Chapter 85: Self-Test Ability
I stepped on the ugly head of the dead bear goblin and kicked it to the side in the blood, accompanied by the four goblins next to me and the mutilated corpse of the goblin.
Now, the experience gauge is blank, and I'm already a level 6 Psychic Samurai.
As I thought, the magic circle that stimulates the potential of the soul is not so serious except that it must be reborn once and lose the first-level experience, but it makes me lose a fairly high-level experience, and the total loss is two levels.
It is estimated that after I became a Mind Samurai, because the original warrior class was replaced, and the skills and specialties of these two classes are not the same, so I had to fall back to level 1 and reassign, and the experience points were still retained. It only takes one moment to level up again with a slight change in XP.
Since I can only upgrade 1 level at a time, I need to sacrifice these slaves and upgrade to the current level 6 Psychic Samurai after 5 battles with them, uh, maybe I should say one-sided killing.
Akdina and the chief of martial arts generously agreed to my request, and after giving back my original weapons and equipment, they sent these slaves to me to test my sword. After all, the old records say nothing about success stories, and they are probably interested in them.
Of course, it's not just combat that can gain experience points, and it's not that I'm cruel and murderous, but the Mind Samurai is a class that is unheard of before, and it needs to be familiar through combat. That's why I didn't just take out the slaves, but repeatedly tested the Psychic Samurai's hand-to-hand combat abilities, ability displays, and psychic attacks on them, until their broken bodies could no longer support them before giving the final blow to end the battle.
Practice is the only criterion for testing truth.
Originally, I didn't expect the Mind Samurai to have both the hand-to-hand combat power of a warrior and the spell-casting ability of a mage, I thought it would probably be a main hand-to-hand combat class similar to a paladin with some spell-casting ability.
But through the above practice, I probably understand the ability of the Mind Samurai, which is not quite the same as I imagined before.
If you compare the Paladin and the Priest to two classes that are relatively close, the latter is more focused on spellcasting, while the former is more focused on hand-to-hand combat and has some special abilities.
Excluding personal attributes, class special abilities, spell casting, and other external influences, the Priest will not be worse than the Paladin's damage with the same weapon; The paladin wearing full-body armor and holding a large shield is no better defensive than the priest who is also equipped.
The main difference between Paladin and Cleric in hand-to-hand combat is the difference in health and accuracy. According to the comparison data I've read on the forums before, the ratio of health granted by the Paladin and Cleric classes is 5 to 4, and the accuracy ratio is 4 to 3.
As long as it is not a critical point that is killed by an attack, or a serious blow that causes a giant damage to cause the character to die instantly, then the higher the health, the more damage it can take, and the greater the chance of persevering to the end.
In reality, people who use kitchen knives for the first time often cut their fingers while chopping vegetables. In the game, when the character attacks the target, it is not the point where it can be hit, and the landing point of the attack will swing within a certain range. Therefore, if the accuracy rate is high, it means that you can successfully attack the parts that the armor cannot defend, or directly hit the opponent's vital weakness and kill it instantly, otherwise you will aim at the neck and cut the armor on the shoulder or be easily dodged by the opponent. If the accuracy is too low, they will even slash their own legs while wielding their weapons.
Although it was only tested in a few battles with no suspenseful results, I could probably see that the health and accuracy conferred by the Mind Warrior class were relatively close to those of the Priest......
As a level 6 Psychic Samurai, I've learned 3 Level 0, 3 Level 1, and 2 Level 2 abilities, and there are so few types of abilities I can master. And the level 6 priest already knows and is able to perform all the level 3 magic skills......
The conclusion is that the Psychic Warrior's health and hand-to-hand combat ability are close to those of the Priest, and the ability to display abilities is far inferior to the ability of the Priest of the same level to cast divine magic, but it is better than the Holy Warrior to cast divine magic.
If that's just the case, the spiritual warrior who is called a spiritual warrior who cultivates both inside and outside is just a waste material profession that is half-hung inside and out!
However, there are still some characteristics of the Mind Samurai profession.
You don't need to recite spells or make gestures to manifest abilities, unlike the magic materials required to cast arcane or emblems required to cast divine spells, although some abilities are revealed with a precursor...... Material, sound, and other visions, but most of them appear without warning and are well hidden. These are the things I learned as I continued to improve my knowledge (psionics) skills.
There are good options for the unique psychic specializations, but unfortunately a few of the interesting specialties require 13 charisma to learn...... I only have 10 points of charm, and according to the normal way, it is enough to add all the attribute values obtained by the character all the way up to level 12 on charm, but charm is the least important attribute of the Mind Samurai...... As a result, the attribute points obtained at level 4 are given priority to strength, and those few psychic specialties that require 13 charm points can only lament that they are missing.
The Mind Combat mode is unique to Mind characters. I haven't fought any other psionic characters, but I've tried psychic attacks on goblins, goblins, and bear goblin slaves before. Psychic piercing will succeed in about 1 out of 3 times, and will be stunned for 6 to 12 seconds...... Willpower affects the defense against psychic attacks, and even against these weak creatures with very low will, the success rate is so low, if the opponent is a mage, priest, druid, bard, or other classes that have improved quickly in terms of will, or a character like me who is naturally strong willpower under the influence of high perception, I am afraid that there is no chance...... It seems that Psychic Piercing is indeed not suitable for non-psionic characters.
So when I was level 3 again, I chose Psychic Blast, which, as the previous Martial Arts Master said, is the most effective and only range psychic attack for non-psionic characters. But this mind-fighting mode, which costs 9 psionic points at a time and costs the most, is not something I can experiment with at will right now. Alas, after reaching level 6, my total psionic points are only 23. The power of the Mind Blast is better to try later.
Alas~ I lost the price of two levels, in exchange for such a profession, I feel that I have lost everything!
Well, the Psychic Samurai has the ability to use psionic devices, and if you look at the unique items and equipment on Akdina and the Martial Arts Chief, will they be unique psionic items...... Maybe you can get some compensation?
