Chapter 414: Adidas

Adidas has three major collections: the sports performance series (three stripes), the sports tradition series originals (clover) and the sports fashion series style (spherical logo) (divided into three sub-brands: Y-3, SLVR, NEO LABEL).

The three Adidas logos have not been around since the brand's inception, and it can be said that the history of the continuous evolution of the Adidas logo is also a testament to the continuous progress of Adidas, a world-renowned sporting goods company.

The Adidas three-stripe logo was first used, and it began to be applied to all kinds of adidas products in 1949, the second year after the establishment of the Adidas brand. It represents the sportsmanship of constantly moving forward and surpassing.

In 1972, adidas gradually replaced the early three-stripe logo with the clover logo, and used a more symbolic and beautiful clover to symbolize the power of sports that extended to the world, and at the same time placed its own brand on the vision of going global.

After using the clover logo for more than ten years, that is, in the late 80s and early 90s of the 20th century, in order to compete with Nike and improve its own sense of sports fashion, Adidas once again reinvented its brand's earliest three stripes into its products, as Adidas' most well-known (and most affordable) sports performance series (adidas performance).

In 1996, after a share takeover turmoil, adidas reactivated the shamrock logo and applied it exclusively to its adidas Original series, which was tailored for middle- and high-class sports enthusiasts and shoe fans, as distinguished from the sports performance series.

As for the adidas style logo, it does not have a long history, the Y-3 of the Y stands for Yohji Yamamoto, and the 3 represents the logo of the three lines of adidas, which is a new brand cooperated with adidas by the world's top designer Yohji Yamamoto as the creative director.
