the essence of the rune is the role of true intention to guide the essence.
Li Shaowei said: "Cure the disease with a charm." Fu, Zhu Mo'er, how can he be self-spiritual. The one who is the soul is my true Qi. Therefore, it is said: Fu has no positive shape, and Qi is the spirit. Those who know this can make things good, and mud pills and decayed grass can also help people. ”
Li Shaowei also briefly described the entire process of practicing the Dao Method. He said: "Those who are able to understand the three talents have one ear." The sky runs with Qi, the earth happens with Qi, Yin and Yang are miserable with Qi, and wind and thunder are born with Qi. Qi is dominated by people, can't think of it from the outside, can't think of it from the inside, and is bent on making peace, and returning to the roots.
Walking, living, sitting and lying, as if it exists, in order to support its majesty. If it is applied to the law, it will be combined with the creation of heaven and earth with my true qi. Therefore, shh The 16 characters of "I can't think of it from the outside, I can't think of it from the inside, I can't think of it from the outside, I can't think of it from the inside, I am determined to make peace, and I return to my destiny in the end" describes the state of the practitioner when he is in the "true intention"; "he who walks and sits and sits down, and he who survives as if he exists, so as to nourish his majesty" is the work of cultivating the "true intention" in his daily routine; after that, "the creation of heaven and earth with my true qi" is the work of "heaven and man together" with "true intention" as the hub. As for "using the generals, the original spirit is self-spirited, and the evil is controlled by the ghosts and demons, penetrating the heavens and the earth, and changing in a thousand ways", it is the true effect of the Tao.
Every word is the true language of the people who have come over, and it is worthy of deep appreciation by future generations. Zhang Yuhu has a poem that conveys the nobility and detachment of a Taoist person's "sincerity and knowledge", which is recorded below for everyone to read.
His word cloud of "Nian Nujiao: Through the Dongting": The green grass in the Dongting is near, and there is no wind at all. Yujian Qiongtian is 30,000 hectares, and I have a piece of a boat. The moon is divided, the bright river is mirrored, and the surface and the inside are clear. You will be careful, and it is difficult to talk to you.
Ying Nian Ling table has been going on for years, the lonely light shines on itself, and the liver and gallbladder are ice and snow. Short hair, sparse sleeves, cold sleeves, steady and wide. As far as the West River goes, the Beidou is carefully poured, and Vientiane is the guest. Knock on the side and howl alone, I don't know what day it is!
The Great Dao is based on nothingness, while the Path of Cultivation is based on humility. The ancients said: The road is not far from people, people come from afar. People are blinded by seven emotions and six desires, so they stay away from the Tao and wander through life and death. Therefore, Taishang said in the "Vipassana Sutra": "Therefore, if you are humble in your words, you can also send in fact." The "reality" here refers to the seven emotions and six desires of human beings and the various kinds of knowledge that accompany them.
Therefore, Taishang taught and learned: "People can always purify their hearts, and then the Tao will come and live." If the Tao comes from the dwelling, the gods exist. In other words, a person's heart is like a house, and as long as the house is cleaned, the Tao will automatically come to live in it. If the house is dirty, no matter how ornate the exterior of the house is, the Tao will not come to settle down.
Therefore, Taishang said, "Those who are also Taoists should not be obtained by word of mouth." When you are humble and calm, the way will come naturally. The fool does not know, but he works his form, suffers his heart, serves his will, and is irritated by his spirit, and the farther the way, the more sad God becomes. Backslidden to seek the way, complaining about unkindness. The fools do not do the fundamental work of "sweeping the dust and removing the dirt" on the ground, and they are busy in the rolling red dust all day long in the hope of attaining the Tao, and the result is painstaking anxiety and in vain. The reason for this is that "backsliding" and losing the roots.
Mr. Huang Yuanji said: "Taoism always cultivates. Only with nothingness as the sect. The Origin of the Heavenly King's Road is void and natural, which is this meaning. From the virtual to the real is the true, and from the non-existent is the real being. If it is not void or nothing, not only will the seven emotions and six desires suffocate the true spirit body, but it will not be able to respond to everything and turn into a yang god.
