Chapter 6: Before the Sorting Ceremony

What?

Wizard duel?!

Draco was really scared, and hurriedly left the box, to be precise, from Thor.

What will he do? At best, he's a little bit of a "grinning hula", "front tooth stick", "taran taylor" innocuous jokes or sparkling spells.

But, what about Saul? He didn't know what Thor would do, just by looking at the two spells that Thor had cast, he knew that at least people would have some serious spells.

Especially the second spell, which he had not even heard of. So, he hurried back and wrote to ask his father if he knew anything.

Even if he was asked to copy the book, he admitted it, which was a sign of respect for his opponent.

Thor sat down after saying that he was going to duel Draco, opened a bag of multi-flavored beans, picked one up, and stuffed it into his mouth.

"That's cool! Thor, do you need an assistant? Ron hurriedly sat down next to Thor and unpacked the other packages for Thor .

"Wizard duel? What is that? "Neither Harry nor Hermione knew very well.

"Absolutely. If he had that awareness, I would have had a formal wizarding duel with him, and I would have invited Headmaster Dumbledore as a witness. Thor ate a few beans and motioned for Ron to unpack a chocolate frog for him.

Ron explained, "A formal wizard duel is a duel in which the two parties involved in the duel salute first, and then, raise their wands for a magical duel. In a formal wizard duel, it doesn't end unless one side falls. As for the assistant, if Saul dies, Saul's assistant will follow. ”

"Moreover, only magic can be used, no direct contact is allowed, that is, fists and kicks are not allowed." Saul went on to add.

Hermione, a clever girl, had already understood what Thor meant, and especially, the enlightenment in his mouth.

After eating the Chocolate Frog, Thor felt better. "Thor, who would you choose as your assistant?" Ron was silent for a moment, then straightened his back.

Saul thought for a moment, "Depends on what kind of person Malfoy will choose as an assistant, I will choose the person who corresponds to him." If you are friends with me, after entering the school, you should also seize the time to practice magic and learn more magic theory, otherwise, you and I will not have a common language. After all, I'm going to Ravenclaw. ”

Ravenclaw is the academy of knowledge and wisdom, and the group of people closest to the image of wizards in the minds of Muggles, elegant and erudite.

There is no doubt that Saul fits perfectly with Ravenclaw, but his sincerity and courage towards his friends are a good fit for Hufflepuff and Gryffindor.

"As long as it's not Slytherin, we're still good friends." In the end, Ron said something like this, which was also approved by Harry and Hermione.

The train gradually stopped.

They descended to a small, dark platform. Then a lamp flutters overhead, and Hagrid shouts "First graders!" First-year students are coming over here!"

In the midst of the crowd, Hagrid's bearded face smiled, "Come on, come with me, are there any freshmen?" Watch out for the soles of your feet, all right! First-year students come with me!"

They followed Hagrid down a steep, narrow path. "Turn this corner, and you'll soon see Hogwarts for the first time." Hagrid shouted back.

At the end of the narrow path, a black lake suddenly unfolded.

On the high hillside on the other side of the lake rises a majestic castle with spires and windows twinkling under the stars.

"No more than four people per boat!" Hagrid exclaimed, pointing to a group of small boats moored to the shore. Harry and Ron got into the boat, and Thor and Hermione followed.

"Are you all on board?" Hagrid shouted, and he was in a boat by himself.

"Then, forward!" A group of small boats immediately rowed across the mirror-like lake.

Everyone was silent, staring at the huge castle that reached into the sky. As they approached the cliff on which the castle stood, it seemed to rise above them. "Keep your head down!" As the first boats approached the cliff, Hagrid shouted.

Everyone bowed their heads, and the boat carried them through the ivy curtain that covered the cliff front to the secluded open entrance. They followed a pitch-black tunnel that seemed to lead to the castle underneath, and finally reached a place that resembled an underground pier, and then climbed up to the ground of gravel and small pebbles.

Illuminated by Hagrid's lantern, they climbed a tunnel in the rocks and finally reached a flat, damp meadow in the shadow of the castle.

They climbed a stone staircase and gathered in front of a large oak door. "Are you all there?" Hagrid raised a large fist and slammed it three times on the castle gate.

The door opened immediately. A tall dark-haired witch in an emerald green robe stood in front of the gate. She has a serious expression, and it is difficult to deal with when she looks at it.

"First-year freshman, Professor McGonagall." Hagrid said.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I'll pick it up here. ”

Professor McGonagall led the first-year students to a small, empty room at the other end of the hall. Everyone rushed in, huddled together, nervously and carefully gazing at everything around them.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said, "the opening party is about to begin, but before you take your seats in the dining room, you should first determine which house you are going to." This is an important ritual because the house is like your home at Hogwarts during your time at school. You will attend classes with other students in the college, live in the dormitory of the college, and spend your free time together in the common room of the college. ”

"The names of the four houses are: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own glorious history and has produced outstanding witches and wizards. During your time at Hogwarts, your outstanding performance will earn extra points for your house, while any misconduct will result in a loss of points for your house. At the end of the year, the college with the highest score receives the House Cup, which is a high honor. I hope that no matter which house you are assigned to, you will be able to bring glory to the college. “

"In a few minutes, the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school. I suggest that you get in order and be refreshed while you wait. ”

With that, Professor McGonagall left.
