In fact, carpenter's tools, that is, all the tools used in carpentry, have the function of warding off evil spirits, but the ink fountain is the most famous.

But here's a disclaimer that the ink fountain was not made by Lu Ban. That is what later generations worship Lu Ban and should add to Lu Ban, just like Kong Ming, in fact, so many schemes in the Three Kingdoms are not all his own business.

As for the reasons, it is more complicated, and in summary, there are two reasons:

First, Taoism, pay attention to this is not only our Maoshan Zhengdao, but the entire Taoist organization, that the things that can cut things and measure things are "Tao", the ink bucket is used for the main house beam, measuring the righteousness of heaven and earth, since ancient times, the evil is invincible, so the ink bucket can suppress all kinds of demons such as zombies and ghosts.

Second, the ink bucket is one of the weapons in the twenty-eight constellations, the axe is called the Kui wood wolf, the knife and saw is called the Lou Jin dog, and the ink bucket is called the ghost golden sheep. If you encounter a ghost pressing down on you while sleeping, you can't move, you want to shout but can't shout, you are terrified, as long as you use an ink fountain to flick ink outside the window of the room, the ghost will not dare to come in.

Of course, the most powerful thing about the ink fountain is that it is the most effective weapon against zombies.

The ink fountain measures the righteousness of heaven and earth, there is no deviation, zombies and even yin to evil things, the ink fountain just kills the zombies, if you add chicken blood and black dog blood to the ink fountain line, it strengthens the mana, and the ink fountain line is easy to control, take it and use it, do not use any law, and do not use yellow paper symbols, fast, accurate, and ruthless.

It's just a pity that in this society, most of the furniture we use in our lives is made by machines, and there are fewer and fewer carpenters, even if there are carpenters, they rarely use ink fountains, basically ink fountains have disappeared, so I guess you haven't even seen the appearance of ink fountains, right?

I also only saw it in my hometown, an old carpenter in our village, when I went to junior high school, my grandmother went to the old carpenter's house to customize a study desk for me, when I went to get the table, I saw a very old ink fountain full of ink, I already knew that the ink fountain can ward off evil spirits and destroy zombies, so I also secretly took the ink fountain in my hand and weighed it, holding it in my hand, I really felt very heavy.

Let's talk about glutinous rice.

In fact, glutinous rice can ward off evil spirits, this fact was not discovered by the ancestors and the ancestors of Maoshan Zhengdao, but after the founding of the People's Republic of China, our teacher Liu Ke came to the conclusion by chance.

I have to say that Mr. Liu Ke, a folk scientist, has made a great contribution to the inheritance and development of Maoshan art.

Therefore, Uncle Ying's zombie film uses glutinous rice to subdue zombies, and glutinous rice water to treat corpse poison is inaccurate, because the plot in the movie takes place in the Republic of China, and at that time, no one knew that glutinous rice was the nemesis of zombies.

As for how Mr. Liu Ke came to this conclusion, it starts with our ancient buildings.

In our ancient Chinese architecture, lime was used as a "cementitious material" to bond sand, stones, bricks, and stones into a whole. However, lime has many defects, such as poor water resistance and low strength, in order to improve the performance, the ancestors began to add a variety of materials to it, most of which can be eaten: glutinous rice, animal blood, brown sugar, egg whites, flour and so on.

The most important thing in this is the glutinous rice in the zongzi we eat during the Dragon Boat Festival.

It is easy to take materials, sticky and strong, and ranks first in the list of traditional building food additives.

It can be found in the ancient city wall, the ancient sea pond, the ancient tower, the ancient archway, the earth building, and the ancient fort.

But there is a strange phenomenon, the earliest building found to contain glutinous rice is not a house, not a palace building, but a colored portrait brick tomb of the Northern and Southern Dynasties in Deng County, Henan.

The next thing to focus on is this mysterious ancient tomb.

According to archaeological data, this tomb is a brick chamber tomb.

Archaeologists have found a particularly large amount of glutinous rice in the brick tomb wall.

Archaeologists have concluded that in the process of laying bricks, glutinous rice was used in the "ash compartment" of the tomb - mixed with lime and other materials, poured into the entire bottom of the tomb, put the coffin inside, and then filled the entire tomb. In order to prevent the collapse of the tomb wall, the cracks in the bricks are also filled with glutinous rice water, which condenses the essence of glutinous rice here and can strengthen the wall, which is the same as the triple soil of the ancient city wall.

In other words, the purpose of using glutinous rice water in the tomb wall is to increase the solidity of the tomb chamber and prevent theft, seepage, and corrosion.

There is some basis for this conclusion.

It is especially difficult to excavate the tombs that have been excavated and filled with glutinous rice water.

Originally, the ancients paid attention to the importance of death, and the burial of people to prevent their tombs from being stolen, and it was reasonable to use some special means.

However, Mr. Liu Ke discovered another unusual phenomenon.

First of all, it is the colored portrait brick tomb of the Northern and Southern Dynasties in Deng County, Henan, the dead corpse in it is quite intact, the thousand-year-old corpse has not rotted at all, the joints of the limbs can be bent, and the muscles can be bounced up with a finger press, which cannot but arouse the attention of Mr. Liu Ke.

So Mr. Liu Ke made a bold assumption that sealing the tomb with glutinous rice water is not so simple as reinforcing it, glutinous rice pulp is the essence of glutinous rice, which can avoid the spread of corpse qi or deceive corpses.

So Mr. Liu Ke did a lot of experiments and finally came to the conclusion:

Glutinous rice can also ward off evil spirits.

And through field investigation, Mr. Liu Ke found that in the south of our country, there are some remote mountain villages, there is a custom, when people die in the village, glutinous rice will be sprinkled around the coffin to prevent the spread of corpse gas, and every household in the village is sprinkled with glutinous rice at the door of their own house to block the door to enter the house, which also confirms the conclusion that the use of glutinous rice can drive away evil spirits.

But glutinous rice cannot be used to ward off evil spirits, and only works against zombies.

Black glutinous rice can bring down zombies, and white glutinous rice can cure corpse poison, but it only drives away zombies, not zombies.

As for the reason, Mr. Liu Ke explained that glutinous rice is an item with complete five elements in terms of the five elements of yin and yang. Of course, there are many items in the five elements, not just glutinous rice.

In the process of growing, glutinous rice absorbs the yin and yang qi of heaven and earth, and makes it more yang after artificial shelling, sun exposure, etc. And glutinous rice is one of the main grains of the Chinese since ancient times, in ancient times, whether a person has money or not, is determined by how much good land he has, how many harvests he has every year, so it represents blessing, represents auspiciousness, the so-called yin and yang two ways, this auspicious characteristic or aura, and it is the taboo of evil qi.

And glutinous rice also has a strong stickiness, sticky things themselves have adsorption, it will absorb some bad things around, such as corpse poison or evil gas. From the perspective of yin and yang, the so-called corpse poison often has evil and feminine substances. When these substances encounter a positive, auspicious aura, they will naturally be glued and dissolved, making it lose its ferocity.

So from then on, on the altar of our Maoshan righteous path, there is another kind of thing to ward off evil spirits: glutinous rice.

When doing the rituals, sprinkle the glutinous rice around, which can not only increase the aura of righteousness, but also have the effect of warding off evil spirits.

Therefore, whether from a scientific point of view or from the theory of yin and yang, glutinous rice is reasonable to remove corpse poison or cure zombies.
