After building the boat and resting at home for a few days, I felt that it was too much time to sink like this, and planned to start another project.

The initial plan was to build several wide roads on the island, at least one and a half meters wide, and as flat as possible.

Of course, the purpose of this is not to eat enough and have nothing to do, but for convenience and a sense of security.

The road between the room and the crop field and the well was carved out over the past for a long time, and although it is not very good, it is still passable, and it is quite safe to walk in it.

This is not the case when walking in the woods, especially in the season when the temperature rises, and every step of the way is guarded against poisonous snakes hiding somewhere in front of you.

After dealing with a few poisonous snakes, I was quite concerned about the safety of walking on the island, so I came up with the idea of renovating the previous roads and building more roads.

At the same time, it is also a basic condition for using tools to patrol the island in the future, after all, the time to walk around the island on your legs is still too slow!

I plan to complete the project in three phases, and this winter it will take a month to clear the nearby 1,000 meters of road.

This kilometer is not only to open up and transform a kilometer of roads, but to open up and build roads within a radius of a kilometer, and the amount of work is quite large!

In this way, I started to clean up the existing path, widen the width and optimize the route.

It's like a road connecting villages now, and I can get to any part of the island quickly, much faster than I do now.

After the road was repaired, I still thought about making a bicycle, but the terrain of this island is still too narrow and long, and it is not enough to walk around the island for half a day.

If you have a means of transportation, it will undoubtedly be quite helpful for walking during the period, especially when transporting things!

In winter, it is much better to be active in the woods than in other seasons, and the friendliness is directly increased tenfold, and the first point is that there is no need to worry about poisonous snakes, and there is no need to worry about safety.

The second point is that most of the weeds and leaves have withered, so it is much easier to clean up weeds and other objects that stand in the way.

The third point, of course, is that the temperature is low, not only does it improve a lot of efficiency, but it also doesn't have to worry about heat stroke, so the progress is also quite fast.

At the end of the day, more than 100 meters of distance can be cleared and repaired, and more than 2,000 meters of new roads have been built almost in a month!

Of course, the more than 2,000 meters is not a straight road, and the first thing to be completed is the road from the house to the vegetable field and to the well, as well as the fish pond and to the nearest beach.

Although most of these roads have been cleared once before, at that time they were only used as a standard for walking, and many places were not smooth, and people's thoughts were always repeated, and they often changed the original plan after one thing had been done, resulting in a lot of time to rework.

The same is true for the road construction process, if you could have thought of it when you first built the road, it would have saved at least a week, and it was already early January!

There is only about a month left before the Chinese New Year, and on the surface, it seems that there is still plenty of time, and there are many things to do in dozens of days, but these times still have to be left for the things to be done at this time of the previous year.

Mainly soak the bark in water to make paper, squeeze oil, grind cornmeal, and boil salt, etc., some of these work takes a day or two, some take three or five days, plus some daily affairs, busy is almost February.

Originally, there were only a few days left before the New Year after all the chores were done, and I should happily welcome the New Year, but I couldn't be happy in the past two days!

Because there was a very bad news for me, the iron pot I got on the fishing boat was scrapped......

This is the only iron pot, its importance is self-evident, and its damage is also unacceptable, so you can only use clay pots for cooking and cooking in the future.

From the practical point of view, the clay pot can also be used naturally, but its disadvantage is that the heat conduction is slow, easy to damage, often every time the clay pot is burned, there will be a considerable loss of the dishes being done inside, and there are several times all with the explosion of the clay pot fell into the stove.

The iron pot has always been quite important, and it is precisely because of the frequency that it is used as a treasure is not high, and it can only be damaged until now, but now it has to face this problem, a headache!

Ironmaking has always been done, and most of the iron tools that are not too large can be made, but I have never had much confidence in making iron pots, not only because of the thickness of iron pots, but also because its shape is not easy to make molds, which makes people feel the pressure of production.

Naturally, I didn't have much confidence in my heart, so I didn't plan to make an iron pot for a few years, until today!

Today, with a lot of iron tools and tools being made, I finally feel the need to challenge this problem, and even if I fail in the end, I have at least tried, and if I succeed, then I will see the light of day!

