Most of the peach wood sword, in the production, usually take natural peach wood, but the trunk, thick and bent, and easy to deform, so it is extremely difficult to take the material, after soaking, steaming, boiling, covering, drying, drying and other processing of eighteen processes, the treated peach wood is durable, the color is like copper, the fragrance is also human, and then the peach wood is hand-carved into a peach sword.

Note that it is hand-carved, so a peach wood sword is folded by the Taoist priest of Maoshan himself, sharpened and carved by himself, rather than by a craftsman or a machine or the like.

Therefore, to be a Taoist priest in Maoshan is still a technical job, not only to be brave and strategic, but also to be ingenious, to be able to go to the hall, to get down to the kitchen, but also to know some carving, and even needlework.

As for this peach wood, don't look at it as just an ordinary wood, and those red sandalwood, golden silk nanmu, Hainan huanghuali, it can't be compared, but this peach wood has a great origin.

Just look at the aliases of peach wood: "fairy wood", "dragon descending wood" and "ghost wood".

Which name is not well-known, no matter how precious the rosewood is, it is not as famous as the "fairy wood".

The ancients believed: "Peach wood, the essence of the five woods, so those who suppress the evil spirit, the essence of the peach wood is born in the ghost gate, and the hundred ghosts are controlled", so the fairy wood is also.

There are several legends about peach wood as fairy wood:

The first one, you have all heard the story of Kuafu chasing the sun, we all know the ending, Kuafu died, how did he die, of course, he died of thirst, but what about after he died of thirst? I don't know, it's not said in the book, and the teacher doesn't teach it.

However, Kuafu has a magic weapon of great tenacity, which accompanies his life, and when Kuafu dies of thirst, he will eventually be buried here with him, this magic weapon is the cane made of a peach tree heart that has been born for 10,000 years when Kuafu collected a wisp of chaotic qi that existed at the beginning of heaven and earth.

What is it? This is a sacred tree, a sacred tree has a spirit!

So in the end, after the death of Kuafu, the cane naturally turned into a peach grove, supporting a green shade, and the peach tree was full of luscious fruits, showing its loyalty to its master!

Second, you know Shen Tu and Yu Lei, right? These two are the door gods that our people believe in, I don't know if you have noticed, when we celebrate the New Year, every household on the door of the portrait of these two door gods, the two of them do not have any magic weapons in their hands, just holding an ordinary long sword in one hand, if you observe carefully, you will find that this long sword is a peach wood sword.

According to legend, I don't know where, there is a ghost world, in this world, there is an unknown mountain, there is a big peach tree covering 3,000 miles on the mountain, and on the treetops, there is always a golden rooster.

Whenever the golden rooster crows in the morning, the ghosts that wander out at night will drive back to the ghost realm. The gate of the Ghost Domain is located in the northeast of the peach tree, and there are two people standing by the door, these two people are Shen Tu and Yu Lei.

If the ghost does something unreasonable at night, Shen Tu and Yu Lei will immediately find out and catch it, and kill the demon with a peach sword to keep the people safe. So the people carved their appearance with peach wood and placed it at the door of their house to ward off evil and prevent harm. Later, people simply carved the names of Shen Tu and Yu Lei on the peach wood board, believing that this could also suppress evil and eliminate evil. This kind of mahogany plank later became the prototype of the mahogany sword.

After reading "Journey to the West", Mr. Liu Ke pulled out "Journey to the West" again, and I found that our Maoshan Zhengdao has a deep relationship with "Journey to the West".

Teacher Liu Ke said "Journey to the West", what is the reason why Sun Wukong made trouble in the Heavenly Palace? The fundamental reason is that the Queen Mother's peach banquet did not invite Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong was annoyed and angry, turned into a barefoot immortal, and disrupted the peach banquet.

Students who have read "Journey to the West" can make up such a plot in their brains, after Sun Wukong ate and drank enough at the peach banquet, he saw so many melons and fruits, and said to himself, "There are so many fresh fruits, my grandson will bring them back to Huaguo Mountain and give them a taste for the children." So he put everything into a Qiankun bag and took it back with him.

The fresh fruits that Sun Wukong brought back were mainly peaches, so the monkeys in the Water Curtain Cave ate the peaches that Sun Wukong brought from the peach banquet, threw away the peach hulls everywhere, and grew peach trees in the second year, and the more they grew, the peaches that came out were called fairy peaches, and the peach trees naturally became fairy trees.

In fact, the Maoshan technique was created by the ancestor at the beginning, when fighting with demons and monsters, he was bare-handed, but the result was that although he destroyed the other party, and he would be injured, the ancestor would cut the peach wood as a sword, and use the peach wood sword as a weapon to kill the demons, which has been passed down from generation to generation and has been passed down to this day.

However, our Maoshan Taoist Taoist's peach wood sword is not like the sword of those sects in martial arts, passed down from generation to generation by the head, we are one person and one sword, and we must carve and make it ourselves, if you take someone else's peach wood sword, even if it is the peach wood sword used by the ancestor master, it is also a waste wood, without any mana.
