Chapter 405: The Great War Is About to Begin (23)

In addition to Emperor Tang, many princes also came to the Two Realms Mountain.

They naturally want to make a statement, the emperor is coming, do they dare to come?

In the Han Dynasty, there was a Huainan king, Liu An, who was the grandson of Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty. At that time, the princes and kings were all indulged in women's music, horse hunting, and only Corporal Liu Anlixian liked to read Confucianism and learn Taoism. Whenever he heard that there was a secret recipe for the Immortal Sutra and was a master, he would do everything possible to solicit it.

There are many disciples under him, and the most proficient of them are eight people-known as the Eight Princes. These eight princes are all very skilled: one can sit and summon the wind and rain, stand and raise clouds and mist, draw the ground into rivers, and pinch - put on it, it will become a high mountain; the second can make the mountain collapse and the deep spring closed, control the tiger and leopard, summon the dragon, and support the ghosts and gods to serve him.

The third person can change and flicker and appear, so that the array of the six armies will be faint and dark, and the day will be as dark as night; the fourth person can fly in the air on the clouds, surpass the sea, walk on the waves, and can enter and go freely where there are no gaps, and have traveled thousands of miles between breaths; and the fifth person can run into the fire without fear of burning, and enter the water without fear of drowning. The arrow misses him, he is not afraid of the cold in winter, and he does not sweat in the scorching sun in summer;

The sixth person can change at will, and the birds, beasts, plants, trees, and all kinds of utensils can be changed in an instant, and even move mountains and rivers to fill in the rivers; the seventh person can prevent disasters, survive disasters, prolong life, and live forever; the eighth person can fry mud into gold, smelt lead into silver, smelt eight kinds of stones with water, ride the clouds and dragons, and travel in space. King Huainan raised these eight people, learned the thirty-six volumes of the "Dan Jing", and was able to synthesize Dan peony according to the law.

On this day, the eighth prince saw that the pill was ripe, so he let the king of Huainan eat it, so he soared in the day and went to the heavenly fairy world, but Liu An was originally a nobleman, and he often couldn't forget his identity, and he was often not respectful enough to his boss in the fairy world, and sometimes even mistakenly called "widow" to the immortals.

This annoyed the immortal officials, and played a copy to the Emperor of Heaven, saying that he should be driven down. Fortunately, Hachiko helped him speak and only punished him for taking care of the toilet in the sky. It took three years to make him a scattered immortal. Although Liu An's official luck in the fairy world is not good, his chickens and dogs are very stained.

It turned out that when the eighth prince left, the remaining immortal covenant was left in the vessel and not taken away, and the Liu family's dog went to lick and the chicken pecked, and they all became fairy chickens and fairy dogs for a while. Fly into the sky. So people can hear chickens crowing in the sky and dogs barking in the clouds.

Xing Hepu has always been good at Taoism, and the most interesting thing he is good at is mental arithmetic - as long as he calculates in his heart, he can know the ins and outs of things and good fortune, which is easier than divination.

Xing has an old friend Cui Sima, who is sick and about to die, and he always thinks about Xing Hepu in his heart, and hopes that Xing will save his life. On this day, he suddenly heard the sound of someone digging on the north wall of his bedroom, and asked his family to check it, but they said that they didn't see anything. Next door to the north wall was the family's residence, and no one noticed anything. The sound of digging in Cui Sima's ears rang until the seventh day, when a small transparent hole the size of corn suddenly appeared on the wall, and he asked the people around him, but they all said that they had not seen it.

After a day, the hole grew larger and resembled a plate. Cui Sima looked out of the hole and saw several people standing by the cave with hoes and the like. Cui asked what they were doing, and they replied in unison, "Xing Zhenren arranged to do this." Sima Gong's calamity was too serious, and it was doubly laborious. ”

After a while, Xing Hepu arrived in a car, stood a few steps away from the cave, and said to Cui: "Brother's longevity is over, I will talk about it again and again for you, and I will extend my life for twelve years." Since then, all the sickness and suffering have disappeared. ”

After Xing finished speaking, the holes in the wall disappeared. Ten days later, Cui Sima also fully recovered.

