Chapter 401: The Great War Is About to Begin (19)
In addition to the talismans, there are many desirable places for the Daomen.
This time, all the big battles were used. Taoist cultivation is important in true cultivation and empirical evidence, and there is a step by step effect, and it is always inseparable from the human body itself. Without the human body, everything you talk about is false. The writings of the Danjing left by the ancestors of the past generations are all conclusions reached through their own physical and mental verification, and they are "the unity of reason and law".
Attaining the state of eternal life through various cultivation methods is a sacred choice of Taoist priests under the domination of religious beliefs, and it is also the main purpose of their lives. In the process, the Taoist priests also launched a lasting rebellion against death, the great enemy of life, and accumulated many valuable experiences and lessons in their exploration of the mysteries of life, and stepped into the realm of medicine intentionally or unintentionally.
Since the purpose of the various cultivation methods in the life of Taoist priests is to maintain health and longevity, these cultivation methods naturally have an indissoluble relationship with medicine, so they have also made significant contributions to the development of medicine and even world medicine.
The achievements of Taoist priests in this area are compared with those of ancient sorcerers and immortal monks, and they have made many contributions to pathology and pharmacology through their own cultivation practice or direct medical practice, among which there are not a few people with excellent medical skills.
Sun Simiao's medical achievements are a great pride of Daomen. In addition to the above three, there are many Taoist priests who are proficient in medical skills, and it is difficult to introduce them one by one here.
On the other hand, in the process of cultivation, after reaching a certain realm, Taoist priests will turn on some special functions of the human body, such as Tianyantong.
In short, from the perspective of the nature of Taoism and the purpose of Taoist cultivation, in addition to its ultimate goal, the cultivation methods of Taoist priests also have a side in common with medical science, which has its inherent inevitability.
Sima Qian's "Historical Records: The Biography of Bian Que Canggong" records the story of the great physician Bian Que: Bian Que is also called Qin Yueren, and once met a stranger Chang Sangjun, this master gave Bian Que a forbidden prescription privately, and took out the Chinese medicine, and told him to "drink the water of the above pool, and know things for 30 days." ”
According to his words, Bian Que collected water that had not touched the ground, such as dew, and took the medicine, so that after 30 days, he could see people through the wall, and see the five internal organs of the human body clearly. When he passed by, he saw that the kingdom of Yu was in mourning, and the middle concubine told him that the prince of Yu had "died of a violent seizure" and was about to be buried.
Bian Que stood at the door of the palace and asserted that Prince Yu was a fake death, and he could come back from the dead. Zhongshuzi didn't believe it, and Bian Que further asserted: "Try to diagnose the prince, when you hear his tinnitus and his nose opens, follow his two strands, so that it is yin, and when he is still warm." ”
This kind of prediction function is also in the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing, the history records: Zhang Zhongjing and Wang Zhongxuan in the service met, Zhang Zhongjing, who was 20 years old at the time, has a deep understanding of the medical Tao: "Zhongjing saw Wang Zhongxuan in the service, when he was more than 20 years old, he said: Jun is sick, when the eyebrows fall at forty, the eyebrows fall for half a year and die, so that the five stone soup can be avoided." Zhong Xuan was disgusted with his words, and he accepted the soup but did not accept it. On the third day, when I saw Zhong Xuan, he said: Do you want to take the soup? Zhong Xuan said: I have served. Zhong Jing said: If the color is not a diagnosis of taking the soup, why should you take your life lightly? Zhong Xuan still did not speak. After 20 years, he died in the next 187 days, and finally as he said. ”
The above examples are all contained in the history books, from which we can understand that those great doctors in ancient times cultivated their true nature and had noble morals, so they had special functions. Peculiar medical experience, and extraordinary medical skills, is not a problem. Doctors regard cultivation as a necessity and use it to diagnose diseases, cure diseases, or predict good or bad luck. Later generations of physicians rarely had people who concentrated on medicine and cultivation. The ancient physicians were indifferent and had few desires, so they could be quiet and far-reaching. Static energy can be settled, and wisdom will be born, and only then can high kung fu be produced.
The history is long, and the culture is even more extensive and profound, including religious culture. China's 5,000-year history eventually established three major religions—Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism—and the three major religions went hand in hand, competing to shine and exerting great influence on the thinking of the Chinese people. For Buddhism, people tend to think of monks and nuns, and for Taoism, people tend to think of Taoist priests and Taoist aunts, but people who have watched monks and Taoists in TV series often have a strange feeling - why are ancient Taoists all thin people, but monks are fat?
First of all, let's look at the Taoist priests, Taoist people generally pursue the way of immortality, so they will pay attention to health preservation. In the process of development, Taoism has formed its own set of theories.
