(38) Intestinal adhesions

Intestinal adhesions can be caused by a variety of causes, divided into congenital intestinal adhesions and acquired intestinal adhesions, which can be complicated by intestinal obstruction. The degree of adhesion varies from light to severe, and the scope of adhesion varies from limited to widespread. Congenital developmental abnormalities, fecal peritonitis, intra-abdominal surgery, inflammation, trauma, hemorrhage, and foreign bodies can all cause intestinal adhesions.

Congenital intestinal adhesions can occur in childhood, and postoperative intestinal adhesions occur after abdominal surgery. Pain and discomfort in the abdomen, tenderness or percussion.

1. Methods and steps

See Figure 2-1-38.

(1) The patient is placed in the supine position. The surgeon focuses on the pain points in the patient's abdomen or focuses on the Daheng and Tianshu acupoints, and repeatedly pushes and kneades for 3~5 minutes, as shown in this figure (1).

(2) Connect the method, take the tip of the middle finger of the right hand as the focus point, and perform point shaking treatment on the above parts for 1~3 minutes, see this figure (2).

(3) The patient is placed in the prone position, and the position of the surgeon remains unchanged. Operate 3~5 times from top to bottom with the spine wiping method, see this figure (3).

(4) The surgeon uses the fingers of the food, middle and ring fingers of both hands to repeatedly rub the patient's diaphragm, large intestine, liver, gallbladder, spleen, stomach and other acupoints for treatment, and rubs the patient's spine from top to bottom with the root of the palm of the right hand for 3~5 minutes, see this figure (4).

2. Precautions

(1) If the patient is a child, the treatment must be gentle, and the force should not be too heavy, let alone hurt the skin.

(2) Patients with intestinal adhesions who are treated with the above should exclude cases of complete intestinal obstruction.

(3) The diet should not be excessive, and it is not advisable to eat too hard, too cold, sweet and greasy and indigestible food.

(4) The usual diet should be appropriately soupy, juicy, light, easy to digest and nutritious.