When Xing lived in Zhongnan Mountain, many people who loved Taoism came to follow him, and a young man named Cui Shu was among them. Once, Xing Hepu calculated that there was a stranger in the future, so he said to his disciples, "There will be a strange guest in three or five days, please prepare a delicious meal for each of you." ”

Within a few days, the delicacies of the mountains and the sea are ready. So he set up a feast in a pavilion, but he warned the disciples to go into their own chambers and not to peep around. Everyone closed the door, not even daring to cough.

Xing Hepu went down the mountain and greeted a guest, who looked strange: five feet tall and three feet wide, with a head the size of half of his body, dressed in a wide crimson garment, holding an ivory wat board in his hand, his eyebrows were long and sparse, and his face was like a freshly sliced melon, and he laughed loudly, his hair was agitated, and his big mouth was split almost to his ears. He and Xing had a heated conversation, and what they said was not a human thing. Cui Shu couldn't help but be curious, so he walked out of the courtyard. The guest looked at Cui for a moment and asked, "Isn't this Teacher Taishan?" Xing said, "Yes. ”

The guest said, "If you turn around again, you will lose a thousand miles." After the guest left, Xing said to Cui, "That guest is God's playman." He called you Teacher Taishan, do you bring back any memories?" Cui said with tears in his eyes: "I am indeed the back of Teacher Taishan, but I can't remember it clearly, but I heard adults talk about it when I was a child." ”

At that time, the Taiwei Fang Xuan once asked Xing to count his life. Xing said: "If you start from the southeast and end in the northwest, then Juelu and life expectancy have come to an end. The place where he died, not a mansion, not a Buddhist temple, not on the road, not in the official office, the cause was caused by eating fish, and the coffin used for resting was from Qiuzi. ”

Later, Fang Xuan changed from the Yuanzhou Thorn History to the Hanzhou Thorn History, dismissed the official and returned home, and rested in Langzhou for a while - taking the route from the southeast to the northwest, and lived in the Taoist Ziji Palace. It happened that the palace was hiring a carpenter to do the work, Fang Xuan saw that the texture of the wood was peculiar, and asked the reason, and the Taoist priest replied: "A few months ago, a merchant sold a few sections of turtle boards, and now he is using it to build a small nunnery. ”

Only then did Fang Xuan remember Xing Hepu's words. After a while, Langzhou Thorn Shi prepared fish for Fang Xuan to share. After eating, Fang Xuan sighed and said, "Xing Gong is really a fairy!" So he told Thorn Shi the reason for this incident, and said that in case of accidents, please ask Thorn Shi to use the turtle board to make a coffin for himself. That night, Fang Xuan really died of illness caused by eating fish.

Taoism believes that stealing the sky is harmless, and everyone can understand that there will be no disaster if you find the sky to steal things. "The Yellow Emperor Yin Fu Sutra" says: "The thief of all things in heaven and earth, the thief of all things, the thief of all things, and the thief of all things." Three thieves are suitable, and three talents are safe. "How to find the heavens and steal things is an obsession that Taoism had before it was formed.

In the past dynasties, Gao Dao invented things that are closely related to people's lives, so that many industries have taken Taoist ancestors as their ancestors, which is the face left to us by Taoist ancestors. Xingyang does not gossip.

There is a rich man named Guo in Qi State, and there is a poor egg named Xiang in Song State, and in order to get rich, Xiang found Guo Shi and asked him how to make a fortune.

Guo's straight to the point told the surname Xiang: "I am very good at stealing things, I steal things for a year and my family is enough, I steal things for two years and my family becomes rich, I steal for the third year and become rich, and then I steal too many things to use up, so I go around giving alms to the needy." ”

Xiang was overjoyed after hearing this, and consciously discovered the way to get rich. He started stealing things on the way home, and he stole until he got home, and then he was caught! Not counting being caught, he was also fined, and this penalty made Xiang's fined pants sell, and he felt that this country was not authentic, and he lied to me! So Xiang borrowed a sum of money to go to Qi State.