As far as diet is concerned, Taoist priests will pay attention to the amount of food, and they often deliberately diet to ensure that they do not overeat and affect the body's digestive system. An important way for Taoist priests to pursue immortality is alchemy, and some pills have the effect of making people anorexic. In this way, it is naturally difficult for Taoist priests to become a big fat man.
At the same time, in addition to alchemy, Taoist priests often pay great attention to exercise, in order to have a healthy body, which is naturally related to the pursuit of immortality. In addition, Taoist priests like to travel around the mountains in their spare time, practice everywhere, long journeys, coupled with the unknown living environment, Taoist priests will naturally not become fat.
Let's take a look at the monks, monks generally need to practice meditation in the temple, except for going down the mountain to make a fate, it is difficult to see them in the market. As a result, they exercise significantly less.
However, monks do not do nothing for a day, and their favorite thing to do is to meditate. The monks hope that they can abandon all worldly ideas and wander in a world without interference, to explore the truth of the world and feel the logic of everything.
However, monks tend to be in a calm state of mind, and it is difficult to be disturbed by the world, which is very helpful for their growth. But such people are easy to have a big appetite when they are in a good mood, and at the same time, because the monks do not eat meat for a long time, their fat intake is not enough, which naturally requires too much rice to satisfy their hunger, so they eat one by one and become big fat people.
At the same time, long-term meditation and meditation are also destined to make it difficult for them to have the time and opportunity to exercise, although they usually do some work such as cleaning and carrying water in the temple, but these tasks only have a certain exercise effect and have little effect. Long-term sedentary and overeating, the monk's fat stool is also understandable.
So, if you want to lose weight, you can learn from the Taoist regimen, focus on a balanced diet, and exercise regularly.
You will find that in addition to the sword, the Taoist priest also has another treasure that he often carries with him, that is, the seal. The sword and seal can be said to be the standard configuration of Taoist priests, which originated from the ancestor Zhang Daoling.
Legend has it that when the ancestor ascended, he left a message "After I ascended to heaven, I left the sword and the seal of the Taishang to pay for the descendants", and since then, the seal and sword have become the token of the Taoist master and apprentice from generation to generation and the continuation of the lineage. In fact, in addition to being a token, the sword also carried many roles in the Taoist monk's monastic career.
In Taoist rituals, the sword is one of the important magic weapons used by high-level mages when practicing the law, and spells, obscurities, qi, talismans, etc., are often used in conjunction with the magic sword. The Taoist scripture "Hug Puzi Reverie Chapter" records: "Fu sword can but ghosts to ward off evil spirits", the Northern and Southern Dynasties period of the "Lu Yi Biography" also recorded the story of the Taoist priest with the sword to drive away the ghosts and gods, although it is a story, but it can also be known from the side that as early as the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the sword has become a magic weapon in the hands of Taoist priests.
Taoist cultivation focuses on strengthening the Taoist heart and cutting off the demons in the heart. There are two long swords in the shape of a sword at the button part of the robe, which is called the Hui Sword, that is, "but with the power of the Hui Sword, jump out of the Five Bitter Gates of Destruction", Lu Dongbin and Lu Zu explained the meaning of the Hui Sword as "one to break the troubles, two to break the lust, and three to break the greed".
Taoism is based on the dual cultivation of life and attaches great importance to physical training
Taoist belief culture not only attaches importance to sex, that is, the inner spiritual cultivation, but also pays attention to life, that is, the exercise of the body, in today's Taoism, there are many Taoists who practice traditional martial arts since childhood, and the sword is one of the main instruments of traditional martial arts, and it is consistent with the ethereal leisure pursued by Taoism, which is naturally loved by Taoist priests.
Taoist priests like to wear swords, and it is also related to the practicality of weapons and self-defense that are often practiced in the deep mountains, so in the Qingping world, magic swords are commonly used in scientific rituals, and it is rare to carry them with them
, when the title of the gold list. ”
How much attention is paid to the crops for a long time to get rain, so people rely on the sky for food, and most of the needs are to pray to the heavens, if there is a drought and little rain, of course, they go to pray for rain.
In ancient times, the ritual of praying for rain was even more exciting than the New Year. In ancient times, praying for rain was a major event, requiring local officials to organize worship and prayer ceremonies, and even worse, the king of a country presided over the prayer for rain in order to nourish the people.
In a year of great drought, people often pray to heaven for rain. Counting all dynasties and dynasties in China, there are basically records of praying for rain, up to the emperor and hundreds of officials, down to the common people of Qian, praying for rain, as a sacrificial ritual has long been there. And witches, as a carrier of communication between heaven and earth, often play an important role in rain prayer ceremonies.
