(44) Herniated thoracic disc
Thoracic disc herniation is less common than lumbar disc herniation and cervical disc herniation. However, due to poor awareness, patients are rarely detected early. The etiology can be divided into two categories: first, more severe trauma, such as those of martial arts athletes; Second, the cause is unknown. A herniated nucleus pulposus can compress the nerve roots, leading to clinical symptoms, and some patients are unable to straighten their chest and back due to pain. Abdominal pain may also occur, and tenderness may occur in the back. CT or magnetic resonance imaging is diagnostic.