That is, when you look at the emptiness, you have a little forbearance and perseverance, and you also govern your heart with your heart, and you will hide your original face. In short, the body of the void is the body of the Tao, and the use of the Tao of the Peacemaker. People can be like this, and there are a few ways to do it. ”
Mr. Huang Yuanji pointed out that not only the "seven emotions and six desires" will suffocate the essence of the mind, but also in the process of "observing the emptiness", as long as there is a little forbearance, it will also obscure the essence of the mind. Because the popularity of life has a natural rhythm, it is born and organized. To contemplate the Tao is to realize the nature of life.
If it is intentional, it is to add its own meaning to the life of life in a living and orderly manner, just like adding a few wisps of clouds above the void, but losing the original face of the void and emptiness of the life itself. Therefore, to be humble is to return to the most authentic nature. The whole process of cultivation is to teach the Tao naturally, and deliberately artificially it is like painting a snake to add to it.
The true way of life is contained in the vacuum of nothingness. The thirty generations of Heavenly Master Xujing Zhenjun once wrote "Void Song" and said: Originally, the true nature is the same as the void, bright and bright without dimness, and occasionally because of a thought, he is confused by life and death.
And said: Knowing the vacuum is not ambiguous, the mayor of the town has been there throughout the ages. ...... Vacuum news is not stubborn, vertical and horizontal changes are endless. Chongyang Zhenren also said: The void reflects the shadow of nothingness, and the vacuum is not empty.
Zhang Boduanzhen said in "Enlightenment of Truth": The Tao is born from nothingness, and it produces yin and yang from one qi, and yin and yang are then combined into three bodies, and the three rebirth all things are prosperous. The innate qi comes from nothingness, and the changes of yin and yang run in nothingness, so that all things can be born and prosper. Cultivators take the pure void as the body, and the natural innate qi comes from nothingness, and the chaos does not disperse, the water and fire are self-helping, the gold and wood are merged and self-merged, and the avenue can be achieved by itself.
Compassion and righteousness should be cultivated in the mind, meditation and humility are important in the clear mind, the cultivation of the heart and the clear heart are not separated from the true heart, and the body where the clear heart is clear and clear. As far as life is concerned, the effort of cultivating the mind and clarifying the mind must ultimately be implemented in the realization and practice of life.
Taishang said in the Vipassana Sutra: "The Tao is based on the heart, and the heart is clear by the Tao." If the heart is clear, the road will descend, and the road will be clear. "There is no difference between the heart and the Tao. To cultivate the mind to understand the way is to work on the earth of the heavenly heart and to achieve the truth. Heartfelt efforts must be effective in the daily use of human beings.
Mr. Liu Yuzhen said: "If there is heaven in the heart, reason is also." It is said that if a person can respect his parents, he is not ignorant of this truth, does not forget where he came from, and knows the origin. That is to say, the Tao is in the heart, and the heart has its own heavenly principles, and the heavenly principles are ultimately reflected in the specific details of life. Hu Huichao said: "Loyalty and filial piety are established, every inch is pure, the four beauties are ready, the gods are gradually psychic, there is no need to cultivate, and the Tao is natural." ”
The reality of life is true!
?? During the reign of Tang Yizong, there was a Longquan Mountain a hundred miles away from the capital, and there was a mountain spring called "Longquan" on the mountain. On this day, a group of Taoist priests suddenly came to Longquan Mountain, headed by a Taoist chief who was about forty years old, and his law name was "Tianyuan".
?? Soon after the Taoist chief came to Longquan Mountain, he began to build a Taoist temple. He not only built the Taoist temple next to Longquan, but also built a large pond downstream of Longquan. In order to complete the Taoist temple as soon as possible, the Taoist chief of Tianyuan also deliberately divided the craftsmen into two groups to work day and night, so it took less than a year for the Taoist temple called "Wolong Temple" to be built.
?? In the evening of this day, stonemason Liu Datou was mining stones on the mountain with his apprentice Ma Ermao, when he saw several small Taoist priests driving four large carriages covered with black cloth into the Wolong Temple. Ma Ermao asked in confusion: "Master, what is it in that carriage? ”
?? Liu Datou said jokingly: "Maybe that Taoist is an old man, don't look at pretending to be during the day, and let the apprentices go outside to pick up the flower girl at night for their own lewd pleasure." Ma Ermao listened to it with joy, but he had already made up his mind in his heart, and was ready to climb over the wall to Wolongguan at night to see what was going on.
