Chapter 144: Finding the Evil Woman's Bird
They left the church under Simon's leadership, and the tall burning house in front of the church had been reduced to a pile of charred ruins.
The roof collapsed, and a gable collapsed on its outside. Far and near, patches of charred bushes looked like wounds on the face.
In this calm air, the black smoke is still rising straight and slowly. A large pile of burnt ash residue was piled up in the open space at the edge of the bare wall.
"God forbid!" Simon kept drawing a cross on his chest, his eyes pitying.
"Let's go!" Ian urged impatiently.
They don't move forward very fast, partly through narrow alleys, partly due to Simon's constant back-to-back conversation with Jessica.
Alan thinks he can understand. When a man has admiration for a woman, his steps must be slow, and he can't help but approach her. Simon was exactly that at this point.
However, Ian was obviously impatient and kept urging. Alan suspects that if Simon drags on, Ian will most likely lose control of himself and cast a curse on him.
Simon stopped in front of a house with snow-white walls and green shutters.
"Well, this is Mr. Bellatrini's house. Simon said, his tone full of regret.
The house in front of me looked very neat and comfortable in the midday sun. But all its doors and windows were closed tightly.
Around this house, Alan and the others walked around a few times, but did not find the slightest trace of the evil woman.
"It looks like we're going to break into people's homes. Alan smiled and drew his wand.
"Uh, what are you going to do?" Simon's frightened gaze and the door opened silently with Alan's "Alajo Cave opens".
"Get in. Ian gave Simon a push.
"It's not right!" Simon resisted with his whole body.
"Hurry up, or I'll cast a curse on you. Ian simply did the evil to the end, and his cool expression revealed a hint of incredible hideousness.
Simon didn't know what the long stick Ian was pointing at him was, but it didn't stop him from recognizing that it was a weapon. The handsome, gentle boy just now used it to open the door.
Simon kept drawing crosses on his chest, muttering something in his mouth, and followed Alan into Mr. Bellatrini's house.
Ian walked into the house last, and he turned back and closed the door again before stepping onto the stoned steps.
Before entering the door of the room, Alan stopped everyone, Jessica and Ian looked at him puzzled, and even Simon, who was forced in, was very puzzled.
"Silence Mantra. As soon as Eren mentioned his name, Jessica and Ian understood what he meant. This is to prevent the cries of the evil birds from turning them insane.
The three of them cast a shut-off spell on themselves. Alan kindly cast a shut-off spell on Simon as well.
Simon suddenly felt that his world was silent, and there was not a single sound, "What have you done to me, why can't I hear anything?" he cried out in horror.
However, what made him even more desperate was that he couldn't hear his own voice at all.
"Shut up, fool!" Ian knew what he was shouting when he looked at Simon's appearance, but only after he finished scolding did he remember that Simon couldn't hear anything at this time.
Alan led everyone to a large room, he turned on the switch of the electric light, and a large chandelier hanging down from the roof instantly emitted a warm yellow light, illuminating the room.
There was little furniture in the room: only a few golden plates, a few large books, and a whole suit of armor between the two windows.
There are also some elaborate brocade paintings hanging on the walls. One is embroidered with Jesus crucified, and the other is embroidered with a shepherd boy and shepherdessman by a stream.
The layout of the room is simple but not simple, and it can be seen from this carefully furnished room that the owner is a person who loves life and has artistic taste.
Alan had a hard time matching the crazy family he had just seen in the church with the owner of the house.
"May the Lord bless Mr. Beltrini's family, and may the Lord bless me and Miss Angel as soon as possible to get rid of these two demons!" Simon prayed for Mr. Beltrini and his miserable self in front of the tapestry embroidered with Jesus.
The three of them had already begun to search the room. Since no one else has gone mad, it means that the evil bird has either flown farther away, or it may still be in this room.
Given the snowstorm that had fallen so hard last night, and the weather was so cold this morning, it was highly probable that the Evil Lady Bird was still in this room.
The three of them carefully inspected every corner of the house, but unfortunately they did not find the slightest trace of the evil woman.
Jessica walked to the window, lifted the heavy curtains, and shook her head, the Wicked Lady Bird wasn't there.
But her actions inspired Allen, who pointed to the painting hanging on the wall and motioned for Ian and Jessica to pay attention.
Then, like a cat, he cautiously approached the mural, and gently lifted the mural embroidered with a shepherd boy and shepherdess, and behind the painting was actually a hole in the wall.
There was an iron box in the cavern, but Alan wasn't interested in looking at the contents, and sniffing in his pet space might be eager to do so.
Alan gently and quietly returned the mural to its place, then walked over to another tapestry embroidered with Jesus.
As soon as the corner of the painting was lifted, a shining pink bird flew out of the air.
Jessica and Ian reacted quickly and worked well together. Jessica conjured a net to trap the Badva Bird, and Ian's Flying Charm succeeded in sending the bound Badva Bird into his hands.
"Well done!" Alan exclaimed, but still couldn't hear anything.
"Well, I think about it. With a wave of his wand, Eren cast a "Silence Charm" on the Evil Woman Bird in Ian's hand, and then lifted the Silence Charm on everyone.
Simon found himself able to hear the voice again, "You're just looking for the Devil Bird, who are you?" he stared at the Evil Lady Bird in Ian's hand, who was the one who could control the Devil's pet?
"Wizards and witches, I told you a long time ago!" Ian, who had found the Evil Woman Bird, was in a much better mood.
"Let's get out of here. "Having achieved their goal, Alan felt that they should get out of here as soon as possible.
The four quickly evacuated and walked into an alley near the house.
"Ladies and gentlemen, if it is too late for you to repent now. Simon still had a mind about trespassing into Bertellini's house.
"I think this is the end of our venerable priest's magical experience. Alan praised Simon for his courage, but it was better to cast the Forgetting Charm on him as soon as possible to avoid long nights.
