Chapter 402: The Great War Is About to Begin (20)

Daomen is an absolute overlord in this world.

Daomen comes from ancient witchcraft and fairy magic in the Qin and Han dynasties. The worship of ghosts and gods, the belief in immortals and magic, and ancient philosophy were indeed the main ideological connotations in the pre-history of Taoism. The activities of Taoist priests are very complex, including altar dipping, preaching, talismans, forbidden spells, divination, praying for rain, fulfilling dreams, body plagues, worshipping gods, etc. The sermon seems to be infinitely mysterious, and it seems very profound and unfathomable, making people feel incomprehensible.

The Taoist patriarch Lao Tzu regarded "Tao" as the ontology of the universe and the law of all things, and was a mysterious existence that transcended time and space, and established the theological theoretical system of Taoism based on "Tao". Lao Zhuang's mysticism and health preservation thought formed the idea of becoming immortal is the core belief of Taoism. Focusing on cultivation and health preservation, Lao Tzu and Zhuangzi put forward the cultivation methods of quiet and inaction, seeing simplicity and embracing simplicity, and sitting and forgetting to keep one, which were inherited and carried forward by the disciples.

In the middle of the Warring States period, the state of Qi flourished and respected the Yellow Emperor and Lao Tzu's Huang Lao Taoism, and the rulers of the early Western Han Dynasty admired the Huang Lao Zhixue of doing nothing, creating a prosperous era of "the rule of Wenjing".

After Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the Huang Lao doctrine went to the people, and merged with Fang Xian Dao to form the Huang Lao Dao, which was transformed from a political belief to a religious group. The Confucianism of Confucius and Mencius was compatible with Taoism and constituted the main body of religious ethics and morality; The ideas and contents of Mojia's respect for heavenly ghosts, love and mutual assistance, and scientific and technological methods are covered by Taoism;

The Book of Changes is the basic classic of the Taoist priests, and the theory of Yi Xue has penetrated into all aspects of theology and philosophy, Fu Gong Dan Tao and Zhai Jiao rituals;

The theory of yin and yang and five elements of the pre-Qin Taoist Zou Yan is also an important part of Taoist theory. The "Taiping Sutra" of the two Han Dynasty and Huang Lao Taoism preached the gasification of heaven and earth, the unity of heaven and man, the bearing of heavenly ways, and the happiness of good life, with the goal of "Taiping World".

Wei Boyang's "Zhou Yi Shen Tong Deed" of the Eastern Han Dynasty Danding Taoist School combined Yi Xue, Huang Lao, and Huo Hou to summarize and develop the Taoist health alchemy.

It is a collective term for refining the outer Dan and the inner Dan. Originating from Huang Lao Dao, the Wai Dan technique is to smelt minerals in a Dan furnace to make "elixir". Later, the human body was used as a furnace to practice the essence and spirit, which was called the Inner Dan technique. Wai Dan refers to the Taoist smelting of pills through various secret methods, which are used to eat, or directly consume certain sesame herbs, in order to ignite their own yin and turn them into yang energy.

Dan is a dosage form of traditional Chinese medicine, and many prescriptions in ancient and modern times are called "Dan" to show miracles, such as Tianwang Buxin Dan, Zhibao Dan, Shanhai Dan and so on. These prescriptions, mainly formulated from animal and plant medicines, have nothing to do with Dan in the original sense, but only borrow the name "Dan", and the profound influence of ancient alchemy on later generations can be seen.

Alchemy, also known as Wai Dan Huang Bai Shu, or Jin Dan Shu, referred to as "Wai Dan", is different from the "Nei Dan" guidance technique of the Longevity Zhenren Qiu Chu Ji Quanzhen Longmen School. Alchemy began in the middle of the Warring States period, and after the Qin and Han dynasties, the "Danding School" became popular and rejected the Wai Danshu for a while.

Alchemy is a method used by the ancients to refine elixir in pursuit of "longevity". Dan refers to Dansha or mercury sulfide, which is an inorganic compound of sulfur and mercury. Unlike plants and trees, dansha not only burns but does not ember, but "the longer it is burned, the more wonderful the changes become." “

The mercury produced by mercury is a metallic substance, but it is in a liquid state, with the luster of metal and different from the "stubborn shape and stagnation of hardware." “。

Due to the pharmacological effect of dansha and its physicochemical properties, alchemists use it as the main material for alchemy. Its shape is round and flowing, easy to volatilize, the ancients felt very magical, and then choose other gold and stone drugs to liquid mercury, according to a certain formula mixed with each other for smelting, and repeatedly carry out the experiment of reduction and oxidation reaction, in order to refine the "Nine Turns to the Dan" or "Nine to the Golden Pill". This is the earliest chemical reaction product of humans.