?? After dinner, Liu Datou, who was tired all day, fell asleep snoring. Ma Ermao crept up from the bed, slipped out of the house, trotted on the familiar mountain road, and after a while, he was already standing outside the courtyard wall of Wolongguan. He heard someone talking about something inside the wall, and when he listened closely, it turned out that the little Taoist priests were talking about how to release the dragon into the pool. Ma Ermao was interested in hearing this, and wanted to see what the dragon looked like.
?? He climbed to a big tree in three or two clicks, and saw a dozen little Taoist priests holding torches and driving away four monsters four or five meters long with iron rods. Ma Ermao had never seen those monsters, but judging from the shape of the monsters' bodies, they were really very similar to the legendary dragons.
?? At this moment, one of the dragons seemed to be annoyed by the iron rod in the hands of the little Taoists, and suddenly opened its bloody mouth and pounced on a little Taoist, fortunately there were ropes tied to the monster's body, and the little Taoists next to him were busy pulling the ropes hard, which subdued the crazy dragon. Ma Ermao sat on the treetops and watched in horror, he accidentally fell from the tree, and then crawled to escape from Wolongguan.
?? The next morning, Liu Datou took Ma Ermao up the mountain to work. Liu Datou looked at Ma Ermao, who was limping and his face was bruised, and asked, "What did you do last night? Why did you fall like this?" ”
?? Ma Ermao was afraid of being scolded by the master, so he said in a whisper: "I, I'll go to the town below the mountain to look for the girl...... I accidentally fell into a ditch on the road. Liu Datou knew that the girl Ma Ermao was talking about was a few secret prostitute sisters in the town who sold prostitution.
?? At noon, Liu Datou carried a water jar to the mountain stream next to him to get water to drink, but at the edge of the stream, Liu Datou suddenly found one of Ma Ermao's straw sandals.
?? Coming back from the mountain stream, Liu Datou threw the straw sandals he picked up in front of Ma Ermao, and said with a calm face: "Didn't you go to the town to look for the girl last night, why did your shoes appear by the stream?"
?? Ma Ermao saw that the matter could no longer be hidden, so he told Liu Datou the truth one by one. Ma Ermao said: "Master, there are really four dragons in the Wolong Temple. But it looks like they're all evil dragons, so what can I do?"
?? Liu Datou was silent for a while, and then said: "When I was a child, I heard the old people in the village tell the story of the 'dragon spring' on the mountain. It is said that many years ago, our area was plain and there were no mountains. One day, an evil dragon descended from the sky and came here. The dragon did everything it could, not only eating all the wild animals in the vicinity, but also the livestock that the people relied on for their livelihood. Eventually, the dragon will eat the people in the vicinity. Fortunately, at this time, there was a wandering immortal passing here, and after a vicious battle, the immortal finally subdued the evil dragon, and moved a mountain to press on the evil dragon's body, so that the evil dragon could never turn over. The evil dragon who was crushed under the mountain finally shed tears of repentance, and the tears flowed more and more into Longquan, and the mountain was named Longquan Mountain from then on...... Now that there are four evil dragons at once, I really don't know what will happen!"
?? Ma Ermao was fascinated by what he heard, and hurriedly asked: "Then what should we do now?" Liu Datou sighed and said: "It's a blessing or a curse, it's a disaster that can't be avoided, let's be careful." ”
?? One day two months later, Ma Ermao drove the donkey to the bottom of the mountain to transport the stones, the donkey carried the stones in front, and Ma Ermao held a leather whip behind. While passing a small river, a huge wave suddenly rose on the calm water, and a huge dragon head suddenly emerged from the water and bit the donkey. Ma Ermao was immediately stunned, watching the evil dragon swallow the donkey alive, and even the stone on the donkey's back was swallowed into his stomach by the evil dragon.
?? Ma Ermao ran back to the mountain in a panic and told Liu Datou what had just happened. Liu Datou was also stunned after hearing this, their master and apprentice transported stones down the mountain all by the donkey, and now the donkey has been devoured by the evil dragon, how to do the work in the future!