"Tang Kexia, seven years of drought, Luochuan exhausted. Tang Nai prayed in the mulberry forest, cut his hair, and thought he was a perched animal. Pray to God. So the heavy rain always came, and it was in harmony with the four seas. ”
After Shang Tang Kexia, there was a great drought for seven years. So Shang Tang, who was both a political leader and the head of the sacrifice, cut off his hair, sacrificed himself, and prayed in the mulberry forest, in exchange for the situation of "heavy rain always comes, negotiate with the four seas".
Looking through the literature and ancient books, we often find a more cruel way of praying for rain by "exposing witches and burning witches".
As early as the "Classic of Mountains and Seas Overseas Western Longitude", there was an incident of "ten days of burning and killing a clown".
"The Classic of Mountains and Seas, Overseas Western Longitude": "The corpse of the harlequin, born and killed in ten days, in the north of her husband, with her right hand to cover her face, ten days on the top, the harlequin on the mountain. ”
It is set roughly in the mythological era. Before the Dayi shooting day, ten days of the same light, exposed to the earth, the heat is unbearable. At that time, people used the means of exposing harlequins to the scorching sun to achieve the purpose of asking for rain. The harlequin is a witch with great magical powers in the world, and often takes the dragon fish to visit Kyushu, but under the exposure of ten days, she soon died, and before she died, she tried to cover the scorching sun in front of her with her hands.
Although this is quite mythical, in the three generations, "worshipping people for rain" is quite common. For example, "Spring and Autumn Dew, Asking for Rain" contains: "Spring drought and rain, violent witches gather", and "Zuo Chuan: Twenty-one Years of the Emperor" also said: "Summer, great drought." The public wants to burn the witch. It can be seen that when there is no rain for a long time, "violent witch burning witches" is an extremely common way to pray for rain.
In the "Analects", there is a record of "bathing in Yi, dancing in the wind, and returning with a song". The pheasant sacrifice is the ancient sacrifice of praying for rain, and the "Rite" says: "The pheasant sacrifice is also a water and drought sacrifice, so there is a pheasant ceremony." "According to records, there has been an official ritual of sacrificing and praying for rain since the Yin Shang.
"Whoever prays for rain fasts one day before waiting for slaughter in the village. Dawn, handsome about the public. Take Qi, the community wishes to cut the drum twelve sounds, with the sacrifice in the society, singing bowing, goodbye, flat body, about the following are bowing, worshipping, flat. About Zheng Yi read the blessing, knelt, and the society read the blessing and said: 'Wei a certain month and day, the township is about a certain dare to pray for the god of the five soils, the god of the five grains, the emperor goes to the sky, shines on the earth, gathers the spirit of the earth, the god rains sweetly, and the things are born, and the saltiness is in place. But God bows down to the wishes of the people, and waits beyond his sight, and pries for it. 'Finish, sing, bow, bow, goodbye, flattened. About the right and the following are all bowed out again. The next morning the prayer is the same, but without the use of animals, the rain will stop. If there is a lot of rain and you want to stop the rain, you will beat the drums and beat a hundred sounds, and use your animals to the community, and say: 'The rain has been too much, the grains are not in harmony, the people are out of nourishment, and the injury is like this! The same is true of etiquette. Thanks to the rain and the rain stopped, all with sacrifice in the community. ”
Immortal magic has always been able to cause rain, and sincerity can return to heaven.
History records that ancient Taoist priests used the Qingwei Thunder Method or Shenxiao Thunder Method to pray for rain, for example, the Yuan Dynasty Taoist Zhang Shouqing, the Song Dynasty Taoist Lin Lingsu, and Lin Lingsu's contemporaneous Wang Wenqing, etc., will pray for rain, and have been rewarded by the emperor many times. Taoist priests pray for rain and often perform fasting. Taoist Jiao Jiao praying for rain, to set up a dojo, set up Jiao, build Jiao, recommend green words, pray for rain and pray for the gods, there are mountain gods, water gods, dragon gods, heavenly masters and temple gods, Zhucheng God and other gods.
In the twenty-sixth chapter of "The Legend of Seven True Causes and Effects", "Praying for Ganlin to Return to the Sky and Turn the Day", Emperor Yuan Shun Zhang hung the emperor list and asked the people who were pure and high to "pray for the rain". Taoist priest Qiu Changchun responded to the edict and said: "The rain altar must be set up, the emperor himself prays incense, and the minister then prays to God, and there is rain for three days." "Emperor Shun did what he said," Changchun prostrated himself on the rain altar and spoke earnestly. ...... Dip a willow branch in clean water and sprinkle it on the red sun. "Sure enough, it was raining heavily.
