Volume 1 Chapter 71 Chicken Catching Plan II

When I got home, I didn't tie the pheasant like before, but used a two- or three-meter-long rope to tie one foot, and the wings and both feet were loosely tied.

The pheasant that had just been loosened was not honest at all, and it was so hard that I was about to die of noise on the ground, but I couldn't stop its beak......

The rest of the work continued, but the rain that began on the fifth day put the operation on hold, and the rain lasted for three days.

The pheasants were moved to the house on rainy days, and the consequence was that they would be disturbed from time to time, and I simply gritted my teeth at it, and decided to grab a few more as soon as possible to build the chicken coop, and even more so far away!

On the eighth day, I was extremely happy to catch a chicken before, but today I am back to before the rain, and I have no harvest from sitting on my swollen buttocks!

Fortunately, there has been no shortage of food and fresh water and all sorts of things lately to allow me to catch chickens for so long.

On the ninth day, I felt that the efficiency of waiting for the rabbit was too slow, such a blind waiting was really not my style, and there was no point in consuming such fruitless consumption.

After figuring it out, I plan to take the initiative, of course, it's not that I want to chase chickens all over the mountains with my bare hands, then I'm simply a psychopath and looking for trouble for myself.

I'm going to use scare to get the chickens out of their comfort nests, preferably the ones that are running out of the!

In fact, the action is very simple, that is, rushing from the other side to the direction of the net and shouting to make some exciting sounds, and the pheasants in the nest will scatter and flee for their lives when they hear the threatening sound.

There is a good chance that they will run into the large net I have hung up in the process of escaping, and this is when my treacherous plan will be successful.

However, this ploy should not be used too many times, and after many times, the pheasants will move out and find a new nest when they find that it is no longer safe.

However, when I started this operation with joy, the result was not satisfactory, and finally a few pheasants flew away in other directions, and the operation was declared a failure!

On the tenth day, I ran through the woods again to scare them as I had done yesterday, and today I was very lucky, and the pheasants flew to my net together as if they had been discussed, and caught three of them at once, and I was so happy that my mouth was almost cracked to the back of my head!

......

Increasing the number to four at once is barely enough, and it would have been better if there were more.

I also wanted to try to see if I could catch a few more, the more eggs there were, and there were only two hens out of the four I caught, and the egg laying efficiency was still a bit low.

On the eleventh day there was no harvest, and on the twelfth day four of them hit the net again, but although I quickly rushed towards the net, I ran away from two of them in the process of taking them off the net, and they didn't catch up on the violent struggle and picked them off, which is a pity!

I sighed for a long time when I caught only two, and I was very satisfied with the number of maybe six, and the wish to eat one egg a day was already fulfilled.

I don't plan to catch the remaining chickens anymore, they are all in the state of frightened birds, and the difficulty will get higher and higher in the future!

Besides, it wasn't too uncomfortable in the woods at first, but now, after almost half a month, the temperature is rising and the forest is not very breathable, and it is very stuffy because the forest is not very breathable, so there is no point in staying here any longer.

After taking the two chickens home and tying them to the stump, I had to go back again and take down the nets tied to the tree along the ladder, their task had been completed, it was better to take them down, in case there were pheasants hanging on them for a few more days, and it would be wasted!

The fishing nets and ladders were all carried home, and the problem of building a chicken coop for the chickens was faced in front of them.

But after thinking about the practicality of the chicken coop, this plan was ruled out by me again.

The wild nature of pheasants makes the chicken cage not suitable for them, and if they are not active outside, they will get sick or even die in a very small space for a long time.

In order to give them a healthier site and not let my nearly half a month's hard work be in vain, I plan to build a slightly larger chicken pen.

......

At first, I wanted to build a shape similar to a sheepfold, but later, in order to be lazy, I just found some useless wood left over from the house, and selected the ones with a length of about two meters and drove them into the ground at a distance of twenty or thirty centimeters, forming a circle of five or six square meters.

It's a pity that they are not domestic chickens, so I can completely avoid building these, just use a simple chicken coop to solve the problem, and I don't have to worry about them every day, just feed them in the morning and evening, which is quite worry-free.

The rest of the work is to hand over the fishing nets that I just got back, if I simply rely on the wood to build the chicken pen one by one, not only the amount of work is large, but the final inside will be airtight and not suitable.

Cutting a forty or fifty-meter-long fishing net, then wrapping it around the stake twice, and the top is also directly capped with a net, all of a sudden the construction time is greatly shortened, if you use wood to splice one by one, it will take at least three to five days.

Now I only use half a day to build the whole chicken pen, this method of making the chicken pen is not only worry-free, when the typhoon comes in the future, it is estimated that the effect will be good, the wind through the mesh of the fishing net directly through, there is no need to worry about being blown down!