?? So, Liu Datou picked up the big hammer that smashed the stone and asked Ma Ermao to lead the way in front, and the two hurried to the place of the incident. The dragon hadn't even left, it was lying on the river basking in the sun with a huge belly. Looking at the leisurely appearance of the evil dragon, the angry Liu Datou pulled the big hammer in his hand into a circle, and the big hammer flew out of Liu Datou's hand like a meteor and smashed it towards the evil dragon.
?? Liu Datou originally wanted to smash the dragon's head with a flying hammer, but he didn't want to miss it and landed on the dragon's front paws, and the dragon screamed in pain and crawled back into the river with a twisted body.
?? Ma Ermao, who was on the side, asked anxiously: "Master, the evil dragon has run away, is it possible that our donkey has been lost in vain?" Liu Datou said angrily: "No, we must not spare this evil dragon and those stinky Taoist priests on the mountain, otherwise I don't know how many livestock and people will suffer."
?? Let's go, let's go to the county government to complain, and tell the county magistrate everything about today and what you saw outside the 'Wolong Temple' that night. After speaking, the master and apprentice walked down the mountain quickly and went straight to the direction of the county seat.
?? Above the lobby, Gao Daoming, the county magistrate, was greatly surprised after hearing the complaint of Liu Datou's master and apprentice, could it be that there really is a living dragon in this world? But the two masters and apprentices kneeling under the hall did not seem to be lying. So, Gao Daoming said with a straight face: "You can't joke in the court, do you know the consequences of teasing this official!"
?? Liu Datou hurriedly said: "What Xiaomin and his apprentice said is true, if there is half a lie, he will be put on the board and in prison at the disposal of the master." Gao Daoming felt that there must be something strange in this case, so he decided to go to the scene with Li Jun, the head catcher.
?? Early the next morning, Gao Daoming and Li Jun took a group of officials and followed Liu Datou's master and apprentice to the small river at the scene of the incident, and there were still traces of blood left by the evil dragon after devouring the donkey. Liu Datou pointed to another small stall of blood not far away and said to Gao Daoming: "Master, that stall of blood is left by the evil dragon being smashed by the villain's hammer on its front paws. In order to prevent the evil dragon from suddenly emerging from the river, the officials and shop heads hurriedly drew their sabers from their waists to guard Gao Daoming.
?? Gao Daoming cautiously approached the bloodstain, and sure enough, through the cool river water, he could see a deep nest in the mud and sand below the river surface, which must have been left by the injured dragon. According to what Ma Ermao said, Gao Daoming decided to take someone to investigate Wolongguan immediately.
?? The Tianyuan Taoist of this Wolong Temple doesn't know what the origin is, since the construction of the Wolong Temple, he has never visited the county government, which also makes Gao Daoming very unhappy. He decided to use this case to clean up the Tianyuan Daoist who didn't know the height of the sky.
?? So, Liu Datou's master and apprentice led the way in front, and Gao Daoming and Li Jun led a group of people straight to Wolongguan.
?? When Gao Daoming and the others arrived, the gate of Wolongguan was closed, and two small Taoist priests with swords in their hands stood on both sides of the gate, one on the left and one on the right. Gao Daoming wondered in his heart, it was noon at this time, and the Taoist temple should be open to welcome pilgrims from all over the world. But this gate is closed, and a little Taoist priest with a sword is sent to guard outside the door, there must be something wrong here.
?? Li Jun relied on his identity as a head catcher, coupled with his good kung fu, and he didn't take the two little Taoist priests who guarded the door in his eyes at all. Li Jun shouted in a big way: "Quickly open the gate, we will search the Taoist temple." ”
?? Unexpectedly, the little Taoist priest sneered disdainfully: "Don't say that you are a little head catcher, even if the county commander and the prefect come, they will not dare to spread wild in front of our door." Gao Daoming heard this little Taoist priest's arrogant tone, presumably there must be a reason, he had to force the anger in his heart to stand up, and said: "I am the county magistrate of this county, go and call your Taoist chief out to see me." The two little Taoist priests exchanged glances, and one of them pushed the door and entered.