Qing Pan Chang's "History of the Golden Lotus Immortals" in the fifteenth chapter of "Liu Chuxuan's Horse Prison Praying for Rain", wrote that Haizhou "the weather is dry", "the state officials set up an altar, ordered the monks to pray, but there was no fulfillment", Taoist priest Liu Chuxuan, wanted to pray for rain, so that Zhizhou Liu Bangzheng "set up a three-zhang six-foot high and clean Dharma platform in the wilderness, incense and candles to offer", "and his wife personally led the gentleman in the state" and monks gathered on the Dharma platform, bowed left and right, when the rain fell, not to scatter, not to cover. When praying for rain, Liu Chuxuan "went to the Dharma platform, burned a talisman, recited the mantra, and struck with a token in his hand, and the dragon king hurriedly spread clouds and fog." The real person is lucky again, the two talismans are burned, the tokens are two directions, and the thunderbolt is booming. The real person contains spells, three burning charms, three tokens, thunder and lightning, and heavy rain. ”
Li Shangyin's "Prayer for the Rain of Zhengzhou for the Sheren Jiangjun Gong" said: "Zhengzhou Assassin Shi Li, I would like to invite Maoshan Taoist Feng Jiao to pray to the true official of Shuifu. In the Tang Dynasty, Du Guangting begged for rain as a Taoist, and the cloud of "Shu King Qingcheng Mountain Prayer for Rain" said: "During the rainy period, the agricultural mu is lost," "It is to use the cloud cave with the heart of the heart, and worship the fairy peak." The feeling of the true couple, the royal reach of Ming Cheng. Give the ministers to the right time, and save the ministers to the wind and rain. ”
Tang Dugulin's text mentions the female Taoist priest praying for rain in many places. "Yuchenguan Praying for Rain and Sighing Daowen" cloud: "The dry seedlings are frenched, and the cream is not sticky." Female Taoist priests are worshiped as emperors and follow the rituals to make wishes,...... Then the stone was not touched, and the rumors were sprinkled, and the wind was far away, and Russia saw the torrent."
Three
Where does the rain invoked by the ritual of praying for rain come from
He replied: The number of days is high-pitched, but even though he has internal cultivation, how can he mediate? He replied: The number of days is in the sky, and the idea of mediation has already been determined, and it is also responding to the situation at the right time. As in the past, when the capital was not approached, the county wanted to pray for rain. Before the practice is held, the county should not pray all over the place. One day is quiet, and suddenly the messenger in the air silently reports to the clouds: the days are drought, and the illegal can be cured. There is Lei Zetan in the county nearly fifty miles, in the place of Jianchang Xiuyuan, although the thunder god is ordered to seal the pool, he can also use force in the Taoism, and it is advisable to start with a talisman. Yu Jue, so he ordered the messenger to chase him. Sitting again, I suddenly saw an old man suddenly on the altar, and sucked the ink of the sun in the mouth to cover it. Before long, the sky and the earth were dark, and the light rain stopped in a flash. I can't feel it, and the drought returns. After asking the messenger, it was said: Lao Tzu, but the dragon god ear. He has disobeyed the order to get out of the hole, and the next light rain is a sip of water on the altar, but it is a retribution in the law. Therefore, he sent another chapter to tell the true king to ask for a decree, and then he got the emperor's decree, and it rained for three days before the drought could be restored.
Before Wang Wenqing was summoned to Beijing, the county where he lived asked him to pray for rain. One day, when Wang Wenqing was in meditation, he suddenly heard a messenger in the air say to himself, the number of days should be so dry, it is not something that can be solved by mana. Now, there is a Lei Ze Pond fifty miles away from the county, and the thunder god in it has been ordered to seal the pool, but you can use your kung fu on the Dao method and use the talisman to make it up. So, Wang Wenqing did as requested, and after doing so, he saw an old man on the altar in a trance, sucked a mouthful of water and sprayed it towards the sun, and it immediately rained in the sky, but a small burst of rain immediately stopped, and the drought could not be solved at all.
Wang Wenqing asked the air messenger, and the messenger told him that the old man was just a dragon god, he had disobeyed the orders of heaven and came out of the cave, and the little rain that fell was just a sip of water he sucked from the altar, just to deal with your spell call. So, Wang Wenqing continued to do the law, and played Zhang Fei to tell the real god of the rain, and sure enough, he got the will of the Jade Emperor, and the rain rained for three days, and finally solved the drought.