The material for casting a new iron pot is to choose a damaged iron pot first, and use it to make a new iron pot again, which may be better than other picked up iron.

With the current technology and conditions, as long as it is not pure iron, it is not very complicated to make a mold and then make an iron pot again.

It's a pity that the reality didn't let me get my wish, and the iron pot was not broken into small pieces when I hit it with an axe many times, which is enough to prove that it is wrought iron, and then I realized that a large part of the current iron pot is made of alloy, and I was unlucky enough to come across it.

Pig iron is usually very brittle and lacks toughness, and this iron pot is quite tough and obviously not pig iron, so it can only be given up and made of other pig iron.

The mold of the iron pot is relatively simple, only a piece of relatively dry wet mud is needed, and then the scrapped iron pot is pressed into it for repair, and the subtleties can be adjusted directly.

The only thing to pay attention to is that the choice of soil should be quite dry, at least more dry than the mud used to make bricks and tiles to ensure that it will not be deformed after repair, otherwise the upper part will collapse directly, and there will be no room for molten iron in the middle.

However, this is indeed a more worry-free time in making ironware, and my biggest headache in the past was that the mold of the iron pot was too troublesome to make, but it was solved in this way.

So far, so good, as for what the finished product will look like, we will only have to wait until the last minute to know, at least at this point I am still very confident.

After all, all the steps are exactly the same as any other ironware, but the final molding makes people worry that the thickness is not uniform enough, or that the molten iron will not be able to rush around to form the pot wall.

An iron pot needs at least three or four catties of iron, and fortunately, a lot of rusty iron is usually picked up on the beach, and there is at least ten catties of idle iron after the rust is removed, which is not a big problem.

It didn't last long, and when I entered the room, I found a scene of collapse, the bellows I had made a long time ago cracked, and the charcoal stove had happened to it.

Therefore, the recast iron pot, which was not a lot of work, was a little troublesome because it had to remake the bellows and charcoal stove, and the time had to be delayed for several days!

Although the production process is relatively simple, it also takes half a day to a day, and at the same time it takes three or four days to air-dry, if it is not for the fact that it is difficult to smelt iron once every six months and a year, I really want to dig a bellows out of the trunk once and for all!

In order not to postpone this work until the New Year, but also to use a new iron pot during the New Year, the work of making a new substitute began as soon as the state of the bellows and charcoal stove was checked.

Three days later, the bellows and charcoal stove that are close to drying are ready for use, because there are only two or three days left before the Chinese New Year, during which time all kinds of ingredients have to be collected to prepare for the New Year!

There's not much to say about the process, it's exactly the same as the steps of making the tool before, but the smoothness is not as good as it could be......

There is a big problem with the first pot, I don't know if it's because of the mold or something else, the thickness of the pot is quite uneven, the thick place is close to one centimeter, and the thin place is about the same as paper, failure!

But the good news is that the shape of the pot is relatively successful, which can only indicate that the mold is not done well, or there is some deformation in the process of waiting for the bellows to dry.

For this reason, it is only necessary to spend a few more hours making a new mold, breaking the failed product and starting again.

Perhaps the first time was quite profound, but the second time it succeeded without incident, and the iron pot was successfully made.

The overall color is slightly different from the color of the scrapped iron pot, and the thickness is thicker, and the uniformity is different in some places, but the practicality is undoubted, and the thinnest places reach two or three millimeters!

On the contrary, the material of iron is a little troublesome, and the surface of the iron pot made by modern technology will have a layer of anti-rust paint, which is not available on the desert island at sea.

There is no doubt that the iron pan placed in the air will rust and it will become quite a challenge to wash the pot before cooking until the patience is exhausted and it is discarded!

But this problem was quickly solved, and after a while, I was quite confident that I could achieve it, and that was to put the iron pot in water every day for preservation.

Usually iron rust is mainly in addition to the air reaction, especially moist iron, can be isolated in the water after the air, the process of rust will be quite alleviated, the problem is perfectly solved, if not there is not much iron left at home, I would like to make two more iron pots.