?? After a while, Daoist Tianyuan came out of the gate with a few small Taoists. Tianyuan Dao Changpi smiled and said to Gao Daoming: "I don't know if the county order is coming, and I will miss the distance, and I hope that there will be a lot of Haihan." I don't know what your lordship is doing with me today!"
?? The Tianyuan Daoist was very arrogant, no wonder the little Daoists under him were arrogant. Gao Daoming had no choice but to say: "Someone reported that there is an evil dragon in your Wolong Temple, and it has devoured this fellow's donkey. Today I am bringing someone to find out the truth. ”
?? I don't want to hear Gao Daoming's words that day, not only was he not afraid, but he laughed out loud and said, "Lord Zhixian is very well-informed. To tell you the truth, I do have real dragons in this Taoist temple, but these dragons of mine are pampered every day, how can they eat the donkeys of my fellow countrymen! Besides, these dragons of mine are kept in Taoist temples, and it is impossible for them to go down the mountain at all. ”
?? At this time, a little Taoist priest ran out of the gate in a panic and whispered something in the ear of the Tianyuan Daoist. Seeing that Daoist Tianyuan's face changed abruptly, he said to Gao Daoming and the others outside the gate: "There is something in the view, so I won't leave adults to drink tea today." After speaking, Daoist Tianyuan walked back to the Taoist temple quickly, and the door of the Taoist temple was closed tightly again.
?? Li Jun, the head catcher, was so angry that he stomped his feet in the arrogance of the Tianyuan Daoist, and he couldn't help but scold: "Master, this miscellaneous old Taoist is too arrogant! ”
?? After eating the closed door, Gao Daoming's face turned blue with anger, he gritted his teeth and ordered: "Knock open the door for me, search! Those who dare to block it will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the imperial court!" The two little Taoist priests at the door saw that the scene in front of them was not good, so they naturally didn't dare to stop them, so they hurriedly threw away the swords in their hands and stood aside obediently.
?? The door of the Taoist temple was simply closed, and there was no latch from the inside. Li Jun was the first to step forward and pushed open the door of Wolongguan. After Li Jun led the team to rush into the Taoist temple, after only a few steps, everyone was stunned by the scene in front of them.
?? It turned out that next to the pool twenty meters away, there were four behemoths four or five meters long, these monsters had their mouths wide open, their bodies were covered with scales, and they were very similar to the legendary dragons except that they did not have horns on their heads. In order to prevent the monsters in the water from coming out and hurting people, a two-meter-high iron fence was erected on the perimeter of the pool. Fortunately, Gao Daoming still had some knowledge, and he exclaimed: "Isn't this a pig dragon? Why does it grow so huge and fierce!"
?? Daoist Tianyuan was talking to the little Taoist priests next to the pool, and when he saw Gao Daoming and them breaking into the Taoist temple, he was naturally very annoyed! Daoist Tianyuan actually pointed at Gao Daoming's nose and scolded: "You little county magistrate has a few heads! You dare to break into my Wolong Temple!"
?? At this point, Gao Daoming naturally refused to show weakness, and shouted angrily: "I am an official of the imperial court, and it is my duty to protect the people." There is a way that the prince is guilty of the same crime as the people, and your demon raises evil dragons in the Taoist temple, harming the people's livestock and endangering the lives of the people. Come on, get him for me!"
?? Unexpectedly, that day, the Yuan Dao Chief actually laughed a few times, and said in a strange manner: "This Dao Elder aims to raise dragons here, but I want to see which one has eaten the bear's heart leopard gall and dares to touch half a hair." ”
After Gao Daoming and the others listened to the words of the Tianyuan Daoist, they were all stunned, no wonder all the Taoist priests in this Wolong Temple were arrogant and rude. As he spoke, Daoist Tian Yuan had already taken out the Divine Decree from the room. Gao Daoming and the others hurriedly knelt on the ground, and the mountain shouted long live.
?? Gao Daoming had no choice but to leave Wolong Temple with everyone. He couldn't afford to provoke the Tianyuan Daoist, so he had to sprinkle all his anger on Liu Datou and Ma Ermao's master and apprentice. Gao Daoming pointed at the master and apprentice, and scolded: "You two bastards, you have caused a big disaster to my master." Come, tie them up and bring them back to the yamen, and each of them will be beaten with fifty boards!"