He replied: If this is the case, why are you moved? He replied: The law should be the law of the silent dynasty, and the fulfillment of the existence of the central government. When Yu Xi entered the pilgrimage, he met the fire master again and said: Zixing has a heavy committee in the court, so he came to report to you, but the number of days this year should show the early disaster, and the son can pray also. Then he knocked on the fire master, how to see the teaching. The teacher said: The source of Longtan Springs in the world is closed by the Jade Emperor, although there is a charm, its number is not full, and it is difficult to pray. Yu asked the teacher again why he taught me? He said: "On this trip, the Yellow River has not been locked, but it is appropriate to send a messenger, and the Yellow River is just borrowing water and drought." Yu Yixun went to Beijing, and the court prayed for rain. Yu Yu Thunder God, borrowed three feet of water in the Yellow River to relieve the drought, and after the Gyeonggi play, the rain that fell was muddy water. In this way, I can see the words of the fire master.
Song Huizong ordered Lin Lingsu to pray for rain, but he didn't expect that Lin Lingsu missed that time to pray for rain, and praying for rain did not work, so he hurriedly recommended a more powerful Taoist priest Wang Wenqing to Song Huizong, that is, Wang Shichen. After Wang Shichen received the holy decree, because that season was indeed not suitable for praying for rain, he discussed with his master, and his master said that today's number of days should be drought, not relying on mana to seek rain, and the world's dragon pools and water sources have been banned by the Jade Emperor, even if they use talismans to call, but the number of days is not enough, and it is difficult to make effect.
Wang Wenqing asked him what he should do? His master said that only the water of the Yellow River has not been blocked by the Jade Emperor, so he can still borrow the water of the Yellow River to solve the drought. Later, Wang Wenqing prayed for rain, and the rain that fell from the sky was all yellow muddy water. It can be seen that what he prayed for rain was the water of the Yellow River. This incident is recorded in "The Biography of Lin Lingsu", "The Legacy of Xuanhe of the Great Song Dynasty" and "The True Immortal Body of the Past Generations".
From the above two things, we can find that the rain that the ancient Taoist priests prayed for rain did not come directly from the sky, but from the earth, and directly called the water of the Yellow River, rivers, lakes, and even large ponds, which fell from the sky and turned into rain.
Since ancient times, there have been prayers and retributions. The rain prayer activity generally includes two stages: pre-prayer and after-the-fact prayer to the gods, and after praying for rain, there is also a rain thanking ceremony, and the prayer is rewarded to the gods, which is an indispensable part of the whole rain prayer process.
It is worth noting that no matter the monarch, ministers, or Taoists, whenever they pray during the drought, they all have words of repentance, such as: "The officials are really guilty, and they rely on the sum of yin and yang." "Political achievements are the sum of yin and yang. Corresponding to the repentance in the rain prayer ceremony, when thanking the rain, there are "forgiveness of the sins" of the officials, "the officials are derelict in their duties, thinking that they are worried; At the same time of "praying", we should always reflect on the real reasons for the drought and not rain, strengthen the awareness of fear of "sky", and establish the concept of protecting nature, which is the profound moral and political connotation and practical educational significance of the rain prayer ceremony.
When the Taoist priest opens the altar, the most commonly used is the jujube wood or peach wood sword, among which the natural lightning strike jujube wood energy is the most powerful, because of its rarity and great power by every Taoist priest as a treasure. Just as a jujube wood that has been struck by lightning, it already has natural lightning energy, and when worn on the body, it can resist the bad and evil qi close to the body, and can also bring auspiciousness and luck. Therefore, even ordinary people treasure it as a valuable item. Therefore, the thunder split jujube wood, also known as the "evil wood", is recorded in the book of Ten Thousand Laws and Returning to the Sect, and the lightning struck jujube wood is the first sacred wood to make magic weapons.
Peach wood has the effect of driving away evil and avoiding disasters since ancient times, peach wood is also known as "dragon wood", "ghost horror wood", in the ancient mythology "Shan Hai Jing" are recorded, Shen Tu, Yu Lei is later become the door god worshiped by the people in a towering ancient peach tree to catch ghosts, later people think that peach wood can ward off evil. Taoism makes peach wood into a peach wood sword, as a magic weapon to ward off evil spirits. Whether in Lin Zhengying's movies or other mythological film and television dramas, the peach wood sword has become the standard for Taoist priests, and now many people in life will also hang the peach wood sword as a feng shui ornament at home for good luck. The money sword is a kind of Taoist magic weapon that is handmade with bronze coins and red threads.