After seeing Guo's family, Xiang began to complain, and Guo's saw that he was angry and asked: "What are you stealing?" Xiang said: "You said stealing, I started stealing on the way back, at first it was someone else's broken shoes, I think the broken shoes are small, but stealing things can't care about the small, I stole it, so as long as I can steal things, I steal." I can't help but say that I've done everything I can to steal. ”

This made Guoshi very sad: "Hey, you stole the wrong thing! I'll tell you what I stole from, there is a good time and place in this world, and I steal at the right time and place." That's not all, I still steal the rain and the mountains and forests to nourish my moisture, I also steal wild beasts on the ground, steal fish and turtles in the water, these things are not not I steal, because they are all born, so they are called stealing! Stealing the things of the Lord will not cause disaster, and what you steal is the property of others, and you can't blame others for stealing these things!"

These words made Xiang's head very confused, and he felt that this person was going to lie to me again, so he went to consult Mr. Dongguo. Mr. Dong Guo said, "You steal everything in your body! Steal the Yin and Yang Qi to achieve your life and perfect your body." What's more, which of these things outside the body is not stolen? It is true that all things in heaven and earth cannot be separated, but it is foolish to think that they are one's own! The Guoshi steals heaven and earth with reason, and no one can say that he is not, and you steal from others with your own ability, and you will be held accountable. To think that there is a difference between public and private is to steal, and to think that there is no difference between public and private is also to steal.

But treating public things as public and private things as private is the virtue of heaven and earth, the principle of heaven and earth, similar to the saying that killing pays for life, and it is justified. If we understand the principles of heaven and earth, who is a thief? Who is not a thief?"

In a village lived a teenage child with a disabled leg and both parents dead. Not only was the child lonely, but he also lived in great poverty, even relying on handouts or begging from his neighbors to survive. There is a river in front of the village, and villagers and passers-by have to wade through the water, especially the elderly. Whenever the riverbed rises, it is even more impassable.

But year after year, no one wants to change it. Only this child picked up stones every day and piled them up by the river. When people saw it, they asked the boy why he was picking up stones and piling them by the river. The child replied that a stone bridge should be built to make it easier for the neighbors to walk. Everyone disagreed, thinking that the child was talking crazy, and most of them laughed at it.

But over time, year after year, the stones were piled up into a hill. The neighbors began to change their understanding, and were moved by the child's spirit, and devoted themselves to the action of picking up stones, quarrying, and repairing bridges.

The neighbors brought in craftsmen and began to build the stone bridge. This disabled child is even more dedicated. Before the bridge was built, the boy was blinded by a stone chiseling. People deplored, resented, blamed God for injustice, and said Oh, such a lovely child, dedicated to everyone, but attracted such retribution. However, the child himself did not complain, and groped every day to do what he could on the site of the bridge repair.

With everyone's concerted efforts, the bridge was finally completed. While everyone cheered and celebrated, they all focused their eyes on the lonely child who was originally disabled in one leg and now blind. Although the child could not see anything, his face showed the most joyful smile in his life.

Soon, an unexpected heavy rain seemed to wash away the dust of the stone bridge. But after a deafening thunderstorm, everyone found that the child had been struck by the thunder and fell to the ground and died. Everyone was stunned, and then irrepressible emotions poured out, sighing for the child's misery and accusing the sky of injustice......

At this time, it happened that Bao Zheng, who was called the master of Qingtian, came here. The people stopped the official sedan chair one after another, crying out for the children and seeking justice. Questioning Xiang Ye: Why can't a good man be rewarded? How can a good person do it in the future? Bao Xiangye, who eats fireworks in the world, was driven by the emotions of the villagers, and wrote down the six words "I would rather do evil than do good" and then brushed his sleeves away.

Back in the capital, Bao Xianggong played the emperor on his official business together with what he saw and heard on the road, but he hid his inscription. Because although I was puzzled by the fact that the child had done good deeds and received evil retribution, after thinking twice, I still felt that it was inappropriate to ask for such six words.

Unexpectedly, after the emperor retired from the court, he had to take him to the harem to say some private words. It turned out that a few days ago, the emperor added a new dragon son. The little prince is very lovely, but he cries all day long. So the emperor specially asked Bao Xianggong to take a look. Bao Xianggong saw that the child's skin was like snow, and there was a line of words on his tender white hand.

