Chapter 63: Hire a Hero Company
Rome was not built in a day, but the desperate housewives were.
Because the boss here can get a lot done with a snap of his fingers.
Desperate housewife, after the Miami incident, Belle accidentally acquired a nightclub.
Today, it has become a members-only club with a unique style and for lesser-known reasons, quickly becoming one of Manhattan's top clubs within a month of reopening.
This can be seen from the media's evaluation of it: if you are not a member of the desperate housewives, then you are not qualified to claim to be a high society.
In politics, First Lady Hannah Conway will come to New York whenever she comes here. In the business world, Stark Group CEO Pepper Potz was the first member here. It is worth mentioning that the second member is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. 10th level agent, a member of the Avengers, known as Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff. All three, along with Sharon Carter, received free memberships handwritten by Belle.
In return, they brought Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and many of the first lady's ladies' friends.
Not surprisingly, Deadpool's girlfriend, Vanessa Carlisle, rejects Belle's gift of membership card.
"I'm not the same as you guys in evening dresses," she said solemnly, but her hand was dishonestly flipped through the membership list on Belle's computer, "Tut-tut, look, I mismarked the gender of that tin jar." โ
Vanessa smiled playfully and pointed at the Tยท Remarks of the letter F next to the signature of S.
Belle glanced over and pretended to be calm, "Ah, this isn't Tony Stark. โ
"Could that be ......?" Vanessa's eyes widened suddenly, and she reached out to grab the membership card that she had just thrown back to Belle, "I regret it." โ
"It's too late."
Belle didn't give her any chance, and slipped away like a gust of wind, and Vanessa's desperate screams kept coming from behind her: "Come back!" Don't do this! Ask me for an autographed photo! โ
Coincidentally, another Vanessa unexpectedly appears at the Desperate Housewives Club.
In order to make the club what Belle wanted, Alvarez spared no expense (Gucci Baker's money anyway) to buy a gallery and transplant it into the club's lobby in its entirety. And the original owner of the gallery also became the artistic advisor of the desperate housewife.
This person is none other than Vanessa Mariana.
By chance, Wilson Fisk falls hopelessly in love with her, and in order to see his crush often, he also becomes a member of the desperate housewives.
Because he is a candidate for mayor of New York, the act of becoming a desperate housewife member is naturally interpreted by the media as a speculation by Fisk.
For example, the article in the Daily Clarion newspaper: "It is these ten women who support Fisk!" The president's wife is only in second place! ใ
In contrast, Hernan Alvarez, the club's manager, is exemplified by the American dream, a former street thug who has recently been approached by a publishing house to give him an autobiography.
However, despite being a manager, Alvarez himself is rarely seen in Desperate Housewives, and spends most of his time as a chauffeur and attendant for Belle.
But today, since the boss is here, he is naturally here too.
He was in a particularly good mood, not only recognized by his boss, but also given the opportunity to show off in front of old acquaintances.
He had just learned that Jessica and Luke Cage had been stopped at the door and was about to bring them in.
Wealth, fame and power will appear in desperate housewives of people, at least one of them. And Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, apparently, do not meet this standard.
Jessica was so drunk that she hadn't showered for at least three days. The black T-shirt still has the oil stains splashed on the meal I don't know which meal, the hardware on the leather jacket is a little paintless, the holes in the jeans are by no means fashionable taste, they are scratched, and there is a lot of dust on the shoes, which is obviously not taken care of.
Luke's outfit was much cleaner than Jessica's, even though it was a hoodie, jeans, sneakers, at least washed, and smelled of laundry detergent, antiperspirant, and cologne. But a six-foot-six-inch, four-hundred-pound black man who is clearly not a player in American basketball certainly can't be a regular here.
In a club of this level, the quality of the security guards is naturally extremely high, but even if the quality is not high, for Luke Cage's sake, you have to be polite.
They politely stopped the two.
Alvarez happened to see the two men's angry expressions when they were stopped.
"They are my friends, guests invited by the boss."
Jessica didn't know two sentences before she sent the security guard Alvarez, but Luke and him were old acquaintances, and there were many stories between them when they were in Haimen Prison.
Luke stared at Alvarez, who was dressed in an expensive suit, combed with delicate oil, and wore that signature pair of sunglasses, looking as usual, but his mentality was slightly complicated.
"Inside, please." Alvarez's tone was inevitably a little arrogant.

In the club, the owner's exclusive room.
Belle sat on the side, flipping through a thick dossier, her brow furrowed.
Jessica, who came with the dossier, drank glass after glass, and at this moment the second bottle of Bourbon was almost bottoming out.
Luke Cage sat next to Jessica, shaking his legs impatiently, and occasionally glancing at Alvarez, who was standing behind Belle.
"Hey," Jessica shook the empty bottle, "is there anything else?" โ
"Just give her a box," Belle didn't look up, but just ordered, "Don't take too expensive ones, it's a waste to let her drink like this." โ
Jessica crushed the bottle in an angry rage, "Do you know how hard it took me to find this?" Don't even drink wine? โ
"Do you know how much those two bottles are worth for you?" Belle waved her hand to Alvarez behind her not to act rashly, she sensed that the latter was about to pull out his gun, "The McLaren Whisky Rare Collection of 1926, selling these two bottles is enough for you to live for a month." โ
Jessica was definitely not the one who could hold back her mouth after being squeezed, so she immediately went back.
"If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been able to get this information in three days if you sold ten more bottles of this wine."
