Section 5 Be a person who is at ease with what comes his way
Humans often exaggerate their abilities and think that fighting the heavens and the earth is endlessly fun. In fact, the wisdom of survival lies not in fighting, but in being at ease with what happens.
In life, we can only make the best choice if we conform to the laws of nature.
On dog days, the grass of the Zen monastery withered.
"Scatter some grass seeds! It's ugly! The little monk said.
"Wait until it's cold." The master commanded, "Anytime." ”
In the Mid-Autumn Festival, the master bought a bag of grass seeds and asked the little monk to sow seeds.
The autumn wind rises, and the grass seeds float while scattering.
"Oh no, a lot of grass seeds have been blown away by the wind!" The little monk shouted.
"It doesn't matter, most of the blown away are empty, and they won't sprout if they are sprinkled." The master said.
"Random!"
After sprinkling the grass seeds, a few small birds flew to peck at them.
"Damn, the grass seeds have been eaten by birds!" The little monk was so anxious that he jumped to his feet.
"It's okay, there are so many grass seeds that I can't finish eating." The master said, "Whatever happens! ”
In the middle of the night, there was a shower, and the little monk rushed into the meditation room early in the morning: "Master, it's really over!" A lot of grass seeds were washed away by the water! ”
"Wherever you rush, you will sprout!" The master said, "Whatever happens!" ”
More than half a month has passed.
It turned out that the bare ground actually grew a lot of green young grass, and some corners that had not been sown were also covered with green.
There are many things in life that cannot be forced, and some deliberately forced things may not be obtained in our lifetime, and the splendor that we have not expected often comes unexpectedly in our indifference.
Creation makes people, and it is destined that everyone is often impossible to be a smooth and smooth road all their lives. In this case, we must truly understand life, understand life, and make the biggest adjustment, that is, "be at peace with what happens".
There are few times in our lives when we truly feel that our lives are all smooth sailing, and when we are suddenly faced with bad luck, do you face it calmly, or do you resent the unfairness of God? You must know that life encounters are not controlled by personal strength, and in an environment where things are often unsatisfactory, the only way to make us comfortable is to make ourselves "at peace with what happens".
Once, someone took a car from the countryside to transport things back to the city, and the car broke down suddenly in the middle of the way, it was summer, and the weather in the afternoon was unbearably hot. Not being able to move forward on the road in the scorching heat of the red sun is really worrying. However, when he saw the situation at the time, he knew that it was useless to be anxious, and he had to wait slowly for the car to be repaired before he could leave. So, he asked the driver, knowing that it would take three or four hours to repair, so he walked alone to a nearby river to swim, the river was quiet and cool, the scenery was pleasant, after swimming in the river, the heat was all gone, and when he came back from swimming, the car was repaired and ready to go, taking advantage of the evening breeze, straight into the city.
Afterwards, he said, "It was the most enjoyable trip!" ”
In this experience, I must have experienced the beauty of being at peace with what happens. Some people may have to stand in the scorching sun, complaining and anxious, and the car will not be fixed a minute earlier, and that trip must be the most painful and annoying.
The problem is how to face adversity and disregard, knowing that human power cannot be changed, it is better to face the reality and be at peace with the encounter. Instead of complaining about others and increasing distress, it is better to adapt to the situation, accommodate the environment, and use your own strength and wisdom to discover the fun in the existing conditions.
There were three caterpillars who wanted to cross the river to collect nectar. One said that we must first find the bridge and then climb over it. One said, "Let's build a boat and float over the water." One said that we were exhausted after walking so much, and that it was time to rest and rest for two days. The other two were surprised: rest? It's a joke! Don't you see that the honey in the flowers on the other side is about to be lighted? With that, the two caterpillars went their separate ways. The remaining one climbed the tallest tree and found a leaf to lie down.
I don't know how long later, when I woke up, I found that I had become a beautiful butterfly. It only flapped its wings a few times before it flew across the river. At this time, the flowers on the other side are in full bloom, and each bud has sweet honey. It was eager to find the two companions, but it flew through all the flowers and could not find them, for one of its companions was exhausted on the road, and the other was drowned by the river.
When we work hard in this competitive society, we often feel exhausted and bruised. In fact, being at peace with what happens is a way of survival, and it is the most beautiful.
In life, not everyone has the ability to rebel against fate. If you are powerless to resist, then, instead of cursing and complaining, it is better to accept the arrangement of fate and spend every day happily.
On a hot day, some people were irritable and uncomfortable, and we said to him, "Let it be, and the mind will be calm and cool." In the days of failure, some people are depressed and decadent, thinking that there is no sunshine in the world, we say to him: "Be at peace with what happens, be the most real you!" In the days of life, regardless of success or failure, we must say to everyone: "Be at peace with what happens, don't be demanding, although pursuit will bring benefits, but desire is also a source of sin." If you want nothing and want nothing, if you don't like things, if you don't feel sorry for yourself, you will live naturally! ”
There is a wisdom called "being at peace with what happens".
When encountering difficulties on the road of life, sometimes, it is useless to complain, it is useless to resist, we can't change the environment, we can change ourselves, and the way to make ourselves comfortable is to "be at peace with the situation".