When I looked closer, it was the six words I wrote, "I would rather do evil than good". His face suddenly turned red to the base of his neck, and he hurriedly reached out to wipe the words. It doesn't matter if Bao Xianggong stretched out his hand to wipe it, the handwriting on the little prince's arm instantly became gone!

Interestingly, the six words in the prince's hand are words in Bao Zheng's eyes, but they are just a birthmark in the eyes of others. The emperor saw that the birthmark on the prince's hand was erased by Bao Xianggong, for fear of erasing Fugen, so he reprimanded Bao Zheng unrelentingly. Bao Zheng hurriedly knelt down, saying that "the guilty minister should die", and then told the ins and outs of his inscription on his head. The emperor felt very strange, and ordered Bao Xiang to use the yin and yang pillow to go to the underworld to find out.

Bao Xianggong pillow on the yin and yang pillow to the underworld, the truth is revealed. It turned out that the child had done a lot of evil in the previous life, and his karma was very great. It takes three lifetimes of evil to repay the sins of that lifetime. God originally arranged for the first life to be a crippled body and a lonely person, the second life to be blind but crippled, and the third life to be struck by lightning and violent corpses in the wilderness. The child was reborn in the first life as poor and disabled, but he changed his past mistakes and only wanted to do good things for others.

So God gave him back his inheritance for one life and two lifetimes. He was blinded. But the child does not complain, but silently does good things for others. God took the karma of his third life and returned it in one life, so he was killed by a lightning strike.

Lord Yama asked Bao Zheng, "Do you say that the bad karma of the third world is still returned, is it good or bad?" The first life has returned the karma of the third life, because he only thinks of others in his heart, and does not think about himself, and in some aspects he has reached the realm of "not cultivating the Tao is already in the Tao", and has accumulated a lot of virtues, so he was immediately reincarnated as the current prince after his death and enjoyed the blessings of the Son of Heaven.

During the Tang Zhenguan period, two Taoists came from Chang'an City, saying that they had heard the spirit of Laojun Mountain for a long time, and were ready to go up the mountain to practice immortality. Despite the high mountains and dense forests, the steep roads, and the howling of wolves and tigers, they finally climbed to the top. The top of Laojun Mountain is not large, and there is hardly much flat land.

They looked around and saw a cave under the cliff to the southeast, in which a figure seemed to be shaking. When I got closer, it turned out that there was an old man who was in good spirits and was meditating in the cave. The old man was very strange when he saw that the two young Taoist priests were angry and disheveled, and asked them why they wanted to go to this dense forest and deep mountain, and the Taoist priest explained to the old man his intention to practice Taoism here.

The old man shook his head and smiled: "Cultivating immortals and becoming enlightened, you don't necessarily have to come to the mountains, as long as you are sincere and single-minded, cultivation dojos are everywhere, and you can also live forever." "The key to spiritual cultivation is moral cultivation. Only do good deeds and do not do bad deeds, so that merit will naturally be accumulated. That's why I lived so long. ”

The old man sat down and said: "The main purpose of cultivation can be summed up as five precepts and ten virtues, and the five precepts are: no killing, no drinking, no duplicity, no stealing, and no lust. "The ten virtues are: honoring one's parents, being loyal to the monarch and teachers, being compassionate to all, tolerating the faults of others, exhorting others to have no quarrel with the world, not to do bad things, to sacrifice oneself to protect others in times of crisis, to care for animals and plants, to build bridges and roads, to plant trees, to do things that are beneficial to others, such as to eliminate dangers, to chant sutras frequently, and to worship the gods. "Obeying the five precepts and ten virtues will be blessed by the gods, you should go down the mountain and go back to cultivate!" The two Taoist priests said goodbye to the old man and went down the mountain, they abided by the five precepts, practiced the ten virtues, and lived a long life.