In order to make it easier for me to go in and out of feeding and picking up eggs, I left a 40 cm wide door on one side, which is a little inconvenient to enter and exit, but considering that these chickens are relatively wild, if they are too wide, they will slip out of the gap if you are not careful.

It took nearly half a month to get them back, and if I release them again, I'm sure I'll be so angry that I'll explode on the spot!

The chickens were still tied to the stump outside, and I didn't throw them into the hensty until I had made an improvised door with a few sticks.

Originally, I thought that the pheasants that had been in the trap for a few days should be honest anyway, but I didn't expect them to jump up and down in it as soon as they were put in, which made me deeply experience the feeling of "chickens flying and dogs jumping......

The most important thing is that they always ask me to clean up the mess after playing, and from time to time I hear their gurgling sound means that they are hanging in the fishing net in the process of jumping up and down, which is a signal to me to save my life!

At first, I thought it was quite fun, but after a few experiences, it gave people a headache, but every time I heard the sound I had to untie it again, who made me rely on them to eat eggs in the future!

Fortunately, after being stuck in the fishing net many times, they have also learned a lesson, and I guess they are tired of playing, and I am really relieved to stop jumping into the fishing net!

......

The main thing has been solved, but the follow-up problem is not over, the supporting facilities in the chicken pen have not been dealt with, the first is to put a clay pot into it to hold drinking water, and the grade of the sheep is the same, but the sheep's clay pot is one size bigger.

Another is to build a chicken coop and chicken coop in the chicken pen to provide them with shelter from the wind and rain and to lay eggs.

I directly used dozens of waste bricks and dozens of tiles to build a small house of half a square meter in the chicken coop, and I didn't even use the thin mud for bonding, and then grabbed two handfuls of hay to make a simple chicken coop.

Not to mention that after so many days, it looks like I'm having fun, but I think it's more tiring than doing anything else!

In particular, the process of waiting for them to pounce on the Internet may seem easy, but in fact the wait is very painful, and if you sit dry for hours without electronic products, you will definitely go crazy!

So far, the problem of chicken captivity has been basically solved, but the daily work in the future has increased the feeding of chickens, the advantage is that there is a stable supply of eggs in the future, and the number of chickens can occasionally eat chicken after the number of chickens expands!

Thinking of these benefits, I have to think of six more mouths at home, although they only consume about two or three catties of dry food every day, plus some green vegetables, I also feel that there is a lot of pressure on my body.

Don't underestimate the amount of food eaten by poultry, they are like they can't hold on, if you let go of the posture to eat, two or three chickens can withstand the amount of food for one person.

Now there are more than 100 catties of corn and dozens of catties of peanuts at home, and the food itself is enough after fishing.

The chicken's diet is mainly based on green vegetable leaves, supplemented by corn, and everything can only be opened when the corn is ripe.

After all, corn is the longest-preserving dry food of all the food on the island, so it makes a lot of sense to store a certain amount, especially if you need to deal with an accident.

......

In addition to the good news of catching a few pheasants, there is another good news recently, this year's lamb was born, and I am worried about the supply of lamb this year.

The two ewes gave birth to a total of four lambs, and with the addition of five large sheep, the number of sheep suddenly increased to nine!

It seems that the hard work of last year's sheep hunting and the usual efforts to find food for them have not been disappointed, and the increase in the number of sheep is the best reward for me!

Two ewes gave birth to four, next year's next litter will have four ewes to give birth, even if the New Year slaughters a ewe, there are also three ewes to give birth, I can already imagine that every day in the future can open the belly to eat mutton to the mouth full of oil for a good life!

The newly-born lamb is small, looks very cute, and is very obedient in the hand, and the touch in the hand is very good, and now the sheep of all sizes have a high degree of favorability towards me, basically no hostility.

In the first few days of lamb birth, I spend a lot of time every day caring for and checking on their condition, trying not to die halfway through.

It's not the first time that the two big sheep have a lot of experience in giving birth, as long as the other few don't make trouble, such as stepping on and pressing, there should be no problem.

In addition to the care of the sheep several times a day, the food for the sheep is also much richer, especially the two ewes that give birth, and a small amount of cornmeal is added in addition to the usual grass supply.

As long as they are all thriving, I will have 9 big sheep in the winter, and then I don't have to be as careful as before when killing sheep, I have to be entangled for a long time every time, and even choose which one to choose for a long time, this problem will no longer exist from next year!

In fact, like sheep and chickens, its food is best pure dry food, such as cornmeal and sweet potatoes, etc., I can't reach that point now, so it has always been replaced by green vegetables and grass, but it will be more difficult to raise fat!