The Taoist sword is recorded in many historical documents, according to the "Lingbao Immeasurable Human Shangjing Dafa", it is recorded in detail the sword and size specifications of the Taoist mage: "Master Zhengyi wears the sword of slaying evil, which is two feet four inches long; Master Zixu wears the sword of the Purple Void Sunshine, which is two feet eight inches long; Master Dongshen wears the sword of Taiyi Sanyuan, which is three feet long; Master Dongxuan wears the sword of Eight Views of Huijing, which is three feet six inches long; Master Dongzhen and Master Dadong both wear the sword of Zhenling." “
Taishang Laojun awarded Zhang Daoling "three or five evil male and female two divine swords, each with the text of the stars and the sun and the moon." "The Taoist Spiritual Experience" records that the Heavenly Master Sword is described as follows: there are runes, stars, sun and moon images, weighing eighty-one taels, and it is often used to punish ghosts and gods, and cut fierce ugliness. On the day of ascension, the sword and the seal of the capital were left and passed on to the descendants...... Moreover, in the portrait of the Ancestor Heavenly Master, it is often seen that he is holding a sword. Moreover, when the mage is practicing the Dharma in Zhaijiao, the mantras, qi, and talismans must be used with the magic sword. It is often used to write secret characters, water and so on. The mage is one of the indispensable and important magic weapons.
"Pedestrian avenue, called Taoist priest. The body and mind are reasonable, only the Tao is followed, and the Tao is the thing, so he is called the Taoist. ”
As Taoist clergy, Taoist priests focus on spiritual practice and regard the pursuit of immortality as the goal of their cultivation. For thousands of years, due to the mystical Taoist ideology and theory, and the fact that most of the cultivators chose to retreat from the world, this has caused ordinary people to know little about the group of Taoist priests. Even in today's modern society, Taoist priests are still dressed in green clothes and robes, simple and simple, and they are also spreading traditional Chinese culture while saving themselves and others.
Most of the robes worn by Taoist priests are black, white and blue. This also reflects the Taoist idea of seeing the plain and embracing simplicity, pure heart and few desires. At the same time, black and white are also symbols of yin and yang, one yin and one yang are the Tao, and the black and white Taoist Tai Chi symbol is also a kind of image summary of the way of yin and yang.
The Taoist shoes worn by the Taoist priests are also simple and simple, including round shoes, double-face shoes, Shifang shoes and cloud shoes, etc., and the socks worn are all high white cloth socks. There are many kinds of Taoist hats, as the saying goes, "the Tao has nine scarves, and the monk has eight hats". The "scarf" here is the hat worn by Taoist priests every day. Although it is said that "there are nine scarves in the road", the content of the general is not fixed, and the most popular sayings are: mixed yuan scarves, Zhuangzi scarves, pure yang scarves, Haoran scarves, Xiaoyao scarves, lotus leaf scarves, sun scarves, one-word scarves, nine beam scarves, etc.
The Mixed Yuan Scarf is a hat worn by Taoist priests of the Quanzhen School of Taoism, and its shape is made of black paste into a hard-brimmed round hat, and the middle is open, so that the hair can be exposed. Since the Quanzhen sect abides by the precept of "Taoist priests grow hair", from ancient times to the present, Quanzhen Taoist priests need to have long hair, so they also retain a crown scarf similar to the ancient men's "crown ceremony". Only after the crown scarf ceremony can you become a Taoist priest of the Quanzhen sect, and you are eligible to wear a mixed yuan scarf. The term "mixed element" represents the Taoist view of cosmology. There is a cloud in "Seven Signatures of the Clouds": "Those who mix the elements remember before the chaos, and the beginning of the vitality." He also said: "The five qi are not formed, the three talents are not divided, and the two instruments are not established, which is called chaos, also known as mixed yuan, also known as yuan block like an egg, and five qi mixed with one" Therefore, the mixed yuan scarf is also considered to be the head of the nine scarves.
Zhuangzi scarf is also called Chonghe scarf, Nanhua scarf, legend is made by Nanhua real person Zhuangzi. Zhuangzi is one of the four great true people of Taoism, and in Zhuangzi's "Nanhua Sutra: The Great Master", he describes the real person as follows: "What is a real person? If so, they will repent and not be satisfied. If so, if you climb high, you will not be wet, you will not be wet when you enter the fire, and you will not be hot when you enter the fire. "Zhuangzi's ideas of quiet inaction and leisurely living in the world have had an important impact on the development and teachings of Taoism. The bottom of the Zhuangzi scarf is square, the upper part is triangular, like a roof, and the front of the hat is inlaid with white jade, so it is a positive hat, symbolizing good conduct.
Pure Yang Scarf, according to the "Sancai Tuhui": "Pure Yang Scarf, a Lotte Scarf, quite similar to the scarf of the Han and Tang Dynasties." There is an inch silk at the top, the fold is like a bamboo slip, hanging behind, and there is a cloud pattern on the towel. It is said that the pure yang is named after the immortal, and the Lotte is also named after the person. Among them, the word "pure yang" comes from the five ancestors of the Quanzhen school, Lu Dongbin, the word Dongbin, the word Dongbin, the Taoist name Pure Yangzi, and the self-proclaimed Hui Taoist. According to legend, Lu Zu often wore this hat before he was turned into an immortal by Zhongli Quan's patriarch, so Taoism named this scarf as a pure yang scarf.