There are many types of Taoist precepts, including five precepts, eight precepts, ten precepts, twelve precepts, Laojun twenty-seven precepts, Laojun one hundred and eighty precepts, ten precepts of the first truth, Lingbao precepts and so on. But most of these precepts have their roots in Buddhism.

Sun Simiao has been frail and sickly since he was a child. He suffered from fever twice and cold diarrhea once. Whenever he was yellow and thin, and he was suffering from illness, his mother always guarded him day and night, boiling and feeding him medicine. His father also carried him over the ditch to find a doctor.

After many times, I couldn't afford to pay for the medicine, so I had to sell my property. Sun Simiao was sad to see that because of his illness, he had caused so much difficulty to his parents. He realized the dangers of illness from his own painful experience in childhood, and realized that doctors can relieve the pain of patients. So I had the desire to study medicine from a very early age.

Sun Simiao is gifted and intelligent, "went to school at the age of seven and recited more than 1,000 words a day". He went to school in a private school cave far away from his home, and not only studied hard in class, but also often read under a locust tree in Yuerling, his hometown. Through hard work, he has laid a good foundation of knowledge.

It has been more than 1,400 years since the era of Sun Simiao, although the vicissitudes of life, the cave he read has long been annihilated, but this "thousand-year-old acacia" is still growing vigorously in his hometown of Sunjiayuan, becoming a witness of history, for sightseeing and viewing, leaving the world with endless memories and infinite reverie, inspiring students to work hard.

When he was a teenager, Sun Simiao was full of ambition and high spirits. He eliminated the feudal hierarchical concept, dared to break through the worldliness of Confucian scholars who entered the official career through reading, and dared to criticize and despise the extremely unreasonable social prejudice of practicing medicine to save people. He did not follow the crowd, disdained to mingle with officialdom and seek fame and reputation, but from the perspective of relieving the suffering of the people, with the idea of "great compassion and compassion, universal relief of spiritual suffering", with the ambition of helping the world, and ready to devote his whole life to the cause of medicine, his ideological realm and vision were far higher than those of the secular people at that time.

Sun Simiao regarded the suffering of poor peasants and sick patients as his own and served them wholeheartedly. He advocated that if a sick person comes to ask for help, the doctor should not worry about his own gains and losses first, but would rather trek through mountains and rivers by himself, hungry, thirsty and tired, to save the patient waiting for medical treatment.

There is a ditch in the south of Sunjiayuan Village, and the water flow is turbulent. In order to treat the people on the other side of the ditch, he often crossed the river despite the dangers of the rapids and the cold of the river in late autumn. There is a story of "burning the water of the ditch", which refers to the deeds in this regard. It is said that in order to let Sun Simiao treat the sick on the other side, the gods boiled the water with fire when he crossed the river, and then restored after he passed. Sun Simiao has been helping the working people for many years and has won the respect and love of the broad masses of the people.

The study of Chinese herbal medicine is one of the important practical activities that Sun Simiao insisted on throughout his life. He began to collect medicine in the mountains of his hometown very early. In order to collect medicine, he climbed cliffs, crossed the valley, and ran all over the mountains and ravines of his hometown. He also opened up a medicinal herb garden in his hometown, planting medicinal herbs, from planting, fertilizing, harvesting to processing, storage, etc., not only carefully operated, but also had detailed records.

He divided the medicinal materials into several categories, such as jade, stone, grass, wood, human, animal, insect, fish, fruit, vegetable, rice, and grain, and recorded more than 800 kinds of medicinal names. According to the function of the drug, he divided the drug into 65 categories, which were "general diseases" and "the prescription of the emergency can be determined according to it". Very useful. Until now, thousands of years later, these records of Sun Simiao still have very important reference value and guiding role.

During the Tang Zhenguan period, Sun Simiao went from Jiangzhou to Nanyue Hengshan. Hengshan flowing springs and waterfalls, the peaks and mountains are verdant, there is the name of "five mountains alone", it is the place of sacrifice of the emperors of the past dynasties. Hengshan is rich in precious plants and trees such as ginkgo biloba and golden fir trees, which provide rich resources for Sun Siyin to investigate medicine. Sun Simiao was in Hengshan, in order to collect pine resin, Yu Lixia said, trekked east from the mountain range to the east "480 miles, and then went south into the valley for 50 miles", to "there are more than 40 zhang of big stones, and there are more than 30 large pine trees in the south", and finally picked "pine resin that does not see the sun and the moon". It was also brought back to be refined into "Hengshan pine plaster", which made people "resistant to cold and heat" and "nourished the five organs". These vivid facts are enough to show Sun Simiao's attentive focus and the difficulties he experienced when he collected medicine.