Belle rarely agreed with Jessica's statement, "Makes sense, I didn't expect you to be more efficient than the Avengers' intelligence network." Even if I invite you for these two bottles, but it's okay if you want ten bottles, my new store is open, and I can't stand your toss. โ
In terms of investigation, Jessica does have a set, in addition to her super physical fitness allows her to easily go to places that ordinary people can't go, she is more adept at finding clues from different angles.
When Avengers' agents search for satellite photos and surveillance footage from the road to find Jill Gemzman's unusually conspicuous flying machine, but find nothing, Jessica chooses to investigate the footage of the casinos in Las Vegas.
Of course, this thing is not something that can be seen just by looking at it, but as a good private investigator, Jessica must have her own way.
All in all, she managed to find out what all the casinos in Las Vegas were trying to hide, and not long ago, someone won a lot of money in Las Vegas.
"When was the last time someone won hundreds of millions of dollars from Las Vegas?" Belle asked.
"2333 B.C.E." Jessica said, "Don't you even know about such a famous thing?" โ
"I don't watch the news, how can I know about such a thing."
Belle looked at the investigation report, Jessica drank the newly served wine, and was busy with her own business, but she didn't delay idleness. The scene was very natural, as if they had known each other for decades.
Luke was left to dry, which made him feel like pins and needles all over his body. Of course, this is just a metaphor, even if she is as powerful as Mama Rong, she can't hurt Luke with a needle.
He asked, "How did you do that?" with a real black question. โ
"Eat more black sesame seeds and walnuts, don't drink tap water, only drink bottled mineral water, drink less alcohol, don't smoke, don't stay up late, and keep a happy mood." Belle said, her eyes still fixed on the report in her hand.
"What are you talking about?" Jessica asked.
"How to prevent hair loss." Belle said, gesturing at Luke's bald head, "I thought he wanted to ask this." โ
"You're still in the mood for a joke?" Luke laughed angrily, "That's dozens of lives, can you still laugh?" โ
"Sixty-three to be exact." Belle finally finished reading the report and looked up at Luke, "And then, which eye did you see me smiling?" โ
Luke's eyes widened and asked, "You actually know the exact number?" โ
"If you're curious, I even have a detailed list here." Belle gestured to Alvarez with her eyes, who immediately handed a list to Luke, "Although they are not all dead, the video function of the Spider-Man suit automatically records everyone present, and after a little analysis and comparison, you can know who didn't leave." โ
Luke looked at the list earnestly, his expression becoming more and more gloomy and painful.
He whispered, "I know all of them." โ
"Then you're not a lady," Belle said, "and I've asked Jessica to investigate, and I have to say that everyone on this side can afford to die." โ
"They're all ......"
"It's all corrupt cops, gangsters, and a bunch of brain-dead homeless people and vagrants," Belle snapped, "These homeless people are too much to say that they are innocent, but what difference does it make if they are dead or alive." โ
Jessica snorted coldly, poured herself another sip of wine, and said, "You rely on this to convince yourself that it is not your responsibility to believe that the deaths of those people are not your responsibility?" โ
"What is my responsibility?" Belle asked, "Did I kill them?" Or did they die to save me? โ
"If you really don't take them seriously, why do you have to check their identities one by one?" Jessica pierced her mercilessly.
"You don't understand." Belle said mischievously.
In fact, she is not a lie, and knowing that these people are not serious people can really help her feel guilty. But more importantly, as long as they are not innocent, no one can come up with a strong enough reason to blame the Avengers.
For example, if these people were just ordinary people, then the incident would be characterized as a vicious mass casualty accident caused by a fight between superpowers. But once it is verified that most of these people are related to the gangsters, and there are no prominent backgrounds among the dead, it can be said that the gangs of evil forces have premeditated attacks against the Avengers (Spider-Man) and street vigilantes (Luke).
In the second case, in another level of the game, Iron Man and others can have a huge advantage.
Jessica doesn't care about these things, she's not a member of the Avengers, so she doesn't need to think about too many complicated things. But Belle, who is a secret member of the Avengers, has to think about it.
But she didn't have to tell Jessica all about her worries. In order to prevent the female detective from getting to the bottom of the matter, Belle decisively chooses to bring the topic back to Luke.
"What did you just want to ask? How do we do it? โ
Suddenly asked, Luke found himself unsure of how to explain his question.
Do you want to tell these two women, who are called by the inhabitants of Hamley as the Divine Heroes, that they are unable to do anything in the face of the enemies they come to their faces, the deaths of their acquaintances, the powerful evil forces that may completely dominate the New York gangs, and the greatest crisis of his life so far?
The black man had been blaming himself for failing to protect the melon-eating crowd that day, but was saved by Belle, and today he learned that Jessica had found a lot of clues about the attackers of those two people, and he urgently needed to do something to ease his guilt.
So he didn't answer the question, but asked, "Now that we have this information, can we do it?" What are you going to do? Is there anything I can do? โ
"Really," Belle suddenly thought, "I'm going to go to Los Angeles with Peter and Jessica for a while, and in the meantime, can you go and be a bodyguard for Peter's aunt, the full-time kind?" โ
"Huh?" Luke thinks she's joking.
Unexpectedly, Jessica suddenly said to the side: "This is a good idea, should we talk about the cost?" โ
"Fees?" Luke didn't quite understand what Jessica was talking about.
"Do you think hiring superheroes is free?" Jessica asked rhetorically, looking at Belle at the same time, and said seriously: "I don't know how Luke charges, but I charge by the hour, and if I go on a business trip, I have to add money." โ
"That's a really good idea," Belle patted her thigh, "hiring a superhero feels like a great idea to start a business." โ
