Caracas the Adventurer

Chapter I.

In the peaceful period before the Destruction occurred, a young boy named "Caracas" was born in a quiet village. Caracas was very petite as a child, small enough to fit into his mother's skirt pocket.

One day, Mom put Calacas in her skirt pocket and went to the field. However, there were so many moles in the land that day, and my mother and older siblings were so busy catching them that they didn't even know that Calacus had fallen into a hole in the ground.

Karacas, who had fallen into a hole in the ground, struggled desperately to climb out, but the more he struggled, the deeper he sank.

Calacas falls into the ground and sees a huge old mole. The old mole said to him:

"Son, why are you here?"

"Mom accidentally dropped me. I wanted to climb up, but I couldn't. ”

"I can take you up there. But in that case, you will be saved, and I will be captured and killed. ”

"I'll tell them not to arrest you."

"Alright, you can climb on my back."

The mole carried Karacas's back on his back, but instead of following his promise, he burrowed deeper into the ground.

"Stop! Why are you going down? Deeper, I couldn't breathe. ”

"It's all your family's fault for driving me out of the field, I'm going to eat you and go to a more habitable place."

Karakas attempted to jump off the mole's back, but was soon caught by its massive claws.

"I see. However, I grew up eating goblin meat, and it tasted fishy and not delicious at all. If you eat me directly, you will have a strong smell on your body, and even if you hide deep underground, you will be caught quickly. ”

"What then?"

"When I drink milk, the taste will disappear, so you can eat me when the time comes."

"Okay, so where is the milk?"

"Looking over the hillside you can see the plains, where there should be cows grazing. If you bring me there, you'll be able to drink milk. ”

The old mole wondered if Caracas was lying. However, it knew that human children drank milk, and maybe he was telling the truth. The mole was distressed for a long time, but finally decided to take Calacas to the cows.

The road to the plains is very long. It is much faster to walk from the ground, but the mole hates sunlight and can only walk from underground. Moreover, it also had to carry Karakas on its back.

The old mole was exhausted and panting, but Karakas did not run away. Because the mole runs faster underground, even if it escapes, it will be caught quickly.

Instead, Karakas grabbed the old mole's whisker and urged it to hurry. He also complained that it had been too long and that he was going to doze off. In this way, the old mole no longer wondered if Karakas was playing some tricks.

When he finally reached the plains, the old mole was out of breath and could not even speak. But he was bent on eating the tender flesh of the child, and climbed up to the place where the cow was.

Caracas jumped out of the hole the mole had dug and grabbed the long tail behind the cow's big ass with all his might. The cow was startled and jumped up. At this point, the mole had no strength to hide from the cows.

The mole is kicked off by the cow's hard hooves and lands on the beehive. The bees were very angry at the destruction of their homes and flew towards the moles.

Eventually, the abominable mole is stung to death by a bee, and little Caracas returns to his worried mother's arms.

Chapter II.

Caracas thrives and turns into a mischievous teenager. His eyes always sparkle with curiosity, looking for everything interesting; He also always has toys he makes in his pockets.

One day, Caracas's brother asked him for help. "Karacas, my kite has gone west, can you help me get it back?"

Caracas was a very fast runner, which is why his brother asked him. Caracas agreed to help his brother retrieve the kite.

There is a small lake to the west of Caracas's home. Since the weather was very hot, he ran to the lake to drink water, and suddenly saw a red shadow reflected in the lake. He looked up and saw that his brother's kite was flying on the lake.

The kite fluttering in the air flew towards the forest. Caracas suddenly became frightened. Because he had heard that the magicians who lived in the forest would use children as experimental materials. However, after thinking about it, he still mustered up the courage and walked into the forest.

The forest is overgrown with very old trees. I don't know how long I walked, but the magician's home appeared in front of Caracas's eyes. It was a small house with a gray roof.

He tried to knock on the door, but saw neither the door nor the window. The whole house had only hard walls. From the outside, you can't tell if there are any people inside. At this moment, a loud sound suddenly came from the originally empty place, almost like thunder.

"Little one, what are you doing here? Get out of the way, go back. ”

"I'm here for my brother's kite. It's coming this way, have you seen it? ”

"That's what I picked up, it's mine, you go back."

Caracas was angry, and the magician's actions were tantamount to robbers. So, he forgot about his fears and decided to enter the magician's house.

Small mushrooms grow in front of the magician's house. As he walked around the house, Karacas accidentally stepped on a mushroom. At this moment, a door appeared on the wall, which had been bare and nothing. Karakas was startled, but he mustered up the courage to step inside.

Inside the door is a long tunnel. Magic torches burned on the walls, and the tunnel smelled of rancidity, making it difficult to breathe.

I don't know how long I walked, but a huge room appeared in front of Caracas's eyes. In the room there was an elder brother's kite on the table, and an angry magician sat on a chair.