Sun Simiao was well-informed and had extremely profound knowledge of history, especially in the late Northern and Southern Dynasties and the Sui Dynasty

The history is even more well-known. In the third year of Tang Zhenguan, Tang Taizong issued an edict to order the famous ministers Wei Zheng, Linghu Dedi, Yao Silian, Sun Chuyue and others to compile the history of the five dynasties since the Northern and Southern Dynasties, including Qi, Liang, Chen, Zhou, and Sui. In the process of compiling these histories, Wei Zheng and Linghu Dedi were afraid that there were omissions, so they visited and consulted Sun Simiao many times, asking him to consult on the historical facts of the previous generation. At that time, Sun Simiao was very old, but he "heard and heard and was very vibrant". When answering the questions of Wei Zheng and others, he gave a lecture and explained the situation of the countries of the Northern and Southern Dynasties clearly from the overall situation to the details, as if he had seen it with his own eyes, which made the government and the opposition deeply admire.

In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, plagues occurred in the south from time to time.

Sun Simiao was in the Changzhou area, busy day and night, rescuing plague patients. After half a month of hard work, the plague was effectively controlled. Soon after, however, the plague spread from children to adults. In order to prevent and treat this disease for a long time, Sun Simiao developed a medicinal wine formula with rhubarb, cinnamon and other combinations, named "Tusu Medicinal Wine".

After the people drank this medicinal wine, the plague never returned. In order to popularize the knowledge of epidemic prevention and prevent the mystification of this recipe, Sun Simiao found a large piece of yellow silk, clearly wrote the prescription and preparation method of Tusu wine on it, and published it on the pillar of the mountain gate of Tusu Nunnery, so that people could widely copy it. People greatly admired Sun Simiao's valuable spirit of emphasizing popularization and not being conservative. Later, Tusu wine was not drunk in the year, which deepened into a custom and was very popular in all parts of the south of the Yangtze River.

According to legend, the eldest grandson of Tang Taizong, the empress, was dying due to dystocia. Although the imperial physician tried his best to heal, but it was ineffective, Tang Taizong was so anxious that he couldn't sit still. Xu Maogong suggested inviting Sun Simiao to come to see a doctor, and Tang Taizong sent envoys to Taibai Mountain at night to edict Sun Simiao to enter Beijing. Sun Simiao was introduced into the harem.

Due to feudal etiquette, he couldn't get close to the queen's "phoenix body", so Sun Simiao could only ask Gong E about his condition in detail, and at the same time ask the imperial doctor to read the prescription medical records carefully. After that, he ordered to take a red silk thread, pinch one end by himself, and pass the other end through the bamboo curtain, and tie it to the queen's wrist to "lead the pulse" for the queen. It turned out that the queen was in an improper fetal position, so she asked Gong E to help the queen close to the bamboo curtain, Sun Simiao selected the acupuncture point, and pricked a needle, the queen trembled in pain, and after a while, the baby was born. The palace was so unhappy inside and outside, and admired Sun Simiao even more.

In the first year of Zhenguan, Tang Taizong summoned Sun Simiao. Sun Simiao was edicted to the palace, with a temperament, a radiant appearance, and very little face. Taizong was surprised, so he stepped down from the throne and praised from the bottom of his heart: "Therefore, those who know the Tao can be respected, and it is not a lie to envy the family and Guangcheng", and wanted to confer Sun Simiao with a knighthood, please stay in the imperial court. But Sun Simiao "stubbornly did not accept it" and said: "The minister is grateful." It's just that the minister is determined to collect prescriptions and medicines to relieve the suffering of the people. I didn't dare to receive this gift. ”

Taizong gave him 10,000 taels of gold, and Sun Simiao politely declined. He was deeply admired and loved by Tang Taizong for his noble virtue of not admiring fame and fortune, so according to his long-cherished wish, let him live in the capital for a few years, and let him go to all parts of the world to collect medicine and practice medicine unhindered.

