Chapter 143: Church Rescue
The fire had blocked the only gate to the courtyard, and Alan and the others were trapped in the room.
"You should all be retinue, right?" asked Alan and Jessica and Ian.
"Of course, young wizards with a little bit of a foundation in magic have to learn to manifest with their followers. Jessica looked at Alan in disbelief, it couldn't be what she imagined, right?
"Come and hold my arm. Alan clenched his wand in his hand, his gaze determined.
Jessica and Ian didn't get to the bottom of it, and directly put it on Alan's arm.
The next moment, they appeared on the circular platform of the church behind.
"Good luck!" Alan said happily.
"Don't tell me, you're the first time to phantom?" Jessica's tone was horrified, and Ian stared at Eren with a scared expression.
"Of course not, how could it be?" Alan burst out laughing when he saw the expressions on the two of them.
"When I say lucky, I mean that we didn't fall on something dangerous, and no Muggles saw us. Alan explained.
"Oh, then I think you might have been rejoicing too soon. Ian's tone was heavy.
Alan and Jessica followed Ian's gaze and the first thing that caught their eye was a large row of skyscraper arches, neatly arranged in front of the main church building.
Various human figures are carved into the deep portico with long drip pipes hanging from both sides, and the door of the main church is hidden behind the portico.
And a young priest in disheveled clothes and bloodless face collapsed in the doorway, looking at Alan with a frightened look in his eyes.
"He's injured and looks like he's going to have to heal his wounds before casting the Oblivion Charm on him. Jessica said calmly.
The three men hurried across the porch and ran towards the young priest.
With great effort, the priest raised his hand and reached in Eren's direction, moaning and letting out a faint cry for help, "Help me!" His lips and eyelids trembled.
When the three of them ran up to him, he was completely unconscious.
"This is a fox bitten and needs to take an antidote. Jessica often does household chores and is familiar with the creature.
"It just so happens that I have the antidote on me. Alan gestured and pulled out a small bottle of potion from the large pocket of his coat, but actually from the storage space.
"Why did you carry this with you?" asked Ian, curiously.
"It's not an antidote specifically for fox bites, it's a universal antidote. When you go out, you naturally have to take it with you. Alan shrugged absently, and Ian was silent.
Jessica took the antidote, and Ian held the priest's body down with one hand and lifted his head with the other. Alan opened his mouth, and Jessica slowly poured the potion into the priest's jaw.
Soon, under the influence of the potion, the young priest awoke.
He opened his eyes, and his gaze happened to be in front of Jessica. He felt a tremor pass through his body, and he saw a rainbow of colors in front of him.
Clearly, Jessica has a remarkable charisma.
"Are you an angel?" the young priest murmured.
Jessica burst into laughter, a sudden burst of smile that made the young priest even more smitten.
"She's a witch. Ian pulled Jessica away without a good voice.
The young priest was obviously not convinced, and he struggled to prop up the doorframe and stood up, "You are angels, and I saw that you suddenly appeared on the round platform. My name is Simon Rawls, and thank you for saving my life!
"You should be thankful for Merlin!" Ian snorted.
"There is no need to thank you, it may be due to the fire in the house in front of you, the fox escaped and happened to be bumped into by you, and it is normal to bite you in a panic. Allen's guess was exactly the truth, and the hapless priest happened to run into the fleeing fox.
"Alright, it's time to cast the Oblivion Spell on him, and we're going to find the Wicked Bird!" Ian urged, fazed Simon.
"Don't worry, we can just ask him. Jessica seemed very interested in Simon, she had never been so close to No-Maj.
"Have you ever seen a bird with dazzling pink feathers?" Jessica's soft voice was very moving.
"In this world, this young lady in front of me is definitely the loveliest person. Simon couldn't help but think.
"Are you looking for the Devil Bird?" asked Simon.
"Devil Bird?" Alan asked with interest.
"Yes, Monsieur Bertellini's family has gone mad when they have seen the devil bird. Simon drew a cross on his chest.
The three of them glanced at each other meaningfully, and the song of the evil woman bird happened to make those who heard it lose their minds.
"Can you take me to see them?" Jessica asked softly.
"Absolutely, it's my pleasure to serve you. Simon seemed to have received a great honor, and his face was radiant, and he did not look at all dying at all.
"Please come with me. Simon turned into the passage on the right side of the church. Alan and the others followed.
Although the church is not very grand, the interior decoration is imposing.
Six large stout columns support the bright vault. A pair of ornate pendants hang from the center of the vault. On the right side of the church, behind the altar is a curved wall with many reliefs carved into it, densely packed like a honeycomb.
There are also many window openings in the wall, which are of different shapes, some like stars, some are trilobal, and some are like wheels.
Not all windows are glazed, so air can circulate freely in the church.
There were many candles burning on the altar, about fifty or sixty. The state of candlelight varies, some are brilliant and bright, and some are half-light and half-dark.
On the steps in front of the altar, there were four Muggles, disheveled, with strange ornaments on their heads, bound and kneeling in front of the altar. They have strange smiles on their faces, as if they are immersed in their own fantasy world, and they can't help themselves.
Jessica stepped forward and waved her wand, and the rope on their bodies split and slid off their bodies to the ground.
The four of them woke up from a dream, and then suddenly knelt down reverently and prayed silently.
In just a split second, they had been cast the Curse of Consciousness and Oblivion.
Simon, who saw this scene, was even more convinced that Jessica was an angel sent by Jesus.
Alan and Ian each grabbed Simon's side and turned back to the church hall.
"Now take us to the place where they have seen the Wicked Woman. Ian said viciously.
Simon looked at Jessica, didn't contradict Ian, didn't mind his bad attitude, and obediently led the way ahead.
