Chapter 62: Water and Fire
Demons don't seem to get tired, which seems to be similar to necromancy. But if there's any difference between a demon and a bone frame, it's the difference in strength. Those skeletons weren't much of a threat, but the demons in front of Julius were completely different. His claws kept falling on Julius, who was tired of coping, showing no signs of slowing down, even getting faster and faster. Eventually, he knocked Julius into the air, and Julius flew into the air and then rolled to the ground like a fireball.
The powerful blow of the flame demon caused Julius to pull the distance away, but when he got up from the ground, it could never be said that there was nothing at all. Julius coughed a few times, if he was usually hit by such an impact, he was afraid that he would cough up blood, but in such a hot environment, his mouth was about to crack open, and the blood was directly evaporated. He himself felt incredible, in such a high temperature environment when the whole person was burning, he actually survived, and the feeling of pain became more and more blurred.
Now the hall was bright enough without those orbs of light—the demon was a dazzling flame that lit up the entire space. The air in the hall was all warm, and sparks and heat waves spread outward layer by layer, filling the entire space. At the feet of the demons, patches of fire erupted from the floor. The demon was walking towards Julius, his tracks turning into flaming footprints behind him.
Julius held the broken sword in front of him, keeping an eye out for a way to escape behind him. The exit was behind him, but he was worried that if the demon followed, he would be able to escape. Regardless of whether he can escape or not, if he catches up with Rei when he escapes, he may not be the only one who will die.
"Why, you're still alive?" the demon said hoarsely as he walked towards Julius, "You are a living man, and a living man cannot withstand the purification of fire. ”
"Probably because my body has been soaked in seawater for a while, so it doesn't burn so easily. At times like these, Julius is still in the mood for a joke. I heard that when people are about to die, they will let go of all their burdens, and those who don't laugh will make a few jokes and die calmly...... Julius thought that perhaps he was in such a state. And he wasn't lying, he was soaking in the sea for some time, beaten by the waves, until his body got used to everything in the sea.
"You think my flame is the ridiculous candlelight of you mortals?" the demon looked even angrier—though he had been angry, "I'm going to burn you to ashes and burn your soul like firewood!"
The demon lunged at Julius, who sideways dodged the stabbing claws, and then took another blow from the demon. This time Julius did not roll to the ground, but only shifted backwards, and after several steps back, he barely stopped. This caused Julius to let out a muffled grunt, and he felt that his arm was about to be torn apart, and if he hadn't gotten used to the pain, he might have lost the will to fight.
"Human, die!" the demon seemed to grow larger, and Julius wondered if it was his delusion, or if the demon's body was swelling with anger, and the flames on the demon's body became more vigorous. The broken sword in Julius's hand has turned into a red iron rod, if the opponent is flesh and blood, this weapon can cause very lethal damage, but if the opponent is a demon with flames, this may not be of much use.
The demon's claws swung down, and Julius rolled to the side, dodging the blow that smashed the floor. The demon's claws slammed into the ground, and swept aside, bringing up pieces of rubble and sweeping towards Julius. Julius crawled and rolled away from the demon's claws and the rubble, and was in a state of confusion.
"Why aren't you dead yet, you nasty rat!" the demon roared, then made an indeterminate voice as it continued to pounce on Julius. Julius glanced at the broken sword in his hand, sideways to dodge the demon's attack, and rushed forward, the broken sword stabbed the demon in the abdomen. After the broken sword stabbed inside, Julius gripped the hilt of the sword with both hands and tore a hole in the demon's abdomen.
The demon let out a roar of pain. The heat and flames didn't hurt him, but that didn't mean Julius couldn't hurt him.
Julius was also shouting loudly, giving himself courage, as if this would give him strength and no longer fear the demons in front of him. He did it, and he, who had been passive, finally fought back against the demons.
The demon's claws landed on Julius' back, and the sharp claws pierced into his back, causing Julius to scream in pain.
"You stubborn little mouse!" the demon's flames erupted again, enveloping Julius. Julius's flames, which had been almost extinguished, grew vigorous again, turning him into a ball of flame. "Die, give me death!" the demon's claws grabbed Julius by the waist and tried to break him in the middle. Julius's broken sword slowly moved up the demon's body, tearing wider and bigger holes in the demon's body, making the demon more painful - and it seemed to weaken his strength, Julius felt that his back didn't hurt so much, and the claws that gripped his waist didn't seem to have any strength. Julius hoped that things would get better as he thought, not that he was no longer in intense pain at the time of his experience.
"I'm not going to die, I can't die in a place like this!" Julius looked up, and the broken sword continued to pull upward, tearing open the wounds on the demon's body. "Damn it, a demon like you!"
The demon uttered a series of high-pitched syllables in such a terrible voice that Julius felt like his ears were about to be torn apart. But there was no way to stop him from the sound of this level, and he had heard more uncomfortable sounds than that, and that was when he first met Lulunaka - the screaming lady's bomb had made him very sensitive and repulsive to screaming for a while.
Julius and the demon were glued together, and from a distance, it looked like two flames had come together.
In the next moment, there was a huge movement from the ceiling. Through the hole in the ceiling, a large amount of water came out.