In the legend of Lao Tzu out of the customs map, in addition to the image of Lao Tzu riding a green ox, there will also be a child in front of the bull to guide the way. This boy is not a far-fetched descendant, but a celebrity with a lot of background in Taoism - Xu Jia. In the main hall of Lao Tzu on the Louguan platform "Sutra Terrace", there are two smaller statues on both sides of the statue of Lao Tzu: one is kneeling and worshipping the teacher, this is Yin Xi, and the other is standing and serving, which is Xu Jia. The earliest legend about Xu Jia comes from Ge Hong's "Legend of the Immortals".

It is recorded in Ge Hong's "Legend of the Immortals" of the Jin Dynasty that Xu Jia was Lao Tzu's servant and followed Lao Tzu for many years, but he never got paid, so he was dissatisfied. One day, he settled accounts with Lao Tzu and asked for money, but Lao Tzu didn't say a word and turned Xu Jia into a dry bone. At that time, Xu Jia suddenly realized: It turned out that he was just a dry bone, and it was not clear how his life came about? What is the value of the trivial things in the world?

Shi Zai Taishang came to Luyi in the Zhou Dynasty, was eighty-one years old when he was born, so his name was Lao Tzu, born under the Li tree and referred to the tree as his surname, also known as Li Er, he had been a Tibetan official in the Zhou Dynasty, equivalent to the current administrator of the National Library, in fact, he was hidden in the mortal world, and the Taoism of the mysteries of heaven and earth was sorted out into two volumes, called the Tao Te Ching, and was ready to be selected to preach.

One day, seeing the declining law of ritual music in the Zhou Dynasty, he knew that it was not long in coming, so he resigned and returned to his hometown Luyi. On the way home, he saw a pile of craggy white bones beside the road, and when he saw it, there was a soul that had not yet dispersed, and he suddenly felt compassion, and used a small Taoist technique to turn the white bones into a human with a "polymorphic charm". This is the young and handsome Xu Jia, who is the cow for Lao Tzu. When Hanguguan ordered Yin to welcome Lao Tzu to Louguantai to give a lecture, he had been herding cattle for Lao Tzu for more than 200 years. Lao Tzu had promised him that he would pay him gold as a wage after he preached to the West.

Lao Tzu went to the Louguan Terrace, sat with Yin Xi all day long, and often did not say a word for half a day, and never mentioned the matter of wages. Xu Jia was very unhappy in his heart, on the one hand, he felt that he was miserable to herd green cattle all day long, and he was miserable and sleepy, and on the other hand, he felt that he was lonely and too tired to learn the Tao, and he didn't know what to do. So I planned to ask Lao Tzu for wages and go to live a comfortable life in the red dust.

One day, he was herding cattle in the place of the Turning Girl Spring, and his heart was pulling again, and he couldn't think of a good plan for a while. Suddenly, a beautiful manor appeared in front of me. In the garden, the crowds of flowers are vibrant, the birds are chirping, the fertile fields are hundreds, the mules and horses are flocked, an old man is on crutches, is looking at him with a smile, and there is a delicate Peugeot girl next to him.

The old man asked, "Young man, who are you herding cattle for?" Xu Jia was full of unhappiness, and said angrily: "Give it to Lao Tzu." The old man asked again: "Do you pay for wages?" Xu Jia said dissatisfiedly: "It is said that it is three strings of money in a month, but I haven't even seen a child so far!"

After hearing this, the old man sighed and said: "Young man, life is a lifetime, grass and trees are autumn, why do you want to cultivate the Tao and become an immortal, and suffer those hardships! You see that the old man has such a big manor, and there is only such a daughter under his knees, although she has no heavenly beauty, this radius of a hundred miles can not be found with a lantern. If you don't dislike it, ask Lao Tzu for wages and make me a door-to-door son-in-law, and you two will enjoy endless glory and wealth. I don't know what you think?" Xu Jia was full of joy when he heard this, and couldn't help but secretly look at the girl again, and the girl was also secretly sending autumn waves to him.

