I said that you should meditate like running a marathon, and it must be strange for you to see it, so here's an explanation.

If you want to run a marathon, you need to maintain a constant rhythm, you can't always change the speed, and because the road is long, the sense of completion will not be very urgent, and your attention will not be on the finish line, but only on the action. This is exactly in line with the requirements of inaction.

Sitting still, the body is not moving, but the mind is active, and it takes a long time to get rid of distracting thoughts and look inward, and it is turbid to calm them. A person's heart is like a glass of muddy water, if you want to clarify, you can't always dangle it, so you can never clarify, but as long as the rhythm is stable, that is, your breathing is not chaotic, your body and mind will gradually become quiet, until you enter meditation. In fact, as soon as you sit down, you will feel it, just like running a marathon, as long as you run together, you will probably know whether you can run down or not.

Sitting still is no easier than running a marathon, and very few people can stick to it for 2 hours.

Conversely, it is easy to understand that running a marathon should be like sitting in silence.

All human activities are nothing more than running 100 meters and sitting quietly.

And for all activities, there is a common point to find and that is rhythm.

The external rhythm, in harmony with the inner rhythm, is the key to meditation.

When I talk about meditation, I never mean just meditating.

When I said the rhythm, I can't really figure it out.

It may be more accurate to use melody, i.e. melody and rhythm, but everyone understands the meaning, and there is no need to make up another word.

And the interference of the outside world will affect the sense of rhythm. That's the importance of talent, such as football and basketball, which requires a quick start, a quick stop, and the highest grasp of the rhythm. Chinese don't play well, it's not a physical problem, and now the Olympic champion track and field has also won a lot. This is a matter of evolution, and the strength of the consciousness of the gods will inevitably weaken the primordial spirits.

Because of the rhythm, to echo the way of heaven, this is not something that can be done reluctantly. For example, if you listen to a singer sing a beautiful song, can you sing his charm? It's not that simple. The sense of rhythm is innate, like the rhythm of black sports. And the rhythm of the thinking of the yellow race is stronger. Does thinking have a sense of rhythm? Of course, you will know by taking a college entrance exam.

When meditating, the body is not blindly relaxed, and many people meditate, thinking that they are in silence, are actually pretending to sleep. When meditating, the muscles of the body must echo with the breath in order to maintain elasticity and not get tired after sitting for a long time, otherwise the more you sit, the weaker you will become, and the more you sit, the more sleepy you will become. Maintain the vitality of the muscles, and when you really enter meditation, the body will naturally straighten up, and all organs will be adjusted to the best state, which is the foundation of the path to becoming an immortal. If you are more tired from sitting than from work, then what are you going to sit on, and go straight to work.

The importance of the body in monasticism is self-evident. If the body is a broken tractor, then the soul can't run fast. This brings us to meditation, which is the best expression of the body.

Meditation is generally better before falling asleep or after waking up, because the rhythm of sleep and meditation is similar and continuous.

Animals are born with a much better sense of rhythm than people. Bolt can't outrun any healthy adult Shiba dog. People should learn more from animals in terms of body rhythm, such as the five bird plays, as well as various boxing techniques in the name of animals, which all reflect this.

The sense of rhythm is in the hands of the Yuan Shen, and the master can't pretend to be it. Knowing God is a great layman, but he likes to point fingers and show it everywhere. Here's a trick: when running 100 meters, you pay attention, let the mind not be messed up, completely let the body play freely, the emptier the brain, the faster the speed, you don't believe to try, if the results do not improve, count me as nonsense. You come back and scold me, and I won't talk back. If you come back with a result, give it a thumbs up.

The way of heaven is unified, and the rhythm of man's work is also unified. If you can't do things well, you won't be able to sit well when you meditate. When we observe celebrities, we will find that there is a general rule, those who get ahead by self-struggle can also succeed across borders. Some even excel in several completely different areas. Excluding peripheral factors such as luck, it cannot be denied that it is in line with the way of heaven, that is, the rhythm of doing things is better. Therefore, humanity is the way of heaven, and it is not enough to simply meditate, you must do more things and practice more in order to better understand the rhythm of heaven, so it is not enough to rely on the guidance of others to meditate, and the sense of rhythm can only be understood by yourself.

In fact, my first article started with a sense of rhythm, and I guess no one understands that paragraph, thinking I'm talking about flying knives. A sense of rhythm is a sign of enlightenment.

People have acute children, chronic children, and unhurried children, who has a longer life expectancy statistically?