?? The officials rushed up again and tied up Liu Datou's master and apprentice, who had already been frightened and weak.
?? There is really no heavenly reason in this world, Liu Datou's master and apprentice lost the donkey and suffered the board, not to mention, and was fined thirty taels of silver by Gao Daoming, and then he was released home. You know, those thirty taels of silver are Liu Da's income in the first few years. Liu Datou was so angry that he couldn't afford to get sick when he returned home. Liu Datou fell ill, and the work of quarrying stone in the mountains can only be?? Ma Ermao went alone. Because he was worried that the evil dragon would suddenly emerge from the river, Ma Ermao couldn't help but tremble every time he passed the small river.
?? On this morning, Ma Ermao was working, and suddenly Li Jun, the head catcher, came up from the bottom of the mountain with a few catchers.
?? Li Jun waved his hand, and a few catchers pressed Ma Ermao to the ground.
?? Ma Ermao struggled and shouted: "What crime have I committed! Why are you arresting me!"
?? Li Jun said coldly: "You kid dares to kill the dragon in the Wolong Temple, this time you are dead." ”
?? Liu Datou, who was on the hospital bed, heard that his apprentice had been arrested by the yamen again, and he was in a hurry, so he hurried to the county yali with the support of his family. Above the public hall, the county commander Gao Daoming sat in the center, and the Tianyuan Daoist with an angry face sat on the side, and at this time, Ma Ermao had already been beaten to the ground. It turned out that a dragon in the Wolong Temple died suddenly, and the Tianyuan Daoist suspected that Ma Ermao, who was working in the mountains and quarrying stones, did it, and Li Jun arrested Ma Ermao in the county office.
?? Liu Datou was in a hurry, and suddenly remembered what he heard from his apprentice that day, when the evil dragon swallowed his donkey, he swallowed it along with the stones carried on the donkey's body, could it be that it was those stones swallowed by the evil dragon that caused the death of the evil dragon! Liu Datou rushed into the hall at the risk of death, knelt on top of the lobby, and told the story of the evil dragon devouring his own donkey that day.
?? Gao Daoming listened to what Liu Datou said was very reasonable, so he turned sideways to ask Daoist Tianyuan's opinion. After listening to Liu Datou's words, the Tianyuan Dao Leader looked embarrassed, when the dragon he died died in, the stomach was indeed as hard as a few stones. And on the day that Gao Daoming led the team to break into Wolongguan, the little Taoist priests found a cave dug by the dragon in the pool, maybe it was really the dragon who stole out and devoured Liu Datou's donkey, and was injured by Liu Datou and fled back.
?? Even so, Tian Yuan Dao was unwilling to bow his head and admit his mistake because he was ordered to raise a dragon, and he said forcefully: "Even if my dragon eats your donkey and swallows the stones on your donkey, then the dragon's death is also because of you." If you don't let the donkey carry the stone down the mountain, how can my dragon eat the stone by mistake and die? I see that you deliberately used the donkey to lure my dragon to swallow the stone and died. Lord Gao, I am here to raise dragons, you can do it. ”
?? After saying that, Daoist Tianyuan actually waved his sleeves and left angrily.
?? Tianyuan Daoist is gone, leaving Gao Daoming in a dilemma, knowing that the fault is not Liu Datou's master and apprentice, but who blames them for their bad luck, even if they inadvertently killed the emperor's dragon, they will lose their heads! Otherwise, I am afraid that I will be implicated.
?? Thinking of this, Gao Daoming sentenced against his will: "The criminal Ma Ermao used a donkey to tempt the dragon of Wolongguan to swallow a stone and died, the evidence is conclusive, Ma Ermao is sentenced to death, and he will be beheaded after the autumn!"
?? After listening to Gao Daoming's verdict, Liu Datou's master and apprentice couldn't help but hug their heads and cry. Seeing that the apprentice was escorted away by the officials, there was someone next to him who couldn't stand it, so he gave Liu Datou an idea, saying: "Don't cry here, you go to the capital to sue the emperor, maybe the emperor can forgive your apprentice from death!"
