Chapter 61: Flames
Flames lit up the space, and the heat hit Julius's cheek, almost keeping him open. Once a young black-robed existence, now there is no trace of being a human anymore. That slender flame humanoid is not an exaggeration to say that it is a demon. Julius had never seen a real demon, at least not in reality, but if the creature in front of him could not be called a demon, then there would be no horror in this world that could be written into a story to scare children.
The demon was screaming and roaring, and two voices that shouldn't have been at the same time came out of the demon's mouth and turned into sound waves that shook the hall.
It's not a good sound, and it hurts in people's eardrums. Julius held a sword in both hands and covered his face with both arms. Waves of heat emanated from the demon's body, forming a ring of fire that spread around him—no one or foe.
The old black-robed man tried to call out to the young man, but the demon did not respond, and did not seem to care much about his "companion", and kept his attention on Julius. When the demon began to attack indiscriminately, the old black-robed man could only hide far away, blocking the ring of fire with a protective spell.
The ring of fire spread on the ground, leaving patches of flame burning on the ground wherever it went, and the most dazzling circle rushed towards Julius.
Julius was already backing away, and when he realized that the ring of fire was faster than he could escape, he did not hesitate to stand still and face the fire that was coming at him.
The ring of fire "swept" Julius' body and set Julius on fire again. The clothes on his body burned again, and Julius rushed at the demon, stabbing him with the broken sword in his hand. The demon was also waving its slender flame claws and lunging at him. The moment the man and the demon came into contact, flames exploded, sparks flew everywhere, and the flames turned into pieces and drifted into the surrounding space. The old black-robed man watched from afar, and the scorching flames made his eyes ache, forcing him to reach out and cover his eyes from the sparks.
"Human, flesh and blood...... Burn to charcoals and turn to ashes!" The demon's claws fell on Julius' broken sword, which burned red, and the heat spread to Julius' palm and face. There seemed to be no trace of the young black robe on the demon's body, and in the words with flames, only endless anger and rage could be heard, which was completely different from the gloomy young black robe.
"Are all demons like you?" said Julius, sweat was dripping from his face, and before he could hit the ground, it was evaporated into gas. He felt as if the blood in his body was about to be burned dry, his throat was uncomfortably dry, and his head was very hot. He cut off the arms of the young black-robed man, but the demon's hands and feet were intact, without any mutilation. The thing in front of him is indeed no longer a young black robe, at least not now.
The old black robe knew more about demons, and when he saw his young colleague make such a move, he was shocked and felt that this was not a strange choice. Because they didn't intend to let go of the two huge rats that suddenly broke in in the first place, when things got to the point where the young black robe was taken hostage, the situation never seemed to turn around—at least that's what the young man thought.
He knew the young companion well. has talent, at such an age, he has a magical attainment that is not inferior to an old fellow like him, and because of this talent, he has the capital of pride, and has always put himself in a very high position, and ordinary people are just a group of vulgar walking dead in his eyes. How could such a young man endure the humiliation of being controlled by a mouse? and with his life on the verge of dying, he did make the only choice he could, even if it was not a good choice.
It's not a good thing to turn yourself into a demon, this should be the last line of defense for the young black robe. This is a young man who has a lot of knowledge about demons, and it is not a strange thing to be able to communicate with demons, and it is not a strange thing to let demons possess him—the problem is how to get demons to leave obediently. The side effects and costs of letting the demon descend on the possession are not small, and the demon does not have the idea of judging friend or foe. So the old man was far away from the beginning, and he was ready to leave at any time. He couldn't deal with such a demon alone, and if he wanted to save the young man, he had to think about his own life before that. Now his best option is to find support, as long as there are more people, then it will be very easy to deal with two rats or suppress this demonized companion.
The old black robe felt that the two of them who stayed behind were really unlucky, but there was such an accident at this time.
He stayed out of the way, only avoiding and blocking the flames and rings of fire, and Julius was far from so easy. He had to deal with the heat that was about to roast him dry, and the fire on his body. The flames burned on him, and he looked like a fellow demon, but it was just the thing that looked like it was on the outside.
The demon's claws were swinging wildly, like a hammer, sparks in the air like slashing blades. Each of his blows fell on Julius's broken sword, and Julius was already trying his best to defend it, but he was still beaten backwards, and there were many wounds on his body. The wounds were scorched before they were bleeding, which saved Julius of the fear that he might lose his strength from blood loss - Julius had tried to be as optimistic as possible, not thinking about the terrible thing that he would die, he was afraid that he would lose his strength because of the fear of death, and then be torn apart by the demon in front of him, and burned into several pieces of charcoal, not even a human being.
The demon's claws fell from above again, using Julius as a drum and striking it hard. The demon was tall and slender, with a slender body with a power that was completely invisible, and a speed that was not surprisingly fast. Julius was beaten to the point that his knees were bent and his arms were on his head. He didn't dare to take the broken sword to block the demon's attack, the red-burned sword body had already begun to melt, if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't have a weapon in his hand, he would have thrown this broken sword away a long time ago.
Now for Julius, how long his flame of life burns depends on how long he can hold on—and in this fire, his life may be burned to the ground.
Or there is another possibility, the fire of his life is burning brightly, becoming a flame that will not be extinguished.