Written in the Qin and Han dynasties, the oldest book of "Materia Medica" "Shennong's Materia Medica", the hardware, three yellow, ping-pong stone and other more than 40 kinds of drugs are listed as upper, middle and lower three products, pointing out that the standard of its classification is: "medicine makes people safe, life is prolonged, ascending to heaven, and immortals ,......"

Among them, dansha is listed as the first high-grade alchemy, and it is the earliest important medicinal material selected for ancient alchemy. The alchemists decompose the mercury after heating the dansha, and then find that the mercury is combined with sulfide to form black mercury sulfide, and then sublimate it after heating, and it returns to the original state of red mercury sulfide.

Dansha smelts mercury and mercury and sulfide to return dansa, which is actually a chemical reduction and oxidation reaction. Ge Hong of the Jin Dynasty said: "All plants and trees are burned to embers, and the dansha is refined into mercury, and the accumulation changes into dansha, and its plants and trees are far away, so it can make people live forever." “

During the Wei and Jin dynasties, Taoism was divided into the scholar Danding Taoism and the folk Fushui Taoism. Ge Hong, a Taoist from Maoshan, combined the Taoist immortal magic with the Confucian Gangchang Mingjiao to construct a set of immortal system, which laid a theoretical foundation for the scholar Danding Taoism. The prevalence of Lao Zhuang metaphysics promoted the development of Taoist theory.

An important part of Taoist runes, one of the basic skills of Taoist priests. Taoist mantras and spells originated from ancient witches. Taoist mantras were more popular in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and there was a close relationship between the talismans, the mantras should be recited when drawing talismans, and there were also mantras when using talismans, and there were certain mantras for all the fa.

The spell becomes the sincere and heartfelt voice of the caster, so as to ensure that all spells work.

When praying, mantras are words of praise to the gods and prayers for wishes. When healing, the incantation is a word that asks for a spell to manifest and eliminate all diseases; When cultivating, mantras are mostly words such as calming the nerves, clarifying the mind, and asking for help from the gods. Taoist mantras usually end with the phrase "hasty as the law".

Maoshan Taoist priests come from the "Maoshan Sect" of Taoism. The Maoshan sect is a Taoist sect formed with Maoshan as the ancestral court. It inherits the Shangqing faction and is another name for the Shangqing faction with Maoshan as the development center. Its actual creator is Tao Hongjing. The disciples of the Maoshan Sect are collectively known as Maoshan Taoists.

Maoshan Taoism is the Zhengyi Fu Zheng School, and Maoshan is the main dojo of the Zhengyi School of Taoism. Taoism is divided into two major systems: Quanzhen Tao and Zhengyi. The Taoist priests of the Quanzhen School are monks, live a jungle life in the palace, do not eat meat, emphasize the cultivation of the inner Dan, do not still have the Fu Gong, advocate the double cultivation of life, and take the cultivation of truth and nature as the right way;

The Taoist priests of the Zhengyi school generally have a family, do not taboo meat, and take the line of talismans as the main feature, such as drawing talismans

Spells, exorcisms, prayers for blessings and disasters, etc.

Drawing talismans is a kind of spell inherited by the mage or Taoist master of the Zhengyi faction and the Zhengyi faction of Taoism. If a high-level mage or Taoist master actually has a more advanced skill in drawing talismans, then the utility of the spirit talisman will be stronger.

Every step of drawing the talisman is actually very important, and the driving force of the talisman is in the words "sincerity" and "faith". Sincerity is spiritual, heaven and earth are moved; Faith is clear, and mana is boundless. It's all about whether you have an honest mindset.

Why do Taoist paintings often use cinnabar? There are many red raw materials, why do Taoist paintings use cinnabar? This brings us to the materials for drawing talismans.

The paper used to draw the symbols is generally yellow paper. In the article "Nine Sages and Strange Ghosts" of "Yijian Bingzhi", it is said that "the golden armor god holds the yellow paper talisman to show the law", which is the record of the yellow paper script in the Song Dynasty. "Lingbao Jade Jian" is also repeatedly called "right Fu Zhushu yellow paper" Yunyun, Miao wizards also use yellow paper to cut into long strips as calligraphy materials. Why do we use yellow paper to draw symbols? This is related to the yellow worship of the ancients and the yellow belief of Taoism.