?? Liu Datou thought about it, so he let go of this old life and went to Beijing to sue the emperor!
?? In order to save the life of his apprentice, Liu Datou sold his house at a low price and went to Beijing without hesitation.
?? This is the first time Liu Datou has entered Beijing in his life, let alone looking for the palace to sue the emperor, he got lost soon after entering the city. In this way, Liu Datou walked around the capital for three days, but he didn't even understand where the door of the palace was opened.
?? Liu Datou was in a hurry, he didn't care if he was the emperor or not, he kowtowed when he saw the official sedan chair and told his grievances. However, in most cases, they were driven away by the officials' guards and soldiers.
?? On this day, Liu Datou watched from a distance that another official sedan chair came on the road, and he decided to let it go. Taking advantage of the soldiers' inattention, Liu Datou rushed to the official sedan chair and shouted: "Wronged!" and fell to the ground, hitting his head on the stone slab on the road, and immediately bled profusely.
?? If you want to say, you should also take Liu Datou lucky, and the person sitting in the sedan chair is Tang Yizong Li Luo.
?? It turned out that on this day, Tang Yizong Li Yi wanted to understand the living conditions of the people in the capital, so he put on the official uniform of a four-grade official and came to the street in a sedan chair. Seeing Liu Datou's blood flowing and shouting in his mouth, Li Yi signaled for the sedan chair to stop.
?? Li Yi asked Liu Datou to hand over the pleadings, and Liu Datou was dumbfounded, how did he know that this complaint still had to be written. Liu Datou died anyway, and he didn't care whether Li Yi wanted to listen or not, so he told the dragon of Wolongguan how the dragon devoured his donkey and died by eating a stone by mistake, and how the county commander Gao Daoming sentenced his apprentice Ma Ermao to death one by one.
?? really let Liu Datou touch it, Li Yi has been on fire recently because of the matter of the Tianyuan Daoist.
?? It turned out that this Tianyuan Daoist claimed to be able to refine the elixir of immortality, and after he deceived Tang Yizong Li Luo's trust with clever words, he bought back four big crocodiles from foreign countries at a high price. Li Luo has also only seen it), he has never seen a pig dragon with a body length of four or five meters, so he really thought that Tianyuan Dao Chang still has some mana, so he allocated him a large sum of silver to let him build the Wolong Temple.
?? That Tianyuan Dao Chang was originally a liar who could only talk flatteringly, and he had no ability, he used crocodile blood and various precious medicinal materials to make pills for Li Yi to take. The big crocodile refused to endure the pain of being constantly blood-collected, so he dug a hole and escaped. It's just that Li Luo's mental condition is not good after taking these pills, he often gets sleepy, and his sexual performance is greatly weakened. Therefore, Li Luo was dissatisfied with Tianyuan Dao Chief.
?? After listening to Liu Datou's lawsuit, Li Yi felt that the county order had gone too far. So, Li Yi called out to the officials accompanying him and whispered: "Pass my will and let them retry this case, and they must handle it impartially." After speaking, Li Yi waved his hand and got up the sedan chair and no longer paid attention to Liu Datou.
?? Liu Datou still wanted to stop the sedan chair, but he had already been set up by the officers and soldiers who followed him.
?? An official said to Liu Datou: "We have taken your case, go back and wait for good news." ”
?? In this way, Liu Datou left the capital in a daze and went home.
Sure enough, within a few days, Gao Daoming, who received the holy decree, retried the "Dead Dragon Case".
?? This time, with the emperor's holy decree, Gao Daoming no longer had to be afraid of Tianyuan Daochang, he not only acquitted Ma Ermao in court, but also fined Tianyuan Daoist 50 taels of silver as compensation for Liu Datou and Ma Ermao's losses. And because the Taoist of Tianyuan lost the trust of Li Yi of Tang Yizong, the court cut off the supply of silver taels from Wolongguan, and soon after, the big and small Taoist priests of Wolongguan were scattered and left.
?? And the four so-called big dragons in the Wolong Temple, because there was no one to feed them and there was no way to escape, they all died one after another, leaving only four skeletons of Bai Sensen.