It should all be the same, because this is not the rhythm of the Heavenly Dao. The rhythm of heaven is as quiet as an old turtle and as moving as a rabbit. Man is an animal between a tortoise and a rabbit, and it is necessary to move and be quiet. The longevity champion turtle can lie on its stomach for a day, and the crane can stand for a long time with one leg folded, what is it doing? Practice meditation. Rabbits have a short lifespan because they are constantly moving. The rhythm of people should be in line with the way of heaven, for example, if you are dating a girlfriend and come 1 hour late, you can not move at all, etc. Another example is to cook for your girlfriend, you have to be the first to run into the canteen.

The rhythm of the Heavenly Dao is fast when it should be fast, and slow when it should be slow. When you can slow down to the void and quiet, the road has been completed.

The sign of enlightenment must be to look at the rhythm, let the pretending master say that the sky is falling, in fact, you can know the truth at a glance. A truly enlightened master, even if he is in the crowd, you can tell at a glance without saying a word. There is no trace of panic in his demeanor, and there is no half utilitarian on his face, like a natural existence.

As recorded in the Three Kingdoms, Cao Cao saw the Xiongnu envoys, and specially chose a mighty person to play the role of the King of Wei, and he stood on the side and pretended to be a guard, but he was seen through at a glance: "The King of Wei Yawang is very, but the bedside catches the knife, this is a hero."

People in all walks of life, engaged in a variety of work, can be compared, only rhythm, this is the common point of all work, but also the focus of heaven.

Fast and slow, movement and stillness, light and heavy constitute rhythm, which contains the three elements of time, space, quality, and rhythm. As far as monasticism is concerned: slow is better than fast, static is better than moving, and heavy is better than light. Here, the severity refers to the sinking of the spirit, the demeanor is not frivolous, and the ground must have roots. And the work should not blindly seek speed, excessive blind movement, pay attention to retreat as advance, static braking, four or two dial a thousand pounds.

When a cultivator can walk, sit, and lie down in harmony with the Heavenly Dao, does he still need to deliberately cultivate, isn't it what the Dao is? Do you have to cultivate a golden pill, or be able to work and cure diseases, or open up the eight veins of the Qi Sutra to be called Taoist?

Sit on the small rhythm to grasp, and the big rhythm must also coincide. The human soul and body are also cyclical, moving when they should move, and still when they should be still. Life, work and leisure should be coordinated with it. For example, when you are working, you want to take a vacation, and when you are on vacation, you want to work, which will disrupt the rhythm. When the body and mind are active, you can't find the rhythm of meditation.

When meditating, you have to sit and forget, that is, you lose the concept of time, or time becomes slow.

Slowing down time is not just a feeling, it is also a physiological reflection. The magic of meditation is embodied in the creation of different time and space, everything is still, slows down, and all sensations are amplified, and it is said that there are 16 kinds of touches, which are conducive to experiencing the rhythm of heaven and earth.

We always say to live in the present, the present does not exist, every second is in the past. We can't live in the present, the present is a false proposition. Especially when faced with a major event, it's hard not to beat the drum in your heart. So how to grasp the present, we might as well expand the present, the present has thickness, we can take the day as the present, and even continue to expand, a week, a month, 、、、 sense of time, easier to control. It's amazing to compress a day into a second, and we can escape into any time and space, and let me go. In such a moment, life seems more tangible, and our past and future are meaningful. When you live in such a moment, the happy time will be longer, the difficult time will be easy to pass, and the unpredictable future will be much less threatening, which is the secret of the present. When you have the best sense of completion and security, the moment has thickness, and time is actually a feeling. Having such a rhythm of time and space is the mind of the enlightened.

When people are in a bad state, they often have the worst sense of rhythm, or they lose their rhythm, and their body and mind, and the outside world are not in harmony, which is manifested in everything not going well and hitting walls everywhere. People are in a rhythm, will form a kind of inertia, change often with the help of external forces, or their own conscious adjustment. If you are dissatisfied with your current state, don't rush to struggle, or give up on yourself, both of which will make the rhythm of the body and mind more chaotic, the best way to deal with it is to accept the current state first, adapt to the current rhythm, and then try to change it. The more anxious you are to change the status quo, the more you will lose your rhythm and mess up.

It is difficult for people to have a clear consciousness when the rhythm is chaotic, and they are not sensitive until the symptoms of the disease appear, and they are often dominated by external things, and they are very passive.

Only when a person cultivates to the Dao realm can he fully grasp his own rhythm.