"How dare you break into my house! I'm going to turn you into a frog! ”

"I'm sorry. But that kite belonged to my brother. Please give it back to me, and then I'll leave. ”

However, the magician had no intention of returning the kite to him at all. Moreover, the magician also wanted to cast magic on Karakas and make him a servant for the rest of his life. Caracas quickly used his brain.

"Well, then I won't want to be a kite, and be your servant. I have one condition, though. I want a very tasty cake! ”

"Piece of cake!" The magician waved his wand and conjured a cake that looked delicious. The cake was the size of Caracas and was decorated with all kinds of fruits and treats. However, Karakas shook his head as soon as he tasted the taste.

"It's not tasty at all. What I wanted was a very tasty cake. Can't you conjure a cake like that? ”

The magician was angry. In order to show off his magical prowess, the magician kept conjuring up one cake after another, and a very small room was filled with cakes. Karakas secretly hid his brother's kite behind his back. The magician was too busy making cakes to notice at all.

The magician filled the room full of cakes and smiled triumphantly. "How's it going, little one?"

Caracas tasted the cake. Chocolate cake that melts your tongue, wine cake with a hint of bitterness, strawberry cake, and baked banana decorated are all delicious. And the cakes are the size of a bear.

"These cakes are about the same level that you can eat at an aristocratic party."

The magician was angry again. Because it means that the cake he has become is not up to the level of the king's food. So, the magician began to work hard to turn the cake again. Because the room was already full of cakes, the newly conjured cakes had to be piled up in the hallway.

"How? You should have nothing to complain about now, right? ”

"Well, it tastes much better than just now. But the king won't eat this kind of cake. The real king will probably spit it out when he tastes it. ”

The magician was so angry that his face turned red. So, the magician continued to wave his wand. The cake that came out of the top of the wand this time was very beautiful.

There are statue-like cakes made in the shape of heroes, and cakes made with melted chocolate that look like flowing river. Even Karakas sighed, and he became even more energetic in inciting the magician to make a bigger cake.

With so much cake, the magician and Karakas retreated to the exit. The cake was made by the magician himself, so he didn't expect Karakas to run away.

The magician was exhausted from the fact that he had changed too many cakes, and he was gasping for breath. He said to Karacas, "How? These gorgeous and delicious cakes will make even the king marvel at them! You can't be upset right now. ”

Karakas nodded, "That's right, it's like a cake that a king would eat." Eat it yourself. ”

Caracas pushed the magician hard to where the cake was. The exhausted old magician dodged and fell down the hallway full of cakes, his wand falling out of his hand.

Karakas quickly picked up his wand and knocked the cake next to him over. The hallway was full of cakes poured on the magician. The magician struggled to get up, but couldn't get up because there was too much cream.

"Help! Help me! I'm out of breath! If the cake falls over, I'll die! The magician screamed. Calacas quickly slipped out the door, and he said:

"Okay, okay, I'm not going to bully you anymore. How do I climb out of the cake mountain? ”

Karakas stepped on the mushroom outside the door. The door slowly closed. Before the door was completely closed and the hallway was covered in darkness, Karakas said in a loud voice:

"Wouldn't it be better to eat all the cakes? So that you can stay alive. ”

The magician thanked Karakas and promised never to bully anyone again. Karacas, who managed to escape, had a wand and his brother's kite in his hand.

In order for the magician to stop doing bad things, he broke his wand. Then, he returned home and returned the kite to his brother. From then on, the kites of the little children in the village will never disappear again for no reason.

Chapter III.

As a young man, Caracas decided to leave home in order to become a true adventurer. He carried his father's sword with him and lived a wandering life.

Calacas crossed mountains and rivers to a very cold place. He'd heard that there was a dragon that caused a blizzard and wanted to see it.

However, by the time he came, the dragon had fallen into a long sleep. Karakas was very discouraged because he wanted to talk to the dragon. However, he couldn't wake up the dragon for this reason, so he was disappointed.

"I can't help it, so I'll have to come back next time. I'll go somewhere else tomorrow. ”

Caracas thought so and wanted to find a place to spend the night, but there was not even a single person in the vicinity, let alone a village. Although you can fill your stomach with dried meat and dry bread in your backpack, it is impossible to sleep in a place like this where your body will freeze.

Shivering from the cold, Calacas walked around the neighborhood until he finally saw a fire flickering somewhere in the middle of the mountain. The sun was about to set, and Calacas hurried up the mountain.

Caracas was looking forward to the warm cottage where a kind-hearted old couple lived. However, it was actually where the bandits lived. It was so cold that Karakas put his hat on so tightly that he didn't hear them talking, and by the time he found out it was too late, the bandits had arrested him.

There were about fifteen bandits in total, and they were not local residents, but had fled here to escape the sweep of the Empire, and they happened to find this hut in the mountain, so they stayed here for the time being. Caracas sighed, lamenting his bad luck.

Karakas was tied tightly and locked up in the old warehouse behind the hut. Of course, both his backpack and sword were snatched.