He was so intoxicated that he said impatiently, "Wonderful, I'll go and ask for money!" He was just about to leave, when strange things happened, the manor, the old man, and the girl suddenly came to naught. Xu Jia was shocked, and saw that Lao Tzu had stood in front of him at some point.

It turned out that Lao Tzu wanted to pass on the Taoist mystical scriptures to Xu Jia, but he found that Xu Jia was often gloomy and refused to endure hardships, so he turned into a manor to test his heart. That girl was changed by him with "auspicious grass", and he himself became the old outsider. He saw that Xu Jiadao's heart was not strong and his selfish desires were excessive, so he couldn't help but roar, showed his true body and gently stabbed the place where the beautiful woman was standing with the shovel in his hand, and a clear spring appeared in the ground in an instant. This is today's "Turning Girl Spring".

Xu Jia saw that his privacy was spied on by Lao Tzu, he was ashamed and unspeakable, his face was flushed, and he was angry, so he sued Yin Xi, saying that Lao Tzu relied on his salary, Yin Xi groaned again and again, feeling that the master was definitely not the kind of person who relied on the debt, and there must be something strange in this. So he asked Lao Tzu what was going on.

Lao Tzu smiled and said, "You call Xu Jia for me." Xu Jia came stupidly. Lao Tzu asked again: "Do you know where you come from?" Xu Jia didn't know. Lao Tzu said, "You open your mouth." Yin Xi knew the reason, and was shocked, and hurriedly grabbed the teacher and shouted "I can't do it", but Xu Jia was inexplicable, so he opened his mouth.

Lao Tzu immediately withdrew the "Gathering Talisman", and Xu Jia was restored to a pile of craggy white bones in an instant. Seeing this, Yin Xi was shocked, and immediately knelt on the ground, begging bitterly: "Master, although Xu Jia deserves it, but remembering his two-hundred-year relationship with you, let's forgive him this time, let him repent and become a new man!" Under Yin Xi's various pleas, Lao Tzu pointed with his hand, and the white bones turned into Xu Jia again. Xu Jia's face was full of shame, and he hated that there was no hole to drill.

Lao Tzu told him the ins and outs of his life, and sighed: "It turns out that I promised to pay you with gold when I went to the west to send a letter to Guguan, because I wanted to return to Jindan Avenue to you, so that you can be too mysterious, eternal liberation, and be free from all laws, who knows you-" Lao Tzu smiled as he spoke, "Just white bones, only a glimmer of life remains, they are all so greedy for money and lustful, and they are so easy and hard-working, it seems that their Taoist heart is not strong, how can they achieve positive results in the future? Yin Xi, pay him 720 strings of wages for 200 years, let him go!"

Xu Jia listened to Lao Tzu's words, like a slap in the face, only to understand that he had failed the master's hard work, beat his chest and regretted it. He wept bitterly and begged Lao Tzu to leave him behind.

In order to let Xu Jia remember this lesson, Lao Tzu insisted on letting him go. Xu Jia refused to leave. Lao Tzu nodded and said: "When you really change your mind in the future, you can come back again, remember, as long as you sincerely learn the Tao, we will still have a day to meet." Xu Jia understood that Lao Tzu wanted to continue to test himself, so he had to say goodbye with tears. After that, Xu Jia engraved the matter of "Turning into a Female Spring" in his heart, removed all selfish distractions, studied carefully, and finally became an immortal. This is the "white bone real person" who is respected by people in Taoism.

So far, in the Lao Tzu hall on the Louguan Terrace "Sutra Terrace", there are two smaller statues on both sides of the Lao Tzu statue: one is standing, it is Xu Jia, and the other is kneeling, it is Yin Xi. The content is exactly what the story is about. To this day, people look at the realistic statues of the three of them and relive the legend of the "Turning Girl Spring", from which it is not difficult to be inspired by this: if you want to learn some real knowledge, if you don't concentrate on the next hard work, you will never get it.
