287 Basement (Upper)

Eddard's exclamation reached Harry's ears.

Harry turned his head to look at Eddard.

"What's wrong?"

But Ed didn't reply.

Harry quickly turned and walked over to the wooden table, where he saw Ed frowning at the laptop screen.

At the bottom left of the screen, one of the camera windows did not have any images, and was covered with snowflakes.

"What's going on?" Harry was stunned for a moment, and leaned down to press his face close to the screen.

There are no problems with the other image windows, only the bottom left window has snowflakes.

This situation caused Harry to frown and tilt his head to look at Ed.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know......," Ed took a deep breath, frowning, "Maybe there was a glitch all of a sudden." ā€

Harry was puzzled.

"These cameras are the first time we have set them up, are they defective?"

"I don't know, or if it's something that interferes with me." Ed held his chin, his eyes full of puzzlement.

"Interference?" Harry scratched his head, "What could interfere with the camera?" Could it be electromagnetic waves? ā€

Ed shook his head, right-clicked the snowflake-filled window, entered the properties interface, and began to debug.

Harry looked at Ed, who was operating the computer, and clasped his hands in his arms.

"Where is this camera mounted?"

"Basement."

Harry turned his head to look at Corbett, who was standing behind them, trying to look but not daring to come over, the camera in the basement was placed by Corbett.

Corbett saw Harry turn his head and hurriedly asked:

"What happened to the camera in the basement?"

"Humph!" Harry stared at Corbett, "Didn't you install the camera in the basement?" ā€

"What!?" Corbett was startled and hurriedly shook his head, "No, I did install the camera, Ed also tested it just now, and there is no problem with the camera in the basement." ā€

"It's not an installation error, it's a loose wiring?"

"I don't know, I shouldn't."

Harry pointed to the door of the living room and said to Corbett:

"You go to the basement and check it out."

"I'm going?!" Corbett took a step back, looked embarrassed, and bit his lip, "I—I don't want to go to the basement." ā€

"What?" Harry felt a pang of irritability in his heart, and he stared at Corbett, wondering if this guy was sick in the brain and didn't do a good job, and dared to refuse.

"Hug, I'm sorry, I'm a little scared." Corbett lowered his head, avoiding his gaze.

"What are you afraid of?" Harry frowned.

"I, I ......"

"What am I?!"

"I think the camera is going to malfunction, maybe a ghost did it, let's get out of here."

"Who's special!" Harry pointed at Corbett and whispered, "How can there be ghosts during the day?" And whether there are any ghosts here, are you scared because of the joke you just made? ā€

"I, I'm ......" Corbett nodded with a look of resignation.

"Oh, who's special!" Harry was speechless for a moment, and sighed helplessly, "Why are you so daring. ā€

"I'm sorry." Corbett lowered his head and explained in a low voice, "Well, that horror movie I've watched before will have similar plots in it, so let's leave quickly." ā€

Harry shook his head, leaning over to look at Corbett.

"Well, since you don't dare to go, then I'll go to the basement and have a look, and if I find out that the camera is because you didn't install it properly, you won't be able to act with us in the future."

"Don't, don't! I really got the camera installed. ā€

Harry didn't catch Corbett, and was about to walk towards the door of the living room.

At that moment, Ed suddenly stopped Harry.

"Wait."

Harry turned to look at Eddard.

"What's wrong?"

"Corbett." Ed turned to look at him, "You accompany Harry to the basement to check the cameras." ā€

Harry interjected disdainfully:

"I'll just go alone."

Corbett bit his lip under Ed's gaze, hesitated and said:

"Okay, okay, I'll go to the basement with Harry."

"Hmm." Ed nodded, then looked at Harry, "You two go check it out, go and get back quickly." ā€

"I know." Harry glanced at Corbett, "What a nuisance. ā€

……

The two walked out of the living room.

Harry walked in front with a flashlight, the beam of which illuminated the dimly lit hallway, and Corbett followed behind him.

Harry glanced back.

Corbett looked nervous, looking left and right, as if monsters would suddenly emerge from the broken walls on both sides of the hallway.

Harry looked at Corbett's appearance and disdainful in his heart, this guy is a coward, useless at all, and when this shooting is completed, he has to discuss with Ed to let Corbett leave the team.

Thinking of this, the corners of his mouth hooked, smiled slightly, and unconsciously took a big stride under his feet.

Corbett, who was behind Harry, was unaware for a while, and when he saw that he was far away, he hurriedly opened his legs and chased after him, waving his hand, and shouting softly:

"Harry, slow down, wait for me."

Harry ignored Corbett behind him and walked briskly towards the end of the hallway.

The two reached the end of the hallway, where the wooden door to the basement was illuminated by a flashlight.

Harry walked over to the wooden door and reached out to grab the handle.

"Wait a minute!" Corbett's voice rang out behind him.

Harry let go of the handle, turned around, and held up his flashlight to Corbett, wondering what this kid was going to do.

Corbett was shone on his face by the beam of a flashlight, and hurriedly raised his palm to block his eyes, and whispered:

"Harry, wait a minute."

"How?" Harry frowned, "What do you want to do?" Don't waste my time. ā€

"I—I want to know...... "Corbett paused, swallowing his saliva before continuing, "Did the girl who was killed here die in the basement?" ā€

"Yes." Harry nodded.

Corbett licked his lips and took a deep breath.

"We couldn't just go in, and in retrospect, when I installed the camera in the basement, it didn't feel quite right."

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know, but there could be ghosts hovering the basement."

"Hehe......" Harry smiled and nodded, "I see, okay with that, you look for Ed now, I'll check the camera myself." ā€

"How can that be!" Corbett hurriedly shook his head.

"Then you don't talk nonsense." Harry looked at Corbett's face, and his heart grew more and more disgusted.

"I—I can't let you in like that."

"Fake, what the hell do you want to do! To go in, or not to go in? ā€

"I, I'm ......" Corbett gasped, "I'm definitely going to go in with you and check the camera." ā€

"Yes." Harry nodded, and turned to open the wooden door to the basement.

"Wait!" Corbett shouted behind him again.

Harry turned abruptly, glared at Corbett, and asked in a deep voice:

"What the hell do you want to do?!"

"We've got to get the white salt." Corbett took out the white salt that Ed had prepared for them from his pocket, unpacked it, he grabbed the salt cube in his hand and held it up, looked at Harry and said, "That's fine, just in case." ā€

"God!" Harry patted his head, feeling he couldn't understand Corbett's thoughts. He glanced at Corbett, "You can go in now, right?" ā€

Corbett nodded hurriedly.

Harry glanced at Corbett with disdainful eyes, then turned to open the wooden door to the basement.

Click! The wooden door was pulled open, and it was pitch black inside.
