Chapter Twenty-Five: The Night Exploration Institute

The Batmobile quietly tracked the target on the radar to the St. Lawrence Research Institute in the suburbs. Bruce narrowed his eyes as he watched the small box cart slowly drive in through the gate.

After finding a place to hide the Batmobile, Bruce quietly avoided the Institute's alarm system and came to the main building, glanced at the doorman sitting in the position, Bruce finally chose to enter the main ventilation duct of the Institute, and followed the main ventilation pipe Bruce to the warehouse where the box car was parked.

Looking down through the ventilation duct, two men in white coats were carrying boxes from Wayne Manor down from the box cart.

The sight caused Bruce to wonder. The whole researcher is an accomplice of the Mad Hatter? This shouldn't be the case, and as soon as he found out that the Mad Hatter was working in the Academy, he immediately investigated everyone in the Academy. He was convinced that the institute was a formal institution, and that none of the people in it had any criminal records, and he even questioned a few people on the side, but no one knew that the Mad Hatter and Jervis were the same person. Of course, it does not rule out that someone is lying.

"Hey! Be careful, it's all precious antiques! ”

The Mad Hatter's characteristic voice let out a squealing of dissatisfaction, and Bruce looked down through the vent to see the Mad Hatter tapping his cane against one of the guys carrying the box, while in front of him was a scattered cardboard box from which Alfred's carefully packed books and paintings were scattered.

Bruce's attention was not on the scattered paintings and books, but on the guy who stood in place and let the mad hatter beat him.

"Yes, there's another possibility...."

Another possibility is that the Mad Hatter hypnotized these people to work for him. Looking at the few people who were busy carrying the goods below, Bruce didn't immediately go down to arrest them, but continued to move along the ventilation pipe towards the location of the general security room of the security supervision, and his priority now was to confirm how many people in this research institute were hypnotized, and how many were the accomplices of the Mad Hatter.

He took Bruce. Wayne's identity had visited every corner of the institute, and he was well aware of the location of the security room, and soon came to the nearest vent to the security room. The railing of the vent that was quietly removed can clearly see the door of the security room that should be closed diagonally opposite, and there is a small gap open at the moment.

He took out the hypnotic gas from his pocket and threw it through the gap, and soon the hypnotic gas filled the room. After waiting for a while, Bruce entered the security room with a gas mask. Two men in security uniforms were slumped in their chairs at the moment, completely unconscious.

Bruce ignored the two men and set his sights on the surveillance screen. The small squares on the screen show what is happening in all parts of the Institute, including the garage just now.

But at the moment there was no one in the garage at all, only the small box car was still parked there.

Bruce quickly scanned all the screens, and soon spotted the two researchers who might have been hypnotically controlled. At this moment, they were standing in front of the door of the Mad Hatter's research room, but there was no Mad Hatter in the monitoring room.

Carefully scanning each of the surveillance screens one by one, Bruce was convinced that the Mad Hatter was not in the surveillance footage.

Where will he go? There was no reason for the Mad Hatter to leave in such a short period of time, and the box car was still parked in the garage, and everything was moved, so the Mad Hatter would not leave. Unless there is space that is not covered by the architectural drawings.

Bruce immediately pulled up the 3D architectural drawings of the St. Lawrence Institute from his laptop computer, and found nothing unusual.

"Are you looking for me?"

While Bruce was concentrating on the map, the voice of the Mad Hatter came from the door.

"Oh, don't look at me like that, we've fought a lot of times, you know us, and we know your behavior patterns in the same way"

This is not the Mad Hatter alarmist, in many battles, Bruce is familiar with the behavior patterns of every criminal in Gotham, but at the same time, Batman's behavior pattern is also known to the criminals in Gotham.

"You like to be in control, so you always like to take control of a place, like a condescending roof... Or this kind of monitoring room where you can see the whole research institute."

"Where's the thing?"

Batman's characteristic voice conveys something that the Mad Hatter likes.

"You're really boring, forget it, you're going to die here anyway. Get him! ”

With the mad hatter's order, several security guards rushed out from behind him and pounced on Batman in unison.

Bruce naturally didn't take a few security guards in his eyes, and they couldn't be his opponents when they were sober, let alone in a state of ** vertical.

Dodged the two security guards in front, tripped the third leg and made up for his ass, because of inertia, this poor guy directly hit a security guard in front, and the two people were pushed out by the huge inertia for a distance and finally knocked over the chair in front of the screen, and the two security guards who were originally sleeping on the chair fell down and pressed the two people to death.

Bruce dodged the fourth security guard's attack and grabbed him by the collar and threw him back, allowing him to make a close contact with the guy who had turned around and was about to attack Bruce from behind.

After taking out the four security guards who attacked him, Bruce didn't immediately go up to arrest the Mad Hatter, who was technically a little too calm, which made him feel alarmed.

"Oh, yes, so what?"

The Mad Hatter snapped his fingers, and the six security guards who had been lying on the ground and couldn't move all stood up at this moment.

Bruce watched this scene in amazement, and what surprised him the most was not that they could still stand up, but that they were still in a hypnotic state when they stood up.

Pain, piercing, infrequent screams are all conditions that can get a person out of a hypnotic state.

The Mad Hatter is indeed good at hypnosis, but hypnosis and brainwashing control are not the same thing at all, so why are these six guys still in a controlled state?

Reality didn't give Bruce much time to think, and it wasn't a pleasant thing to be stared at by six pairs of dumbfounded eyes.

The six men pulled their pistols out of their bosoms this time, and Bruce didn't even think about breaking down the door at once, while the mad hatter, who had been standing and watching the play, ran to get there.

"Monitor the surroundings of this institute"

Bruce dodged the gunfire behind him while communicating with Alfred via communicator.

"Mr. Course"