The Haoran towel is a warm hat made of black cloth satin, shaped like a hood.
According to legend, Meng Haoran, a famous man in the Tang Dynasty, often wore this hat to go out to protect against wind and snow, so it was named. Therefore, Haoran scarves are generally worn by cold northern Taoist priests.
"Mirror Flowers" has a plot description of Haoran scarf: During the Tang Dynasty and the Wuzhou Dynasty, Tang Ao and his daughter traveled to sea with Lin Zhiyang and Duojiugong, passing through the country of two sides. The people here "all wear Haoran scarves on their heads, and they cover the back of their heads", and the powerful and wealthy people chat with them "with pleasant faces, full of humility, which makes people feel cute and amiable", and when they lift the Haoran scarf, they "hide a vicious face, with rat eyes and eagle nose, full of horizontal meat, a broom frowning, a blood basin mouth, stretching out a long tongue, spewing out a poisonous gas, and suddenly the wind is miserable, and the black fog is long." It can be seen from here that the Haoran towel will cover part of the person's face.
The scarf is a square scarf wrapped around the bun and tied with two long sword head streamers. "Fluttering like the independence of the world, feathering and ascending to immortals", the monk disciples of the Quanzhen School wear this scarf, between actions, the streamers are swaying, it looks extremely free and easy, very free, so it is named Xiaoyao scarf.
The shape of the lotus leaf scarf is similar to that of the Zhuangzi scarf, and the bottom of the hat is round, with a flat slope. The crown of the hat is raised back and upwards to show detachment. The front of the hat is inlaid with a hat in the center. The hat has pleats like lotus leaves, hence the name lotus leaf scarf.
The sun towel is generally worn by Taoist priests when traveling, especially in the hot summer, wearing a sun towel can play a role in shading the sun and reducing the heat. It is generally a blue fabric, and the inside is white, because the Quanzhen Taoist priest wants to insert a hairpin after pulling his hair, so he wears it, so the middle bulge is triangular, and the whole is like a Zhuangzi scarf with a big rim. Influenced by Korean dramas, many people think that the sun towel is a Korean hat at first sight, but this is actually a misunderstanding.
A word scarf is also known as a Tai Chi scarf, its shape is a simple belt, a word scarf is located on the forehead with a wooden buckle or jade buckle, each end is decorated with a hat, the two hats are stacked together, can be worn on the head. This is also the simplest of all the scarves, with a hat at each end, and the two hats are overlapped and fastened together, so that they can be worn on the head. In the Southern Song Dynasty Hongmai's collection of literary and strange words "Yi Jian Zhi", there is a description of a scarf: "In Shaoxing, the king of Hanjun not only dissolved the pivotal handle, but also lived at home, often wearing a scarf, straddled the mule, and traveled between the lakes and mountains, only to follow four or five people with the history of private children. ”
The Jiuliang scarf, also known as the Jiuyang scarf, has nine beams hanging down above the front of the hat. The number "nine" is the pole number of the yang number in the ancient numbers, and the hexagram of the "Book of Changes": "Ninety-five, the flying dragon is in the sky, and it is beneficial to see the adult." "The Qiangua represents the polar yang in all the sixty-four hexagrams, and it is also the hexagram that represents the emperor, and the "nine" is the number of pure yang, which is generally worn by Taoist priests of the Zhengyi sect of Taoism.
In addition to the above nine scarves, on some special occasions, such as the Taoist Zhai Jiao ritual, Taoist priests will wear some different Taoist crowns, such as the five old crowns, yellow crowns, five mountain crowns, star crowns and lotus crowns similar to Pilu hats.
Taoism advocates "naturalness" and "non-action". No matter how heavy the rain in the sky is, the grass without roots cannot absorb the blessings of the rain and dew; no matter how vast the Dao is, it can only be tempered when people have thoughts.
It is precisely because of this emphasis on the missionary concept of "heart and chance" that the ancients had the saying of "Taoism and virtuousness".
As the saying goes: "The way of heaven and earth: Bo also, thick also, high also, Ming also, leisurely also, long also." "If you follow the Tao, you will be successful, but if you are not, everything will not be as you wish.
Taoism also advocates that "humanity is not cultivated, and the way of heaven is far away", and while cultivating oneself, one must not forget the family and social responsibilities that one should bear. But on the other hand, if you cultivate your own virtues, family harmony will just come naturally.
Zhuangzi believes that renunciating the mind of fame and fortune, the wisdom of scheming, and the act of wisdom and ingenuity, experiencing the infinite avenue, wandering in the state of silence, and bearing the natural nature without boasting about oneself are also manifestations of achieving an empty state of mind.
