Chapter 7: Ravenclaw
Shortly after Professor McGonagall left, a number of ghosts appeared.
They were discussing Peeves, and some were greeting, talking to the freshmen.
Thor looked at these ghosts curiously, since they lived in this place like himself, he would have the opportunity to chat with them in the future, and ask them if they knew what "Shadow Child" and "Golden Age" meant.
Some of the portraits on the walls could also be the object of his inquiry, especially Merlin's.
Thor was in a happy mood, but not the little wizards beside him.
It is a tradition to keep secrets, or lies, from new students.
Hermione was reciting a spell she knew, and even Draco was a little nervous.
A bloodied, chained ghost saw Thor and floated in front of him, "Ready to be sent." ”
"Even, am I not a Slytherin? If I'm not mistaken, you're supposed to be the resident ghost of Slytherin, Lord Barrow. Thor was curious.
Bloody Barrow leaned closer to him, "It doesn't matter which house you're in, in some cases, you take precedence over them. As for Peeves, you don't have to worry about it. ”
"Why?" Thor asked.
Barrow didn't answer the question and sloppily "You'll know the answer to that question when the time comes." ”
"Okay." Thor stopped insisting, and Barrow drifted back to Miss Gray's side to speak to her.
When a burst of footsteps sounded, a ghost shouted "Now go ahead!" ”
Professor McGonagall returned, and she lined up his door, the door of the hall, open for them.
There were already students from other grades sitting at the four long tables, and the professors were also seated at the front of the table.
Hundreds of candles lit it, the ceiling was the same as the sky outside, and Hermione was talking what she knew, easing her anxiety.
A hat was placed at the front of the long table, and this hat had a crack, no, it was a big mouth.
It began to sing, and when Thor finished the first verse, he gave himself an earbud to listen to, and the world fell silent.
It wasn't until he saw his seniors applauding and his hat bowing that Thor unraveled the spell.
"Now, whoever I call by name, he will come up, put on this hat, and wait for the Sorting House." Professor McGonagall holds a piece of parchment and reads the name on it.
"I'm going to have to beat Fred and George up!" Ron Weasley said.
Thor himself was relieved that it was easier to wear a hat than to fight a female ghost.
He suddenly understood why it was a tradition. It's really funny to see the panicked look of the freshmen.
Hermione was the first to be sorted out of the people he knew, and she was chanting words as if to cheer herself on.
After a while, the hat announced that she had been assigned to Gryffindor.
Neville, who lost the toad, also made it to Gryffindor, and he was obviously a little more suitable for Hufflepuff.
As for the Malfoys, there was no choice but Slytherin.
Next, it's Harry Potter, which caused a sensation.
Even Dumbledore sat forward, looking expectant.
I don't know what Harry Potter and the hat are talking about, but after a while, I hear the hat announce that Harry Potter is going to Gryffindor.
At the Gryffindor table, there was a round of applause.
Then he heard his name "Thor. Sreit! ”
"Go ahead! Go ahead! Don't be afraid, it knows your heart. The voice in the dream encouraged Thor.
Thor put on the hat, and the hat said, "Let me see." This power, it would be better to go to Slytherin. ”
"No, no, you're kind, you're simple, you don't care about fame, and going there will make you unhappy."
"You have the courage to move forward. What did I watch? Do you think like that? No, no, Gryffindor no! ”
"But if you have that idea, go to Ravenclaw! There is no doubt that you are a pure Ravenclaw, and knowledge and wisdom will protect you. ”
"Ravenclaw!" The Sorting Hat shouted out the final result.
Thor took off his hat and walked to the table with the most applause.
He looked up and even Headmaster Dumbledore was smiling and clapping at him.
People he knew were also applauding, real or fake.
Ron Weasley was naturally a Gryffindor. When the last Brace went to Slytherin, Dumbledore stood up.
He told his classmates that they should be aware of a few things: they couldn't go to the Forbidden Forest, and they couldn't use magic in the hallway on the right side of the fourth floor.
There is also a Quidditch audition that only begins in the second week.
And an inexplicable "stupid! Cry! Residue! Wring! ”
After that, there was no more.
As he sat down and waved his hand, there was a lot of food on the golden plate.
Thor took some meat, more greens, and of course, Thor didn't eat much. Soon, dessert came up.
That's Saul's favorite. A pudding on the left and a cake on the right.
While eating dessert, Thor asked the seniors sitting next to him where they usually practiced magic.
The senior student kindly answered Saul's question, "We have a place in the lounge where you can practice, or you can just find an empty classroom by yourself." The professors are all good. ”
After eating and drinking, it was time to sing the school song, and Saul just quickly read the lyrics.
When the school song is over, the freshmen follow the prefects to the common rooms of the various colleges.
Thor followed their prefect up the stairs, all the way up, and there were many portraits on the walls greeting them.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, they finally reached the tower of Ravenclaw.
The prefect stopped in front of the door, "Welcome to Ravenclaw, we don't have a password in our common room, and we need to answer the questions posed by the knockers. ”
As he spoke, he shook the knocker. The knocker made a crisp sound: "What's the best way to spread wisdom?" ”
The prefect took a step back, "Do any of you want to come up and try it?" Thinking about the question raised by the knocker together is also a Ravenclaw joy and tradition. ”
After a moment of silence, Saul gave the answer: "Turn wisdom into stories, into rumors." ”
Knocker thought for a moment "It means word of mouth as well as popularity, and you have a lot of ideas, despite the answer, very Slytherin." ”
However, the knocker still opened the door. The common room of Ravenclaw appeared before their eyes.
Blue calmed Thor's mood. The prefect welcomed them again, introduced them to Ravenclaw history and celebrities, and encouraged them to participate in the weekly book club activities.
Also, I focused on the independent library in Ravenclaw, but I didn't say where.
Saul thought about it, and that's right, Ravenclaw not only loves learning, but also has a bit of an exploratory spirit.
After the prefect finished speaking, he led the boys to their dormitory.
Thor was already a little tired, so after greeting the other three boys in the dormitory, he climbed into his bed and went to sleep.