There were two teenagers in fur coats in the warehouse. Maybe they had a fight with the bandits before they were caught, and they were covered in wounds. The boys looked at Karacas, and the two talked to each other. Because they didn't speak the lingua franca, Karakas didn't understand it well.

"Hey, I'm going to get out of here, can you help?"

Karakas couldn't help but speak, and the teenagers immediately stopped talking and looked back at him. Caracas saw that they understood the lingua franca, and relaxed slightly.

"If we stay here, we're either going to freeze to death, or we're going to starve to death, or we'll be eaten by hungry bandits. What do you think? Do you want to help me and let us get out together? ”

The smarter-looking teenager asked, "How do you escape?" We were tied up too tightly. It's useless to scream, and it's impossible for our people to hear it. ”

"Are you looking for your people? Maybe they're looking for you somewhere, too. We need to get out first. I have a plan, you just have to follow the orders. ”

"Well, although we don't trust foreigners, we will trust you once this time." The smart teenager and the big teenager nodded together.

Receiving the promise, Karakas kept twisting his body to untie his bonds. It's a little trick he learns before he goes out on an adventure. Caracas also untied the two teenagers. The freed boy was furious and said that he must seek revenge on the bandits.

Karakas pacified them first and explained his plan to them. The two teenagers, who had been full of complaints, listened to Karacas's battle plan and immediately expressed their approval.

Late night has fallen. The bandits, who had been hungry for a long time, had eaten the food of Calacas and had fallen asleep by this time. There was no moonlight that night, only snow falling silently. Suddenly, a strange cry came from outside the hut.

The bandits were startled, woke each other up, and ran outside. The sound was clearly coming from the warehouse.

However, it was not a human voice, nor a wolf's voice, as if it were a terrible sound made by a giant monster. The bandits were very frightened and quarreled.

Just as one of the brave bandits reached out to open the door, Karacas's eager shouts rang out from inside the door.

"Help! There are monsters here! He fell under the curse of the ice dragon and became a monster. I'm going to be eaten if I go on like this! Let me out! ”

However, the bandits did not open the door. Because they are afraid that they will also be eaten by monsters. The screams grew louder and louder, so loud that the whole mountain seemed to shake.

The bandits all covered their ears. Calacas's cries for help grew fainter and fainter, and at last he could not hear anything.

"What happened? Was he eaten? "What about the monster? Is the monster dead too? "It must have been that guy who fought the monster and then killed each other." The bandits came to a conclusion.

"Shall we burn down the warehouse, then?" "What nonsense. Monster claws are valuable. Sell that, and we don't need to be bandits anymore. ”

The bandits cautiously opened the door to the warehouse. This time, a flash of lightning suddenly appeared in front of him, and the lightning was so dazzling that it almost illuminated the entire mountain.

Actually, it wasn't lightning, it was the light of Karacas's magic. In the dark night without a moon, in the face of the sudden bright light, the bandits could not open their eyes at all.

The bandits covered their eyes and fell, and the two teenagers immediately shouted and lunged at them. The bandits thought that a monster had come to capture them, and they fled in all directions.

Actually, there are no monsters in the warehouse at all. The sound of the wolf howling was made by two teenagers, and Karakas simply amplified it with magic. In the snowy mountains, such a sound sounds particularly scary.

As soon as the bandits, whose eyes were pierced by the light, fled, Karakas rushed into the house to find his luggage. The teenagers also recovered their stolen weapons. They tried to flee before the bandits returned, but suddenly there was the sound of footsteps. And not one or two people.

"Oh no, I'm here to fend them off, you guys run." Karacas clenched the sword in his hand. Although he was confident in his swordsmanship and knew a little bit of simple magic, it was impossible to fight fifteen bandits and protect the boy at the same time.

However, the boys of the north, although younger than Caracas, were very good warriors. They said they wanted to fight with Karacas. Caracas was very touched and felt that he had made a reliable friend.

The three of them were mentally ready to face the battle and walked out of the door, but they were stunned. It turns out that the bandits are back, yes, but it's not just the bandits who are back.

The big boy shouted excitedly, "Patriarch! You've come to us! "It turned out that the people of the northern tribe who had come to look for the boy had found the bandits and were fighting them.

The members of the tribe were all big and brave. After they had beaten all the thieves away, they came to the boys. They looked at Karakas warily at first, but after listening to the explanation, they smiled and held out their hands.

"Thank you. The two of them are my brother and my friend's brother. The two of them said they wanted to catch the wolf and sneaked out, but they never returned. So we came out to find them. I didn't expect them to come here. If it weren't for that cacophony just now, I wouldn't have been able to find them. ”

It turned out that they had followed Calacus's magically amplified voice. They regarded Calacas as a friend and warmly invited him to the village. After three days of feasting, drinking, and playing in the village, Karakas embarked on his adventure again, blessed by all.