In order to downplay fame and fortune, first of all, we must understand fame and fortune thoroughly, truly regard fame and fortune as something outside the body, and control the desires in our hearts; second, we must grasp the reluctance, which is particularly difficult to achieve.
If you don't really want to see the scenery, how can you come to such a place? However, your sincerity and efforts will let you see the fairyland on earth, and you will be rewarded.
The same is true of life, "Be a man and do things first, and be honest in advance." "The more sincerity there is to people and things, the more likely it is to succeed. A truly sincere person must be a person with an open heart, a person who will not change his original intention because of rumors.
The word "diligence" can cure laziness, and the word "prudence" can cure pride. Sincerity is dedicated and full-spirited, and the original intention will not be changed after a thousand twists and turns, and there will be a day when you can enjoy the beauty of life.
When walking on the mountain, when we reach a dangerous place where we are struggling to walk, we must be down-to-earth and not run and jump at will; when we reach the high place of the mountain, we must maintain a peaceful state of mind and not be complacent or get carried away. To be a man, the most important thing is to have a peaceful state of mind. When you are proud, you are not proud or show off, and when you are disappointed, you are not discouraged or decadent. In the face of villains, peaceful handling is far more courageous than roaring and angry, and in the face of tribulation, peaceful undertaking is far more attractive than complaining and complaining. It is also difficult to be a man in a peaceful state of mind. Nowadays, many people are in a hurry when they encounter difficulties, and they often fail to achieve it quickly, and some people make some achievements and then swell and swell, which is impossible to live forever, and in the end they fall even worse.
Lao Tzu said in the Tao Te Ching: "There is no greater misfortune than discontentment." It is a blessing for people to live in the world, and in life, the sufficient is relative and temporary, while the deficiency is absolute and eternal. Adequacy and insufficiency are materialistic, while knowing and not knowing are human nature. Sufficient and insufficient are not in things, which cannot be forced by man, and what is known and not in people, which cannot be controlled by man. Therefore, only by learning to be content can we treat everything in front of us with a detached attitude, not to be happy with things, not to be sad about ourselves, and not to be a slave to the utilitarian interests of the world.
Many religions have the saying of "salvation by faith", believing that as long as you believe in religion, or treat gods and respect religious people, you can get salvation, wash away your sins, and get good rewards.
Taoism not only does not have this view, but believes that after entering the Tao, one should be more responsible for one's own evil thoughts and evil deeds, because as a believer, one should have stricter moral self-discipline.
If you have evil thoughts in your heart, no matter how you burn incense and kowtow, it is useless, and if you do bad things, you will still be punished sooner or later; as long as your state of mind, words and deeds are above board, what does it matter if you don't go to worship when you see the gods?
Instead of praying to the gods to burn incense, it is better to practice the "three incenses" – that is, "heart incense", "body incense", and "mouth incense". "Heart incense" refers to being kind-hearted, having good thoughts, not giving birth to evil thoughts, not giving birth to evil thoughts; "body incense" refers to being a person with a decent body, being simple and kind, not doing evil things, and not doing bad things; "Mouth incense" refers to accumulating oral virtues, not speaking to hurt others, not speaking wild words, and not swearing words.
Nowadays, many people are superstitious about "easy to learn", and they often look at palmistry and faces.
There is a philosophical saying in "Caigen Tan": "If you are lost, the happy land will become a bitter sea, like water condensed into ice; It can be seen that there is no difference between bitterness and happiness, and the confusion is not two hearts, but only in a blink of an eye. ”
It means that when facing the same state with different moods, there will be completely different feelings. If you are in a good mood, the hardship will become a happy situation, and if you are in a bad mood, the happiness will also become a bitter situation.
So how do you create a good state of mind?" "Maintaining a calm mind and treating others with a generous heart will not only lead to a better state of mind, but also make yourself have more trust and love.
It's all from the Tao Te Ching, even if you haven't been exposed to Taoism, you must have heard these two sentences.
Taoism believes that the Tao existed before all things, and that "one" is one qi, which is the vitality that becomes the root of all things, and that with this vitality, all things can be born, and life is the concrete embodiment of the Tao in the world.
The lower couplet says: The earth follows the heavens, the heavens follow the Tao, and the Tao follows nature. In the final analysis, the origin and transformation of all things in time are just nature. This is not only a worldview, but also a universal wisdom.
"Tao is natural", in fact, the Tao is everywhere, exists between all things, which is simple and easy to understand, and "mysterious and mysterious".
There are all kinds of things in life, and everything in the world is nothing more than this. If you comprehend these four words, you will be able to achieve extraordinary results.
